So Dynamite just did
>536,000, .15 demo
and I'd like everyone to reflect on the fact that the Costco guys did literally fucking nothing to save AEW's viewership.

The Tiktok crowd that watches the Costco guys will only watch them on social media. Not on PPV. Not on a TV show. Only on social fucking media.

All the "FRESH EYES" that AEW was exposed to? Yeah they don't care because they don't watch wrestling.

The Costco guys generated precisely 0(ZERO) new viewers for AEW, and if anything, they ran off some existing viewers as this dogshit rating suggests.

I've got nothing against the Costco guys. They got their bag and signal boosted their social media brand so good for them. But they're the only ones who benefited. As I so accurately predicted, and yes the entire reason I'm posting this thread is to gloat, AEW didn't benefit at all.

Afraid so.

Of course they did nothing, it’s a dad and his kid with an even smaller kid. It isn’t like Logan Paul who is a wrestler and a good one/good athlete as well.
Maybe Big Justice and the Rizzler can get training to be a tag team and end up in WWE as Logan’s muscle

How much $$$ did Tony waste on this failed stunt? Add it to his List for KWABOTY.
>>

The Costco Guys drew fresh eyeballs to the product. But it's still up to Tony and AEW to impress. They clearly failed to do that. Why? Because the general public doesn't want to watch small guys performing cringey, cooperative gymnastics routines. Get some real men that look like athletes and act like bad asses, and maybe this strategy would work.

God forbid someone try something new

The tiktok crowd doesn't have cable, who does anymore except boomers? They will absolutely watch AEW TV shows and PPVs when they're on Max. Well over a million people will be watching AEW every week, hell they're most of the way there even now just being stuck on cable.

>A billionaire spent money
That's not kwabworthy. Jesus you Vincels are so desperate for anything to get the heat off or the guy with an entire dildo collection of fake cocks named after other men in his life.
>>
A dirty secret about ratings is that it takes weeks or months to observe trends following some sort of supposed difference making event.
I don't know whether these zoomer-famous lads are gonna mean jack shit however, in fact they probably won't considering AEW's downward trajectory. Hard to heat it back up when you're that cold.

Please stop making fun of AEW
They're trying

>will only watch them on social media.
That's all pro wrestling fans in 2024. Nobody watches TV anymore except for football, and even the NFL is testing the waters on Netflix and Amazon Prime. That's why every single wrestling company literally uploads entire full segments from PPVs on Youtube and Twitter like an hour after airing, they don't even give a shit anymore, they're all moving to Netflix and HBO max. Caring about TV ratings is for cringe boomers stuck in the past, now it's about social media engagement.
>>

NFL is on a bunch of streaming platforms already.
>>
>>16388669
I said it on the day of the show. Anyone tuning in to the free pre-show to see the Costco Guys match tuned in for what they wanted to see, and didn't bother watching the rest. No one's going to impulse buy a $50 PPV just because some fat TikToker they like appeared on the pre-show.

Bobby Lashley is an anti-draw too

>it's about social media engagement
And social media engagement generates money and viewership how? What you're doing is actual boomer thinking I'm afraid. Social media is trendy, and like with all trends, boomers think they can ride the wave and profit from it somehow. But they can't. Social media engagement won't make people watch your shows or buy your products. The only thing social media engagement generates is further social media engagement, and the only people who benefit from it are social media content creators who survive off of sponsorships and/or donations. That's why social media works for the Costco guys but it doesn't work for AEW.

Nothing will do anything for AEW. It had its chance and squandered it by Tony siding with the Elite over Punk.

Dubs confirm this sad truth

Basic marketing concepts are advertising, brand exposure, and the different way younger generations in particular learn about things and end up spending money on them. People without cable watch NBA highlights, follow NBA stars on social media, play NBA video games, etc. Then some of them buy tickets and merchandise. To pretend cable TV is the only gateway in 2024 to the NBA or AEW or your local minor league baseball team is ridiculous. Perhaps 1 percent of Costco guy fans started following AEW on social media. Perhaps some will notice when they come to their town and buy tickets. Perhaps some noticed Darby Allin or whoever and thought he was cool and will buy an action figure. New wrestling fans have to come from somewhere and it's mostly not going to be from television.

>brand exposure
Brand exposure does nothing for AEW. Every wrestling fan on Earth is already aware that it exists and they've already formed an opinion about it. The only people who haven't been exposed to the AEW brand are people who don't watch wrestling, and exposing it to them is pointless because they don't watch wrestling. That's why Tony's brand exposure stunts always have been, and always will be, completely futile.
>>
>>16388669
The DaVinki twins did nothing for them either, despite actually being trained wrestlers
>>
>>16388705
The costco guys werent even on the main ppv, they were on the pre show. So whether or not you wanted to see them aew hid them in a show most would ignore.
>>

Yeah, he has no charisma. Shelton benjamin is playing the role of monster heel better currently. It looks like he wants to rip his opponents limb from limb. Its actually different to his WWE stuff whereas Bobby is just doing the same because he thinks
>Black guy in suit = badass lol
and they dont need anything else to make them cool. Shelton's wearing a suit too, Bobby.

The crippled one DID NOT like this thread.

When the fuck did the Voros twins get this much exposure from Tiny
>>
The match was kino, I've seen it at least three times and I hope to see them again

People aren't born watching wrestling and casual fans come and go. The Costco guys audience seem to be younger ages where they form new hobbies and give up others, with thousands of things competing for their attention. Kids might know who Tony Hawk is and know there is an X Games and such, but Costco guys could still help by highlighting young skaters and events.

You literally don't know shit about how business, marketing, and advertising works. In order for you to grow your fanbase / customer base you need to not only appease your existing fans to keep them but also do new things to appeal to people who aren't already fans. Tony's inability to grow his brand has nothing to do with the approach itself rather just his own incompetence and detachment.
