Welcome to Lingdom Quest, a cute and comfy slice-of-life quest about exploring the Lingdom, a kingdom of pygmies!

You are Rika, a 15-year-old Ling on a journey with your cousin Kari, friends Bubu and Puki, and fox friend Moochy. You are on your Youthful Journey, a custom among your people where you leave your home to travel across the Lingdom to visit relatives and friends in other villages to help out and learn new skills. The function of the Youthful Journey is also to reconnect you with your wider family.

>What are Lings?
Pygmy humans with large, round ears who live in the Lingdom, a kingdom separated from the rest of the world and under the protection of the Emperor. The Emperor is known as a "Tallie", a human of normal height and normal-shaped and sized ears. Among your people are also "Halfies", individuals with both Ling and Tallie blood who appear like Lings in their childhood but enter a rapid growth spurt in their young adulthood (and revert to Ling size in their elder years.)

>Where do Lings come from?
Lings claim to have been hosted by the Great Turtle where they learned to be good guests. Much of their core values come from their time being the Great Turtle's guests;
>To be neat, tidy, and clean after themselves.
>To eat sparingly so as to not overburden their hosts.
>To reciprocate gifts so as to share Memories.

>Memories
Memories are something of a religious and spiritual concept for Lings. They represent literal memories that an individual holds but also their relationships and binds them all as one people, not only throughout the land but also through time. Ways Lings share their Memories:
>Offering gifts.
>Doing activities together.
>Telling stories.

>Guest-Host Relationship
Lings behave themselves in accordance with the guest-host relationship as they learned from the Great Turtle. A Host must be benevolent and gracious to their guests, and a guest must be respectful and considerate to their hosts. This relationship is also attributed to their understanding of agriculture and politics. The land they cultivate is considered their host, but the crops raised from it their guests. The Emperor is a sacred individual who is their guest in their home, but their Host in His Empire.

Lings are known for a variety of cute habits and behaviors. Here's some of them:
>They don't have chairs, preferring to squat or sit on the ground.
>Their cuisine largely consists of hand-held foods, wrapping their meals in either tortillas or leaves.
>The only meat they eat are seafood and bugs.
>They prefer sleeping in hammocks over beds.
>They consider leaving things on the floor dirty so most of their possessions are hung on the walls or ceilings (like their hammocks)

The Bravies invited Bubu to spend the night with the boys and while you and your other friends might have wanted to join, you realized that Bubu doesn't have many guy friends... In fact, you recall that while growing up, Bubu's only friends might have been just you and Kari! Have you just been dragging him along wherever you went, being a bossy girl to your boy buddy? Maybe, maybe not, though it might have made you consider inviting a boy to accompany you and your friends so Bubu had someone to dude around with. What do boys even do anyway??

"Let's let Bubu have fun with the boys, hnn?" you suggested.

"Aww... Fine! But you have to share the cool stories they tell you, Bubu!" said Puki.

"And you have to tell us more about your Popappy!!" said Kari.

"Okay," said Bubu, while blankly staring and walking away with the guys.

You turned back to your friends and walked to the village to find a place to hang your hammocks with Moochy tagging along. A baba invited you into her house where she had a meal prepared.

"Come, come!! Thank you for helping Our Halfies at work!!" said Baba. While eating, a Little One sitting across from you was staring at you the whole time. She was introduced as your Em Muna and although Em Muna looked curious and timid, it wasn't the same as Bubu's dumb look he has when he's just confused.

"Umm... is there something wrong, Em Muna?" you asked.

After being acknowledged, she looked embarrassed but quickly regained her composure. "Why does Chi Rika keep following Anh Bubu?? How does Chi Rika keep Anh Bubu looking at you??"

Kari spat out her food while Puki rolled back to laugh.

"Gahahaha! She's right, she's right, you have a hard time leaving Bubu alone!!" said Puki.

"Waah! I knew it, I knew it!" said Kari. "I remember seeing Rika and Bubu come back late at night back in Deep Waters!!"

"Em Muna, what makes you think Anh Bubu is always looking my way?" you asked.

