>Tony Khan, a thought-leader in the world of sports analytics and insights, enters his 13th season with the Jaguars and his fourth in the capacity of chief football strategy officer.

>Under Khan's guidance, the Jaguars created a Football Technology and Analytics group in 2012. In addition to being a valued asset to the coaching and scouting departments, the analytics team also explores new technology and its applications within all areas of the Jaguars organization, including player development, injury prevention, game analysis and player evaluation.

Thought-leading analytical insight has led to... the lowest winning percentage in the entire league under Tina's "leadership"

I guess they can still get a wild card, but they've already lost tiebreakers to other AFC teams that will be in that area too and their schedule isn't cake. They got the Colts, Titans and Raiders, sure, but they also gotta play the NFC North, the Texans twice, the Eagles, the Patriots don't look like a pushover right now.

They look like a 7-win team right now, they're gonna have to steal a couple against good teams.

>>

>muh hecking virtuous NFL would never use ref calls to manipulate the spread and the final score

LMAO. It's 2024 and you still don't get it? The NFL, unlike college football, is officially registered as "entertainment," not as sport. This classification allows them to legally fix the outcome of games and remain protected under the law.

When the Jets fans sued the New England Patriots and the NFL for SpyGate years ago, the NFL argued that they have the legal right to control the outcome and rule calls however they wish because they are legally classified as entertainment, not sport. The court found in favor of the NFL.

Which means that the leagues can dictate outcomes of their own games. The NHL had to fire a ref for saying that he was rigging the game on a hot mic and they desperately tried to bury it. You'd have to be the dumbest of fucks to not see that big money pro sports are a work by now.

No, anon, what we believe is that the NFL has the LEGAL RIGHT to fix the outcome of games because they are officially classified as "entertainment" and not as "sport", under the law. Therefore it follows rationally that the NFL would exercise that right when they believe it to be beneficial in some way.

What's stupid is thinking that the NFL is a virtuous organization that respects the integrity of the game too much to ever exercise their legal right to fix the outcomes however they wish.

My favorite part about schizos are how they can tow the line for an hour or two during conversation and then the overwhelming urge to expose the truth will arrive and eventually we will get to Tom Brady being a lizard person and the smuggled funds from rigged NFL games being used to finance child prostitution for elites
>>
>>15842394
>for betting purposes

Only if the NFL and its representatives are directly placing bets. Now read my post again and show me WHERE I said the NFL rigs games in order to place bets on those games. No, they rig games to promote their sport or to promote a cause. They push teams and they push players, just like in pro wrestling. It's all for promotional purposes, to get more fans into the stadiums to buy tickets, to sell merchandise, and to convince cities to use their own funds to build/enhance NFL stadiums.

Is it starting to make sense now? The NFL is an entertainment business. Their goal is to make money. If the NFL and team owners believe they can up profits by rigging some of the outcomes, and they have the LEGAL RIGHT to do so, then why in the flying fuck would they then choose not to? That makes zero business sense.
>>
>>15842408
You're the only one talking about lizard people here. You're either a willing disinfo agent or a shoot retard. Epstein, Diddy, the Catholic Church and R. Kelly get caught running massive sex trafficking rings, but it's out of the question for NFL owners to be involved in adjacent scumbaggery? Don't be a mark.

Anon, these people are running a billion dollar organization, and several of whom are billionaires themselves. They know much better than you or I how to maximize profits. Again, I ask you the simple question, which you are terrified to answer:

If the NFL has the legal right to affect the outcome of games, and since they are a business whose purpose is to earn as much profit as possible, then why wouldn't they do so? What, exactly, is their incentive to NOT fix games? Of course there is incentive not to get caught, but they are apparently doing a great job of fooling rubes such as yourself.

You're legitimately on the level of a 9/11 or moon landing truther if you think sports are rigged.
Disregarding the improbable chain of command requirements necessary to do it, you'd be seeing betting trends sway over time, lines moving before kickoffs with massive but mostly imperceptible unless taken over a period of time swings. Sports ball niggers really are of the lowest iq, on par with unironic Kardashian viewers.
>>

Nico saved my ass this wk. Had him last season - he got that dawg in him! The kind that Tony would love to wank.

I'm a Jaguars fan and this is a 4 win team at best uniless Doug gets shown the door before the wheels fall off.
Trevor Lawrence has lost 7 games in a row and look at their schedule, there's literally only 2 teams I actually expect them to beat. Real Jags fans are legit just waiting for the season to end already
>>
>>15842465
>Lawrence
He's a bum. I'd rather have Justin Fields.
>>
>>15842947
so would the bears by the looks of it
>>
>>15842465
Casuals have him as a 15=20 guy but anyone that watches football would put him 5-8 in terms of pure passing ability and understand he's just part of a bad franchise
>>
>>15842955
Kek. I was baffled they traded him in the off season. I mean, they were never gonna build a team around him. But still, he was the best player they had.

i think the retarded coaches knew they were exposed as not being able to win and a new guy means they get another excuse/year of not being fired.
>>
>>15842993
Sounds about right.

