>Finally got around to watching the Netflix debut
>Kayfabe/Character breaks
>Storylines dropped, retconned or suddenly ended on a flat note

This didn't feel like a Triple H booked show. Hell, didn't even feel like a Vince one either. Did they give the books to some intern or something? They majorly dropped the ball last night.
>>
>>16677256
You know how it be. Better praise Papa H and Rocketty or else
>>
>>16677256
>Storylines dropped, retconned or suddenly ended on a flat note
Which ones were those?
>>
My theory is that Netflix got heavily involved in the debut.
>>
>>16677336
Really? The fucking main event of this past year's Wrestlemania. Everything involving the Rock was just wiped clean as if the Final Boss was never a thing. Zero explanation for anything he had done across his two appearances following Mania. Shaking hands and hugging Cody. Putting the falafel on Roman. Back to sellout smiley Dwayne
>>
>>16677342
I don't know about that, I think it was more they just wanted as clean of a slate as possible without doing a complete reboot show.
>>
Watch next week's Raw be back to normal booking sense wise. I think there was some outside interference.
>>
>>16677336
>retconned
They went on some weird bullshit during the women's match about how Edge manipulated Rhea into joining the Judgment Day and tricked her into being bad or some shit. Which never once happened or was a part of that story
>>
>>16677363

The press conference stuff after says otherwise. Triple H spoke about it and how it's a direction he's happy with and thinks is the way forward. So enjoy more Colby Lopez references and referring to feuds as "stories" within the actual product

>The Rock
Well it makes sense for Dwayne to be cordial for Roman, but yeah, the Cody shit makes zero sense. I can agree with that. Though to be fair, even the post Mania Raw Dwayne came out and had that awkward exchange which made him look like a loser. You could reason it in story as him getting over it in his weird way, and now about 8 months later, he's more "at peace" with it. FB Rock is now a businessman in kayfabe, so he could also appreciate Cody from a financial standpoint. But this is a lot of headcanon to explain plotholes.
Point being, since Rock had a stronger presence this time, he'll probably be back more often and be in WM41 to some degree. I saw someone say they'll use his now coconut king status to challenge Roman or whatever, which makes sense I guess, but it's still retarded that "The Rock" as a character is now effectively dwindled down to retarded heritage bullshit somehow worse than Cody. Kinda reminds me of Naruto.
>>16677375
I admittedly didn't pay fully attention to the women's match because lol women, but that does sound fucking stupid. I doubt many people paid attention to that either.
>>
>>16677424
That's not me killing myself though. You're forgetting the self part you cringey weeb

Idk what happened. But i watched it with my wrestling buddies and it was a tough night. Nothing made fucking sense.

>he'll probably be back more often and be in WM41 to some degree
He won't. He has reshoots for Moana that he has to do during that time. He's all but explicitly out for Mania this year. Which is likely why they did just drop everything. It's bullshit and all the more reason why they shouldn't have spent 5 years building a story around a guy who could never be available for it

Idk who this lady is but I’d love to breed a strong Semitic son into her

>>
>>16677462
I just thought it was super boring too. The pacing was dreadful. Felt like 30 minutes between matches. And not even of promos or backstage stuff. Just panning around to """celebrities""" and ad after ad. The crowd was completely silent during parts of the main event even
>>
>>16677479
Nah I'm good thanks. You're plenty welcome to tell me how I'm wrong about any of that but clearly you can't which is why you're seething

Comrade, your post has been reported to the WWE People's Police for anti-party sentiment.

I think the show was for netflix suits and advertisers.

>reshoots
Isn't this the same motherfucker who said something about how WWE is his life when he came back last year? I dunno. I still don't think they dropped it yet since he'll be on NXT tonight. But I guess we'll see.
>>16677485
What got me was the completely loud silence during Miz's interview with Kross. Like... why was no one making any noise? Surely not EVERY person in the building was a casual. They popped for Miz's catchphrase but the whole thing was strange.
>>
>>16677540
How so? They already made the deal and signed the contracts with WWE a year ago. It's not like this was a trial run for WWE or them needing to sell Netflix on their programming to pick up the show. This is what WWE offered completely on its own. The cope and excuse making for it is wild. You're allowed to've just not liked it
>>
>>16677570
>Isn't this the same motherfucker who said something about how WWE is his life when he came back last year?
>Believing Dwayne
I mean that's a you problem and not something I personally would allow myself to do at this point. But yeah the guy is every bit as full of shit as you'd think
>NXT
He's only there because of his daughter and the fact that they may never get the chance to have an onscreen appearance together in the next decade at his rate. What's going to be funny is how bad he mogs her considering just him standing in the same ring as Roman was enough to lil bro the guy
>>
>>16677256
They were basically treating it as if it's the first WWE show the viewers had ever watched, which is actually true for a lot of people right now.
>>
>>16677256
It was a PR event for corporate advertisers disguised as a wrestling show.
>>
>>16677889
>>16677941
First Raw I've watched in months. It failed to make me want to watch another. So good job I guess
>>
>>16677355
You mean a HEEL might be lying, rewriting history and just pretending to be friends with babyfaces?
I don't mean to be rude here, but have you ever fucking seen a single wrestling show in the history of professional wrestling? Are you seriously this fucking stupid?
Advertisers are correct about wrestling fans.
>SPOILER: Rock is going to layout Roman or Cody as a turn before WM. If thos was any more telegraphed they'd need neom fucking signs
Jesus Christ how do retards like you watch anything that has the slightest bit of depth when WWE simplistic baby stories are too hard for you? You're autistic right? I'm not shitposting here, you seriously are right?
>>

>>

Cody and Rock were laughing and sharing drinks later on. It also makes Cody look shit too. Great booking there, really good stuff. The truth is Rock did the Cody stuff to basically nix their potential feud. Its over, Rock isn't back until at least WM42 and he'll be doing Roman there instead.

It's pretty obvious that The Rock isn't wrestling again and at 54 he's effectively retired.
>>
>>16677889
>They were basically treating it as if it's the first WWE show the viewers had ever watched
I agree that's what they were going for. But do you seriously think any new viewers enjoyed Rock shilling Netflix, Hogan shilling beer, and countless shots of B list celebrities?
>>
>>16678119
hey seethster. The Rocks segment sucked shit, and was a retcon. It wasn't a character within the storyline lying and setting up a future heel turn. He was just there to suck off Netflix execs. Now let me ask you. Are you autistic? I'm not poopposting either bru, you seriously have zero rizz.
>>
>>16677479