"Chi Rika, my best friend is a boy but he doesn't play with me much anymore," said Em Muna. "I think I'm annoying him because I keep trying to follow him to play... But when I saw you today, you were pulling Anh Bubu by the hand and when the Bravies invited Anh Bubu to labor you sang even louder than him! And tonight when you decided to let Anh Bubu spend the night with the Bravies, he stared at you while you came here. How do you do that??"
>>
How embarrassing! Maybe you thought you were being more subtle, but it looks like everybody already knows what's going on... But Em Muna needs your advice! What will you suggest?
>Suggest Em Muna give her best friend some space, even if it might make her feel lonely. She should also strengthen her friendships with other friends she has!
>Maybe Em Muna's friend is only annoyed because she only wants to be around him and not actually enjoy playing the same games as him?
>Em Muna should make her friend jealous! Tomorrow, they'll have so much fun together HE HAS TO WANT TO JOIN!

It's implied she already plays with him, and we don't want to encourage toxic behavior. This is an important life lesson to learn at an early age.

Hello, thank you for wondering. I know I usually give a heads up when I disappear for a while, I didn't intend to take that long of a break, but oh well.
>>
"What games does Em Muna play with her friend?" you asked.

"I like to play Tea Host the most, but Dadu doesn't seem to have fun playing that..." said Muna. "But I really like playing with him, so I want to play what he likes playing!"

"Are you having fun playing the games he likes to play?"

"N-no... I don't really get it, Dadu and the boys like to... ummm..." Em Muna paused and looked over her shoulder to make sure her baba was distracted. "Swing sticks.."

What naughty Little Ones, playing naughty games!

"Dadu and the boys like to pretend they're heroes, last week they pretended to fight big bugs and I tried to play but it sounded too scary..." said Em Muna. Ever since the Bravies came, Dadu and the boys have been pretending to be Bravies and they won't let me play with them anymore because I'm a girl..."

"How old are you, Em Muna? Are you 10 years old?" you asked.

"Yes, Chi Rika, how did you know??" said Em Muna.

"Em Muna, I was that young when boys and girls started playing different games. I also like Tea Host, actually most boys I grew up with kept playing run and hide for another year instead..."

"Oh... are boys and girls supposed to play different games?" asked Em Muna.

"No!! Chi Kari liked playing with boys more than girls, but I'm a girl!" said Kari.

"Mhm! Sometimes I also like to play boy games, but it's important for you to enjoy it and not force yourself!" you said.

"I wonder if Bubu even had fun playing with you growing up..." said Puki.

"Yes he did!!" said Kari. "If Anh Bubu didn't like playing with us, then why would he keep walking to our house, hnn??"

"Chi Kari, do you still play boy games?? Can you teach me??" asked Em Muna.

"Hoho... tomorrow let's go play with Em Dadu together and I'll show you how to have fun!" said Kari.

You ended the night crawling into your hammock. Em Muna and Kari continued to talk for quite some time, coming up with names Muna could have. They couldn't decide between Host of Sorrows and Tree Tender Mana.

The following morning, you were woken up by Bubu. Despite his sleepover with the Bravies, he still didn't forget his promise to always wake you up.

"See, Chi Rika, see??" said Em Muna. "Anh Bubu is always following you!!"

"The Anh Bravies all woke up early so they wouldn't be late returning to their labors." said Bubu.

You had breakfast with Em Muna's family, everybody wanted to listen to Bubu share about his night with the boys.

"The Anh Bravies wanted to listen to what I knew about my Popappies because they are well-remembered in the Bravie Legion," said Bubu. "I was sad because I didn't know much about my Popappies... so the Anh Bravies told me what they knew."

After breakfast, the family dispersed to go on about their day. Many of the grown-ups wanted to picnic with the Bravies, the smaller Little Ones went along while the older Little Ones such as Em Muna were no longer interested in the Bravies.

"Anh Bubu, are you going to labor with the Anh Bravies today??" asked Em Muna.

"Maybe if my friends want to go see the Anh Bravies..." said Bubu.

"See, Chi Rika?? Anh Bubu's following you!!"

The many smaller little ones pointed at Bubu and chanted: "Anh follows Chi~ Anh follows Chi~ Anh follows Chi~!!"

You felt a bit embarrassed, Bubu was confused, and Puki burst out laughing. You wanted to play with Em Muna today, but what will Bubu do?
>Ask Bubu to come along to play with Em Muna and Dadu. Maybe Bubu can help teach Em Dadu to enjoy playing girl games like he does.
>Tell Bubu to go enjoy hanging out with the Anh Bravies today.

