It's weird how 2 of his biggest haters in Punk and Jim admit he's a nice guy, but fans online act like he's the enemy of wrestling or something. Yeah you don't have to lick his ass just because he's a nice guy, but wouldn't you want more guys like this in the business? If Jim's wife died tomorrow, Tony would probably make the biggest donation to the inevitable GoFundMe. I don't think we should be nice to the guy and not criticise his booking just because he's a nice bloke, but I do think we should be grateful he's changed the business and got guys paid and given them a platform to grow and develop. I can't see a wrestling business where Cody becomes a huge star, Punk comes back and guys like Pillman Jr and Ethan Page actually get opportunities with WWE without AEW. The business is healthier with AEW in it.
