You and Joe brought the injured Onlion aboard Ben Currant's balloon, but after an out-of-the-way landing outside Fort Brass, Joe was waylaid by a larger-than-average Wooldozer's wallop while trying to capture it by himself! Leaving Joe under the watchful eyes of Onlion, you and your mon friends made for Fort Brass to seek help from the humans during the first day of their festival, but instead you were found by Yuccaza and his human Raul, a member of the Traders! Fleeing to the top of a parade float full of human dancers, your fancy footwork was followed by a friendly meeting with the traveling nurse Charlie and her mon Shootuner!Rescuing Joe and returning to Fort Brass, you set out into the streets to find your first job and ended in the employ of Trevor, a down-on-his-luck mon groomer with no help and an angry Pokumon! Subdued by the suds of your shared soaking, Pokumon proved no problem, and Trevor treated you to your first day's pay, but the big payoff was your LOVE stat increasing thanks to your generous gesture of a hot sandwich to Joe! With Joe back on his feet and you posing as a Plodapod, you all attended the festival's closing ceremony surrounding a huge crystal, but when Joe was put in the spotlight, you were filled with energy from the strange selection! Unable to sleep, a late-night fly-by by your friend Auroara led you both to a secret between Auroara and her human Overseer Kinsen that had been left buried for thousands of years! Accosted by alien-type mons beneath the crystal, you fell victim to its Spectrum ability before falling through the floor into the liquid lair of the lurking Lottamax! Saved from certain submersion by Auroara's aquatic actions, you and your friends all shared a ride in Charlie's buggy to the train station in Weldspring, where you bid farewell to Auroara and entered the Cutécaptor before Joe boarded the train to meet a professor who specializes in human-type mons! The ever-foggy Cape Smelt was scary, but its resident Professor Lungwort was even scarier! After leading you and Joe to his parlor alongside his partner, the airheaded Miasmiss, Professor Lungwort revealed he was really a human-type mon called Spyjak posing as a Professor to plunder the powers of other human-type mons before Miasmiss subtracted their stats! You survived with your BODY intact, and Professor Lungwort's timely test questions caused your MIND stat to double before Miasmiss's hunger made short work of Spyjak's BODY, and Spyjak as well!With the house to yourselves, you discovered the duplicating Ekro, but when Joe insisted on keeping you out of the fight, Ekro escaped and Joe was left holding the snare!

Are you thinking about going there because Professor Lungwort was talking about an ancient human who's still alive?Well, you don't have any money for a train ticket right now! You open your eyes and sit up on the couch and look around but you can't tell if it's morning because it's so foggy and there are so many shadows! When you look at the fireplace you see the wood is all gone. Well, Professor Lungwort's house is still scary even if it really is morning! You look around some more and see Joe's backpack on one of the couches. You remember it has the Cutécaptor that Professor Plumtree invented to capture a Cutémon, and a Mini Sleep Bomb, a picture of Joe's sister, some rope, your Sunglasses, and your Silly Hat that looks like a Plodapod!You put on your baseball cap and look at Joe and...What? You just realized you don't know where Joe is?[SFX: muffled thump]You hear something upstairs!
You look at the stairs and then look at your mon friends sleeping on the big blanket on the floor. It seems like none of them heard anything![SFX: muffled thump]That was even louder than the other noise! Well, maybe it looks nicer on the inside!Joe looks up at the building and then pulls open the door and walks inside and looks around and then says "Hello?"...You don't hear anything! You and Joe look at each other and then you walk through a doorway and-Scurl attacks before Cutémon was ready!When you walk through the doorway you see a human man and a big mon that looks like a muscular blue squirrel! It's a Scurl! Scurl looks at you and says "Scurl!"Joe looks at the human man and says "Um, is this arena open?""Forget it, kid. This place hasn't seen a match in years. Ramster waves the tiny slips of paper at Tamounda and Lottatax and says "Ram-ram!" It looks like Ramster is taking bets on Joe and Ekro!Tamounda looks up at Joe and the Ekros and then looks at Ramster and says "Tamounda!" and points at one of the slips of paper with his tail! What? Tamounda is betting against Joe?
