You feel a cold sweat overtaking you as you avert your gaze from Anji’s. You’d talked about your sexuality on forums and boards in the past, but actually hearing someone come out to you was a shocking thing to experience. And that was without even processing the whispers from your angelic companion, who seems to be able to see that you are the object of affection in this young man’s heart. How could he feel that way about someone he just met? I was hanging out at her house and we both were able to enter on her computer…” He rubs at the back of his neck as you approach a rather modest looking home tucked away behind the shrine. You both slip off your shoes and make your way inside. Anji goes with his feline and grabs some snacks after showing you to his room. It was rather plain, though there were a number of band posters strewn across the walls. Luxmon makes himself at home and tucks himself under the kotatsu that sat in the middle of Anji’s room. You hadn’t heard of most of these artists, though you do find one that stands out, seeing as it was the only poster with a hot pink background. Warp Love, a rather popular idol group that had been soaring to the top of the charts over the past couple years. Though sadly the lead singer, Megumi, had passed away in an accident a few months ago. You remember hearing your mother mention a vigil of some kind that would be happening soon, but you were never that big of a fan… Anji returns to his room with a tray, a full teapot and various snack cakes that came from a local convenience store. “I hope this is alright, I didn’t wanna waste time and make something fresh.” “It’s more than fine, I used to get these melon buns all the time when I still went to school…” “Oh, you don’t go to school anymore? You sit yourself down next to Luxmon, tucking your feet under the blanket, a sigh of relief hitting you as the soft warmth of the heater overtakes you. You start to eat the melon bun, the simple sweet flavor was really nostalgic. After a few bites of your snack and a sip of your tea, you look across the table to Anji and Tailmon. “Hey Anji, Luxmon happened to bring something up when he saw your partner, and I’m a bit curious as well.” “Yeah! Where is your freaking holy ring?! Isn’t that thing like really important!?” Anji looks over to Tailmon and shrugs, “Tailmon didn’t have any weird rings when he got here. But he did steal one of my uncle’s necklaces.” “My lack of a holy ring is quite simple. I cast off the shackle of the Holy Order.” The feline mutters in a surprisingly deep voice before taking a long sip of his tea. “What are ya talking about?! Holy Order is like the best freaking thing out there! They keep all the bad dudes in check, without them it would be total chaos!” The feline lets out a small chuckle but doesn’t respond to Luxmon’s irate words. This must have been especially important to Lux, seeing as he was getting red in the face as he stared over at Tailmon. You look across to Anji and see a small smile on his face, having his mind off of the rest of the day seemed to be helping his mood. And he so kindly offered to carry her the whole way back.” “I most certainly did NOT offer, but we couldn’t exactly leave her lying there.” He mutters, sliding past her and gingerly setting the lizard down on Anji’s bed before he collapses onto the ground, his feet obviously aching and he wiggles his feet around. “Regardless, I admit that I was a tad… overzealous. And for that, I apologize. To you and my Anji darling.” You squint at her and feel a vein in your forehead bulge a bit, but you were rather surprised to see her apologizing, especially with what Anji told you about her.
