>Shane McMahon joins AEW.>He sees that Tony Khan is a clueless retarded manchild and opts to pose as his friend to gain trust and set up the eventual power grab.>Shane O-Mac stabs Tony in the back through some legal fuckery or third party bullshit tampering with Warner Bros. and gains total control of AEW.>All AEWtists commit mass suicide as Wednesday Night Dynamite Underground starts running wild.Oh it's true, it's true, It's DAMN true!
>>15109202Shane was literally fired from his own family promotion, if anything he will get along with tk seeing as he is also a son of a billionaire
>>15109202>Shane legally changes his name to "Tony Khan">He now owns AEW HERE COMES THE MONEYYYYYY
>>15109241>he will get along with tkShane spent his youth backstage during the Attitude Era, seeing some real shit go down. He 100% thinks TK is a mark loser and a fucking geek.
>>15109202I shoot don't think Shane is that smark
>>15109310Explain raw underground if shane isn't a mark loser then
>>15109310ok how you know
>>15109310His father treated him second fiddle to Steph throughout his whole life, he 100% wants to stick it back to his fathers creation. Shane is more straightforward than Vince who was always a two faced backstabber, if he signed with AEW he has only good intentions to help Tony
>>15109317Raw Underground is literally the furthest thing from mark booking. It had MMA-style fights because UFC is the biggest combat sport going and strippers in cages because sex sells. It was, in concept, the perfect product for young heterosexual men. It didn't succeed because reddit fags like TK and his ilk wanted to see yummy false finishes and springboard 450 splashes.
>>15109351It made MMA smark fags seethe
>>15109351I thought Raw Underground didn't succeed because it was basically booked in a vacuum like the Codyverse in AEW?
>>15109202>Tony... The name on the contract does say Khan... However, the contract reads... Nick Khan.
>>15109317What does that idea have to do with being a mark?
>>15109362It didn't succeed because its very existence undermined the central conceit of pro wrestling. By saying "this is where the real fighting is" while being just as scripted it was playing a no- win game with kayfabe.
>>15109241why is that?
>>15109202bork laser
>>15109458Yes and no. It depends how you present it. If you're saying "this is shoot combat" then sure. If you're saying "there's almost no rules" then that's fine. The problem with the latter is that it might bury your street fight and no DQ stips.
>>15109362Raw Underground didn't succeed because they didn't give it time to develop at all. Don't get me wrong, it had problems, but it only ran for so long before the company put the kibosh on it. But NXT has had a few undergound matches, some of which were actually good. So the concept has legs. Doing something new like that takes good foresight (something WWE especially lacked with later-stage Vince) and needs to be able to fail, so it can adapt and find its lane.
>>15109317raw underground failed because it took place during covid and the camera work was terriblelook at how popular bloodsport is now that an audience can actually attend
