It being on Easter is the entire point of Vegas wanting it. Easter week is historically the lowest income for Vegas all year as people take a break from coke, gambling, and hookers to make Jesus happy.
Getting a big event will drive tourism and engagement

Paul wanted to avoid the NCAA Final Four and the Masters golf tournament so that's why it's so late this year. But he goofed by putting on Easter weekend. That's a big family holiday, even for bon Christians, so they'll be spending time with family instead of traveling to WM or viewing it live.

It's sorta ok with me. I like the idea of breaking my Lenten fast by eating a ton of chicken wings and drinking gallons of beer while I enjoy the greatest night of wrestling this year, but because of the way the schedule lined up I don't get to eat meat or drink anything alcoholic on Night One.