"Bubu, Kari and I are going to play with Em Muna and her friends today." you said.

"Oh," said Bubu. "Can I come?"

"Anh follows Chi~ Anh follows Chi~ Anh follows~!!" said the Little Ones.

"If you want to!!" said Kari.

Bubu stood there with a dumb face for a bit, before deciding something entirely different.

"Hmm... that sounds fun but I should visit the Gravies."

"Hnn??? Anh Bubu is brave enough to visit the Gravies???" said the Little Ones.

"Anh is brave~ Anh is brave~ Anh is brave~!!"

"Puki you should come since you're a Gravie too."

"Fiiiine!" said Puki.

Bubu and Puki left with Little Ones following behind them, curious about Bubu and Puki's courage. Puki didn't seem to appreciate their nosiness, but following Youthie guests is the sort of behavior all Little Ones do.

As for you and Kari, both of you followed Em Muna to her friends in the woods where Kari separated herself by climbing the trees. The boys were in the middle of arguing about who got to be the boss of their troop. One said he should because he has the most well-made stick, while another one said he should because he can throw rocks the furthest.

"Dadu, Dadu!! Can we play??" said Em Muna.

"No, we're playing Bravies, and only boys can be Bravies!" said Dadu.

"Hoho, that's fine with me, TURTLE SCARF ALONE DOESN'T NEED TO BE A BRAVIE!" Kari immediately dropped from the canopy, landing on her feet and stroke a pose. "In fact, Turtle Scarf Alone is stronger than any Bravie! I don't like fighting them, but some of them are mean and corrupt and need to be stopped!"

"W-we're not mean and corrupt!!" said a boy.

"Y-yea! We don't want girls to get hurt when we fight, th-that's why Muna can't play!"

Such stubborn boys... What will you do about this?
>Let Kari handle it.
>Release Forgotten Princess Ruka and denounce the Little Bravies as being mean and corrupt.
>Play as a villain and take Em Muna hostage.

While the boys and Kari were arguing about the nature of corruption, a sinister spark glared from your eyes. You took Em Muna into your arms and cackled maniacally!

"Ohohohoho!" you fufu'd. "While you fools were arguing, you forgot all about your precious Tree Tender Mana!"

"D-devious!!" said a boy.

Em Muna looked confused for a bit. "...O-oh!! Nooo, please help me, Dadu! You're my only hope!!" said Em Muna.

"Bravies, if you want to prove you're not mean and corrupt, then help me rescue our precious Tree Tender Mana!!" said Turtle Scarf Alone.

"R-right!!" said Dadu.

"Ohohoho... you didn't think it'd be so easy, did you?" you said. "Turtle Scarf Alone... THE ACORN FALLS NEAR BUT ROLLS FAR FAR AWAY!!"

Turtle Scarf Alone slumps down and the boys look at her with fright!

"Wh-what did you do to Chi Ka-- I mean Turtle Scarf Alone??" said Em Muna.

"Yes, Mistress. I shall obey the command of... SINISTER SORCERESS SIRA!!!" said Possessed Turtle Scarf Alone.

"I-impossible!!" said a boy. "What spookiness is this??"

"Ohohoho!! Turtle Scarf Alone in her hubris for more power to protect the Memories she cherishes made a deal with me a long time ago! In exchange for keeping her Memories as hers alone, I have sealed her Memory with my Dark Memories that I can activate with a phrase! Now she'll defend me from you, giving me time to perform a ritual to transfer all my Dark Memories into Tree Tender Mana's instead. Then I shall be free at last, OHOHOHOHOHO!!

"C'mon friends, we must save Tree Tender Muna before it's too late, we must defeat Turtle Scarf Alone!" said a boy.

"N-no, not Turtle Scarf Alone! There must be a way to save her too!!" said Dadu.

Turtle Scarf Alone and the boys begin their fight, while you whisked Tree Tender Mana far, far away!!

You run off with Em Muna deeper into the woods, giggling the whole way until you find a quaint grove.

"Chi Rika, this is so much more fun than Tea Host!!" said Em Muna.

You began your ritual by digging a hole, with Em Muna's help of course, big enough for Em Muna to squat in and bury her legs. Em Muna rubbed dirt on her face to make her look darker and you grabbed some branches to tie in her hair, as well as some to hold on to make her look like a tree. After finishing up and making sure Em Muna was comfortable enough, Kari and the boys came into the grove.

