After a false feud with your friend Lottatax, the telepathic trickery sent you sneaking aboard a balloon bound for Copper Citadel and the human-type mon Ward, but when the pilot's mon Skowl discovered you, you discovered the pilot Ben was your friend Starr's father! Landing in Copper Citadel, Ward was reluctant to rescue humans until a roundup by the Copper Citadel Mon Control required retreat!Back in Bronze Valley, you heard another human-type mon would be fighting in the arena that night, and the thought of your friend Auroara drove Ward to disclose that Professor Ginger was searching for such a first-generation mon from the age of the ancient humans! Ward's Evade ability made an easy entrance in time to see Auroara challenged by Chompex, and with the human crowd occupied, you made your way to the mon pens! Your human friends proved to be another mental manipulation, and Ward and Lottatax faced Horriborb and Rattletrap while you made sure Catscan was feeling down in the dump! Overhearing the arena's owner Diamond's plan to pit Auroara against Joe's first captured mon, the sizeable Sailater, you trailed Catscan's trainer Trent back to the mon pens for a shocking showdown and sprang your mon friends!Reunited with Ramster and Tamounda, your entrance into the staging area accidentally allowed sour-tempered Sailater to escape! The massive mon freed your captive human friends, but your own escape from the arena ended when Sailater separated the arena grounds with a huge chasm! Desperate to damage the Vitium, you surrendered the cutécaptor to Joe and unlocked your Overbite and Hair Pin attacks, but found yourself fixated on Joe!Seeking answers, you returned to Copper Citadel and the super-smart Springblok, and learned Springblok was Ward's secret savior! A long walk with Joe took a turn for the worse when Professor Plumtree arrived and sent his mechanical mon Onlion to retrieve the cutécaptor from Joe! The beam of light pulls you up into the alien balloon and you see all your friends being carried along the beam up a huge tunnel! You try to look down but you can't even move your head! All you can do is look at Joe above you being pulled up by the cutécaptor in his jacket pocket!What? Joe is trying to open his jacket pocket? He opens his pocket and slips down away from the cutécaptor but then grabs it with one hand and suddenly you realize you're inside the cutécaptor!Now that you're inside the cutécaptor, you can tell Joe has an idea! It seems like his plan involves capturing you with the cutécaptor and then releasing you again!You look down and realize you're outside the cutécaptor again on the wall of the tunnel! You aren't caught in the beam of light anymore!What? You just realized you're standing on the wall of the tunnel? You don't know how, but you're standing on the wall without falling off! You look around and start to get dizzy!When you look up at Joe he drops down in front of you and watches the cutécaptor float along the beam of light after your mon friends and then looks at you. "Are you alright?"You're nodding your head! It seems like Joe really does care about you a lot! Joe looks back at the cutécaptor as it disappears into the light and then grins at you. "I didn't know if that would work either." Joe looks up and looks around at the tunnel walls and says "I can't believe we're really inside an alien spaceship!"When you look at the glowing light at the end of the tunnel you can't see any of your friends!You look up at Joe and he looks at you and says "Don't worry. I'm sure they're not, um- we'll find them and then we'll get out of here." Joe looks around again for a moment. "Somehow."You and Joe look at the glowing light at the end of the tunnel for a moment and then Joe looks around and says "Maybe there's another way we can get out of here. This metal looks pretty old. There might be a hole someplace." Joe holds your hand and-What? Joe is holding your hand? Even though you're trapped in an alien spaceship you can't help your cheeks turning red!You and Joe walk back up the tunnel for a moment but then Joe lets go of your hand so he can climb over one of the big ridges. Joe reaches up to the top of the ridge and starts to pull himself up but then he stops and looks at the ridge and then looks at you and lets go of the ridge!What? Joe isn't falling down? You don't know how, but it seems like Joe is stuck to the side of the ridge! He looks down at you and says "I think gravity works differently in this place." Joe crawls up the big ridge to the top and...What? Joe is just standing on top of the big ridge staring forward?
