You see his face. Sharp razor slit eyes etched onto a hulking creature’s giant head, which would give children across the galaxy vivid nightmares, stare into your soul. It produces no feeling of horror or fear, nor any other natural response, because you know him. Those eyes that are locked onto yours are dulled, empty, lifeless. The vacant glare causes your heart to wither in your chest. It was you, you did this, you killed your closest friend. A man who has saved your life, and you killed him. Now his face is slack, muscles relaxed, and his eyes are barren; all that vigour and life that he carried around with him is forever gone, never to return. It was your choice to kill him. Sith Lord Yvalok presented the options to you. During your months on Lao training as a Sith Acolyte you, Vulfstahn a child of the extinct Sith people, have shown a wild potency with the Force which is unequalled by your supposed peers. This rare talent caught Yvalok’s eyes and has him captivated with your development, wanting nothing more than to see you flourish. The ancient human decided to gift you hate through a choice: slay Urr’tal in a duel or watch as Yira gets gangraped. You gave the withered husk of a Human your answer. With a slash of your sword, you betrayed Urr’tal, ending all the myriad great possibilities he could have achieved in his prodigious lifespan. The Sith Lord that would be nothing but a frail old man if not for his mastery of the dark side of the Force stands above you as thick red ichor spews from the Whiphid’s severed neck. Forced onto the hard durasteel floor by a burst of lightning, you are enveloped by the growing pool of your friend’s blood. His decapitated head rests in front of you, not able to steal your eyes away from the lifeless face as his matted fur stains from his bleeding. Yvalok monologues and lectures, but you can’t hear him. The unblinking eyes have stolen your world.
>>6349241>why we killed himIt seems to me like "do you really think I could have killed a Sith Lord in a battle of Force powers?" will dispel that concern.
>>6349268His being mid ritual, and thus with his guard down is a shockingly common way for Sith Lords to meet their makers. So I think the next accusation would be "you struck him when he wasn't looking". Which you know, will be a point in our favour.
>>6349213See that's what worries me. Tyus, in the presence of that crystal, gave us a scroll on how to turn pain into healing... I'm just saying that there seems to have been a lot of agony involved in his death. That's a lot of coincidence for a possibly sentient sith artifact.
I guess we're not learning what was going to happen if we'd murdered Seyra?

You are the self-proclaimed KING of the WASTELAND. Ever since the great BIG BOOM in the far off year of 2007, the world has gotten pretty nasty–ruins and mutants litter the desert wasteland all around you, roving bands of warlord kings and factions in all sorts of endless wars. You never did much mind, though, as you kept to yourself in your reclusive “castle” (a pre-BIG BOOM convenience store) with your friend and roommate, DUKE NASU, watching one of your 24 copies of SUPERBAD (2007) and pumping iron–that is, at least, until a demolition company drove up to your front door. You found out your castle was apparently on land that fell under the titleship of a “GUN KING”, who sought to evict you and bulldoze it into the ground. You took ownership of the demolitionist’s wrecking ball and drove out to the GUN KING’S castle to confront him on the matter. You managed to infiltrate his castle whereupon you engaged in one-on-one combat with the king, PANZER GRAAD–however, defeating him only led to the appearance of another freak, the “MUTANT KING,” who kidnapped your dear friend DUKE NASU to bring him to its kingdom. You need to get him back.LAST THREAD: https://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/2021/5005718/

>GOLDFISH SCOOPING."Let's go with goldfish scooping." You decide. You're not altogether unfamiliar with the action of SCOOPING, as is common with you scooping WHEY PROTEIN into your canburger mixes. "Hey, nice. We've been looking to get rid of these nasty little buggers." COCHARM waves you over to a yellow PVC bucket set aside in the corner. You peer in to see some glittering green ooze, surface occasionally bubbling and parting to reveal a sliver of orange flesh."They're.. in this?" You glance back to COCHARM."Eyup. We eat whatever guests don't scoop up by the night--ooze gets 'em bigger. If you're worried about mutating that big ass hand of yours, just wrap it in some cling film or something." He nods to the bucket. "That said, this game ain't free to play. You said you'd be putting something to barter. You put something up and we'll match it in pay out if you scoop a goldfish. Plus the goldfish, to eat or throw at people or whatever. They're vicious little shits.">What do you put up as your stake?

