No shit, this idea they were turning a profit was ridiculous. Outside of PPV buys which, the numbers claimed have to be taken with a grain of salt because AEW is a private company, so no need to tell the truth. Where was the money coming from? Their merch is terrible, their game flopped, outside of PPVs, they sell between 1,500-3K tickets. Add in the costs of running live TV, production, talent/crew pay, there was no way they were even close to breaking even let alone making money. Only way is if Tony/his dad are eating the costs and aren't on AEW's books.
