Vince's dad was a deadbeat that abandoned Vince to live with is mom in a trailer park. Vince was sexually molested by either his mom, his step-dad, or both, and admitted to as much in his Playboy interview. Not to mention that nobody develops the fucked up sexual fetishes that Vince has without being molested as a kid. Vince has a valid reason to hate his dad and screw him over on his deathbed. That was Vince's method of getting revenge. I agree with you that Vince is having a boomer moment by not giving the company to Shane though. Vince should have done so at least a decade ago, and then retired. Vince had no reason to screw over Shane. But then again, Vince is really fucked up.