You are Motoharu Hisanori, and today, April 3rd, marks the beginning of your high school life.
"Better how?" The guy asks."Um... I like the subtle sweetness. The fruity taste really evokes memories of summer, I think. Sorry, I'm not too big of an expert. Well, I told you already, haha..." You scratch your head, looking down apologetically."Zenji-kun, we might have struck a gold vein here," Sumi says, putting a hand to her chin, with a mischievous smirk."It's also important to express your thoughts clearly," Kodachi says, still serious, but with a somewhat more gentle look in her eyes. "You'd be a good member, I think. Want me to give you an application form?""Um... I'd like to know more about you guys before I decide," you say. "What... do you even really do? Just drink tea?""We also eat Japanese sweets that we purchase with part of our club budget," the guy replies."Don't listen to him, he just really likes sweets," Kodachi says. "The most important thing we do is participate in tea ceremonies. Admiring the calligraphy while drinking tea, contemplating philosophy, preparing tea in special ways... the ceremony is the heart of this club.""Don't listen to her!" Sumi says. "Don't get scared away by this, Motoharu-kun. It's really quite intuitive once you learn the basics." Kodachi rolls her eyes at Sumi's words, but says nothing. "Anyway, we taste various flavours! It's really a huge world of these out there! Ahh, sharing a taste of tea with someone - it's the best feeling!"Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

>>6347905“Your Highness?” You're snapped out of your bickering by Malcador’s worried tone. “Right, that… Honestly I didn't expect it to be so potent, really.” ‘Or for it to be a beacon at all’ “I'll have to make some adjustments to its specifications it seems.” It's probably fixable anyhow ‘I wouldn't count on it.’ You bemoan to yourself the unending interjections and decide on your next question to Malcador“Is that how you found me?” “Yes lord. I tried following the pulse immediately after it was fired, but I could only reach so far before being abruptly cut off. Your psychic defenses are formidable, If I hadn’t managed an Invitation from one of your commanders I would’ve never had reached you like I did.” So now the custodes need a psychic countermeasure, I still need to know how and what he did to get that. “And how did you manage to get one in such a short time?” “It was blackmail, lord. After having heard the soldiers complain about being “held back” and “wasting their potential” I surmised that you must have ordered them to not attack the villagers and civilian population, for which I am extremely grateful, and stipulated my help be conditional on our meeting. They obviously denied the first 2 times, but after the Empire’s assault on your forces they begrudgingly agreed to tell me where your base was.” ‘That never should’ve happened.’ Will you shut up for once! You glare at your ghost behind malcador.“Hmm… you’re quite the resourceful man, Malcador.” “Your words honor me, my Lord.” “But you must also have concerns, questions of your own as well right? Tell me.” Malcador stiffens at your question, looking around him as if to make sure you’re alone. Your ghost, still alert and judgemental, is no longer there.Once he’s sure he turns to you with a worried expression “Your Lordship, I don’t want to alarm you, but there may be a parasite or parasites feeding on your soul!” It starts slow, a little giggling that builds up into laughter which morph into full on cackling.Malcador looks on incredulously, together with the look of utter disappointment from your ghost beside him, as your sides are banished into the warp for what malcador just told you. You laugh like never before for several more minutes before your humor finally dies down. “Whew, I had no Idea I was needing that, thank you Malcador” “You’re… welcome, your majesty?” “But settle your concerns. No, I don’t believe I’m being parasitized, despite how he behaves himself with me.” “You have absolutely no right to judge me after this.” Malcador gets startled by the ghost physically manifesting beside him, the first time he does so to anyone other than yourself or anywhere outside your study.Comment too long. Howdy bros, I'm back. I wanted to continue RimQuest, but the combination of an artist shafting me, Rimworld 1.6 breaking all of my saves, life events, and depression have fucked that into the dirt. So instead here's something new. These are the dark years of the occupation. Gordon Freeman is still just a story passed between cells, squads, strangers, and couples. In this moment in time there's only you, a lone human working to resist the Combine occupation however you see fit and remain able. There will be an Uprising someday, this you're sure of, but the path there lies on the other side of lakes of blood and considerable effort on the part of unsung warriors like you.It had felt like days since you last saw the sun back outside the outskirts of City 11. The awful stench of the sewers and cisterns which meandered under the streets of what used to be Berlin forced you to find something to plug your nose with almost immediately upon beginning your infiltration. Deep regret at leaving the accommodations, spartan as they were, of the Resistance base north of the city had massaged your mind, but failed to slow your occasionally-soggy step through the barely-lit darkness. All this had a purpose, you reminded yourself. In the newspeak of the Combine you are an Anticitizen, a Malignant, the malformed cell that starts the cancer, the one that sets the spark which will light the torch of humanity's liberation. Or, in more plain terms, the crazy fucker that volunteers to go back into the Cities in order to bring contraband in, people out, and start up new resistance cells along the way. If there were some omniscient statistician in the sky, he could have given you odds of survival that would have seen you sit your ass back down in Finow when they called for somebody to replace Parks's sector after his presumed loss, but all the same, it needed to get done. The whole goddamned species was at stake, with a biological time limit that edged closer to expiration every year and a planet slowly being strangled of its life. If this generation didn't stop them, there would be no other. Never in human history had there been as existential and desperate a struggle as the one you now trudged through obscure German shit-tunnels to wage.It had only been half a day since you entered the sewer system when you reached your target. A junction in the tunnels marked by a chalk marker and a lone, white coffee mug. The route into this part of the city was prepared beforehand by a two-man reconnaissance team, people with equipment and experience too valuable for you to know or to be risked with the next, most dangerous part of City infiltration. You were briefed that they left you a red bag full of necessaries to help you along on your mission from here, hidden in a storeroom near the marker.

