Normally after an AEW PPV this board is spammed with AEW fans claiming AEW is 'back' for the 100th time. I've noticed that they aren't doing it this time. Have they finally realized that the 'feeling' will never be restored? Or was Forbidden Door just that underwhelming?

It was NJPW, CMLL and Stardom's fault that Forbidden Door was underwhelming. Nothing to do with us. Also OP's pic is from a "parody" account

>throwing the superior brands under the bus for a cheap comeback
you dont enjoy wrestling, you enjoy bitching

The first 4 hours of the show felt like one long Dynamite, very blasé. The ladder match never got out of 3rd gear (and the ending was anticlimactic), the Mox/Naito match was a slow plodding disaster, and the main event was a great match but didn't set up anything.

It'll get Dave Stars and high marks on Cagematch but AEW fan won't admit just how boring the show was and how dead the crowd was for the majority of the show. Too many matches crammed together - not enough video packages, short interviews and breaks in the action. The PPV didn't have a STORY to it to keep you hooked, it was just matches.

Forbidden Door has always been the dumbest of AEW's recurring PPVs. Should have made it a one-time event, maybe bringing it back every 4-5 years.

Kek, AEW fans do be like this.

I'm only just back to watching wrestling. What is the point of a crossover PPV in a promotion that regularly features talent from these companies and also eventually hires the biggest names? It feels like the WWE trying to hype up raw v smackdown survivor series matches when the brand split was all but dead. Also has forbidden door always been a phrase?
>>
It's just one of those filler ppv's.

It was a big deal for the first year or two when Harold didn't let anyone from NJPW work with AEW initially. Now it's lost meaning because they've basically absorbed all the smark favorites from New Japan already.

The term was coined by Tanahashi in an interview and they ran with it, though Tony has since tried to expand it to working with places like fucking TNA (lol)

>What is the point
There is none.

What is the point of AEW?

lmao, nice cope e-piggies. The feeling has been well and truly restored. AEW stays winning.
