Nice "deal" TK

With the amount of money tony's father is burning on his son's LARP fed, it's shit.
>>
For a sensibly run company it would be a massive win. For a spendthrift company like AEW it's a disaster
>>
Genuinely very bad. AEW's expenses are insane for how much money they're bringing in. Tony spends way, way too much money on talent. And he also spends too much on venues when he doesn't sell nearly enough tickets to warrant that.

If he downsized on venues, and cut costs on talent and production, music, etc. it would be fine. But now? Fuck no. He could turn it around and be profitable, but he's an awful businessman mark who would never admit defeat just to become profitable. He thinks he's on WWE's level so he must do everything WWE does. And realistically, if he didn't overpay the shit out of everyone, no big name would go to AEW.

Easy profit especially when you add continuing PPV revenue and the promise of a Fox deal. Even if it wasn't, Tony Khan is rich enough to not care.
>>

>Even if it wasn't, Tony Khan is rich enough to not care.
How much of that are you getting, tranny?

How much are you getting for sucking the cock of a sex trafficking organization?

AEW isn't worth nearly as much as WWE, that's obvious

from what i understand, they something like 50~ ish mil before on their deal? and the 150 is beofre PPVs and shit. Obviously it's not getting a billion for smackdown, but for what AEW is, it's not bad.

Well Tony Khan pays each wrestler $10 million a year - so that's enough to fund 15 wrestlers per year? Seems like a major lose from a basic math point of view.
>>
>>15962692
imagine writing all of this when the monetary value hasn't even been confirmed

And why is that?
>>
If the roster was about 2/3rds smaller than it is, sure. AEW's current payroll is over $100 million a year and Tony has shown no signs of slowing down on signing people. MVP just signed, apparently Lashley has/is going to. Maybe even Shelton.

Outside of TV deal money, where else is cash coming in from? Their tickets sales are cold, their merch is terrible, their video game flopped. Add to the fact that live TV costs a shit-ton of money to produce.
>>

>AEW's current payroll is over $100 million a year
Proof?

>Dave said
Lmaooooo the desperation
>>
>>15964672
Meltzer said their payroll is 55% of their revenue in 2023. It’s even higher now. At that time their estimated revenue is $250 Milly for 2023. So that’s well over $125 Milly. Their revenue is estimate to trending to be half of what they did in 2023. So yeah, almost the entirety of their tv deal wouldn’t cover their payroll. This is all based on information from Dave.
>>
>>15964667
Just checked the catalog, and Shelton did sign. Jesus Christ.
>>
>>15964735
Dave is not a legitimate source. Drones confirm this on a daily basis.
>>
>>15964713
>>15964735
Dave has 0 AEW sources, this has been obvious for years now
>>
>>15964766
>>15964767
lol Dave absolutely has AEW sources, likely Tony himself. Tony may tell him false information, though. And if that's the case it's probably even higher than what we think. Pretty crazy, huh?

>If he downsized on venues, and cut costs on talent and production, music, etc. it would be fine.
Exactly. If he let's half of the roster go over the next few months and stops booking large arenas which they only sell 2000 tickets for, then he could easily get to the point where they're turning a profit. This deal isn't going to get them there on its own, without cost cutting.

Fucking kek. Got this tranny bubblin'
>>
>>15965444
Where do you think Dave gets the PPV numbers from?
>>
It would be fine if he wasn't giving everyone massive contracts. And having dwindling ticket sales/ppv buyrates. Seems more like a lateral move than an improvement.
>>
>>15965502
But then AEW would be TNA-tier
>>
Wbd got equity. So do they get a % of the money? Aew has never been profitable. What happens to the equity in 3yrs if aew leaves wbd? Why not a longer deal? Who wanted 3yrs aew or wbd?
>>
>>15962587
It'd be good if that wasn't Tony's budget for talent salaries
>>
>>15965546
They already are. They're big budget indie.
>>
>let's ask the schizos of 4chan if they know anything about massive tv deals
>>
>>15962587
Not really. Netflix is also covering production costs for WWE while Tony has to pay for his out of pocket. Tony also has a Sky high payroll which is at least half of that 150. Add in that Tony pays to rent out stadiums for big events while WWE gets paid with tax dollars for theirs. The Hobbyist fed remains a hobbyist fed while WWE is making the big bucks.
>>
>>15962587
Tiny and his army of troons claim AEW is competing directly with WWE which gets 500 milly a year on Netflix, you tell me.
>>
>>15962587
It’s a far cry from 1 billion
>>
I'm interested by the "Valued at up to" language
>>
>>15964766
Jericho, come on dude.
>>
>>15965546
AEW is TNA-tier. Tony either admits that and starts to make a profit, or sticks to his delusion that they're competing with WWE and keeps making losses.
>>
>>15964667
>Outside of TV deal money, where else is cash coming in from?

It’s coming in from all those bumpers that Shad Khan allegedly sold.
>>
>>15964713
I know this is a ragebait thread but
>Meltzer admits that the figure is a lot higher than what he initially thought, meaning that AEW's upcoming media rights deal would need to be worth at least $125 Million per year just to
guarantee the chance of breaking even.
If you look at this article

>Both AEW and WBD declined to share the financial details behind the deal. However, sources say it is a three-year deal with an option for a fourth year. The deal is estimated to be valued at $170M annually including the rights fee and other elements. WBD also keeps its equity stake in AEW, but the size of it was not disclosed.

And given the fact that they got 25 Milly the past 5 years yeah they're prolly fine. Can we shitpost about smth else
>>
>>15966009
You're an accountant who doesn't understand industry analysts projections are a thing?
>>
>>15962587
Nobody knows. BUT the fact that all of AEW's dickriders are trying to make it seem that AEW received much more than 150 milly seems to imply they got a really shitty deal. They're the experts after all.

now take into account all the other expenses like venues, equipment, filming, travel, taxes etc for a whole year

no way it covers the bills