You are Marnie, a girl living in the Ark known as the Digital World. For all your life, you've endured a dreary existence in City 87-O, haplessly railing against a skin-deep system that denies you all but the most meaningless human experiences. You've spent years beholding the shining tower in the center of the city, and watched its guardian Digimon circle it endlessly, protecting the portal that leads out of this sunless landscape. Throughout your youth, you never thought you'd actually be able to make your dream a reality. But things have begun to change over the past few months.A chance meeting with a Digimon has plunged you into a hidden world of wonders, filled with wild Digimon, enigmatic Code Crackers, mysterious server partitions that reveal the City's inner workings to you, and underground organizations seeking to bring change to this world. Amidst this danger is the authenticity you've so dearly craved, and you've never been happier. Right now, you're in the middle of a mission to take down your Digimon Nemesis. You and your partner, Phascomon, have broken into the lair of DarkTyrannomon, who has taken over an entire Job District. You've made it past his lieutenants and minions and are mere steps away from facing down your foe one last time and putting an end to his danger. Once that's done, you plan to climb The Tower, defeat its guardian, and finally claim your freedom. The real world awaits.== Thread 1:https://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/2025/6216903/Thread 2:https://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/2025/6254189Comment too long. This is but one of the legends of which the people speak...Long ago, there existed a kingdom where a golden power lay hidden. It was a prosperous land blessed with green forests, tall mountains, and peace. But one day, a man of great evil found the golden power and took it for himself. With its strength at his command, he spread darkness across the kingdom. But then, when all hope had died, and the hour of doom seemed at hand......a young boy clothed in green appeared as if from nowhere. Wielding the blade of evil's bane, he sealed the dark one away and gave the land light. What became of the hero is lost to myth, another mystery of the past casting a long shadow. In one village, it is customary that when children come of age, they make a pilgrimage to the nearby ruins, and bring back an artifact. In doing so, they bring what was left in the dark to the light, and keep their history alive. You are from that village, and today you turn 18, and must make your own pilgrimage. Your father was an archeologist at Hyrule University, and now that it is your day to recover an artifact, you are determined to follow in his footsteps with your diligence. But shadows hang over more than the past, now. A ruthless warlord has rallied an army, and has laid siege to Hyrule castle for nearly a year, seeking to claim the golden power. Darkness gathers across the kingdom, and shadows stretch ever farther each passing day... Welcome to LOZ: Umbral Tower, where you will play an unlikely hero destined to save the kingdom from a neverending shadow. In this game you will roll pools of D6s based on your stats, which will improve over time, against competing pools of D6s, where 5's and 6's are considered successes. Ties normally go to the aggressor, not the defender. I may tweak this as we go. Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

