Why is WWE the only company hot right now? Literally every other wrestling company is cold as shit even compared to last year. WWE is starting to outdraw NJPW in JAPAN and AAA in MEXICO. Even WWE partnered companies like NOAH and TNA get boosts and then end up worse than before after the luster wears off. Why so cold? What’s the endgame? A total monopoly on wrestling?
tna is literally still doing better than it has in a long time, but you're mostly right
>>16434297They have been white hot since 2022, people are sick of the bullshit and just want pure entertainment back, which WWE can deliverYou can post your "allure of WrestleMania" memes all you want, there's truth to the statement, it really does have a big event feeling like nothing else
>>16434299The success of TNA is privy to WWE's success Everyone except AEW gets a piece of the pie
>>16434310i think wwe is just way more tolerable than hollywood slop right now which would explain the upswing
>>16434297Wrestling is a complex thing that requires a Booker who not only understands the sport and the audience, but pop culture trends and long term storytelling. You need to mix that with talent and luck (that the talent doesn't get uinjured).
>>16434299TNA through its own booking has fucked up the Joe Hendry lighting in a bottle and people are begging him to be signed to WWE. He’s now regressed to comedy midcarder while Dolph Ziegler and JBL are your top act
>>16434354yeah but more people are still going to the shows than they were last year
Because of roman, now they are cooling him off it is cooling off
WWE has good-will now that it's Vince McMahon free. Tony raped the indies and NJPW of all the indie darlings and killed them with his booking.
>>16434297I know its easy to dunk on AEW but I actually think the wrestling market isn't big enough for two companies to both be hot for an extended period of time. Remember when WCW was booming WWF was in decline and on the ropes and the when Vince finally rebounded them on their deathbed. AEW only thrived at first because WWE was the absolute worst it was in decades, now that they got hot there is no room in people's lives for a second wrestling show.
>>16434361Yeah because JBL and Nemeth are actually good at pro wrestling
>>16434386Then the question then becomes what would make WWE cold again? The last one was a decades long gradual decline while the one before that was the steroid scandals
>>16434354Shower homo JBL is working in TNA?
>>16434459They are basically fucked once they have to resort to the current crop of NXT "talent" and NCAA kids they recruited who are all complete garbage and are just using WWE as a stepping stone And that's like two years from now
>>16434459i honestly think wwe is really future proofed right now, they have a developmental system that actually works, a booker who actually plays to their talents strengths, a deal with netflix etc. i think wwe is pretty much more untouchable than it has ever been right now. i guess hhh dying could fuck it up? but like you'd just replace him with heyman or borash or something and the show would get better anyway lol
>>16434473stupidest post in the fucking world
>>16434479Something drastic like a Benoit moment might slow it down or a hostile takeover but that is very unlikely. Vince merging with UFC specifically was in hindsight a fantastic move. Since now someone needs to buy both to implement regime changes in any way
>>16434297Shut up faggot. Slopdown lost more than a million viewers this year. The fed is ice fucking cold. AEW though? Now THAT is what a RED HOT product looks like. No wonder Zaslav gave them a 185 milly deal.
>>16434297In what fucking world is it hot right now? What, that the remaining 1.5 million retards left watching are eating up the slop? Kek get a clue pinhead. Pro wrestling peaked in 2000. Let it go.
>>16434297Only 1 major company is hot at a time. There is typically a correlation of how well the other companies are doing too. NJPW + indies were hot in 2010's while WWE is shit -> AEW drains NJPW and the indies and is hot while WWE is shit -> WWE is hot while AEW cools off and the companies they drained are still recovering
>>16434297It's just because WWE is run by a creative team who knows how to put on a wrestling show. They also have top stars like Cody and CM Punk. AEW is run by an autistic manchild who doesn't understand how to book a show, but he's hired a lot of the great talent from all these other companies, which weakens them tremendously. It sucks, because a rising tide should lift all boats, but AEW is a fucking millstone around the neck of the wrestling world.
>>16434472He doesn't "work" there exactly. He just clotheslines people during main events and leaves. An enigma. He does the same thing in GCW now. No one knows what he's planning.
AJPW is actually doing great right now compared to a couple years ago. Obviously they're not WWE level but their situation isn't dire anymore.
