With the majority of the Seventh Universe united under the banner of the PTO, Emperor Cooler at its head, the universe has known a time of unrivaled peace. But in the shadows threats have been growing, nursing grudges against the PTO and the Saiyan race in particular. And now those threats are rising, stepping out of the shadows to openly challenge the established order. Seeking nothing short of the destruction of New Salda and the extinction of the entire Saiyan race, can you prevent this outcome? Or will the Saiyan race be reduced to nothing more than memories, their heroes nothing more than ink in the pages of the history books?

You the players will (most often) control Karn; wielder of the mighty Berserker Soul and hope of the entire PTO, not only the Saiyan race. From his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733, only a few years into his time as a member of the PTO, he has grown in power and skill, overcoming the world-ending threats that have come for the Saiyans to become the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 758. From the massive Covenant empire to demonic incursions, mad cultists to vengeful gods, none have been strong or clever enough to put down Karn for good. But will one man's power be enough to protect everyone from the rising threats? Or will death come from those who you least expect it from? Your choices may mean the difference between survival and extinction, so choose carefully.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn and his family, all of his family enjoy a meal at the restaurant two of Silver's disciples establish in the new city the evening before deciding his training schedule the next day. Where first comes the administration work, then learning the advanced fighting style Juyo from Bane before teaching his students all in the morning. After lunch is solo training time at 100x New Salda's gravity, maxing out his gravity chamber before training his Energy Body to be 'reactive' with Meloka before finally sparring Cooler, eating a final meal of the day then relaxing before going off to bed. However, after supper today Karn joined the rest of his family to watch Chaya face down the Sixth Universe's greatest assassin Hit, unleashing the power of Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken to defeat him. And as we rejoin Karn, Chaya has just announced that she's going to be hosting some sort of competition across the universe to find her new love.

“A competition, huh? Interesting.” you mutter, wondering how long she's been cooking this sort of scheme up. “Well, I'm sure she knows what she's doing.”
“I hope so.” your wife sighs out, sounding a bit more hesitant. You glance to her, thinking back to how long the two of you have been together, and wish your daughter the best.

“Surely she'll find someone out there for her.” you think to yourself as you look over your family and see Milha and Darkness sitting together. Noticing your daughter is actually pinching the inside of the larger blonde woman's thigh, twisting it to where it looks rather painful. Glancing to her face, she doesn't seem to be in pain. Rather, she seems to be enjoying it. A bit too much, but whatever their relationship is you leave it alone. Instead you keep looking over your family, noticing that your son Chilli, despite it being over a week since you'd last seen him since the battle he'd nearly lost his life in on his world, he still seems surprisingly emaciated.

With hollow cheeks and sunken eyes he looks just as fragile as before, yet despite his weakened appearance his power feels just as strong as ever. And he seems just as lively too, laughing at something his youngest said that you didn't quite hear. But after a moment, almost as if sensing your gaze he turns, locking eyes with you. And in that moment, you realize several things.

First, you see a weariness, a tiredness to his expression that's worrying. Like he hasn't slept in days, pushing himself to exhaustion to keep going. Yet, despite the weariness in his face his energy doesn't feel strained or exhausted either. His ki and face not matching, something's off with him. Not only that, but there's something...Else to his power. Like a residual power, something that feels somewhat familiar but alien as well.

“Dad? What is it?” Chilli asks you telepathically. “What's wrong?”

Well? How do you respond?
>Ask him if he's really doing well, you're concerned that he's still looking in as rough a shape as he was a week ago
>Tell him he's looking sick, ask if he's eating and sleeping enough or if he needs

“Are you really doing well?” you ask, also telepathically. Watching his expression carefully. “I'm... Concerned, son. You still look like you're in as rough a shape as you were a week ago.”
“Oh, that.” he replies with his thoughts, sighing out in what seems like relief. “Well, turns out that this new look's permanent. A side effect of what happened to me, just like not being able to sleep anymore.”
“Wait, what?” you reply, eyes widening at this. “For how long?”

“Since I woke up after having that piece of Death in me. I haven't been able to sleep since.” he replies, and for just a moment you see the weariness and pain in his eyes. Not from physical tiredness, no. This is something deeper, something worse. “I can see it, I can... Feel it all the time now. Death. When I look at someone, anyone, I can see how much life they have left. How long they have left to live.”

Silence hangs between you both at this, Megumin noticing her husband's expression and turning to him, asking him something you don't hear as you try and comprehend the burden he's carrying. The weight of that sort of knowledge, how it would no doubt weigh on him. No wonder he looks so drained, that insight must be draining. And as you glance to your wife, who is also looking curiously to you, wonder how you'd react to knowing just how long she has left in this world? Or your friends, your children, your grandchildren. What a burden he's carrying.

“But why can't you sleep?” you ask him, putting that aside and focusing on your son's condition. “Do you need to come home to sleep, or-?”
“No no, it's not surroundings. I'm just... Beyond that now.” he replies, further confusing you. “My body was changed by Death, according to Lord Jergal I'm not even entirely alive anymore.”
“What?!” you exclaim, everyone turning to you as you realize you'd shouted that aloud. To which Chilli laughs, standing up and addressing everyone.

“I'm sure my looks are garnering some questions in all of you, that you all are concerned for my health so I'll address it now.” he says, everyone looking to him. “Yes, this new look of mine is permanent. You all don't have to keep asking me if I'm okay, because I'm fine. But I do thank you all for being concerned for me.”
“Oh thank goodness. I was worried about you turnin' to skin and bones.” Chaya, who'd teleported into the box as he started speaking says, and to your surprise she also brought Hit and Caulifla with her. The assassin's gaze looks at Chilli with an appraising eye, you see his posture change. Despite his hands in his pockets, you can tell he's a moment away from attacking. “Glad to know it's just a side effect.”

“Yeah. Surviving having Death inside you and coming out unscathed is something even I can't do.” Chilli replies with a laugh, his eyes hard as he stares Hit down. But as he does, you sense something... Different with your son's energy. It isn't entirely his own, you sensing something more to it. Something that feels familiar, reminding you of your own Champion power back on New Salda. But how in the world can he do something like this here? “Not a bad fight, you two. Well done.”

“Hahaha, thanks! I had a great time.” Chaya says, turning to Hit and holding a fist up to him. “It was a good fight, let's do this again some time!”
“Hmph. You're something else, you know that?” Hit replies, cracking the smallest of smiles before drawing his hand out of his pocket, putting his fist to her own. Your daughter's grin widens, the two lowering their fists after a moment only for Whis, the attendant of Lord Beerus himself to suddenly just appear beside Hit and your daughters. And he's not alone, accompanied by Kars, the aspiring Supreme Kai of all people.

“I must say, it was indeed an excellent showing from both of you.” Whis says, holding a rather precarious stack of Dreadzone concession food all boxed up. “Are you ready to go?”
“Yes. I'm done here.” Hit replies, nodding to your daughter and turning towards the angel. “I'll be seeing you at the next tournament.”
“Looking forward to it!” Chaya replies, still clearly amped from her earlier fight. Looks like they're about to leave.

But before they go, any questions for any of the three? Anything you wish to say before they go?
>Ask Whis how Freeza's doing, how his training is coming along
>Tell Hit that next time the two of you fight, you'll be the one who wins and not by a disqualification either
>Ask Kars if he has made any further progress with his own power after his fight with Chaya

But before they can, you stare at Kars, who senses your gaze and turns to you.

“Yes, General Karn?” he asks, clearly knowing you want to ask him something. “Is there something you want?”
“Yeah, just one thing before you go. You been keeping up with your training?” you ask him, momentarily startling the Kai. “I trust you've been working on getting stronger, ever since your last fight with Chaya?”
“Heh. Very observant. Yes, I have been. Working on something, well... Let's just say that half-Saiyan is the secret to some incredible powers. Ones even strong enough to one day battle and surpass your Berserker might.” Kars says with a sly grin as your brows shoot up. Several surprised noises come from your family at his bold statement, Kars smiling smugly at the reactions. “But you can't get a sneak peek from me, although you've already seen one avenue I'm exploring.”

Immediately you're confused, but as he flicks his tail you notice something. It isn't the usual Saiyan-like tail, instead it's more feline with a larger tuft of fur at the end. And remembering where you've seen that tail before your eyes widen, realization dawning. To which Kars' smirk widens, then without another word vanishes. Taking himself, Whis, and Hit to who knows where and leaving your family all here at Dreadzone.

“Wonder what he was talking about?” Kayle asks, clearly not knowing the power he was speaking of. But you do, and as you glance to your daughter, see she recognizes it as well. But instead of looking excited, as she was after her fight with Hit to battle him again, she seems more pensive. She sees your expression as well, reaching out telepathically.
“You thinking what I am?” Chaya asks, you nodding in response. “That could be a problem.”
“Yeah. But we're going to keep getting stronger as well.” you reply, then aloud continue as you walk over, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Well done, by the way. I didn't know you were working on that next level of power.”

“No kidding. It took me years to master Kaio-Ken with Super Saiyan Blue.” Ace shouts over, sounding somewhat proud. “You pulled off one hell of a trick there.”
“Thanks! It hurts like hell, and I'm not gonna be able to fight for a few days as my body recovers. But it got the win.”
“Hold on. Kaio-Ken and Blue is seriously that dangerous?” Meloka asks, suddenly worried about your daughter's well-being at hearing this.

You all talk for a bit longer, you watching closely as Chaya yawns in exhaustion, slumping into a seat.

“Man, I'm beat. Let's call it a day.” she says, then calls over to her niece and nephew. “Meloka Wolbach, Kazuburo, come tell your auntie goodnight.”
“Okay!” they both shout, running over and giving her a hug. Making you smile as they say their farewells, you all saying your goodbyes. As you do, when your granddaughter comes to you you pick her up, holding her up at eye level.
“You gonna come to my birthday party tomorrow?” she asks you excitedly, you kissing her on the forehead.

“Of course kiddo. Wouldn't miss it for the world.” you reply, your granddaughter wrapping her arms around your neck.
“YAAAAAAY! I can't wait! And you get to meet Modoriiromoukin too!” she says with a smile, you letting her go and fly over to your wife, saying farewell to her as well. Saying your goodbyes, your mind keeps focusing on your granddaughter. And what you're going to get your little girl for her party in the morning. Chilli departs with his family, Milha and Darkness first, creating a crystal portal and all stepping through back to his world. Leaving you all here, readying to go.

Well? What do you do?

Deciding to head off and explore the ruins once you get home, Chaya says her goodbyes to you all as well, you and your family returning home via Towa's magic creating a similar portal, you all stepping through it to your home. However, as Towa closes the hole you turn away from the ship, getting ready to go.

“Dad? Where are you going?” Karn Jr asks, you glancing over to see him looking at you, head cocked curiously.
“Going to get your sister's present for the party tomorrow, I won't be long.” you reply, your young son nodding and yawning. You then take to the air, however you aren't alone. Glancing back, you see Caulifla and Lottus both following you as well. So you slow down, letting the two catch you as you all fly. “Where are you two headed?”
“Same place as you, I reckon.” your daughter answers, expression resolute as she transforms back into her Darkmoon Goddess form. “Going to clear out a few more of these Darkwraith bastards before heading to bed.”

“Alright, I'll try and stay out of your way. I'm heading deeper, to look for a suitable present.” you tell her, then have a thought. “Is that why you're here tonight too?”
“I usually do this, but not this late.” she replies, a little sheepishly. “I have quite a few treasures from these Darkwraiths, but nothing that suits her. Hopefully I'll find something tonight.”
“Good hunting.” you reply, the three of you dropping out of the sky by the massive hole, the two Super Saiyans guarding it immediately transforming at your approach. But then relax as they recognize the three of you, Kabuya lowering her guard.