However, to your incredible satisfaction, the Holy Sword itself, the only weapon capable of striking you down, lies corroded beneath the hero’s tattered frame, little more than a sparkly pile of smoldering slag.Yes, your ultimate victory has been achie–Pain unlike any you’d ever imagined stabs through your very being, a thin, needle-like blade jutting out from the cluster of mana animating your undead body, destabilizing it, causing your very being to quiver and weaken. Something is wrong— something is very, very wrong. . You collapse to the floor, your head snapping 180 degrees back to see just who had landed the killing blow. If your eyes could widen, they would: the Hero Michael, who you had thought collapsed in front of you, stands proudly behind you with an unknown blade in your back.“H-how?”“Lich King Atrebor,” the hero declares, his obnoxious condescension shamelessly leaking into his words as he drives the blade even further through your ribs, “you may have been wary of me, the possessor of the Holy Sword, but you paid far too little attention to my real strength: my friends.”You turn your eyes back to the party: an illusion, a paltry trick, dissolves from the worthless entourage of the chosen one, revealing a golem in place of his second in command and that same eternal loser, Reinlock, in his place.“Impossible!” you roar, “I was certain! He– he had the holy sword! He acted just as you would!”Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

I’m really glad that you guys are enjoying the quest (even if the notion of my 3 am typos getting read aloud is a little embarrassing), and the feedback is super appreciated. Also, to make up for my previous neglect to allow a Press Your Luck, I’ll be providing one COMPENSATION SUCCESS, to be used on any roll if voted on by the majority.>Explore the town outsideUsing a special temporary issue passport received from the Duke, you exit the central fortification, reemerging into the bustling city behind the second wall. It's the middle of the day, with a number of the working men either out on the fields or braving the dangers of the northern wastes. As you see almost exclusively women, children, and the elderly, you’re reminded of the fact that this is humanity's last line of defense, not some ordinary castle town.Still, the day markets are open, and the shops have their keepers. You stroll around, more to see the sights than proceed towards any specific objective. The Immortal King Atrebor, a tourist— that's certainly a new one. Your contemplation is broken as your eyes are drawn to a towering centerpiece, a great statue of black granite standing in the center of the plaza, a knight with a stalwart expression and a single arm. It's Reinlock, the man who pulled off the trick that ended your undead reign. While the features are quite accurate (and, to your pleasant surprise, your curse must have irreparably rotted away at the bastard’s arm) the expression is completely unbefitting of that crass, vulgar man.Still, despite your initial contempt, something about seeing his face here is… nostalgic. >>6349745You frown— you have noticed that, over the course of your time as the Immortal King. Rather than a specific enemy, you eventually became something representing the embodiment of evil itself in the popular eye.“I have a library,” the old woman continues, “Perhaps it might do you some good to check out a book.”“I already find myself quite acquainted with historical matters.”“Yes, well, perhaps,” she pauses, seemingly considering her words before proceeding with a mischievous smile, “but I am of the firm belief that secondary perspectives are a valuable thing. Besides, young lady, how much can you claim to have seen, cooped up alone for so long?”“...I think myself quite accomplished for my age.”The lady chuckles, “Yes, I suppose you are.” She turns to leave, vanishing with notable celerity despite the slowness of her small gait. A faint aroma touches your nose, a refreshing saltiness that feels just familiar enough to itch at your brain without being close enough to truly recall.>Head to the market to buy materials>See if there are any enchanters worth visitingComment too long.