You climb up after Joe and peek over the top of the big ridge and see the bottom of the huge tunnel is still open! You can see the whole world below you getting smaller and smaller!What? You just realized the alien spaceship really is flying away from your world? You look around and get dizzy again and crouch down behind the big ridge!"Look!" Joe can't believe it!When you peek back over the big ridge you see lots of other alien spaceships floating above your world! You crouch back down out of sight but then you peek back up and look around at them again. It doesn't look like any of them are flashing!When you look up at Joe he looks back at the bottom of the huge tunnel again. "I think it's safe." Joe looks at you as you climb up and then he looks back again. It seems like Joe can't help looking at your world! "I think there's no air where we are, so there must be some kind of force field keeping the air in." He glances at you and looks at the bottom of the huge tunnel and says "We should probably be careful just in case. Come on, let's find everyone else so we can get out of here."What? Joe is climbing over the big ridge toward the hole at the bottom of the huge tunnel to look for your friends? It seems like Joe really is brave! You climb down after him and keep walking down the huge tunnel and see a big ridge ahead of you that looks like it has a hole in it!When you get closer Joe reaches his hand inside and waves it up and down and then peeks inside and looks around and then looks out at you. "This looks like it's hollow. Might as well see where it goes, right?" Joe turns back around and starts crawling inside!You look around at the huge tunnel and then crawl inside behind Joe!
You keep crawling behind Joe and after a while you start to see a light in front of you! Joe stops and looks back at you and whispers "Let's take a look." You and Joe crawl forward toward the light as quietly as you can and peek out and see a room with a round opening in the wall!"Ram-ram!"What? Ramster is here? You look around and realize Ramster's voice is coming from the other side of the round opening in the wall! You're so happy you can hardly contain yourself! You look at Joe and he grins but then suddenly Joe stops grinning!What? Joe is looking at something? You turn your head and look around the room and see a dark blobby shape slither out of the shadows across the ceiling!It's an alien-type mon! It looks like the same kind of alien-type mon you fought in the underground hallway where you fought the Vitium!The alien-type mon slithers closer and then stops and glances around and then slithers away again. It seems like it didn't notice you!What? You crouch back down and a moment later the alien-type mon slithers past you from another direction! You hold your breath until it slithers past you out of sight again and then you peek out and then look at Joe!It seems like you'll have to be very careful not to get caught! You and Joe peek out again and then you both crouch back down and you look at Joe and whisper."Wait here, Joe!"Joe looks around and nods and whispers "Alright, but be careful." He peeks out again and then hides just as the alien-type mon slithers by! You and Joe both hold your breath until it slithers away again and then you crouch down and crawl out of the hole and hurry toward the opening in the wall as quickly as you can![SFX: slithering noise]It sounds like the alien-type mon is coming back! You crawl even faster and then jump toward the opening just in time! When you peek out from around the edge of the opening, you see the alien-type mon slither past you and glance around and then slither away again!"Ram-ram!"You turn around and see Ramster and Auroara floating above holes in the floor in front of you! It looks like Auroara is sleeping upside-down! You look back at Ramster and reach out and grab Ramster and...What? Something is stopping you from grabbing Ramster? When you look down you see a strange light surrounding the hole in the floor! It seems like you can't put your hands through the strange light, no matter how hard you try!What? You think this must be one of the force fields Joe was talking about? You're probably right!You look around and see another round opening on the other side of the room. It looks like you and Ramster and Auroara are the only ones in here!Ramster kicks his back legs to turn and face you while he's floating and then points across the room at the other round opening in the wall and says "Ram-ram!" When you look across the room you see a pink glow coming from the round opening!What? You think the pink glow looks like the glow from the cutécaptor? You look back at Ramster and-[SFX: slithering noise]Suddenly the alien-type mon peeks into the room! You crouch down behind Auroara as quickly as you can, even though it's not a very good hiding spot!The alien-type mon glances around and slithers into the room toward you!Look out!