It's funny that the Jaguars have the same issue with overpaying people as AEW does.

I guess it really isn't a problem for AEW though since there's no salary cap and Tony has infinite money glitch.

It's kinda funny that Shadid is almost as inept as Tony at running a business. He clearly is just the face man of some criminal activity.

There are FBI files on Wilt Chamberlain that prove he directly fixed games he played in. Also, 9/11 was a work. So was the moon landing.

Bengals and ravens are 0-2. The steelers have no qb. Are you stupid?

Are we getting Jags talk now on /pw/ because Tony Kahn? Hilarious
>Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was quick and to the point about his team's offense the first two weeks of the season.
>"We suck right now," he said.
>That came after the Jaguars scored just 13 points in a loss to the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium -- which was renamed TrEverBank Stadium for the day as part of Lawrence's deal with the financial company -- one week after managing just 17 points in a loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Can we get Fullham talk too?

We are the definition of meme team.

In one season we got promoted, we went on some stupid 20 something unbeaten streak.

Our streak got broken by Sunderland, who literally hadn't won in something like a fucking year.

We meme'd our way to a European final, beating Juventus 4-1 coming back from a 3-1 defeat in the first leg.

One season, we lost in the cup to a league 2 team (3 divisions below). That club is now in the national league, the 5th tier, and is a semi professional league.

We stopped arsenal from winning the league against Manchester City by getting a win and draw against them.

We had 2 players fight over who gets to take a penalty, and the one that took the ball off mitrovic missed a sitter.

We beat Brentford in a playoff final by chipping their keeper with an outrageous free kick.

We made John Terry cry on the television when we beat Aston Villa in a playoff final.

We drew 2-2 with Burnley, and their 2 goals were 2 own goals. We scored 4 goals and drew the game.

Whatever expectations, good or bad that are set upon us, we defy them simply because our club is a fucking meme.

Also, we had the Michael Jackson statue.

I remember that bullshit penalty playing a factor.

Giants fags last year complained all about le o line being soo bad

Jags was bottom 1 in pass pro in snaps over 3 seconds. They are a horrible team.
>>
>>15844247
They have a defense. And if DeShawn pulls his head out of his ass, probably the best qb passing wise. They aren't finishing last.

The NFL possesses an Anti-Trust Exemption to the law granted to it by President John F. Kennedy, which ultimately allows the NFL to classify itself as entertainment" rather than sport, as well as incorporate itself as a single entity instead of the 32 separate "franchises" they would want you to believe, contrary to the perception of the NFL being 32 separate franchises battling it out for gridiron supremacy. In a franchised environment, such as McDonalds (Business 101), each franchise is individually owned and operated and can participate in national promotions, have its own local promotions, or abstain from participating (hence the fine print in commercials saying "at participating locations"). This keeps the regionality of competition in tact without having to compete on a national level. MLB has this status, the NFL does not. Instead, since the NFL has this Anti-Trust exemption, it is able to package its teams in order to sell to national television companies, which today totals $6 Billion in revenue for the league That is 75% of the leagues total annual revenue. In a 2004 lawsuit vs the NFL, the NFL attorney Gregg H. Levy argued that the NFL is not a collection of 32 individual teams, but rather a single entity. And as long as the NFL teams are a unit, and they compete as a unit in the entertainment marketplace, then they should be deemed a single unit and not subject to any Anti-Trust laws."

It’s literally the same as the WWE

That’s what I’m saying though, people don’t realize just how bad the jags are. No team has a worse total record since the Khan’s became owners.

Baltimore would ass rape the Jaguars.
Cincinnati would stomp the Jaguars out.
The Rams would torch the Jaguars too.

>Literally be the WORST team in the league for 6-7 seasons

not an excuse
>>
>>15849012
they were perennial fringe playoff contenders basically every year of their existence outside of like 3 seasons before Khan took over
they never even held the #1 pick until 2020, they were one of three teams that never had to that point (the other two being the Broncos and Ravens)

You can kinda see where Tony gets the mentality
>all we need is a couple new players, game changers, to start winning again
Luckily the NFL has the rules they do or the Jags would be starting Tom Brady, CMC, Amon Ra St Brown, Kelce, and a Pro Bowl defensive line