“Evening General. That time of year already?” she asks, powering back down as you land by her. “Little one's birthday tomorrow?”
“That's right.” you reply, the woman nodding and turning her attention to Cauli and Lottus.
“As for you two, don't forget. That fog of yours doesn't stop SOUNDS from coming through, remember? I don't want to listen to all that.” she says, you seeing your daughter and Lottus' faces suddenly flush bright red. Looking down in embarrassment at the reprimand, you chuckle to yourself, leaping down into the massive hole. Flying down into the massive chamber, remembering the fight you'd had down here with that undead dragon years ago. Wondering where it ever ended up, having been blasted out into space like that. Wherever it is, you're sure it's still alive. But as long as it's not your problem, won't worry about it, creating a smallish ball of emerald ki in your hand to light the way as you start making your way down into the labyrinthine passageways below.

However, after a minute or so, seeing once again how complex and confusing these tunnels are, reach out to New Salda itself. Linking yourself with the world once more, to enhance your awareness of your surroundings as you close your eyes.

OF COURSE MY CHAMPION.” comes the booming reply, you feeling your world's power and awareness flooding up into you. Opening your eyes once more you no longer need your ball of ki to see, in fact you don't even need your eyes to know the layout of this place. So you dismiss that small amount of energy, making your way deeper. Down and down you go, flying down long non-functioning magical elevator shafts and holes in the floor to reach down to the lowest levels. Coming to a stop before where there was once an invisible wall, you knowing the room beyond's floor was broken by the mighty undead's hammer. You decide to take a look in, flying over the barrier warning off entry, seeing that the entire floor of the room you'd battled the stone armored warrior in is simply gone. Vanished down into the inky darkness below. Expanding your ki sense, you don't sense anything down there, but you do notice something... Peculiar. Up above you, just below Kabuya and Cassa's energies where you'd expected to sense Caulifla and Lottus, there's a massive blank. An entire area you can't sense at all, as if it's been separated into another dimension.

“Huh. Wonder if that's to keep those Dark warriors from getting away?” you mutter to yourself, turning from the empty room and taking another path. Heading down deeper and deeper, you once more find yourself before a dead end. And without hesitation draw your right fist back, smashing it into the wall. The illusion breaks, image of the dead end wavering before both your eyes and New Salda's awareness can perceive beyond it. To the tunnel continuing another five yards or so, to a rather large treasure chest. One nearly as wide as your own base form's shoulders, a chain hanging off the handle on your right side. The chain is broken, as if the chest was seemingly hidden here in a hurry.

But at the same time, suddenly you feel as if something's watching you. Expanding your ki sense, suddenly you feel a bit of life from where the treasure chest is. As if there's something in the box alive, a small energy that wouldn't even register on a scouter. Maybe a mouse or some other small rodent, aware of your presence as the hiding spot is discovered. You walk up and grab the sides of the box's lid, throwing it open. Only to see the strangest thing, the opening of the box lined with jagged, sharp spikes.

It takes you an instant to recognize what's happening as arms suddenly reach out of the chest, grabbing you!

“WHAT?!” you exclaim, the box creature suddenly pulling you into what you now realize is its maw. The chest creature tries to eat you, you reaching down and placing your left hand on the top of it's 'mouth', right pressing down onto the creature's tongue and keeping it from chomping on you. “SHIT!!”
“GAAAAAH!” the treasure chest creature snarls in frustration in not being able to eat you, shoving you back. Then, to your shock it stands up on skinny legs, letting out a crazy-sounding laugh from its emaciated frame. The beast is even taller than you, your face level with the 'neck' of the monster where the bottom of the 'box' is yet its body is very stick-like. Its powerlevel explodes up, the creature surprisingly powerful. Still not as powerful as you are even as a Champion, but probably strong enough to prove a problem to your younger family members or the teams who come down and explore this place.

But what do you do? How do you handle this creature?

“Tch!” you exhale as you slide your weight to your back foot, taking your fighting stance. Left arm up perpendicular to the floor, hand open to grab incoming or close into a fist as necessary. Knees bent, ready to leap forward or back, right arm pulled back to your waist, fist clenched and readied to deliver a powerful blow. Only for the treasure chest monster to suddenly leap off the ground at you, spinning clockwise and firing a heel kick at your chest! Which you stop by stepping into the strike, redirecting it up and over your head with your left forearm. Closing in, twisting your upper body counter-clockwise and firing a right uppercut straight into its emaciated frame. “HAAAAA!!”

Your fist lands flush, tearing straight through its frame. Ripping the creature in two, causing it to flop to the ground. Its legs fall dead, but it's upper body reaches for you again, grabbing your ankle and trying to pull you into its mouth. However, you plant your other foot, twisting and tearing your leg out of its spindly grasp. Continuing the movement you twist, taking another step back to avoid its wildly-swinging clawed fingers. For a few seconds it swings wildly, then quickly tires out as its powerlevel plummets. You then dash in, left drawn back and swinging down. Smashing straight through its wooden exterior, the creature groaning out as it dies.

“Guuh-aaaaaaah!” it cries as its body perishes, dissolving into motes of white light. However, instead of disappearing all the lights coalesce into a trio of items laying on the ground where it died. First is a single-handed sword with a needle-like blade, the basket hilt shaped to resemble a spider with the blade it's silk. A fitting gift for when she's older, perhaps. But the second item is one that draws your attention, a seemingly-unassuming white staff. You reach down and carefully pick the staff up, and curiously channel a whisper of ki into it. Causing the light around you to shift and distort, and when the effect ends, you at first don't notice anything. That is, until you look down at yourself, and no longer see your own body. Instead, you seem to be hovering over a small ceramic pot the size of your torso, you stepping back in confusion. Only for the pot to move with you, causing you to realize immediately what this is.

“An illusion? A disguise? Interesting.” you mutter, setting the staff down. Immediately that effect ends, the distortion once more disorienting you a moment. You step back forward, reaching down and grabbing the small pendant-like object, holding it in your palm. It looks to be some sort of hair pin, appearing emerald in the light of your aura. It could be different when you're no longer in your aura's light but the more clarifying light of your ship. So you gather up the items, expanding your ki sense again. Caulifla and Lottus' energies are still hidden, so with a sigh you release your Champion power, reaching out to the Saiyan guarding the entrance.

“I'm heading back out, with them blocking the entrance I'm going to teleport out.” you tell Kabuya telepathically, raising your right hand to your forehead.
“Understood, General. Did you find what you were looking for?” she replies.
“I found something, through another invisible wall. Don't worry, there's no cleanup or damage to the tunnels. But if you find a treasure chest, don't trust it.” you tell her, sending flashes of what you'd just gone through to her.

“Oh, those? We've been finding a few of them on the lower levels, a few of the exploration teams got bisected before we started checking all the treasures. Sorry I didn't give you a heads up.” she replies.
“Don't worry about it, just warn Cauli if she decides to go deeper.” you tell her, ending the link and focusing your ki sense. Locking onto your wife's energy, teleporting directly out of the labyrinth and to your wife's side in your bedroom. Who looks curiously at the items in your hands, focusing on the sword.

“I hope you're not planning on giving that to her. There's no way Chilli will let her have it anytime soon.” your wife says half-teasingly. But why a stick?”
“I agree. But, I found it so I'll save it for when she's older.” you reply, reaching up and placing it on the highest shelf, which is mostly empty nowadays with the holocron no longer up there.

Well? Do you show Meloka what it does now, or do you save it for a surprise the day of the party?

“As for the stick, well. You'll have to wait and see tomorrow.” you say a bit teasingly, setting it up there as well. However, you don't also set the hairpiece up as well, instead walking over to your wife with that hand closed.
“What's that?” she asks, you then turning your hand over, opening it. The hair ornament rolled over in your hand, so you flip it, revealing the ornament's gems to be green as well. Not quite emerald, more of a jade color, but it catches the light beautifully. Sparkling, your wife's eyes widen in surprise as she sees it. “Woah.”
“Yeah. Found this as well, going to give it to her along with the stick.” you tell your wife, who clearly thinks this is the better gift than the stick. Taking it up in her hands gingerly, turning it over, she lets out a low whistle.

“And where did you find this?” she asks, you relaying the story of how you found it. Watching her reactions as you do, grinning a bit at the shock on her face when you tell her about the treasure chest mimicking creature. “Hold on. You said this thing could suppress its powerlevel down to that of something smaller than a rat?”
“Yeah, I suspected there was a small animal in the box, not that the box itself was alive. Caught me by surprise, that's for sure.” you reply, then relay how you'd bested it, and these items were born of it. She looks more suspiciously at the hair ornament and the stick, but doesn't question it, instead handing the small, delicate gem-encrusted piece before going over to the closet, opening the sliding door. Revealing that your wife had gone and gotten her granddaughter a suit of armor made in just her size. Complete with undersuit, boots and gloves. “Oh, good choice. I'm sure she'll love it.”

“And it's lightweight, so she'll be able to wear it under her other clothes.” Meloka says, rapping her knuckles against it. “This is the newest weave of the armor, stronger and lighter than all previous versions.”
“That'll definitely keep her safe.” you reply, yawning in exhaustion. “You did good.”
“You too hun.” your wife says, closing the closet and coming to you, flying up to eye level and wrapping her arms around your neck, kissing you passionately. You embrace her, falling back onto the bed and getting lost in each other for several minutes, until the door opens.

“Starting without me, I see.” a teasing voice comes, you recognizing Towa immediately. But your wife pays her no mind, her focus entirely on you within her as the demon princess shuts and locks the door behind her, undressing as well before coming up behind your wife, leaning in and biting her ear while her hands come around and explore Meloka's front. The three of you enjoy the night together, both women collapsing exhausted to the bed beside you once you've all had your fill, sleep taking you all. Then, in the morning, feel yourself rising from your slumber. However, your senses immediately tell you that something's... Off. You can't quite place it, it isn't the usual feeling when you wake early of someone watching you, the feeling is more indistinct. But something's definitely wrong.

But what do you do?

For a moment you consider your actions, then with a small smirk close your eyes, reaching out telepathically.

“Haathe, are you awake?” you think to the young woman, who answers immediately.
“Yes, my lord. What is thy bidding?” she asks, without hesitation.
“Something's wrong. Can you sense it as well?” you ask, silence hanging between you a moment before she answers.
“No, I do not sense aught wrong, my lord.” she replies, but get the feeling she's now on the move. “Fret not, for I shall search thy entire home top to find the cause of thy worry.”

“Be careful.” you reply, the sensation of wrongness growing slightly. “If there's any threat whatsoever, let me know immediately. Don't risk your life engaging, I'll handle it if it's a problem.”
“I understand. I shall doth as thou command.” she replies, as suddenly through the mental link you start getting flashes of images. Haathe exiting her room, looking left and right but seeing nothing amiss. Leaving her room, silently walking down the hall clockwise. Glancing up to your top shelf, see the white staff still there, as well as a few of the spider sword's legs. The presents are safe, but what could be causing this sensation?

Haathe continues to be your eyes, making her way all the way to the mess hall. Which, as the door opens, you immediately realize why your body reacted the way it did. As sitting there, in your mess hall without a care in the world are Freeza, Whis, and the God of Destruction himself, Lord Beerus. All digging in to a breakfast prepared by Silver and his team, only for Lord Beerus to stop, ear twitching towards her.

“My lord. Beerus the Destroyer sits at thy table.” Haathe communicates, backing away and letting the door close back shut as the deity starts to turn towards her. “What shall I do?”
“Do NOT approach, head back to your room. Thank you, but I'll handle things from here.” you reply, not bothering to sneak as you rise up out of bed. Pulling the sheets off you as you go, Meloka and Towa both grumbling a bit in their sleep.
“Understood.” Haathe replies, clearly rattled as she ends the mental link. Carefully rolling up and over your wife, you go to the dresser, quickly donning a training uniform as Towa, the lighter sleeper sits up a bit blearily.

“Karn? What's goin' on?” Towa asks, speech still a bit slurred.
“Lord Beerus is here.” you say, your words snapping the demon princess awake. Eyes wide as she understands the gravity of the situation, going to Meloka to wake her.

As your wife wakes you finish dressing, immediately heading out of the room and marching down the halls. Intercepting Haathe, stopping her as the younger woman is shaking. You reach down, grab her by the shoulders and crouch, looking her eye-to-eye.

