What was the last wrestling event you went to live? Was it good? Bad? Awful?
>>
Front row at a house show a few years ago. Right before Cawdy came back I think. Card was pretty weak but it was fun for the live experience. I'd been to past shows but never that close.

>Most noticably shorter than their billed height
>All way more jacked than you'd think, even the "out of shape" ones
>Women surprisingly way hotter than on TV
>Matches felt way less fake and coordinated with them calling it in the ring
>R-Truth, Miz, and Gable give 110% effort into entertaining the crowd
>All the guys were catcalling Trish in full milf mode
>Big Time Becks blew me a kiss because I was catcalling her instead

Compared to sterilized bland TV, the stripped down presentation and improvisation felt old school and fun. And showed me that many of these wrestlers are far more charismatic and entertaining than TV allows them to be.

Went to a super low rent indie where Mance Warner was wrestling years ago. He’s a college friend of my brother in law. I really love no name indies. Tons of fun. Before that I went to an NXT show. It was whenever Pokemon Go was big because all the neckbeards I saw playing that while walking around were at the NXT show.

At the NXT show I went to I sat by the railing and I was shocked by the size of the wrestlers. I towered over The Revival and I am SHORT. Though I went to a Smackdown show once and sat in the front row and thought Sheamus was gigsntic up close.

sounds fun desu

Only show I ever went to was an episode of Raw. Looking back, it was probably a decent episode, but I remember being pretty disappointed at the time.

wm40. it was incredible. night 1 was way too fucking cold and i was cocky and didn't bring a jacket. night 2 was a lot more comfy

Windy city heat after mania in Chicago. I went in a Miz shirt. It was based.
>AZM was the best girl wrestler
>Ospraeys wife was dimeless and manly
>Eddie Kingston had the loudest pops of the night
>ZSJ wrestled Shooter and me and my buddy were like "who's the gay Asian flair"
>Mox beat Naito for the IWGP and I went straight here and Twitter to laugh at all the memes
I'm mostly a fed watcher and my friend is mostly an AEW fan but we both thought the show was based and mox getting the strap seemed retarded. It ended up being a pretty historic show for the new downfall of NJPW (so I'm told)

The Raw on netflix was the first show I ever went to. I thought it was great, though now I wonder what it's like to be at a ECW-style show ringside.
I was marking out a lot and got into it, but everyone around me was just spic dads with literal children rooting for Roman Reigns.
Not making this up, Roman's fanbase is literally 5-10 year old demographic. Got a few angry looks when I shouted "rapist" at CM Punk.
Yeah, I hate that I was born too late to participate in ECW shows.

Last Raw on USA. Had a blast.
Going to Collision in about a month. It's the last one before Grand Slam so either it's going to be surprisingly above average as far as star power is concerned because they'll be flying to Australia the next week...or it's going to be the absolute shits and loaded with even more ROH garbage than usual.
>>
I went to a few gcw shows in Atlantic City when they ran in the cool looking room, now they run in the fucking bus terminal

Yeah. Dawkins and Priest were legit 6'4/6'5. Omos isn't whatever they bill him but definitely clears 7 feet.

The guys billed in that 6'0 to 6'2 range were my height or shorter (I'm 5'11) except Miz and Truth. But in terms of muscle they're all huge.

wow. I never knew Tim Heidecker was a wrestling fan

Way better than the TV events. Right after lockdowns and in a down period too so tickets were cheap.

money in the bank 2016 because i was going to be in vegas that week anyway and i wanted to see styles vs cena.
it was an alright show. DEAN cashing in was probably the highlight.

Indie shows are usually decent or so bad they are funny
