The reason it existed was WBD wanted 3 hours, not 2, and TK agreed but was given grace to implement it later on, but he still owed them a third hour of Wrestling programming. WBD didn't want to just give up something they were paying for. Thus WBD got a show that was effectively free, live but on the Friday night death slot and anything it did was just whatever and Dynamite stayed 2 hours.