“You did good. Thank you.” you tell her, your words soothing and calming the former Abyssal being. Who nods, taking a deep breath before sighing out, addressing you.
“Thank you for your kind words, my lord.” she says, nodding once more. Patting her on the shoulder, you stand back up, making your way over to the mess hall. Where the door opens once more, but this time Freeza turns towards you as well as Beerus, Whis paying the door no mind as he enjoys his meal.

“Good morning, Lord Beerus. I hadn't expected you. Lord Freeza, how're you doing?” you ask, giving both of them a proper Saiyan salute before approaching. “What're you all doing out here?”
“Ask Freeza. He insisted we come out, said today was a party we couldn't miss.” Beerus replies, turning back to his food and taking another bite.
“Surely you haven't forgotten what day it is, Karn?” Freeza asks, to which you chuckle.

“If you mean Meloka Wolbach's party, of course not.” you reply. “Already have her gifts ready to go.”
“Grrfff?” Beeurs asks through a mouthful of food, forcing himself to swallow before speaking more clearly, addressing Whis. “A gift? Whis, do you-?”
“Already taken care of, my lord.” the angel replies, as suddenly a red, square box with a yellow bow wrapped around it appears in his upraised right hand a moment. Then it disappears again once Beerus nods, the two deities returning to their meal.

“What took you so long?” Freeza replies, his focus back on you. “Although I do like the new location, you could have given me a warning before we arrived on your old island.”
“Yeah, that just recently happened.” you reply, explaining to him everything that's happened since he's left. Your friend listening in rapt attention as he eats, nodding along as you catch him up to speed.

“Good. I had expected her to best that assassin. But look at you, taking on a leadership role. My General is stepping into his shoes.” Freeza says.
“Hahaha, dunno about all that. Didn't want the authority in the first place, but since I have it I'll be damned if I do a half-assed job.” you reply. “Although I should probably let them know the plan, since I won't be there this morning.”

And with a thought you reach out to Mayze, filling her in on your plans for the morning and asking if she needs your authority for anything.

“No, everything's well handled this morning. Go be with the grandchild, we'll handle things today.” she replies, you thanking her and ending the mental link just as the door opens once more. Towa and Meloka both walking in together.
“Ahh, good morning Meloka. You seem to be doing well.” Whis says to your wife, who nods to him, Beerus not even turning from his food. “And you as well, Princess Towa.”
“Yes, I had a rather enjoyable day yesterday.” Towa replies, your wife blushing a bit as she remembers some of the things that happened last night. “And what about yourself, Whis?”

“My days have been quite relaxing as of late.” Whis answers, to which Freeza scoffs.
“Of course. With me doing your morning chores, you have all the time in the world.” Freeza retorts, both Whis and Meloka laughing at this. Making you wonder what sorts of training Whis has been putting him through. Curiously, despite it only being around a month or so since you'd last seen him, expanding your ki sense realize that Freeza's powerlevel has skyrocketed, his base power now easily on par with what your wife's would be as a Super Saiyan. Which is startling, his base power nearly double what it was when he'd left. Seems that, whatever this training is, it's no joke. He then turns to you, a smug grin on his face. “At this rate, this time next year I'll be stronger than even your full power, Karn.”

Well? How do you respond?
>Wish him luck, but let him know that you're going to keep pushing yourself, no matter how strong he gets

“Whenever you want a rematch, I'll be there.” you tell him, meeting his gaze and tapping the side of your head. “Just reach out and say the word.”
“Ohohoho, quite bold of you to assume you can reach the divine realm on your own.” Whis says, then holds his fork to his chin thoughtfully. “However, if there was any mortal who could do so, I do believe it would be you.”
“What?! What was that Whis?” Beerus suddenly shouts, completely losing his composure a moment before taking a deep breath, speaking more calmly. “Did I just hear you say that you think he could come to my world?!”

“Do you really doubt that Karn, of all mortals, wouldn't find a way to the divine realm if he ever set his sights on it?” Whis asks him seriously, you seeing Beerus hesitate. And that hesitation makes the Berserker Soul within you sense weakness, and for a moment tries to go on the attack. But without you it is impotent, writhing within you and unable to interact with the world. But Freeza seemingly notices this, turning from Beerus back to you with his eyes narrowed, yet questioning. SO you reach out telepathically to your friend, assuring him.

“Don't worry. I've got it under control.” you reply, Freeza giving you a shallow nod as another mind reaches out to your own.
“Hey, Dad, are you awake?” Chilli reaches out to you telepathically. “It's nearly time.”
“Yes, your mother and I are up. How soon will things begin?” you reply, getting the logistics for the party ready. The two of you talk a few moments, you telling your son what you'd found the day before. He agrees that the sword should wait a few more years, until she has better control and won't accidentally put her eye out with one of the spider sword's legs or something. But he does like the staff and hairpin you found, saying they'll be perfect. You both talk until Beerus is finished, sitting back in the seat and sighing out, only a few seconds having passed for your entire conversation. He ends the link, no doubt to reach out to someone else as you turn to Meloka.

“We have fifteen minutes to get everyone ready.” you think to her, and Towa your wife nodding and turning to leave the room. But Towa seems less ready to leave, instead turning to Freeza with a questioning look.
“So, Freeza. You've been training with Whis for a bit now. Have you become able to sense divine ki yet?” she asks, catching the former emperor by surprise. He turns to her, a brow raised curiously.

“Have I-?” he starts, only for Towa to, out of nowhere, ascend into her Demon Goddess form. Whis' expression darkens, looking all at once calm as an undisturbed lake but hard and unforgiving like a mountain cliff. As if he's perfectly relaxed yet ready to leap into battle at a moment's notice. Freeza, however, suddenly grins, clapping his hands.

“Well now, this is surprising. With power like this, I'm surprised YOU haven't become Karn's new sparring partner, instead of my brother.” Freeza says, surprising you that he knows of this.
“I'm not a fighter, I'm a scientist. I have no interest in the martial arts, as they are. But even I do need power to defend myself, should the need arise.” Towa answers, Freeza nodding along with her words. “Better to leave the fighting to those good at it.”
“I once thought like you, until Karn came along into my life. Perhaps, one day, instead of growing his already large family larger he'll show you the joys of martial conflict as well.” the former emperor replies, turning his attention back to you. “And my brother? Seriously?”

“Hey, if you're not around, someone's got to kick his ass enough to keep him humble.” you reply, actually getting a genuine laugh out of Freeza.
“Oh, I can assure you that your power keeps him quite humble. Knowing that even with all the might and power of our Golden form he cannot simply roll you over must keep my jealous brother up at night. Make him stronger for me, Karn, so that when I can return his defeat will be all the more satisfying.”
“Will do.” you reply, the two of you shaking hands before you rise, ready to get your other children up and ready for the party.

Several minutes later, after getting all your children who live with you up and ready, you start reaching out to the others, making sure Broly is ready, and then Chaya. However, as you talk with Chaya, she tells you there's a problem.

“My ki's all out of whack. I can't use Instant Transmission at all.” Chaya replies, you feeling her annoyance through the link. “I tried to teleport to you all three times, each time landing somewhere completely unexpected. And now I have no idea where I am. Could you do me a huge favor and come get me?”
“Of course, not a problem.” you tell her, raising your right hand to your forehead to focus on her energy through the link.
“Right about now would be good. Before I'm eaten.” Chaya replies, not a sentence that helps with your concentration. But focusing on her energy through the link, her ki so faint you can barely sense it, you teleport directly to her. Only to discover your daughter standing face-to-face with a colossal dragon, eyes burning red with hate.
“Shit.” you mutter, the beast opening its maw and belching forth a column of fire at you both.

“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, thrusting your right hand, your only free hand as you're holding your daughter's presents in your left forward, firing a wide wave of ki. Your energy catches the flames well short of you, keeping the fire and heat away from you and your daughter. “How'd you end up here?”
“I don't know, my powers aren't working properly.” Chaya tells you, clenching her fists and clearly trying to transform. But her aura only flickers blue a moment before turning red, gold, and even green and violet before fading away, power shrinking. “I can't even fly like this.”
“We'll tell Towa when we get back, see if she knows. This probably happened to Ace, but he and Future Chaya weren't back from Conton when I'd left to get you.” you reply, the dragon ending its fire and weaving its neck aside, dodging your blast. But now it looks warily towards you and your daughter, you holding your left out to her. “Hold these, and be careful with them. I'll handle this.”

“Thanks.” she replies, sounding relieved and embarrassed all at the same time as you take to the air. Which you can get, having fought such a tremendous battle the day before only for it to leave you helpless, you've been there. Usually not on your feet, but you've been there. So you decide to wrap this up quick, gathering your ki for an Energy Javelin.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxEvbOzUs60

The dragon hiss/growls at you, then spreads its own wings, flapping them once, twice, three times to get itself airborne. But in that time you gathered and shaped your energy, firing it as a piercing lance of power down. Your spear flies true, piercing directly into the beast's skull, detonating after a moment. Completely obliterating the creature's head, sending bone shards, blood and brains flying in all directions. You even catch a tooth that went rocketing straight towards your right eye. The tooth is the size of your forearm, and deciding you'll give it to Chilli to make something out of, lower yourself back down to your daughter's level. Who is looking at the jade accessory you found, turning it over in her hands.

“This is really pretty. You found it down in the ruins, didn't you?” Chaya asks as you land, you nodding to her. “I thought so. It's got some kinda magic running through it, can't quite tell what.”
“Wait, you can detect magic?” you ask her, genuinely surprised. To which she laughs, handing you back the items as you raise your right to your forehead.
“Yeah, was something I gained after I got a handle on the divine power. But I can just tell if something's magic or not, and if it's benevolent or cursed. Don't worry, neither of these are cursed.”

“Good to know.” you reply, focusing on Meloka's ki through your linked wedding rings. Teleporting to your wife's side after a moment's thought, leaving the giant beast on whatever world that was behind. Finding yourselves outside the ship, a second later you notice a crystal inlay near the ship only because the crystals begin to grow. Rising from the ground and shaping into an arch, the portal between your world and Chilli's own forming and allowing you all to step through. Which you do, leaving New Salda and arriving in the Crimson Demon village. Where the entire village has come out. The party's about to start, people running around and finishing setting the long table running through the middle of the village, your son and his family all waiting there as you all step through.

“GRANDPA! GRANDMA!” Meloka Wolbach shouts excitedly, flying directly to you. Holding your arms out to your sides you plant your feet, bracing yourself as she flies directly into your chest full-force. Causing you to grunt and slide back a few inches across the smooth crystal before finding purchase. “You made it!”
“Wouldn't miss this for the world.” you tell your granddaughter, hugging her to you. Then as you let her go, she notices the giant dragon's tooth in your hand.
“Is that for me?” she asks, sounding confused. To which you laugh, telepathically telling Chilli before tossing it to him. “That's just something I got for saving your auntie. No, these are for you.”

And you redirect her attention to your left hand, where she sees the staff first. You see her eyes go wide, looking from it to you as her jaw drops.

“You got me a magic staff? Really?!” she asks excitedly, you seeing your daughter-in-law looking startled at this.
“Of course. But it's not just a magic staff.” you tell her, handing the white branch to her. “It also has a secret.”
“A secret?!” she asks, eyes sparkling as she looks from it to you, unsure which to look at. “What secret?”

Well? How do you answer her?
>Talk her through what to do, but don't outright tell her what it does
>Instead of telling her show her, have her let you hold the staff and activate it. You want to see the look on her face as you use it, which you can't see if she does it herself
>Tell her that it's a secret, one she has to figure out herself. But you know she's a smart girl and will figure it out in no time
>Let her know you'll show her after the party, once the celebration's over and then give her her other present

“Do you wanna see?” you ask her in a pretend whisper, her eyes widening as she nods excitedly. You chuckle, setting her down and taking a step back, holding the staff before you. “If you focus your ki, and not magic into it. You can do this.”

And as you focus, sending just a trickle of power into the staff it activates once more, light shifting around you as your image changes. No longer are you standing there, but instead something else. And while not a pot, like you were down in the ruins, instead your image transforms into that of one of the crystal chairs Chilli made lining the table.

