I think the idea was to have the big bad heel faction cut promos to sound like the “bad faith” online haters that Tony cries about in every interview, so that when the faces triumph it would also feel like a victory over the naysayers. But of course since this is AEW, when Dean cuts promos about how shitty the company is everyone just agrees that he’s making valid points. i think its been refreshing for aew fans, theyve wanted to criticize it for ages but felt like they werent allowed because the rest of the fanbase would sperg out at them. now its like everything is out in the open and a weight is off their shoulders. even reddit is openly shitting on it now
