Dave wants more match time and less skits, interviews and other things he can't grade and discuss as easily, because he doesn't have a normal spectrum of human emotions.Being able to drone on about the "story of the match" allows him to apply the same level of analysis to a 35 minute match that he does to a 12 minute match. On the contrary, when the show has a 12 minute match and 23 minutes of other segments, he's now forced to do actual work explaining why things are being laid out the way they are, the possible implications, how this contributes to a character's development, and so on. Being the fucking retard he is, this is too much work for Dave to handle and so he criticizes Dynamite as a result.

Subjectively he fucking hates it and you can see how he gives absolutely god awful girl matches in AEW higher ratings than genuinely good WWE matches.