“Whaaaa-?! Woooooaaaaah!!” your granddaughter exclaims, eyes wide and sparkling in amazement. To which you chuckle, taking a couple steps back and forward, causing the image of the chair to move along the ground with you. You can still hear your footsteps, something you hadn't noticed before, but perhaps that'll help Chilli and Megumin keep her from getting into too much trouble with it? Then, by releasing the trickle of power the image fades away, returning to you standing there. “That's soooo coool!”
“And it's all yours kiddo.” you tell her, kneeling down and offering her the staff. Which she rushes over and takes, looking eager only for her expression to turn to shock as it shrinks down to fit her hands. Seems it was in fact made by the same beings who made your sword, along with other magical weapons. “Just a small trickle of power, don't put too much into it.”

She takes the staff in both hands, not noticing her second present in your palm as her focus is entirely on the staff, looking it up and down. Then, closing her eyes and focusing her image wavers as well. Transforming into a crystal chair as well, you hearing her exclaim as well.

“Imma chair! Wowee, this is so cool!” she shouts, immediately lifting up off the ground. Causing the image of the chair to start hovering as well, flying around a moment before once more landing in front of you. Dispelling the illusion, and giving you the biggest smile she ever has before rushing to you, giving you a hug. “This is the best present ever! Thank you so much grandpa!”
“I'm glad you like it kiddo.” you tell her, hugging her as well. Embracing her for several seconds, before pulling back. “And I got you one more gift.”
“Wait, there's more?” she asks, looking shocked. So you open your left hand, revealing the jade ornament. “What's this?”

“It's for you.” you tell her, gently rolling it over in your hand, the gems catching the light. Her eyes widen, reaching down and carefully taking it in her right hand. “It goes in the hair, like this.”

You reach up and gently put the ornament in her hair, your granddaughter turning to her parents. Who see the ornament and the massive smile on her face, both smiling as well. She runs over to them, proudly showing it off for her parents to ooh and ahh over, before she turns and runs over to your wife. Whose hands are behind her back, hiding her surprise.

“Wow, that's very lovely. Are you ready for my present?” your wife asks her, Meloka Wolbach nodding enthusiastically. To which she glances to Chilli, who nods, tapping a toe on the ground. Causing a cylinder of opaque crystal to spring up around the two as Meloka Wolbach gasps in surprise.
“Is this for me?!” she asks, you hearing the sounds of her getting undressed from her school clothes, then dressed into the new suit. And with another tap of his toe Chilli lowers the cylinder, your wife holding both the staff and her old clothes, your granddaughter dressed in a Saiyan uniform. “Mom, Dad, look! I got my own armor now!”
“Wow, you look good in that kiddo.” Chilli says, your granddaughter clenching her fists. Then, with a shout roars, golden aura blazing as she transforms. Which is when you notice she took the jade ornament out, no doubt planning to transform. “You look like a real fighter now.”

“This is so cool! And I can wear it under my uniform too!” she says, powering back down after a moment and turning back to your wife, giving her a big hug. “I love it, thank you!”
“You're welcome. I am glad you like it.” your wife says, handing her back her school clothes and her staff, putting the jade hair ornament back in her hair before your granddaughter rushes off to her parents to show them more closely. You smile, enjoying watching her being so happy. Reminding you of all you went through to arrive at this place, making this reality possible. You did it, you made it.

As you all fill in, you find yourself moving off to the side, where you have a better view over events. Or, rather, over the entire town square, watching everything unfold while expanding your ki sense, trying to keep watch over everything. After everything that's happened year after year at her parties, you don't want someone else to show up and ruin things. The skeleton Ainz and his people all arriving through one of the crystal gates, greeting your son and family. Then Rimuru the slime and his people arrive as well, everything seemingly going well. That is, until you sense someone suppressing their energy coming up behind you. Immediately whirling around you see a blue-haired man with a single horn protruding from his forehead, swords crossed across his back. Who stops as soon as you see him, his one eye not covered by his hair widening in surprise.

“Stop there.” you say, leveling your hand at him, a ball of ki gathered in your open hand. “Don't come any closer.”
“Easy, easy, he's with me.” a familiar voice says from above, glancing up and see the slime, in its humanoid form with large bat wings hovering there. “Souei, what did I tell you? Chilli warned us to not try sneaking up on him, you're lucky he didn't fry you on the spot.”
“Forgive me, Lord Rimuru.” the man says, immediately kneeling. To which the slime sighs out, dropping out of the air and landing beside you.

“Go on, leave the space General alone.” Rimuru says, the man instantly vanishing. Then he turns to you with a sigh, shaking his head. “Ninja, am I right? They can't help themselves but to try and sneak up on people just to prove they can. But, I must ask, what are you doing out here?”
“I have a view over everything. Every year, it's been something.” you say after a moment, looking out over the town square where the party is in full swing. “No matter what, I'm not going to let anyone else ruin her party this time.”

“I see. You're a good man, General Karn. Your family is lucky to have you.” he says, then without waiting for an answer puts his hands behind his back, idling back towards the party. You keep up your watch, carefully watching things unfold. However, as you do, you realize that you're starting to subconsciously reach out to the planet itself, much as you would with New Salda. Only for something to suddenly answer back.
WHO ARE YOU?” an unfamiliar, feminine voice booms in your mind, the shock breaking your concentration on your ki sense. “YOU FEEL.... FAMILIAR.
“Dad? What are you-?” Chilli, his mind suddenly connecting your yours asks, an instant later teleporting over to you. “How did you-? Wait, hold on a moment.”

He then turns, tossing a small crystal on the ground. Causing it to grow, expanding into a towering lump larger than himself in a second, only for it to shatter. Revealing quite something inside. A pinkish crystal, feminine form appears, striking quite the resemblance to his wife with glowing crimson eyes.

“My Champion. This man, he is...?” starts the crystal being, your son nodding.
“Yes. Dad, this is the planet's avatar.” he says, then to the being introduces you. “This is my father, Karn.”

Well? How do you react to this news?

“I see. Impressive, well done son. Good job earning your planet's trust.” you say to him, reaching over and clapping him on the shoulder. “Seems your battle the other day was more important than I'd thought.”
“My champion purged a scourge from elsewhere, one that would have killed all life upon me.” the avatar says, you feeling your own eyes go wide. Remembering back to the Siege of New Salda, and how near total destruction your own world had come. Yet your son stopped a threat on that scale all on his own? Seems your boy really has grown up. You meet his gaze, and for a brief moment see something else there. Pride. Pride in him saving his own world, on his own terms and with his own hands. You remember the feeling, first time you'd saved New Salda afterwards. The two of you share a knowing look, a silent nod of understanding between you before he speaks up.

“Why aren't you down enjoying the party, instead of back here?” he finally asks.
“You go, enjoy this time. I'm keeping lookout.” you tell him, tapping the side of your head. “I won't let anything disturb this party. Promise.”
“I understand.” he replies, then turns to the avatar. Raising his hand towards it, no doubt communicating telepathically before the body is once more encased in his usual crystals. They then shatter, revealing he's teleported the crystal being away. You aren't sure to where, but if you were to guess it would be within his home. The crystal tower on the mountain overlooking the valley. “Don't spend the whole time out here, make sure you come enjoy the party too.”

“I already had my fun, seeing how happy she is.” you reply, Chilli's expression turning more serious. He nods, then turns, heading back towards the party and walking away. You remain on watch, your granddaughter going from person to person with presents, thanking them all. As you watch from a distance, ki sense focused as far out as it goes, suddenly you sense something approaching from space. It's power feels... Off, immediately making your skin crawl. But it's also powerful, something telling you you shouldn't underestimate it. So you instantly leap into the sky, ascending into your Berserker God form as the strange, alien life form unlike anything you've ever sensed approaches.
“Karn, what are-What is that?” Meloka asks you with a thought, but instantly sensing it as well. “What the hell IS that thing?!”

“Dunno. But I'm going to either turn it back or turn it to dust.” you reply, emerald aura blazing as you take a deep breath in, then activate your Barrier, trapping a bunch of air from the atmosphere inside it with you as you quickly leave the planet behind. Only to see what looks like a massive asteroid rocketing straight towards the planet. “A living asteroid? Or perhaps something's controlling it? Either way, that'll devastate the planet if it hits. Have to handle this right now!”

With that decided you draw your right hand back, gathering your energy into it. And, thinking of your own father, smirk, calling out his attack as you unleash your power.

“FINAL SHINE ATTACK!” you call, firing the beam of energy through your own Barrier. Your energy blasts through the void, rapidly closing in on the approaching space rock and striking it center mass. Causing the would-be meteor to fragment, splitting from a life-threatening catastrophe to little more than small pieces of rubble that'll burn up into dust trying to enter the atmosphere. However, the ki signature you'd fired at managed to dodge the beam, you seeing it floating in the void. Roughly where the center of the meteor was. Seems that, whatever this thing is, it tried to use the meteor to shield itself, perhaps the heat of reentry through an atmosphere would cook it? But then it begins to move, left and right, up and down, as if trying to figure out what happened. Which leaves you with just one question:

What now?

But before you can decide, the triangle suddenly begins to morph, its shape changing as four tentacles emerge from its body. The small black triangle turning into a red-orange and light blue colors, shifting into a humanoid form. Then, roaring into the void that unsettling energy begins pouring off of it in waves. Seems that, whatever this thing is, it wants to fight. Which you'll oblige, blazing your own emerald Berserker God aura in response. Whatever this creature is, you're going to take it down!

So I had this thought about that moment when we get to Eeea-rth. Imagine if Dr Gero was focused on research during this time. Imagine if instead of the beings that were used as genetic samples for creation of Cell in canon Dragon Ball Dr Gero would use Karn and other beings that may arrive with him. Imagine what kind of Cell could be made from this. I think it could be a very, very powerful Cell.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 229 Intermission-

AGE 796, PLANET EARTH

“Come on, don't give out on us yet. Just a little more...” you mutter, watching a year's worth of work culminating before you. The machine, cobbled together with scrap and held together with dreams and the last hopes of your world, continue to generate the precious fuel your crowning achievement, the Time Machine, needs to make one final trip back. Everything rides on this, if you can't gather enough fuel for even one trip, then everything- “No. This will work. It has to. Just a little bit more.”
“Auntie Bulma.” a familiar, tired voice calls. You turn, looking up at the entrance of your lab to see your friends' daughter, Marron, walking in. Despite her big, tired eyes that remind you entirely of her father's you can still see the care and love in them. She still has a smile on her face, just like her mother even after everything she's been through. The best of both of them. The two of you just look at each other, having not seen each other in months before you speak.

“Hey, what a surprise. Great to see you.” you say as she walks down the metal steps, walking over towards you. “You're looking well kiddo.”
“I guess. And you're as beautiful as always-ah.” Marron replies, still wearing the jacket you'd given her before her first trip back to the past to save you all from the androids, despite how ragged it's gotten before learning that the universe operates on Multiverse theory. Or, rather fact now, as it's been proven. Not like there's much of a scientific community now to share this discovery with anyways. But she stops as she sees the fuel canister, almost half-filled. “Is that-?”
“It is. Another few seconds and it should have just enough to make a one-way trip.” you tell her, but her expression darkens.

“A one-way trip? For a year of work?” she asks, not sounding enthusiastic as you step towards her.
“Hey, positive thoughts. This old girl managed to get us one shot, so we can't waste it.” you gently admonish as the machine, with a deathly rattle from its insides finally starts to give out. Smoke pouring from the top of it as you hear several internal mechanisms begin failing, but still managing to drip a few more drops into the container, filling it exactly to the halfway mark you'd lined before, when you had realized how long it would take to fuel and began on your backup plan instead of a round trip. Just in case. “That's all we've got, it's the best we can do.”
“But with multiverse theory being true, how will I get back? I can't just leave you here-!” Marron starts, ever the worrier like her father as you smirk knowingly at her.