"Sinister Sorceress Sira, your possession of me is over!" said Turtle Scarf Alone.

"Release Tree Tender Mana at once!!" said Dadu.

"Ohohoho! It's too late, the ritual is about to be completed, and your precious Tree Tender Mana will become a tree to hold my Dark Memories, and every acorn that falls from it will grow more Dark Trees, spreading my Dark Memories, OHOHOHOHO!" you said.

"Noooooo!!"
>>
>>6110339
Tree Tender Mana waved the branches in her hands, tapping you like an attack. You reacted dramatically as if you were being entangled.

"Hnn!? H-how can this be!?" you said.

"Please don't give up my friends," said Tree Tender Mana, "I will use what little energy I have left to protect Our Memories... even if I wilt!"

"YOU CAN'T DO THAT TREE TENDER MANA!!" said a boy.

"No time to talk her out of it," said Kari, "We must defeat Sinister Sorceress Sira once and for all!"

You fought Turtle Scarf Alone and the boys, some of them grabbed leaves to throw at you to simulate Tree Tender Mana's help. After a short bout, you fell over on purpose.

"Arrghh! I'll return one day, watch your back!!" you said.

Dadu stepped over you with a stick, ready to strike you with the final blow. "Your sinister days are over, Sinister Sorceress Sira!"

"S-stop!" said Tree Tender Mana!

"Hnn??? But why!?"

"Sinister Sorceress Sira is born from unwanted Memories... if you defeat her, there will be nobody to remember her, she will only return... Therefore..."

You rolled over to Tree Tender Mana's lap where she hugged you.

"I shall remember her Memories, no matter how dark they are... even she deserves to be remembered..."

"N-no... you can't do that, Muna!!" said Dadu with tears in his eyes.

"It's okay Dadu... please remember how much fun we had together..." Tree Tender Mana slowly closed her eyes while Turtle Scarf Alone and the boys cried.

"I'm sorry Muna... we should have played together more..." said Dadu.

Such a bittersweet ending, even if the plot didn't make that much sense... Tree Tender Mana will forever suffer with the Dark Memories of Sinister Sorceress Sira, while Sinister Sorceress Sira will finally be remembered. It's time to finish the game, how will you wrap it up?

"No... not Tree Tender Mana..." said Turtle Scarf Alone. She placed her hand on Tree Tender Mana's heart. "I, too, wanted Sinister Sorceress Sira to be remembered, but she alone was overwhelming for just me... Dark Memories shouldn't be a burden for one hero, but Ours!!!"

The Little Ones gathered, holding hands in a ring, surrounding you. A few of them cried, their tears dropping onto you. One couldn't cry so he licked his fingers and wiped it on his cheeks. Tree Tender Mana lifted her legs, the dirt on her lap sliding off.

"Dadu... thank you!!" said Tree Tender Mana. The Little Ones cheered, picking up Em Muna and carrying her off while you stayed on the ground, presumably forgotten by the Little Ones.

The following morning as you were preparing to depart with your friends, the Little Ones cried for you to stay, wishing to play with Turtle Scarf Alone and Sinister Sorceress Sira more.

"But Chi Rika, aren't you also Forgotten Princess Ruka??" said Em Muna. "I wish I could play with her, really..."

"I'm sorry Em Muna, but next time I come by, I'll definitely be Forgotten Princess Ruka for you!!" you said.

Em Muna had a crown made of the twigs you tied onto her the day before, gifting it to you. Though you didn't have anything to offer, Em Muna will forever remember you and Kari whenever she plays as Tree Tender Mana. On your way out to see the Bravies goodbye, the tiny Little Ones chanted "Anh follows Chi~".

"They wouldn't stop being so annoying yesterday at the Gravies." said Puki.

"Were they that brave to stick around??" said Kari.

"I think they were just stupid and curious. They just kept pointing at things and yelling SCARY! and giggling afterward."

"But the Gravie Pappy and Baba were nice and liked that Little Ones came to play with theirs," said Bubu. "They had fun playing with that Little Gravie there, I hope they continue to visit her to play."

"Oooh, just like you Bubu, hnn??"

