While speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Tony Khan talked about AEW’s move to simulcasting on Max. He stated that the move has been great, with fans loving the shows on Max.

Dynamite is still live on TBS every Wednesday, and Collision airs on TNT every Saturday night, but now both are also available to stream on Max. Khan said it took a lot of work to set up, but it’s been worth it because the shows look amazing, and fans are happy with the new options.

>“It’s been so great, it’s been fantastic. It’s been a technical achievement, and it’s been really fantastic quality. The show looks so great on Max, and the results have been fantastic. The fans love it. We’re still getting a great audience on TBS every week. You can watch the show both ways. We’re on TBS live every Wednesday night and streaming on Max. Then on Saturdays, we do TNT still every Saturday in primetime, and we also have the streaming component on Max. The shows look fantastic. It’s just been really great. It was an undertaking technically, but it’s definitely been worth it.”

AEW was also internally pleased with their overhaul in production for the recent episode of Dynamite. AEW’s deal with Warner Bros. Discovery and the Max streaming platform shows their focus on growing and adapting. By using streaming alongside traditional TV, AEW can connect with new audiences while keeping their loyal fans happy and clearly, this is what Tony Khan had intended from the very beginning.

We're hearing good things. People have been excited, which is great, and I'm just looking forward to this new era coming up. A lot of things to expect, which is obviously what we want.

Actually anon Warners sub 20$ is actually proof the dub is winning and TK0 being 30% over its IPO means it's a dead fed. Meltzer told me, it's simple math

Okay but how many people are watching on Max? Why aren't you or WBD saying anything about the numbers, Tony?
>>
he is talking about image quality
you are beyond pathetic pigwheels lmao
>>
>Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has a moderate probability of financial hardship in the next two years, with a distress probability of over 50%.
Explanation
Macroaxis uses the Warner Altman Z Score to calculate WBD's probability of distress. This score is adjusted to account for missing or unfiled public information, and off-balance-sheet items.
WBD has faced corporate controversies and has not been able to recover financially after a deal.
By the end of the third quarter of 2023, WBD's gross debt was $45.3 billion

The show also does not look great at all, the production is really bad.
Wish Tony would stop playing boss and go learn how to do something besides hiring people to spend money for him.
>>
>>16751160
kek at the guy tossing his dog into the water in the back
>>
>>16751012
You do know that they don't get all the rights deal on one lump sum, right? And you know that their costs don't vanish, right? They increased spending immediately and have been spending more and more.
>>
I signed up for Max when I heard it was a 4k feed. They really should advertise the video quality more. Its way better than my cable feed.
>>
>>16751642
Pretty sure AEW is not shot in 4k, also 4k is shit for most TV and movies anyway and any competent videographer will tell you 4k is garbage. It's only good for games and documentaries.
>>
>>16751652
it might just be an upscaled image but it 100% looks way better than the 720p feed that my cable company gives me
>>
>>16751204
I've never seen an episode of this show but all the girls are pretty
>>
>>16751666
Cable company feeds are compressed too, so it's a lossy 720p/1080i. If MAX is 1080p it's going to look incredible
>>
>>16751666
I always find that wrestling looks better in lower res because the realer the video is the less believable the wrestling tends to be. Especially when it's bad.
It's probably just 1080p, not 4k. Though it would be based if Tony had all his camera guys running around with black magic 4k cameras, might even be cheaper than his current setup.

I'm excited to watch AEW on MAX.
I don't have to pirate my shows since I haven't payed for cable in over 10 years.
Now I can give my viewing loyalty to AEW and stream all the shows available to increase hours watched for AEW. I have multiple TVs running all day with AEW programming playing at the shop.
It's a wonderful time to be a wrestling fan.
>>
>>16751010

TheOne never miss
>>
>>16750955
I'm sure. Fantastic ratings. The bigliest.
So uh...where are the numbers then? First Max stream was 2 weeks ago.
>>
>>16750955
Show me one single time Tiny hasn't described AEW as laughably overhyped. Ill wait
>>
>>16751730
the only rate they care about is workrate
>>
>>16750955
He'd release the numbers if it was actually good
>>
>>16752932
This is why ratings wars are going to be dead. WWE is on Netflix, AEW is simulcast, NXT and Smackdown are the only shows 100% on traditional cable/broadcast. Streaming companies don't have to release their numbers unless it serves their interest. There aren't going to be accurate ratings reports every single day like Nielsen anymore. No SambaTV ratings or Netflix press release about how many households watched RAW on Monday. No reports about AEW's streaming numbers. There isn't enough data released to make an accurate "skyplummet" thread now, just lots of speculation.

This isn't business success.
I'm starting to believe that Tony Khan is the most incompetent major wrestling promoter in the history of North America. This used to be Ann Gunkel but Tony is seriously giving her a run for her money.