“There is a way to get back. It's a bit of a gamble, but you just have to trust me.” you say, emphasizing the last two words so she'll get it. You can't make any more here, but with all of your notes you'd taken, both to design and build the time machine originally but also the fuel, how it all functions and how to make more, you're confident in yourself even when you were far younger. Thankfully that you never suffered at the hands of the androids, still has her friends and a world not ripped apart by two separate apocalypses. With all the resources at her disposal, recreating what you had to scavenge and scrap together should be a breeze. “Got it?”

“Sure.” she replies, you not entirely certain she knows what you mean. But before you can clarify, she speaks up. “Hey, you've been working yourself to the bone this entire time, haven't you? Why don't you take a little break?”
“Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. We don't have a second to waste.” you tell her, turning back to the machine. As it takes its last gasps you run through the closing procedure, locking the capsule then powering down the lab. The generator sighs out, you hearing another clunk coming from it. Knowing that this will be the last time you have power in here in months, as from the noise you have a feeling you'll finally have to go replace that cracked crankshaft. “We've got to get this to Capsule Corp as soon as we can. We can't take any chances.”

“I can take it from here. You should lay down, and get some rest. Seriously, when's the last time you got any proper sleep?” Marron asks, you turning from the final hope of your timeline to face her.
“Heh, nice try but I'm coming with you. What if something happens on the way?” you ask, Marron's expression turning dark. “If she attacks, we can't run the risk of you running into her alone. Two of us going means two chances to keep this safe. If this gets destroyed, all we've worked for in the past year will have been destroyed.”
“Haah, I got it. You've made your point.” Marron relents, not going to fight you on this anymore. A moment of silence hangs between you, before you speak into that void.

“I need to make sure you understand this, Marron. You can't forget how many people gave their lives to give us the chance to even make this energy. We have to honor that debt.” you tell her, Marron nodding seriously, eyes hardening. You know she's going to be dedicated to the cause, she always was a serious kid. Even before losing her mother to the heart virus, then her father to the androids. “That means seeing this through, no matter what happens. Even if we have to sacrifice everything to succeed. You're the last hope we've got, Marron. It's all up to you.”

“I know.” she replies, you nodding and twisting the cap on the cylinder after taking it up in your hands, sealing it even from light. However, as you do, Marron's head suddenly whips around, exhaling in a sound that's part fear and part hate, meaning only one thing: SHE has come.

KABOOOOOOM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii7QVyYxfA4

Suddenly the entire back wall of the lab opposite the side Marron had entered through is engulfed in a fiery explosion, you barely having time to widen your eyes in shock before Marron, shouting “GET DOWN!” grabs you and tackles you away. Shielding you with her own body as everything is engulfed in flames. The ceiling collapses, rubble landing atop the woman as she shields you from the large chunks of reinforced concrete. Burying you both, leaving you both trapped in absolute darkness for several seconds. She then pushes herself up, the rubble falling off her like water off a duck's back, you immediately checking on the fuel container. Which, thankfully, is made of tougher stuff, not even a scratch on it. Relieved, you then look up and gasp, seeing the lab where you'd spent almost all of your time for the past year in ruins, rubble having crushed everything.

“Your laboratory...” Marron says, eyes glued to the damage as you notice the smoke. As if being sucked out of the room, through the side door. You turn, and realizing what's about to happen swing the container into the younger woman's chest and shoving her back with all your might.
“GET OUT OF HERE! DO YOU HEAR ME?!” you shout, as a second explosion rings out from the other side of the lab. But this one doesn't hit you, the blast only sending Marron from you as the one who caused it moves faster than you can see, getting a hand on your collar and pulling you up off your feet.
“Wh-Wha-? GET OFF HER!!” Marron shouts, you fighting down your fear to shout at her for probably the final time. Wishing you'd gotten to spend more time with the extraordinary young woman she'd become.

“Marron, no! Be strong!” you call, your voice not as strong as you wished it would be. Your terror and fear bleeding through. “You HAVE to go! You have to.”

Watching her avert her eyes and leap away, you close your eyes a moment, knowing that she'll do what needs to be done before turning, staring eye-to-eye with your death. Wearing the face of your friend who'd died years ago, grinning with a malicious glee Amaya never had as she gathers her ki into her right hand. Your last thoughts of the day you found her and her brother Goku in the mountains, the day your life changed forever.

“Amaya...” you mutter, taking some small solace in the fact your last sight is of her face as everything goes white.

>>6152571
You don't hate Zamasu enough yet

At this rate, between Baby, and the two Zamasus that we know of, Karn is going to get so angry that it's going to overflow and glitch him into teal.
>>
>>6150887
>Going to be a bit of a timeskip with training, getting into the flow of things as you prepare for your next mission.
Karn’s city has been build, so that would mean that place where Karn and Galatea fought is different now. There should be a proper arena there now. Can we try it out before time skip?
>>6151053
>artists like @gutsbro14
His art looks amazing.
>>6150140
>“Heh. Very observant. Yes, I have been. Working on something, well... Let's just say that half-Saiyan is the secret to some incredible powers. Ones even strong enough to one day battle and surpass your Berserker might.” Kars says with a sly grin as your brows shoot up.
I have been thinking about this. His biology allows him do things other organisms cannot. He gained Super Saiyan transformations even though he is not a Saiyan. You could imagine that he probably tested many options to discover potential and power hidden with each known race.
Now he says that combining Saiyan with something is a key to huge power.
What are some combinations that we know of?
>Saiyan + Demon
>Saiyan + Tamaranean
>Saiyan + Ctarl-Ctarl
>Saiyan + Human.
Maybe he tested some combinations we have not heard of but he implies that Saiyan + Ctarl-Ctarl is the strongest one.
>you've already seen one avenue I'm exploring.”
>Immediately you're confused, but as he flicks his tail you notice something. It isn't the usual Saiyan-like tail, instead it's more feline with a larger tuft of fur at the end. And remembering where you've seen that tail before your eyes widen, realization dawning.
This seems like reference to Kaliflor Clan-Clan daughter of Aisha and Nappa. This is interesting because other combinations like for example Saiyan + Demon also seem very strong, but he hints that Ctarl-Ctarl is the strongest one known so far.
I would like to see in action the power he talks about. How good is what he found.

Also I wonder can he accurately measure the possible future potential of each path right now? He said this Ctarl-Ctarl Saiyan combination will be stronger, but can he truly see it already now all the potential and power (and transformations) that may be hidden within various paths like for example Saiyan + Tamaranean or Saiyan + Demon?
And can he truly measure now how far the Berserker transformation can take Karn? If there is a new undiscovered level to Berserker God does he know about it already and how strong will it be? I wonder how accurate is his assessment of this whole topic related to how much one can achieve.
>>6152553
Good intermission, but actions of Zamasu are very bad. I think our Karn’s and this Zamasu’s paths will cross and then:
>>6152931
>Karn is going to get so angry that it's going to overflow and glitch him into teal.
Karn may reach levels of anger that should not be possible.
>>
Honestly if I didn't know Berserker Teal required mastering our anger I'm pretty sure Karn would transform into it once the Zamasu info drops. Hell I expect she/he will beam their memories of slaughtering everyone into Karns head just to fuck with him.
>>
>>6152931
Ha!
>>6152945
We still have a few things to do before skipping. And someone may be using the arena.
Always. Man's on his Toriyama-style arc.
Karn, only knowing a few half-Saiyans, naturally assumes the stronger ones are the ones Kars has experimented with. Thanks in no small part to Kars' clear deception. He's working on the MOST dangerous combo, one you'll not see otherwise.
As for assessments, he has the general power multiplier of transformations down, as well as the relative boosts to different attributes. He's a fan of Rose, Beast, and Golden especially.
>>6152977
Mastering is quite the... Nebulous word. Has different contexts. If you archive dive, you'll find one time -a- Karn unlocked it against Jiren.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Chaya's victory over the Universe 6 assassin Hit and confronting his son on his deathly visage, Karn returned home to find a suitable present for Meloka Wolbach's party the next day. Which he finds, after battling a sneaky monster lurking within the depths of the M'lurnian Ruins. Then, on the day of the party awakens to Lord Beerus having returned to his world along with Freeza, Karn gathering his family and heading to Chilli's planet for the party. Where, after giving her her gifts and getting your hug you step back, watching over the festivities. That is until an unknown, unfamiliar and wrong-feeling energy starts heading towards Chilli's planet, Karn going to intercept it in space. Blasting the asteroid it approaches on, only to reveal the alien lifeform is a triangle. One that bounces around for a few seconds before realizing Karn is watching it. And as we rejoin Karn, the triangle transforms.

“What the hell?” you think to yourself, watching the black triangle morph into a more humanoid form. Four tentacles sprout from the triangle, two turning orange and two turning teal as the being morphs into a more humanoid form. With four tentacles instead of arms, two rectangular protrusions where most beings have ears, a purpleish gem seemingly embedded in its chest and legs that end without going into feet. The eyes, which register you before it throws its head back, arms waving as its unsettling, unnatural-feeling power suddenly begins to skyrocket. Waves of light pinkish energy roll off the being, releasing a roar into the void you feel in your chest. Yeah, this thing has to die. Now. “HRRRAAAAAA!!”

Roaring into the void you throw your right hand up, firing a large emerald ball of ki forward. The creature, however, morphs its two right tentacles into a hand like your own, raising its hand and gathering a crimson energy there as its eyes flash crimson. Drawing chunks of the asteroid back, using it to try making a shield. However, your power is far stronger than mere stone, blowing it away in a single blast and turning the rocks to dust. Obscuring the creature from sight a moment, before it launches itself up, towards the next nearest large chunk of rock, turning back to face you. You only have a minute or so before running out of air and having to return planetside, so have to end this quickly.

But how?
>Rush and attack, beat this thing down with raw physical power and superior technique
>Rush in and try out your Juyo. You're not sure if it'll work, but this creature seems like a good test dummy for it

“Gotta end this, quick.” you think to yourself, aura flaring as you immediately dash towards the creature. It sees you coming, its body morphing once more. The creature's head loses its ear-sided head fins, changing it to a long fin in the back, the two thin tentacles on each side merging and shrinking to one as it becomes slimmer. Then it takes off, moving surprisingly fast. As if sensing your intent, it is trying to keep distance between you both. “Oh no you don't!”

Raising your power further you accelerate, closing in on the creature despite its speed boost. So it starts trying to zig and zag through the ruins of the asteroid, trying to lose you in the field of debris but you don't let it escape. Pouring on the speed for several seconds, you keep up with its faster form. And, realizing that it can't get away, twists, body morphing once more. The two arms again become four, head shifting to surprisingly resemble Chaya's Dreadzone logo, pointing the four tips of its tentacles together. Creating a ball of unfamiliar energy that sets your instincts off, the creature firing the ball at you.

“Tch!” you exhale through clenched teeth, dashing a bit to your left to dodge the attack. The creature gathers its energy again and again, firing orb after orb at you. Which keeps you back, preventing you from closing in any closer to it. You can feel your air running out, and if this keeps up you're going to have to retreat first. So, with only a bit longer to act raise your right hand to your forehead, focusing on the creature's strange energy. And with a thought teleport, dodging one of its attacks and reappearing behind the creature. And before it can react, before it even knows you're there, you reach out. Swinging down with both arms, pin them to its sides, locking your arms together by grabbing your own elbows. Pinning the creature to you. “Got you.”

You see the creature's head turn towards you as much as it can, gazing at you with one eye as its body again begins shifting. Taking on a smoother, more rounded form, no doubt to try and escape your grip. But you've already gathered your energy, and with a roar that blasts the air from your body, you unleash your energy.

“HRRRAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, ki exploding. Crimson energy bursts forth from you everything disappears inside your blast, consuming everything. Energy pours off you in waves, ripping the creature in your arms to pieces. After a dozen or so seconds you end the attack, the light fading to reveal that the creature's gone. As well as all the asteroid chunks, leaving the space above Chilli's world just as clear as it was before the asteroid closed in. So you sigh out, exhaling the very last of your air as you raise your right hand to your forehead, seeking out other energy.

As you do, you feel several distinct powerlevels down below. Strongest of which is not Beerus the Destroyer, surprisingly, but is an even stronger power. Mechikabura has arrived. And he's not alone, accompanied by several powerlevels. Some of who feel familiar, like Future Chaya and Ace while others are completely foreign to you. Something's not right, this can't be a good sign.

