Last year was the first year they tried to make at least 2 matches matter with King and Queen of the Ring Finals. But, that was a MASSIVE mistake because by declaring the winners as the title contenders for SummerSlam really pigeon holed them. It gives them no space for organic changes. Like Priest actually getting over. Priests run was just picking up steam and building really well then they had to feed him to Gunther. It was dumb.So they learned their lesson and now we have the two big fake belts for the non canon event.
Nia wins because like Liv, she's got help but unlike Liv, she is the big monster. Cody loses due to KO and Randy shenanigans, furthering their story. RAW gets a winner, SD gets a winner.