The Bravie Road turned into a dirt path that you continued. You came across other Youthies going the opposite direction, saying your greetings and exchanging information on what to expect. You learned that the path leads to a marshy area of the Lingdom and that at the center of it all: Big House Rest, an inn operated by the Big House Family that's surrounded by multiple villages. You know of this inn, hearing about it from your elders.

Once there were 4 couples who each had 8 children, and each couple's child coupled with the child of a different couple, and all of those couples each had 8 children and so on until the original 8 pappies and babas had 512 great-grand Little Ones! Now there's nobody left to marry, so some of them have been going to find another place to raise Little Ones, while others stay and hope to marry a hardworking guest!

It was apparent that this sort of lifestyle was considered a hyperidealized fairytale ending for many of your elders, who dream of being surrounded by their Little Ones and their best friends whom they shared Little Ones with.

Your acquaintances tell you that if it's your first year; don't bother laboring at Big House Rest, especially if you want to marry in, and that you're better off just enjoying a night there and moving on. You say your farewells and continue on with your friends until you reach one of the villages that surround Big House Rest when the Sun was highest. The village was on a hill surrounded by Paddies and had many raised roads leading to other villages.

"You know, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to try to labor for a bit at Big House Rest! It might be very hard, but we'll learn something, plus we'll know what we have to improve on if we fail!!"

"Ha, no thanks! I'm going to be a Gravie anyway, and I like it that way. Besides, there are too many people at Big House Rest, and I HATE being around too many people!!"

"I think it will be too scary for Moochy. Maybe we shouldn't go?" said Bubu just as Moochy was being tossed treats by a group of Little Ones.

A tough choice. What sounded the most fun to you?
>Visit Big House Rest. We don't have to labor there but we can still check it out.
>Visit all the other villages that surround Big House Rest, you feel as if they're often ignored and overshadowed.

You decided to visit all the other villages surrounding Big House Rest with your friends, starting with the one you were already at! Little Ones were already enjoying Moochy's presence, though Bubu quickly discouraged them from feeding him.

"Astounding, is that a fox??" said someone.

You and your friends turned to see a spectacled Youthie your age who was dressed rather smartly.

"I've read so much about foxes but I've never seen one this close!" he said. "Did you know foxes come in all sorts of colors?? This little guy looks like the typical red, but they can be dark or white as well! We like to live in trees well not anymore, not literally anyway, we still build our houses with trees, but foxes, they like to dig holes in the earth and live in them just like Our cousins from Shiny Rocks--"

The Youthie kept switching topics in a constant stream, though you maintained silence out of politeness and wondered if he would ever stop. Puki didn't want to wait until he stopped.

"Sorry pal but we gotta go," she said.

"Oh?? Where too? Can I come?" he said.

"Are we already leaving this village? But we haven't even had a meal here!!" said Kari.

"You haven't eaten here yet?? But that's the first thing I do in every new village I go to, you should try their rice-filled rice balls where they mash rice into a sticky dough and bake it with cooked rice on the inside--"

As he wouldn't stop talking, Little Ones began running around him and chanted "Anh Yapper~ Anh Yapper~ Anh Yapper~" though that didn't get him to stop, it just added more noise.

"Um excuse me Little Ones, but Anh wants to hear what Anh has to share," said Bubu.

"Why don't we find a host here first and see if they have any labor that needs to be done?" you said.

"You can stay with me, Chi!!" said a Little One as she darted to her house, compelling you to follow her.

"What's your name? My name is Vuboi but everybody calls me Bubu." said Bubu.

"Bubu? What a funny name, I have a funny name too, it's Tito, it's funny because sometimes people say Sito or Chito or Tsito, I guess saying Ti is just too hard for people--"

You noticed Bubu didn't seem to mind listening to Tito, but you were glad Tito had someone to talk to and Bubu was probably making friends with another boy.

"I hope he doesn't come with us..." said Puki.

"Why?? Bubu needs more guy friends and he seems really nice!" said Kari.

You saw a group of bigger Little Ones sitting outside of their house doing a reading session. When they say you, one of them waved to Tito.

"Anh Tito is back~" he said. "Anh Tito, are these your friends or cousins??"

"They're my friends I just met them today because of their fox friend can my friends be your guests today?" said Tito.

A baba appeared at the house's main entrance looking rather disappointed.