But what now? Who do you teleport to?
>Mechikabura, it's odd he chose when you'd left to show up, something's fishy

Suspicious you focus on Mechikabura's energy, teleporting out of space directly in front of the Demon God. Finding him followed by Aeos, Trunks, Future Chaya, Ace, and a few unfamiliar beings behind them. You don't recognize these beings, but each one is either surprisingly powerful like the white being with two horns and seven dark blue orbs embedded in its chest, or completely nonexistant like the black-haired young man around Chaya's height. Yet he carries himself confidently, seeming nonchalant yet he's aware of his surroundings, eyes observing everything carefully.

“Daddy!” Future Chaya exclaims as you appear, her and Ace looking happy to see you. The other Time Patrollers, except for Trunks and the raven-haired man all flinch at your appearance, your Instant Transmission catching them by surprise. Aeos doesn't react, but Mechikabura grins slightly as you appear.
“Ah, well done. I was expecting you to have taken a little longer to finish that creature off.” he says, then adds in telepathically, addressing your concerns. “I was hoping to have delivered your granddaughter her present to show you upon your return, but it seems you shall be here for the reveal as well.”

A second of silence hangs between you before you nod, ever so slightly. He nods slightly deeper in response, then steps forward. You step back and to the side, letting him approach your granddaughter. Who you see is looking on, her expression a mix of excitement and confusion. And, perhaps just a bit of worry as well, since you'd teleported directly between her and Mechikabura. The Demon God steps forward, approaching your daughter as she stands before her mother holding her younger brother. You turn your head, glancing to Chilli who has placed himself at a strategic angle, noticing a line of crystal on the ground from his foot. Forming a wall between his daughter and the newly-arrived Time Patrol, ready to activate and defend his family at a moment's notice.

“Well well, it has already been another year? And look at you, Meloka Wolbach. Five years old, and already so powerful. In a hundred years, even I might be surpassed.” he says with a laugh, then holds out his hand. “As for your gift, I would like to see your new friend.”
“Modoriiromoukin? Why?” she asks, a hint of suspicion in her voice. To which he leans in, a twinkle in his eye as he stage whispers to her.
“To give him a special power. One that will give your friend the power to protect you, should you need it.” the Demon God says, and for a moment you think he's about to place the demon seal on the crystal bird by your daughter. “And to give him a transformation too.”

“A transformation?!” she asks, eyes sparkling as she turns to the bird, asking it if it wants to transform. But Modoriiromoukin tilts its head at your daughter, who transforms back into a Super Saiyan for just a moment. To which the bird caws, flapping its wings in seeming excitement as she turns back to the Demon God. “Modoriiromoukin says he's ready!”

Mechikabura nods once at her declaration before leveling a hand at the bird. Your instincts start to crawl, not in the usual, 'there's danger' way, but more that something you've never seen before is happening. Energy, pure, powerful energy surges from the Demon God into the bird, causing the green crystal creature to begin emitting blinding light. One that forces you to look away, various beings shouting in alarm as they're blinded by the light too. But then, as it fades you look to your granddaughter and her pet, only to see.... Nothing's changed. It still looks the same as ever.

“Huh? Where's the transformation? Modoriiromoukin looks the exact same.” she asks, sounding quite disappointed. To which the Demon God smirks as she looks to him.
“You have to say the magic words, of course. And strike a mighty pose.” the Demon God says, you seeing your granddaughter's eyes widening in surprise and excitement. “The magic word is “Henshin”. Say it as you strike your pose, thinking of sending some of your power into him, and he'll transform. Ready?”

“READY!” she exclaims, turing to face the crystal bird, striking one of her mother's poses with one hand on her forehead, right thumb over her eyebrow as her other is pressed palm-outstretched to the other side “HENSHIN!!”

Once more there is a flash of light, once again from the crystal bird. But this time, as the light fades, the tiny bird the same size as your four, no, five year old granddaughter is now massive! Its wingspan dwarfing everyone, even you still in your Berserker God form are only the size of around one of the bird's wings.

“KIIIIIRIIIIIIIIIN!!” it caws, the cry reverberating in your chest as it flaps its giant crystalline wings once, twice, three times. But you turn from the bird, watching your granddaughter's eyes light up.
“Woaaaaaah!! Look at you, you're all big!” she shouts, flying up to her friend's face, holding its beak in both hands and making eye contact before flying around it, the crystal creature looking itself over as well. “Soooo coool!”

You aren't sure what Mechikabura did, or how he did it, but he's made the tiny crystalline avian creature you'd gifted your granddaughter able to transform into a massive beast. “Wh-What did you do?” you telepathically ask Mechikabura, wondering how he was able to transform the creature like this. To which he answers, also telepathically as your granddaughter continues to fly around the beast.
“Was a simple matter, replicating that, oh, what did you call it? Primal? Yes, that.” he replies. “Accelerating it's growth temporarily to its strongest, or at least a stronger state. One that will allow it to protect her, should things not go well. Call this a precaution.”

“And the whole pose and activation keyword?” you ask, already knowing the answer. “Doesn't seem practical in an emergency.
“Something to appeal to her sensibilities. As one of the Crimson Demon clan, she has adopted their more... Eccentric tastes. But truly all she needs is to say the word while within earshot.” comes the reply as you power down before turning to see your granddaughter sitting atop the beast's back at the shoulders, Modoriiromoukin cawing once more before flapping its wings. Lifting off the ground as its wings unleash gale winds, flying into the air as you hear your granddaughter laughing excitedly.
“Go Modoriiromoukin, go!” she shouts, her giant crystal steed flying laps around the valley with surprising speed. It's nearly as fast as that strange alien being was in its swiftest form. Far faster than she herself can fly, her laughs echoing down into the valley as she rides.

“Seems she quite enjoys your gift, Mechikabura.” Chilli says, walking directly up to the demon god before bowing his head. His next words are muffled, too low for you to hear him, but Mechikabura waves him off casually. Also saying something you can't hear before the giant crystal beast descends, landing back in the center of the village. “Well? How is it?”
“This is great!” she exclaims, leaping off the giant bird's shoulders and flying to Mechikabura, giving the demon god a hug as well. As she does, you see his expression change. For just a moment, so swift you almost miss it, you see a look of genuine care and happiness for the child. One which doesn't even last a blink, Mechikabura putting back up his usual cool, calm mask where his emotions aren't readable. But for just a second, you saw behind it. And feel more confident than ever that he's not just using you and playing nice with your family. But that he genuinely does enjoy seeing your family happy.

“I am glad you like my gift, little one. But it is time for us to depart.” he replies, your granddaughter looking up in confusion.
“What? Really?” she asks, to which he nods. “Awww. Well, thanks for stopping by!”

Long enough to convey his farewell telepathically, going from you to your wife, to Freeza, to Chilli, and to Chaya before leaving through one of his dark portals. Taking the rest of the Time Patrol back with him, all except for Future Chaya and Ace.

“Alright, let's keep the party going!” your future timeline daughter exclaims, ready to celebrate. The festivities continue, you once again taking up post to watch over events as they unfold. Making sure nothing ELSE shows up to crash the party, until Freeza walks up to you. His expression a bit... Unsettled.
“Karn, what is it? Why are you over here, and not in the party?” he asks you, raising a brow at you. “Why are you over here all by yourself?”
“Best spot to keep watch.” you reply with a nod, Freeza turning. And, sure enough, from this spot you can see over the entire town square of the Crimson Demon Village, able to watch everything from this spot. So Freeza flies back to beside you, also resting his back and shoulders against the same wall you lean on. The silence stretches between you for several moments, neither speaking as you soak in the party just below.

Well? What else do you have to say? Will you break the silence, or let it go on?
>Ask him if he's sure he's going to keep going, if becoming the next Destroyer is really what he wants
>Tell him he's right, go with him back to the party and enjoy yourself. Worrying over what MIGHT happen won't change it, best to enjoy the moment
>Keep silent, Freeza clearly has something he wants to say but is unsure of how to say it. Pressuring him won't get him to open up, he has to find the words himself

You realize that Freeza has something he wants to say, but can't quite find the words. And you know, through your time together that pushing him won't get him to talk. Instead you have to wait, let him find the words in his own time. So you remain silent, watching over the party and your granddaughter enjoying herself as her Modoriiromoukin circles the village and valley overhead, clearly enjoying its newfound size as it flies with ease. The silence between you deepens for several minutes, until, finally, Freeza speaks up.

“So, how's your training been going?” he asks you.
“Well, I've been pushing my own gravity chamber up to 100x New Salda's gravity, high as it can go.” you tell him, seeing Freeza raise a brow in response. “And I've been working on a new technique or two. But other than that, the kids' various trainings are going well. They're all growing stronger by the day.”
“I see...” he replies, voice trailing off. Seemingly hoping that this would have led into the conversation he wants to have. Then, after a moment's silence he sighs out, turning from the village below to fully face you. “Look. There's something I want to ask you, Karn.”

“Of course. What is it?” you ask him, turning to meet his gaze. “What's going on?”
“It's, well... Pah. It sound so stupid when I say it aloud.” he says, shaking his head. But after a moment gets his thoughts in order, looking up to you. “Do you prefer training with me, or my brother? Be honest.”
“What? Where did this-?” you try and ask, but he's unrelenting.
“No, no questions. Who do you prefer to spar with? Me, or my brother?” he asks, something unreadable in his expression. Something that tells you this is more important to him than you'd thought, from your conversation before. So, you decide to be honest.

“Right now, after you left he's the strongest sparring partner I've got. And while not as skilled as you are, at least not yet, he isn't nearly as merciful when we fight.” you tell him. “I know you pulled back, you wouldn't exploit every opening you could get when we'd spar for the last year. When you'd hold back, he'd try and crush me, forcing me to be better.”
“I see.” he replies, taking a deep breath then sighing out. “Heh, look at me. Getting all jealous like a jilted lover. Must think I'm pathetic, huh?”

“Not at all. After all, I'm your first trainer.” you reply, Freeza looking up to you with an odd look in his eye. “Even though I didn't know he was then, I had similar feelings towards my own father. Wanting him to spend more time training me than the others. I get it. Don't worry about it.”

At this he sighs out in relief, the two of you sharing a laugh before he turns to you.

“C'mon, you can watch over your family just as well from within the party than from out here.” he says, you nodding and making your way back into the town square. Enjoying the party, eating and celebrating with the family and your son's allies as well as some of your daughter's classmates. The party lasts for well over another hour, before the other guests start to leave. Groups depart together, Ainz taking his group first, Rimuru shortly after. Then Beerus, with Whis and Freeza in tow depart as well, you and Freeza sharing a knowing nod before he vanishes, ki disappearing from the mortal realm once again. Then comes your own time to depart, wishing your granddaughter another happy birthday, Meloka Wolbach beaming happily.

“Love you grandpa.” she says, hugging you tight around the neck. Squeezing you tight, you holding onto her as well before saying farewell to your son Chilli and his wife and son, your daughter Milha and her girlfriend before departing. Returning to your own world, and back to your new normal schedule. Devoting your days to training, the only thing out of the ordinary happening two days after you return is Bardock and the team he was sent with returning to New Salda. But one full week into AGE 759, as you finish your supper and sigh out in content at the table, it happens.

But what? Which of these events happens first?

One moment you're enjoying a peaceful meal with your family, the next sense two massive powerlevels appearing behind you. Without a moment's thought rise, turning around only to watch as King Cold and Cooler suddenly appear, materializing out of thin air.

“Wh-King Cold? Cooler?” you ask, confused. It wasn't that long ago that Cooler had left, after your daily sparring session. But now for some reason he's returned, and with his father? This can't be good.
“Greetings, General Karn. It has been some time.” he says, you giving the true ruler of the PTO a proper Saiyan salute. Which he waves off casually, chuckling. “Oh, no need for that, this isn't some official business. I have just come to see how this city of yours has turned out.”

