AEWbros why don't we have draws like Punk and Roman?
>>
Does social media views ever translate to better ratings for shows?
>>
>>16392060
They caused over a million people to stop watching slopdown overnight a few months ago
>>
>>16392060
Kek what fucking cope is this?
>>
>>16392071
Its the truth unfortunately. Why did AEW viewership fall off a cliff after Punk left?
>>
>>16392067

>>16392071
You got Trev the cripple bubblin with this one OP
>>
kek trannies are sliding this one
>>
>>16392060
You had Punk but your pussy boss decided that two anti-draw faggots and Jack Perry were worth more KWAB
>>
>>16392060
They ran their two biggest draws off and cooled off anyone that got over so no one was able to reach the same level
If someone as boring as Damian Priest can be a big merch draw in WWE then anyone in AEW that isn't a complete obvious bust like Adam Cole could have easily reached that level if Tony wasn't incompetent at booking and marketing them
>>
>>16392060
They dont know how to tell stories or act but they do know a lot about anime and video games
>>
>>16392492
>>16392512
sad but true
>>
>>16392060
We have upcoming stars like Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta. I’ll take those any day. Dynamite was just on before Thanksgiving which is why it didn’t draw and there was NBA on.

A key part of this is AEW doesn't understand how to make merchandise people want to buy. You mentioned Damian Priest, his gear is either goth or Puerto Rico inspired, this appeals to those demos as well as wrestling fans, when AEW makes a t-shirt they slap some phrases or design on it that has no relevance to a casual fan or person passing you on the street. I have second hand embarrassment for the Okada shirt particularly.
>>
>>16392060
Is it possible that WWE is the draw and not Punk?

Punks last Collision did a 550k average.
>>
>>16394330
AEW fans are, by percentage, higher income/educational attainment and less likely to buy shit that says "BITCHES" or "YEET"
>>
>>16394348
Punk is a draw in WWE. It's like having Beyonce endorse you as President and being surprised people didn't vote you into office, people want to see Beyonce on a stage, they don't want to see Beyonce on a stage giving political speeches nearly as much. People want to see Punk wrestle, they don't want to see him wrestling in an AEW ring. At one time they did, but they blew it. Simple as.
>>
>>16394361
weird how there's no appreciable change in the ratings if punk is on the show or not, almost like WWE is the draw and your weird political analogy was retarded
>>
>>16394371
You don't consider the rating maintaining viewership as a positive? How come when The Young Bucks wrestle the ratings spike downwards? These are stock charts you fucking child, they are trying to sell ads and maintain an audience.
>>
>>16394379
*aren't
>>
>>16394379
>b-b-but he m-m-maintained!!!!
as I said no appreciable change in ratings regardless if he is on the show or not, other anon was right and you are wrong. simple as.
>>
>>16394387
So I guess the people buying his merch don't watch the show or follow it through social media, they just like the designs. You're right dude, I think maybe Chicago is the draw, not Phil Brooks.
>>
>>16394390
now you're mad and trying to change the subject lmao, just admit you were wrong fatso
>>
>>16394394
I like how you imagine I'm fat because I know how to interpret trends. But you're right, if they don't spike a rating its like it wasn't even worth holding the sold out event.
>>
>>16394403
I imagine you're fat because you argue like a child and likely have no discipline lmao
>>
>>16394410
>b-b-but he m-m-maintained!!!!
>you argue like a child
Pick one, faggot.
>>
>>16392060
You had Punk and he didnt draw
>>
>>16394415
yeah I was right about that fatso, and you immediately moved the goal posts because you knew you were wrong and couldn't admit it.
>>
>>16394440
You're the one arguing Punk isn't a draw because muh cable ratings. You live in 1998.
>>
>>16394361
Is he a draw though? Raw dipped despite his appearance. His SDL appearance didn't add much of anything?
>>
>>16394442
he isn't the draw, WWE is, as proven by the ratings. correct. just like they were selling out shows before he came back. this really isn't that difficult, you're just retarded.
>>
>>16394449
So is your logic that people buy Phil's more than others because he happens to be a guy in WWE? You know there are other metrics besides cable ratings. I don't watch any of the weekly shows, I watch the PPVs to see Punk wrestle though. I'm still a fan, I buy merch and occassionally go to shows. They make money from me following their show online. Some people actually have lives.
>>
>>16392060
We stole The Codeman too. If AEW has any draws, we take them! Simple as.
>>
>>16394357
They why dont they use their big brains and buy more tickets to shows?
>>
>>16394442
You should have just pulled out the various quarters where there is a huge spike for a Punk segment. There was one where he confronted McIntyre that was comically large
>>
>>16394458
oh, you're a philcel, now it makes sense
yeah you are irrelevant to the ratings, ticket sales or anything else. you affect zero dimes. also get a life lmao
>>
>>16394477
Are you even a wrestling fan?
>>
>>16394484
apparently I am more of a fan of you since I don't only watch PPVs that Phil is on and only buy Phil merch
>>
>>16394485
Did I say that? I watch the PPVs to see a number of people, I'm not a huge Punk fan I'm just not a delusional tranny naysayer like you. AEW used to be a hot ticket, I saw their second show ever and was there in 2021 when you had to buy resale tickets. Those days are over. If WWE isn't a popular show right now then wrestling as a whole isn't relevant and you are living in delusion.
>>
>>16394443
not really
The smarks are the one that love him and they will watch no matter what
so hes not drawing shit
>>
>>16392866
>We have upcoming stars like Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta.

The very definition of grim
>>
>>16394436
You know what this inherently proves? It’s not and has never been about AEW having or going to get talent on their roster. The company is fatally and fundamentally flawed in how it is run and booked. Which means it doesn’t matter if you had 2001 Rock and Austin on your roster, your show would still be in the shits because the show’s structure/format in and of itself is horrible. A case of it doesn’t matter WHO you sign. Talent isn’t fixing the problem.
>>
>>16392060
Roman was totally made up and pushed down the throat of fans as the new Cena for years before at last becoming virtually liked. I say "virtually" because now fans like him only because they think everybody love him.
>>
>>16392060
Well, we have Nyla. Freakshow circus don't exist anymore so all the people who want to see a monster come to see him. He's kind of a draw.
>>
>>16394607
How long are they going to be "upcoming" before we decide these guys suck ass?
>>
>>16394674
It's because his heel run is decent. He also doesn't cut lame comedy promos anymore, which goes a long way
>>
>>16394361
EMINEM is a DEMOCRATIC SHILL. Even HE couldn't save Joe BIDEN because it's too far off the range for regular people to RESPECT it. Same with semen punk in aew
>>
>>16392060
this board endlessly flipflopping between whether social media views matter or not will always make me laugh
smarks are faker than the wrestling they watch
>>
No sliding!
>>
>>16392060
Good question
>>
>>16392060
because poop dick wrestling's booking is inconsistent and shoddy.
>>
>>16392060
Tiny can't make stars
>>
>>16392060
lol you care about twitter views what are you a five year old rofl
>>
No sliding!
>>
>>16394330
this is interesting because i remember people saying the same shit about WWE merch not even a few years ago. how every shirt was cringe as fuck and just slapped their catchphrase or face on a shirt and called it a day. guess they got a clue.
>>
>>16392060
So we're getting Punk vs Roman at Mania right?