"Anh Tito, what are you still doing here?" Baba said. "You shouldn't waste your youth around here when you have the whole Lingdom to visit."

"But Baba, there's just so many villages here, plus it's so close to home so if I ever get homesick I can just go home and I've read so much about a lot of the other villages but not the ones here so I want to learn more about the villages around here--"

"Anh Tito, are these your friends?" said Baba.

"Oh yes, Baba, I just met them, this one is Bubu, and that one is... um..."

Baba shook her head. "You've gone and done it again, haven't you? Talking about yourself and never listening..."

You all introduced yourselves and thus baba invited you all in. Tito and Bubu went off to play with the Little Ones while you, Kari, and Puki stayed behind to help baba cook.

"Thank you for being Little Tito's friend, Little Ones," said baba. "Tito's from the Big House Rest, so he has many siblings and cousins. I think he's just not used to be given much attention because of how many Little Ones they have."

"Big House Rest?? What is he doing here still?" said Kari.

"I think he's just a little bit lonely and wants to have a friend who will listen to him every day. The Little Ones sure love listening to him. They're probably listening to him now."

With lunch prepared, you called for the Little Ones to return home to eat. You spotted Bubu and Tito walking side by side, Bubu with his usual dumb look and Tito not giving him a chance to talk, but Bubu was never one to talk much anyway.

During the meal, Tito never stopped talking but having Bubu listen to him, it was easy to ignore since Tito focused his attention on Bubu. Every time you checked back in on them, Tito seemed to have moved onto another topic, once you heard him speak about bathing and when you checked back in he was talking about the stars in the night sky.

After your meal, the Little Ones ran off to play outside. Tito and Bubu went for a walk together where Bubu probably just listened to Tito yap the whole way.

"That's so funny, in the last village the Little Ones made fun of Bubu for following you around, now he's just following Tito around!!" said Kari.

"My my, that's the first friend I've seen Tito made that just let him be himself," said Baba. "He's probably having so much fun being able to share his Memories, but I'm afraid he should start making Memories instead."

"Doesn't Tito have plenty of cousins to go with? What about older siblings??" said Kari.

"I'm sure if his Anh or Chi knew they would make him follow them around, but maybe they think he's going with friends. Most of us around these villages didn't know who he was since he was usually stuck in his room reading for fun and never playing. His family must have been too busy with guests to notice. Such is the folly of our wild dreams..."

"I think we should invite Tito to come with us. Besides, Bubu seems to like him."

"I think Bubu's just being very polite. I haven't heard Bubu say anything besides 'okay', 'oh', hnn'." said Puki.

You're not entirely sure if it's a good idea to invite Tito to journey with you but at the same time, you felt a bit sorry for him. You saw him returning from his walk with Bubu being tailed by some Little Ones trying to listen on. He should also learn to speak listen and listen more.

"Anh Tito, come over here if you please," said Baba. "I have these baskets of rice and acorns that need to be delivered to the other villages around your home, could you please do it for me? I think you should take your new friends with you to introduce them to your neighbors."

"Okay, baba!" said Tito.

Baba had two pairs of baskets that needed to be delivered, each pair tied to a pole that could be carried by two people. This will leave one person free to rest at any given time. How will you arrange this movement?
>Pair Tito and Bubu together because Bubu seems entirely okay with listening to him.
>Pair Tito and Puki together because Puki might teach Tito to speak less.
>Pair Tito and Kari together because Kari might match Tito's energy.
>Pair Tito with you and brace yourself.
>Let Tito start with resting so he can talk to everybody.

>Ask Bubu if he is fine getting paired to Tito. If not, pair Tito with Puki instead.
It's far more likely that Bubu will be fine keeping him company than not. However, if Tito gets paired with Puki, I think it'd do her some good just so she doesn't spend the whole journey commenting from the sidelines.

Tito and Kari picked up a pair together while you Bubu picked up the other, leaving Puki with nothing to carry. Bubu wasn't much of a talker, so you spent your time listening in on Tito and Kari, you little rat!

Tito: "Did you know We used to carry everything like this when We still wandered across the Lingdom, it was so long ago I can't really imagine going everywhere carrying one of this all the time--"

Kari: "I know, and you know We did? We sang all the way~~"

Kari quickly picked up the pace, forcing Tito to catch up. It compelled both you and Bubu to do the same with Moochy chasing along.