“I-I see.” you reply, unsure what else to say. And seeing your hesitation, he continues.
“Well, how about you give me the tour? I would be interested in seeing it in a bit more detail.”
“That shouldn't be a problem, I was just finishing up.” you reply, stepping back away from the table. “Let's go.”
“Excellent.” King Cold replies, he and his son following you as you lead them out of the mess hall, then out of your ship entirely to view the city. Instead of walking over, however, you lift up into the air. “Wait, where are you going?”

“Best to get the layout from above first, the layout can get a bit confusing without an overhead view to keep in mind first.” you tell him, King Cold nodding. He and his son then lift off into the air, following you as you lead them over to the city. First you lead them to the most recognizable landmark, the one closest to the forest and furthest from the rest of the city. Where, despite the late hour, several beings are gathered, two center stage below. “First of course, is the arena, where public disputes are handled. Even has some of Vox's cameras on it, the sturdier ones at least.”
“I see.” the king replies, watching as the two warriors below, two of your students who don't get along are once more going at at. Holding nothing back, but staying in their base forms as they give it all they've got. “A rather nice arena, quite a bit larger than the other one. Any reason for this?”
“Well, Galatea and I had a bit of a match here before construction on the arena started. And the entire crater here was turned into the arena.” you reply, watching as the two of them continue to do their best. Unleashing their mutual dislike upon each other. “Alright, let's keep moving.”

Turning from the arena, you continue showing King Cold around, showing him the communal barracks, the smaller apartment-style buildings, the individual homes, the small businesses like Silver's disciples' restaurant, ending at the admin building.

“And this is the administrative building, where the city's run from.” you tell them, gesturing down. “Where I go in the mornings to make sure everything's taken care of.”
“The mornings?” he asks, you nodding then elaborating.
“Yes, the staff working mornings are on the other city's timeline, so any issues or official matters are done on King Vegeta's time.” you tell them, dropping out of the air, landing on the steps. The two follow you, the guards at the doors immediately stand ramrod straight and throwing up Saiyan salutes. “So, this way I can handle any administrative work first thing.”

“I see.” he replies, seemingly thinking something over.

But what do you do?
>Ask what he thinks of your city, if there's anything 'wrong' with it that he can see

As he thinks, you decide to ask a question to both of them. One which, while it could be irritating, may provide valuable insight. You tell yourself to not take anything Cooler says to heart, taking a deep breath then asking them both.

“So, what do you both think?” you ask Cooler and King Cold. “I've never ran a city before, what do you think of it?”
“Not bad, for a monkey.” Cooler says snarkily, but you get the feeling his 'monkey' comment is more out of obligation than anything. When the two of you spar and you're getting the better of him, he does throw it out occasionally.
“Not bad? The design is quite efficient. Immaculate, even.” King Cold says, catching both you and Cooler by surprise, turning to him. “The layout of the city, how everything is interconnected, spaced appropriately and given enough room to breathe, it's the best-designed city I've ever seen.”

“What?!” Cooler exclaims, clearly shocked by his father's praise of the city.
“I'll tell King Vegeta IV you said that, he is the one who designed the layout. All I did was make the arena bigger, and live in my home instead of taking up residence in the administrative building. Leaving it for those who work there instead.”
“King Vegeta designed this, did he? Perhaps I'll pay him a visit, once I'm done here.” King Cold answers, stroking his chin as he thinks. “However, I do think that there are a few... Flaws, in your system here.”

“Really?” you ask, then gesture up the stairs into the administrative building. “Then how about we discuss this inside? Get your thoughts down to the whole admin team, or at least those up at this hour.”
“I think that would be a good idea.” King Cold replies, the three of you making your way up the stairs. The two guards, seeing you three coming immediately move to open the building, shoving the massive double doors open into the open room. You lead the pair deeper inside, back into the office where your team gather. Reaching the door you knock twice before opening it, your signal to let them know someone important has arrived. And as the door opens, you see the half dozen weaker Saiyans about their work, all turning and freezing in place when they recognize Cooler and King Cold of all people behind you. “Seems this form is too large for the doorway. One moment.”

And in a flash he shrinks down, taking on his fourth form. The one Freeza and Cooler spend most of their time in, the sleekest of their transformations.

“That's better.” he says, walking in without having to crouch or turn sideways to enter. “Good evening, everyone. Your general has given me a tour of your city, and there are a few... Adjustments, that could be made to perhaps increase efficiency that I would like to discuss.”

“Yes sir!” they all shout, rising to their feet and saluting him. They then move, rearranging the tables and workstations to form a giant oval table, leaving the head of the table open, as well as the seats directly to its right and left. King Cold naturally sits at the head, Cooler to his right and you take the seat to his left. And for the next ten minutes, King Cold lays out his observations. Some of which you agree with, others you don't, but by the end you've decided to implement several of his suggestions. One of which that was universally agreed upon was increasing signage, having the buildings themselves labeled from the outside. So that those who chose to visit and didn't know everyone, who couldn't sense who was inside the building to know who it was and what the building is for. And with that done, King Cold sighs out, placing his palms on the table.

“Very well. Thank you all for your time.” he says, pushing himself up to his feet. “This was quite the experience, I hope you all will continue to do excellent work in service to my son's empire.”
“Thank you sir!” all your administration staff say as one, all rising and saluting once more. He nods at their acknowledgement, then turns to face you. “I appreacite your time as well, General Karn. Give the family my regards, I'm off to speak with King Vegeta.”
“Or course. Anytime.” you reply, the two of you sharing a nod before he turns, going to head out of the building. You send a quick telepathic message to King Vegeta, warning him what's about to happen before turning to your team, thanking them for their efforts before turning to the door yourself, ending the mental link. But as you do, suddenly another mind reaches out to your own.

“Karn, I did it! And we've got a problem!” Arctus suddenly thinks to you. “I need backup, or we're gonna lose the data!”

Wasting no time, before the thought even fully registers your right hand is already to your forehead, focused on Arctus' ki through the link immediately use your Instant Transmission technique. Leaving your home behind, appearing directly before a familiar face. One who looks startled for a second, then grinning as it recognizes you.

“Saiyan.” the pale blue, almost white man creature says, lowering its outstretched hand. “We meet again.”
“You.” you reply, immediately taking your fighting stance before calling over your shoulder, keeping your focus on Rilldo. “You alright Arctus?”
“Be careful, he can control all of my machines here too!” Arctus warns you as the metal man's grin widens. “This entire place has become a death trap!”

“Sit back, I'll take care of it from here.” you tell Arctus, clenching your fists. And with a shout, transform. “HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Your emerald aura blazes, body swelling to its maximum size as you ascend into your Berserker God form. However, as you do, Rilldo charges forward, right fist drawn back. He swings for your face, which you duck while drawing your own right back. Then, stepping forward drive the full force of your arm, hips, legs and shoulders into the gut check. Your fist slamming into the metal man's guts, halting his charge completely and blasting him backwards. Sending the metal man on par with your own size flying, smashing into the metal wall. However, instead of blasting through it, his metal body seemingly turns liquid, merging with the wall.

“Wh-What the-?!” you exclaim, having forgotten its body is more liquid than solid, catching you by surprise. Only for your instincts to then warn you, leaping back as a giant fist the size of your torso shoots up out of the ground right where you'd been standing. “Tch!”
“Heh.” comes the reply, the fist and arm morphing back into Rilldo's body. “Time for payback, filthy Saiyan.”
“You're not getting away this time.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance. You feel your rage rising, anger burning to crush this being. It DARES survive you by running away, only to come back and come after your friends? This bastard dies today!

“Get away? No, I'm not leaving. Not without my builder's head.” Rilldo says, pointing past you at Arctus. No doubt to where your ally is holding the head, trying to keep it safe and out of Rilldo's clutches. “But I will make you a deal, monkey. Leave me the head, and I'll leave this world intact. I won't kill you both where you stand, and give you a whole year before I return to destroy this place.”
“Hmph. You really think you can stop me?” you reply, the bastard's confidence getting on your nerves. “I'm going to kill you for good this time.”

“Well, was worth a shot.” it replies, drawing its right fist back. You brace yourself, only for it to suddenly stomp down with its left foot, creating a massive left foot out of the metal floor that rises up to kick you. But it's too slow, as you're already moving forward. Closing the distance in a blink, deflecting it's follow-up heavy right with your left forearm past your shoulder, driving your right directly into its face. Followed up with a left uppercut to the guts into a clockwise spinning right elbow to the temple, staggering the metal man. Reversing your spin, you follow up the elbow with a left counterclockwise roundhouse kick, knocking the metal man off his feet. Causing him to spin in two and a half spins before landing flat on his face. Knocking the metal man down, you jump, drawing both legs up and stomping down at him with both heels directly at his neck. As you do, however, he melts himself into the metal floor, your double kick smashing a hole in the floor but missing the target.

“Arctus! Get to New Salda! NOW!” you shout, turning back towards him to see the metal man's hands rising from the ground, reaching up for the head in his hands. Arctus, seeing this coming leaps back, nodding to you and raising his right hand to his forehead.
“Oh no you don't!!” Rilldo shouts, stretching his arms towards Arctus. But as he does you draw your ki into your right hand's first two fingers, firing a Death Slash that cuts the arms off, causing the limbs to fall flat back to the floor. Giving Arctus time enough to escape, vanishing from his own world. Leaving only you and him alive on Arctus' planet full of machines and metal. “Grrrrr! You insolent-!”

“Ignorant ape! I will bathe this asteroid in your blood.” comes the response as Rilldo rises from the floor once more, jaw and fists clenched with barely-restrained fury. “Your death will not be pleasant, nor will it be swift.”
“And not by your hands either.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance. “But you're welcome to try, give it your best shot.”

The two of you face each other, staring one another down as you take in the barely-restrained fury on Rilldo's face. “Bring it on!” you shout, crossing your arms and activating your Energy Body. Aura blazing higher for a moment before condensing it around you into the familiar armor. Immediately Rilldo explodes off the ground, closing the distance and firing another heavy right at your guard. Taking the strike on your crossed arms you don't even budge, barely feeling his strike. Your Energy Body dampening the blow to the point you don't feel it. “Is that it?”
“Grrrr! HRRAAAAA!!” he roars, firing a barrage of heavy blows against your guard. His blows rain down, but you barely feel them, smirking at the metal being through your guard. “HRRAAAA! HAAAA! TRRYAAA! KYAAAH!”

“Come on, you were stronger last time we fought.” you continue to taunt, causing him to snarl, leaping back. Crossing his own arms before throwing them to the sides, aura blazing as his power soars. Rising up to full power, yet knowing he was the Champion of his world before it was destroyed, he's still not going to be as strong as the last time you'd fought him. So you continue standing there, watching as he charges up then flies in. Swinging an energy-clad right once more into your guard, his ki detonating against your armor. Yet, even with his boosted power and detonating punch, his attack still can't pierce your armor. Over and over he charges up his attacks, swinging his heavy explosive punches into your guard. But as his attacks continue to not work you lower your guard, letting his heavy strikes directly hit your armored chest. Over and over he swings, his punches exploding yet not strong enough to harm you through your Energy Body. And with a final right uppercut to the guts, punch exploding a final time, he looks up to see his strike was completely ineffective. “Was that your best?”

“There's no.... No way.” Rilldo says, staggering back in clear surprise. “No effect?!”
“If that was your best, you'd better start begging for mercy.” you tell him, taking a deep breath in as you ready yourself to go on the attack. “Not that you'll get it, but you can beg.”
“No, not like this. I won't-!” he shouts, then drawing his head back your instincts suddenly scream that you're in danger. “BWAAAAAAAAA!!”

And with a roar he fires a crackling bright green beam of energy, more closely resembling lightning than a beam as it flashes towards you. And before you can react, it strikes your Energy Body. Which, to your horror, transforms.

“What the-?!” you exclaim as your shielding ki is transformed into metal, encasing you within a liquimetal prison. “Tch! HAAAAAAA!!”

You roar, unleashing more energy to blast the liquid metal off of you, only for you to see Rilldo taking advantage of the opening, closing in and swinging a heavy right directly into your face. Where you feel your nose break, crunching from the force of the blow as he sends you flying back. Smashing back-first into the wall, leaving you embedded in the bent metal.

