Where do you stand on the eternal debate between the money 'n' miles mentality and passionate mark for the business mentality?I think I can appreciate both at this point. Sometimes motherfuckers just want to get paid.Picture tangentially related.
>>16272353I’m on the passionate mark side of things. If you are looking for money and miles go follow actual celebrities.
>>16272353Work safe, work smart but please don't work boringI'm looking at you, Kevin.

>>16272353There's a happy medium. The money and miles thing makes sense purely from a theoretical standpoint. If you don't actually give a shit and aren't putting any work in and have no passion or have no connection with the fans then those miles are going to be short and the money even shorter because you're not gonna get booked or make it very far. Wrestling is drama and drama is emotion and you gotta put work in if you want to get people emotionally invested in you and your character or your story or your match. I don't think I need to explain the pitfalls of the opposite side of that coin. So you want to find a happy medium. Don't be a total mark for yourself or the business but give a damn and be willing to put in what you hope to see out of it
The best wrestlers are the ones who are willing to die in the ring.
>>16272916>willingwell its not like we can if ask if he wasn't
>>16272927Misawa had a letter pre-written to his opponent if he were ever to die in the ring. He absolutely knew it was happening.
>>16272353Money and miles guys like Kevin R. Nash pretend that they don't give a shit if their matches are good or not as long as they get paid but they're just lying. Big Daddy Bitch is a great example of someone who deep down wishes he had an actual body of work to be proud of and copes by saying "well I made a bunch of money and that's all that matters".