"Ram-ram!"What? Ramster is shouting at the alien-type mon? When the alien-type mon glances back at him, Ramster kicks his back legs and shakes his fist and says "Ram-ram! Ram-ram!"The alien-type mon turns its head and slithers back across the room toward Ramster!Ramster punches the air in front of him with both paws and says "Ram-ram! Ram-ram!"The alien-type mon glares at Ramster and then glances around the room again and slithers back out through the round opening in the wall!It seems like it didn't see you! As soon as the alien-type mon disappears, Ramster looks over his shoulder at you and gestures toward the round opening in the wall on the other side of the room!You wait a moment and then stand up from behind Auroara and tip-toe across the room and crawl up the wall and peek over the edge of the round opening.Inside you see two alien-type mons looking away from you through a window at the cutécaptor floating in another room!What? You think it seems like the cutécaptor is glowing more brightly than normal? It looks like the alien-type mons might be trying to turn it on! The alien-type mons glance at each other and then look back through the window.It seems like they're really interested in the cutécaptor!When you look around the room you see some controls on the wall behind the alien-type mons. What? You think the controls in this room look like they might be important? You reach out through the round opening and slowly put your hand down on the other side and then start to crawl through the opening and into the room! As soon as you look up, they turn and slither across the floor toward you!You jump up and start pushing all the controls!...It doesn't seem like anything is happening! "Um..." When you look at Joe, he glances at you and takes the cutécaptor and puts it in his jacket pocket and then looks at Auroara. "Do you know what's going on?""I don't remember anything after being taken up.""You were sleeping!"When Auroara looks at you, you nod and look at Ramster and he looks up at Auroara and nods and says "Ram-ram!"Auroara glances at Joe. "Prima and the others?""Almost all the mons got captured. Even Pakitt and Onlion. The only one they didn't take was Sailater.""Yet they took you." The Auraprima is upside-down and sleeping just like Auroara was when you found her!Suddenly you see a big slimy shape with glowing green eyes slither out of the shadows! It looks like a different kind of alien-type mon!Tamounda kicks his legs and tries to run away and says "Tamounda!" as the alien-type mon slithers closer to him! Tamounda looks like he's really afraid of it!You can't help crying out!"Tamounda!"Tamounda looks across the room at you and says "Tamounda!"The alien-type mon whips its head around and glares at you and your friends and then slithers toward Auroara!What? Tamounda and the Auraprima just fell out of the air? It looks like the force fields are gone! I've been trying to monitor things up there since... well, anyway, the good news is, you seem to have stopped moving and you're still above the planet."Joe looks at Pakitt. "What's the bad news?""Um, the spacecraft seems to be preparing to leave to go back to the alien homeworld."You don't think you want to go there!Professor Bean says "Pakitt can lead you to the main controls. When you get to Tamounda you have to stop and lie against him until you have enough energy to move, and then you start to drag Auroara inside the piece of spaceship.When you get Auroara inside you lie down for a moment and then crawl back outside and grab Tamounda's foot and start dragging him inside the spaceship....It seems like you fell asleep! You look around and see Auroara and Tamounda where you left them! It seems like you have a little more energy now. You stand up and look around and see Pakitt in the corner of the room but when you get closer you see it isn't moving either. You carry Pakitt back toward your other friends and then sit down for a moment....You're falling asleep again! Wake up! You look around and notice a round opening in the wall and peek over the edge and see Lottatax and both of the Auraprimas lying on the floor in an open room with snow falling on them! You put Lottatax in your jacket with Ramster and carry the Auraprimas one at a time back to your other friends and then sit down for a moment.What? You just realized you don't know where Joe or Onlion are? You stand up and walk outside and see some really big footprints leading away from the spaceship! It seems like you won't be able to see them for very long because the snow is blowing so much!What? It seems like the really big footprints are starting to get harder to see! If you're going to follow them, you had better do it right away! You look back at the piece of the alien spaceship and then look down and start following the really big footprints into the snow! You walk for a few moments and when you look back, you can't see the alien spaceship at all, even though you've only walked a little bit! All you can see is snow blowing around in the nighttime sky! You have to put your hand up over your face because the snow is blowing so much!When you look back down at the really big footprints, you can hardly see them! You run forward and fall down in the deep snow and climb back up to your feet and start stumbling forward through the snow following the footprints.What? You think the snow is getting even deeper? You