"Carry me, carry me, carry me like I'm still crawling~~
Sing to me, sing to me, sing to me like I'm still learning~~
Cook for me, cook for me, cook for me like I'm still growing~~
Play with me, play with me, play with me like I'm still crying~"

In no time you made it to the next village. Little Ones were playing in the outskirts and when they saw the commotion you were bringing up, they soon chased after you singing the same song. The energy brought the villagers out to see what was going on. When you reached the village grove, you all placed the baskets down. Tito seemed too out of breath but Kari wasn't.

Kari: "Hello people, the baba from over yonder asked to bring this to you!"

Pappy: "Oh how nice of them, let's cook these right now! Why don't you Young Ones rest or play, leave this to your elders."

You staged the remaining three baskets for the next movement as the elders opened the fourth to cook. Tito was still catching his breath and it seemed he wasn't in the mood to talk.

Rika: "You don't move fast a lot, do you, Tito??"

Tito: "N-no... Not really. What about Puki? She wasn't carrying anything but she was so slow!!"

You're sure Puki definitely could have kept up. She just didn't want to. So for the next movement...
>"Maybe you and Puki could carry the two together if she's as slow as you wanted to be??"
>"I bet Puki could carry the one faster than you carrying nothing!!"
>"Puki's just very shy, do you want to take a break and walk with Puki this time?"

Also here's a bonus map of the Lingdom I made over the weekend, meant to represent its diverse biomes and relative distance from each other instead of showing the location of settlements.

Rika: "I bet Puki could carry the one faster than you carrying nothing!!" you told Tito.

Tito: "Hnn?? B-but I'm so tired right now, that's not fair!!"

Kari: "If you're so tired then... then I'll carry the pair on my own to the next village!!"

Pappy: "Hoho, aren't you Little Ones energetic today? But if you want to make it to the next village by sundown, then you better eat up!"

You and your friends ate with the Little Ones who asked Tito so many questions about random things, it looks like he's a regular guest across many villages around Big House Rest.

Little One: "Anh Tito, did you see the Bravies? They're so big and strong! Are you going to be big and strong??"

Tito: "Oh no, not me! My papa and mama weren't tall so I won't be, but I'm glad I won't be big and tall since that means I'd have to live so far away from here for a long time and I get homesick easily--"

Kari: "Anh Bubu is going to be a Bravie, his papa and pappies were!!"

The Little Ones looked at Bubu with awe.

Little One: "But Anh Bubu looks just as big as all of you!!"

Tito: "That's because he's not old enough you see Bravies are as small as us until they're around 17 or 18 years old and then they grow so many inches within the year, I heard it'd painful and they have to stay home for the whole year so they can be taken care of--"

While Tito was running his mouth, you whispered over to Puki.

Rika: "Pss, hey Puki! I told Tito that you could carry one basket faster than he could carry none."

Puki: "Pwahaha! You're not wrong, but I didn't want to run with you guys. I guess it's fair for me to carry at least something once, but I'm not running!"

You finished your meals and rested a bit to digest your meals. When it was time to go, Puki picked up one basket, holding the pole in front of her with the basket hanging behind.

Little One: "Anh Bubu, Anh Bubu, if you're so strong, can you carry two by yourself? Can you race Chi Puki??"

Bubu: "Okay." Bubu picked up the pair and started marching off at a normal pace.

Puki: "No." To avoid further nagging, Puki took off at a brisk pace. It just made Bubu catch up.

Kari: "Wa! Bubu is so fast!!" Kari chased after Bubu and Puki, with you following behind.

Rika: "C'mon Tito, we're not going that fast!"

You and Kari caught up with Puki as she didn't care much to actually race so she maintained her brisk pace. Bubu on the other hand.

Kari: "No fun, Puki!!"

Red: "Hey, as long as I'm ahead of bug-eyes."

You turned and saw Tito trying to catch up and although he's gaining he was having a hard time. He might just run out of energy by the time he catches up to you.

Poor Tito... he's working harder than any of you...
>Go back to Tito to push him with encouragement!
>Go back to Tito to keep him company.
>Leave him be.
>Catch up to Bubu to be alone with him.
>Catch up to Bubu to tell him to share the load with Tito so he'd have company AND be doing his labor.
