[Good News] Variety just listed Tony Khan as one of the most successful dealmakers in business in 2024

>In October, five years to the week after Khan launched professional wrestling promotion AEW as a direct competitor to Vince McMahon’s long-dominant WWE, he closed a multi-year media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, worth a reported $185 million a year, that calls for AEW’s shows and events to be broadcast on TBS and TNT and stream on Max. The company is now valued at more than $2 billion, making it the third-most-valuable combat sports company in the world.

hell yeah maven
>>
>>16508094
Outside of the wrestling bubble you always see praise for TK and AEW. It's almost surreal.
>>
Erm SCjerk... what's our narrative???

She's called Mavanne now chud
>>
>>16508094
don't care just glad maven is going mainstream
>>
>>16508107
wrestling fans are incredibly stupid and have no concept of business. Just look at this board.

i thought football (egg) and football (ball) fans hated him?
>>
>>16508130
You'll find online spergs that hate just about anyone in sports
>>
>>16508130
Why would Fulham fans hate him? They're punching way above their weight right now and are a very stable club
>>
Please slide this bros
>>
Drones finna be mass reporting this one so it gets deleted real quick kek
>>
>>16508094
The TKO guys made the list too. They're like 46th out of 50 just below the manager for the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. Tony is #1.
>>
>>16508172
The stuff of the Fulham fans hating him was from about 2 - 3 years ago mainly and at that time they were looking like they were gonna go towards relegation, your right though they are managing lately to drop too many losses through wins and draws.

Because from the outside with no concept of the golden opportunity he was handed manifest by WWE's decades-long incompetence he does seem genuinely impressive and not like a bumbling retard

it's not a numbered list

I gave up reading after the first couple. Most people aren't gonna make it to TKO. The early ones are the ones they want to showcase and the rest are basically runner ups.
>>
>>16510553
it was a viewer count not a rating

Those three people look like they combine to make Maven

>five years to the week after Khan launched professional wrestling promotion AEW as a direct competitor to Vince McMahon’s long-dominant WWE, he closed a multi-year media rights deal
Tony wrote this, surely. No one would type that out besides him. And Tony personally did not negotiate any deal, he's not qualified to do that.
>>
>>16508107
>you always see praise for TK and AEW
Outside of the wrestling bubble there is no coverage of are at all and Tony was a laughing stock in public long before he started playing wrestling
>>

Cry more bitch
>>
>>16510652
Yeah totally. That one flag meme from years ago means everyone.
>>
>>16508172
Because Tony is no longer involved with any decision making. He was heavily involved in the team getting relegated twice, after never being related in it's history prior to Tony's involvement. He would go on twitter and cope that he's doing a great job and he was ridiculed for it.
>>16508315
>they were looking like they were gonna go towards relegation
They got relegated multiple times because of the new management. It's well documented.

>>16510666
He was called out on TV as a clown by soccer legends, his own players and coworkers publicly complained about him.
>>
>>16510678
Yeah show me where these places cover the day to day operations of AEW, their finances and review their shows.
Oh wait, they don't. Tony feeds his dad's friends some fake numbers and they print it as a favour
>>
>>16510702
>when I said no coverage I meant they refuse to cover the headcanon I share with my boyfriend on Reddit
>>
>>16510688
do you watch any sports at all? that's pretty standard
even legendary coaches get heat sometimes
>>
>>16508094
AEW marks continue to have no idea how the TV industry works. This is the type of article your publicist pays to have you featured in for publicity.
>>
>>16510732
>They do cover it
>Prove it
>No you are Reddit waaaa
Sorry for the loss of your brain
>>16510733
It's absolutely not standard for some random American man's son to get called out during football coverage for being a twatish moron and have the people who work for his dad publicly calling him and idiot. It's actually something that never happens.
>>
>>16510763
That happens all the time actually.
>>
>>16510803
It doesn't. Fulham got relegated directly because of Tony's involvement, the year before Tony was involved they were in international tournaments. The year Tony got involved they got relegated for the first time in history, and then the second time came soon after. Tony gets sent off to play with wrestlers and the team bounce back and are now near the top of the premiership. Crazy how that works.
In all my years of following international sports I have never seen an owner's son become the target of all blame and ridicule regarding the performance of a team, except for Tony who that happened to in two sports in two countries

Tony is a ruthless businessman

That's why controlled opposition is fed to dirtsheets to spread negative PR like "wildifire" I paint AEW in a bad light of incompetence.

I don't know who these drones are, you replied to me and I watch aew, I don't watch WWE. It seems like you have severe mental issues and that you also can't follow a conversation without speeding out about your boogeymen.
>>16512279
First of all, he's not. He delivers statistics reports. "Director of football" is a title, not a job with responsibilities. Tony shows up to meetings to read out what his team did. When he was allowed to order the team around it was a fucking disaster so he had all of his responsibilities taken away, and this is well known. Tony himself explained that he doesn't do any work in his sports jobs to Ariel Helwani, with it being the only worthwhile answer he gave in the entire video. He literally has admitted this himself.
As if it would actually be possible for that idiot to handle even one full time sports position on its own, let alone pretending to do 5 full time jobs while tweeting nonstop and appearing on podcasts and having 6 hour phone calls with Meltzer.

Yes 2 billy

Is this true?