have to stop and rest for a moment because it's so hard to push your way through the snow! You crouch down and rest for a moment and then stand up and start pushing your way through the snow again. You have to climb a little bit because it's so deep here!What? You just realized you don't see any really big footprints anymore? It looks like they disappeared because of all the blowing snow! You look around but you can't see anything except snow and darkness. It seems like he's thinking about something! He nods his head and stands up out of his chair opens a drawer and says "I understand. If you're that insistent on going outside in this storm, take this winter hat instead of your baseball cap." He reaches into the drawer and pulls out a floppy hat and holds it out to you.What? Professor Holly is giving you a different hat to wear? It looks really warm and comfortable! You look at the other hat and then look up at Professor Holly and reach up and touch your baseball cap. Professor Holly nods and says "I can keep your hat here until you come back for your other friends." It seems like the enormous Chompex might be able to help you get back through the hole!What? You're really thinking about trying to get its attention, even though it's so big? You climb back up on top of one of the weird trees and wave your arms back and forth!"Hey!"Suddenly the enormous Chompex stops and sniffs the air and then slowly tilts its head down until it's looking in your direction and says "CHOMPEXTRA!"...Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all!Chompextra is challenging Cutémon!Chompextra attacks with Ultrabite!Cutémon dodges out of the way!Cutémon is fleeing the fight!Chompextra lunges his enormous head down and you jump out of the way just as he bites the weird tree you were standing on and swallows it whole! Chompextra stomps past and doesn't notice you because the big mushroom is in the way! You peek out from under the edge of the big mushroom and see Chompextra looking around but then he looks down toward you and you hide again!Chompextra says "CHOMPEXTRA!" and then he keeps walking past you further into the cave! After a few moments you can't hear him walking anymore and then you feel the big mushroom let go of you!You turn around and...What? You just noticed the big mushroom is really a human woman with a big mushroom on her head? The human woman says "You're not from around here!" and looks away toward the direction Chompextra went for a moment and then looks at you and says "I can't believe you tried to get Chompextra to notice you!" Suba walks toward one of the weird trees and through an opening in the trunk and inside you see it's lit with chunks of the glowing ceiling crystals! You and Suba walk up some stairs and then you see a big room with a bunch of humans inside talking to each other. When the humans notice Suba walk in they stop talking and turn toward the two of you!"Suba, what..." Suddenly the human man wearing beads stops talking and looks at you! "Who's this?""Yara, this is Cutémon!" Suba turns and sees you're still wearing your winter hat and says "Show them, Cutémon!"All the humans are looking at you! When you and Suba walk into the opening, you can see a little human girl with blue hair and pink horns sleeping in a strange chair!What? You think she might really be a human-type mon and not a little human girl? I think you might be right!What? You just noticed the chair she's sleeping on looks a lot like the chair Auroara was sitting on when you first met her? When you say it, Yara looks at you and you point at the indent where it seems like an accretion slab should be and then Yara nods and says "Yesterday, some slimy black creatures with tentacles we had never seen before invaded Kroma-La. We managed to drive them off, but they stole the sacred crystal from the sleeping goddess."What? Yara is saying the accretion slab was stolen by slimy black creatures with tentacles? It seems like Yara might be talking about alien-type mons!When you look back up at Yara he nods at the strange little girl and says "Ever since then, the goddess's sleep has been fitful." You look down at the strange little girl and suddenly she frowns and turns her head and whimpers! The alien-type mon keeps slithering through the forest of weird trees but then it slithers out of sight!You look around and look up at Suba and then sneak forward and peek out and see the alien-type mon slithering away from you again! The alien-type mon keeps slithering forward as you and Suba tip-toe after it. Suddenly it stops and you and Suba crouch down behind one of the weird trees just as the alien-type mon looks backward, but then it starts slithering forward again! You wait a moment and then peek out and start following it further into the forest of weird trees.What? The weird trees are getting even more crowded here? The alien-type mon slithers up one of the weird trees and over the top and then you can't see it anymore! It looks like you and Suba will have to climb over the tops of the weird trees to follow it!When you climb up onto the top of the weird tree you see the alien-type mon slither down out of sight further ahead of you on the far side of a clump of weird trees! It seems like you're doing a really good job following it! You reach down and grab Suba's hand and help her up onto the top of the weird tree and then crawl across them.
After you get to the other side of the clump of weird trees, you see the...What? You don't see the alien-type mon at all, even though it was just in front of you? Well, it's probably somewhere close, since you've been following it all this way! You look around again and then lean over the edge of the weird tree and see a big glowing hole in the cavern floor![SFX: log creaking]Suddenly the weird tree starts to tip over and you and Suba slide toward the edge! You climb all the way down to the floor and look around and see a river of lava flowing down from the ceiling and across the other side of the cave!What? You just realized they're called the ash caves because there's a lot of lava and fire everywhere? It seems like this is a pretty dangerous place! You look up at Suba."Where's the spaceship?""The what? Oh, you mean where the slimy black creatures are?" Suba looks around and then looks back at you. "Well... to tell you the truth, I've never been to the ash caves before."It seems like you and Suba will have to find the alien-type mons so you can help that strange little girl! You look around and see a tunnel and point at it."Over there!""Looks good to me." Suba glances at Rumbletrap's tail and says "And it looks like it's too small for Rumbletrap to fit through if it wakes up."You and Suba start walking through the tunnel and it gets so dark you can't see anything. It seems like they really are friends! Yara nods and you follow him into the cave with the strange little girl and he puts the accretion slab back on the strange chair. When it clicks into place, the strange little girl stops frowning and turns her head the other direction....What? You thought the strange little girl might wake up? So did I! Dipoelagus is saying the strange little girl might have to stay asleep?"Can you help?"Dipoelagus turns itself to face you. "I DON'T THINK I CAN REPAIR IT.""Excuse me, Cutémon?" When you look over your shoulder you see Yara standing in the cave entrance and... What? You just realized you can hear a lot of voices outside the cave? Yara looks at you and says "We're holding a feast to celebrate the sacred crystal being returned to the sleeping goddess. We'd like you to join us as our guest of honor."What? Yara is saying the humans are going to serve a feast because of what you and your friends did? You look at Yara and nod your head!"Thank you, Yara!"Yara looks away and shouts "The Cutémon will join us!" and then you hear all the voices cheering! It seems like all the humans are happy you're going to stay with them for a little while!That evening, all the humans in Kroma-La gather in the center of the village and start setting out long tables full of plates of food and then Suba leads you over to one of the tables where Yara is sitting and you sit down between them!Your stomach is rumbling because you're so hungry! You eat and eat and then after you're finally full, Yara looks at you and points across the table where you see a bunch of girls with ribbons in their hair! You look back at Yara and he smiles and says "Cutémon, in honor of what you've done for us, we'd like to present you with this song of appreciation."What? The humans are going to give you a song? You've never had a song of your own before!"Cutémon, you came from the skies! You're the second Rori, you have lots of eyes! The sacred crystal is safe and sound, back in its home underground! We'll sing and dance until the dawn, all thanks to you, the Cutémon!"After you and the humans are finished eating, they move a few of the tables away and then some of the humans start playing musical instruments while other humans are singing and dancing!Suddenly, Suba grabs your hand and says "Come on, Cutémon! Come dance with us!"...What? You just realized you've never danced before? You're not sure what to do, but it seems like it's not too hard! You look at Suba and then try to do what she does!Suba laughs and claps her hands and says "That's it, Cutémon!"You can't help smiling! It seems like dancing really is a lot of fun! You look around at all the humans laughing and smiling at you and...What? You just noticed Dipoelagus isn't here?
For some reason, Dipoelagus is sitting by itself at the edge of the light far away from everyone else! When you notice, you stop dancing and walk away from the crowd of humans toward Dipoelagus."What's wrong, Dipoelagus?"For a moment Dipoelagus doesn't do anything but then it turns itself to look at you and says "THIS MIGHT BE HARD FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND. I THINK WE'RE UNDERNEATH THE PLACE THAT USED TO BE CALLED TOWER EIGHT. THE PROFESSOR WHO ONCE LIVED HERE WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME."Dipoelagus turns and looks away out into the darkness beyond Kroma-La. It's hard to tell what Dipoelagus is thinking because its face doesn't move, but it seems like it's thinking about something! After a few moments it says "THIS PLACE BELONGS TO THESE HUMANS NOW. I DON'T BELONG HERE."It seems like Dipoelagus is really sad! You don't know what to do!What? You just remembered Professor Holly didn't seem to have any mon friends? Do you think he might like to meet Dipoelagus?"Yeah!""PARDON?" You didn't mean to say that out loud but Dipoelagus is looking at you! "DID YOU SAY SOMETHING?""Professor Holly!""A PROFESSOR? IS THIS PROFESSOR HOLLY NEARBY?"You nod your head and point up at the cave ceiling!"The sky world!"Dipoelagus tilts its face upward toward the cave ceiling and then turns to face you and says "YOU'RE GOING BACK TO THE SURFACE, AREN'T YOU? I CAN'T CLIMB UP THE SIDE OF THAT ALIEN SPACESHIP."What? You just remembered Yara told you there was another way to get back to the sky world somewhere past the ash caves? "There's another way!""ANOTHER WAY TO THE SURFACE?" Dipoelagus looks up again and then looks at you. "IN THAT CASE, WOULD YOU ALLOW ME TO ACCOMPANY YOU?"What? Dipoelagus is asking if it can come with you back to the surface? You're nodding your head!"THAT'S VERY KIND OF YOU. I'D LIKE TO MEET THIS PROFESSOR HOLLY."You can't be sure, but it seems like Dipoelagus isn't as sad anymore! Can you think of anything else you can do to make it happy?"Come join us!"Dipoelagus turns to look at you and then turns all the way and follows you back to the dancing humans!"HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU'RE A VERY UNUSUAL MON?"