“Weak THIS!” he shouts, dashing in once more and swinging another heavy right at you. Seeing him coming you bring your arms up, blocking the strike with your crossed guard. The force of his blow smashes you the rest of the way through the wall, leaving the unfamiliar room behind and knocking you out into what looks like a factory. Three large conveyer belts move dozens of B1 battle droids through the assembly lines, efficiently putting together the cheap defenders as you flip through the air, coming to a stop as you reorient on the hole he'd punched you through. Rilldo not immediately emerging and continuing the chase. Perhaps waiting to see if you're going to reactivate your armor?

“Tch!” you seethe through clenched teeth, wiping your bleeding nose on the back of your left hand. Bastard got you good, you'd forgotten he could do that. But as you hover there, chest heaving slightly, you remember that you're not fresh, your body exhausted from a day's hard training as your left hand trembles slightly. If this fight drags out too long, you might be in trouble. You could even lose!

But what now? What do you do?
>Rush in and attack with your Djem So, crush him with your superior power and technique
>Rush in and Su Ma, don't let him touch you while attacking from all sides
>Keep your distance and use your energy attacks, try and find a lethal shot
>Rush in and unleash your Juyo technique, unleash your newest attacking form and see what kind of damage you can do to him
>Telepathically reach out to Chilli, explain what Rilldo is and can do before seeing if he has any way to defeat this thing quickly
>You can apologize for destroying everything later, get in close and grab Rilldo, then destroy it with a full power Red Dawn. You'll use everything you've got left, but it just might work
>Telepathically call Meloka and Towa, tell them what's going on and that you need help

“Dammit.” you exhale, focusing your mind on reaching out. Not to the metal man who sent you through the wall, not to Arctus who you hope escaped to a safer place with that data. But to your wife, and to Towa, connecting your mind with theirs as you think to them. “I may be in a bit of trouble here. Rilldo's back.”
“Ah, I was wondering when he'd resurface. Tried to stop Arctus from cracking Myuu's skull open, I take it?” comes Towa's reply, even before your wife could respond, surprisingly enough. “How long can you hold out?”

“How long do you need?” you reply, wondering to yourself what she's planning.
“Two minutes. Three, tops.” Towa replies. “Think you can do it?”
“Yeah, I can hold out for that long.” you answer, once more activating your Energy Body. Only for Rilldo, from within that one room fires his metal-transforming beam again. “Whatever you're planning, I hope it can stop-”

“BAAAAAAAH!!” he roars, the green lightning-like energy streaking towards you, forcing you do drop the link and focus on the battle at hand. Dodging the shot by dashing to your left, you narrowly avoid the metallizing attack. His beam crackles past you, striking somewhere off a few dozen yards away, but you keep your focus on Rilldo. Who continues his attack by firing beam after beam, trying his best to hit you with that attack. But the attack itself is too slow, and from so far away it is near-effortless to dodge in the air. Something Rilldo himself realizes, blasting towards you with his energy gathered in both fists. “Don't you run from me!”

“Now THAT'S more like it!” you shout, stopping your retreat and dashing in. Meeting Rilldo fist-to-fist, his explosive punch detonating against your Energy Body-clad right, stopping him in his tracks. He then draws back his left, swinging it at you as well. Which you match with a left of your own, the two of you starting to swing over and over, unleashing a barrage of heavy blows. Each one Rilldo throws you match, the two of you going punch for punch for a score of swings, until he suddenly catches your right with his left, swinging his own right. Which you also catch, the two of you suddenly in a contest of raw power. Pushing against one another, only for Rilldo to smirk, his body turning a bit more liquid and running over both your hands, trapping you in place. “Wha-?”

“Now you can't run!” Rilldo exclaims, throwing his mouth wide and firing another beam at you. “BWAAAAAAAA!!”
“SHIT!” you exclaim, throwing your upper body back, narrowly evading the energy. You see it crackle mere inches from you, then with a snarl drive both of your heels up into Rilldo's chest. Kicking him off of you and sending him flying straight to the factory ceiling.

Once more he hits the metal ceiling, splatting against it and merging his liquimetal body with the metal of the factory, disappearing from sight.

“Dammit.” you pant, trying to catch your breath. Even though it was only a few moments of high-exertion, after everything you've been through at the end of a day of training you're pushing your limits. If you were fresh this guy wouldn't be a problem, but as tired as you are you can't beat him. Not like this. You need something else, something to make the difference. Some way to put him down for good. Only for his laugh to start echoing out, you looking around the factory trying to find the source, wondering where Rilldo has run off to?
“What's wrong, ape? Can't track my movements?” he asks, his voice coming from everywhere and nowhere simultaneously. Your eyes go back and forth across the factory, but with all the moving parts drawing your attention from the corners of your eyes, you can't find the metal being. “What's the matter, you're looking tired. Do you need a break? Perhaps a banana or two, monkey?”

“Keep talking.” you mutter under your breath, only for your instincts to suddenly scream at you. You're not sure why, what you're sensing until suddenly you dash to your left, narrowly dodging another metallizing beam fired at your back. “Tch!”

Twisting around you ready yourself for a second beam, but wherever he'd fired from, he's already moved on. Glancing back and forth, you still can't find him, not even with your ki sense can you find him as his energy is seemingly coming from all around you. But then, suddenly you sense not only Towa and Meloka, but also Chilli's ki appearing behind you. Looks like they're about to arrive.

“BAAAAAAAA!!” Rilldo shouts from several directions at once, firing several blasts at you simultaneously. All the attacks are heading not only at you, but also at your about-to-arrive family. They won't have time to defend themselves, you have to do something in this split-second you have before they arrive and the attacks reach you.

Well? How do you overcome this?
>Fire off a powerful Explosive Wave, unleash your power to stop the attacks short
>Activate your Barrier, expand it out wide enough to protect your family and intercept all the attacks

“BARRIER!” you exclaim, throwing your arms wide as you end your Energy Body, expanding your ki out from you. Stretching it out to form a solid sphere of ki, your energy hardening once more just as the attacks strike. The beams all hit your ki shield simultaneously, transforming it from energy to a more liquid metal at the same instant your family all teleport in.
“Karn!” Meloka exclaims, your wife going to rush towards you but immediately stopping, recognizing the situation as the sphere of metal starts to condense around the four of you. So she crosses her arms, throwing them out and unleashing her ki with a shout. Blasting away the contracting liquimetal sphere, Explosive Wave launching it all away from the four of you. Sending the liquid metal flying, revealing the four of you to Rilldo, wherever he is hiding. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just. Tired.” you say between breaths, only for a deep, rumbling chuckle to come from the factory all around you all.

“Calling for reinforcements, eh monkey? One monkey, two monkey, three monkey, four. It doesn't make a difference how many apes gather, you are all going to DIE!!” Rilldo roars, his face suddenly shooting out from the ceiling. The size of an Oozaru's face, he closes in, releasing another metal beam with a bellow. “HAAAAAA!!”
“Hmph.” Towa exhales, raising her Godslayer spear and beam of dark, lightning-like energy up into his green energy. The two energies clash, only for Towa's energy to envelop Rilldo's own, traveling up his attack towards him. Seeing this coming he ends the attack, her energy enveloping the attack in its entirety before vanishing. “I'll be taking this, to study for later. Thank you for your donation.”
“Tch! Hrrrrr! HAAAAAAAA!!” Rilldo roars, face shifting to a massive fist, swinging down at you all. Only for Meloka to ascend in a flash, transforming to Super Saiyan Blue and rising up, catching the massive fist in both hands. Stopping his attack in place, keeping the swing from crushing the four of you with apparent ease. “What?!”

“Really hun? You've been pushing yourself too hard, if this guy's power is enough to give you a challenge.” your wife admonishes gently, blazing her aura and shoving the large fist back. Sending the liquimetal arm back up into the ceiling, where Rilldo's form vanishes once more. “Wait, what?”
“He can disappear into other metal.” you warn, chest still heaving as Towa turns to Chilli. “It's your turn. Take him out.”
“Of course.” your son replies, immediately flying down to the floor. You all follow him, Chilli placing both hands on the ground as he fires off his spell. “Crystal Magic: Paledrake's Lair!”

And from his palms, your son's unique pale blue crystals start expanding out. Covering every surface, spreading from the point you all are standing on out across the entire floor.

“What is this?” Rilldo's voice calls out from all around you all, Towa laughing smugly at his confusion. “What are you doing?”
“Denying you your advantage, of course.” Towa answers as your son's crystals have now covered the entire floor of the large assembly line room, now beginning to rise up over the walls and the machines mounted on the ground. “Once imprisoned within Chilli here's crystals, you will be trapped within whichever metal you are hiding in. Forever trapped, unable to escape as his crystals can even contain gods.”
“What?!” comes the reply, clearly terrified. Looks like Towa's bluff worked, as a moment later the entire ceiling transforms, resembling Rilldo's face and body as it leans down, swinging at you all with two massive fists. Or, rather, directly at your son instead of all of you.

“HAAAAA!!” Meloka shouts, her godly aura blazing as she shoots up off the ground, going to intercept the giant metal right fist. You copy her, doing the same and going for the left one. However, as the fist slams into you it transforms, turning more liquid than solid. Trying to overwhelm you like a wave, knocking you back towards the ground. But you don't let him past, unleashing some of the last of your energy with a roar.
“HRRAAAA!” you bellow, Explosive Wave blasting the wave of liquid metal back, keeping it from washing over you and your family below. Meloka does the same on her side, both of you stopping the two fists only for Rilldo's 'real' body to dash down between you, shooting straight down towards Chilli. You look back down desperately, but before you can shout a warning Towa steps forward. Ascending to her Demon God form in a flash.

“Wrong move.” she says, flourishing the spear before leaping up off the ground. Closing the distance in an instant, her speed clearly surprising the metal man. Who can't react before she swings, her blade passing right through him. Bisecting Rilldo, from left shoulder down through the groin and out of his right thigh, flying through the opening the two halves of his body make dropping. Causing the two halves of him, stunned by her attack, to crash to the crystal-covered ground in heaps. Towa, once past him stops her upwards flight, once more flourishing the spear before sitting on it and bringing her left hand to her mouth as she laughs. “Ohohoho, and now it has cost you everything. You're already dead.”

“Wh-What did you-!” he exclaims, watching in shock as his body begins disintegrating into motes of light where her magical sword spear's blade cut him. Both halves start to disintegrate as Rilldo tries to push himself up, clearly intent on regenerating himself, only for the injury to not heal. But instead get worse, the magical slash's effect spreading. Clearly going to consume his entire form. “No, no! I can't die not here! Not yet!”

But with half a body he doesn't give in, exploding off the ground towards the ceiling. Dashing past Towa who, with her eyes closed doesn't see him go past her. Clearly trying to run, to escape and prevent his own death by merging his metal with something, ANYTHING else to expand his body, to keep him alive.

But what do you do?

“Meloka! Don't let him escape!” you call, your wife turning to you, then looking up. Immediately understanding, she blasts out of the still-dropping slime punch to chase Rilldo down. But as she does, the attack she was holding back continues dropping straight towards your son. So you fire a blast from your left hand, repelling the one you're holding back while allowing it to blast you down to the crystal-covered ground by your son, raising your right and firing a second wave at the attack Meloka abandoned to pursue Rilldo. “HAAAAAA!!”

Ki explodes from your outstretched palm, the wave of destructive power surging through the air and slamming into the second attack. Expanding your energy, your twin Energy Waves slam into the two, repelling them and keeping the washing waves of metal back away from your son. However, at the same time, looking past it you see your wife blitzing past the half a man, azure divine ki blazing as she gathers her ki into both hands overhead. Only for Rilldo, in desperation to open his mouth once more, firing his metallizing green beam directly at her. To which she swings her energy down, the beam turning her ki into metal. But then, to your shock Meloka shoves the transforming ball into Rilldo, sending him and her transformed attack both back down. Crashing through hanging crystal droids, smashing into a conveyor belt and through it down to the ground by you and Chilli.

“No, I can't-! I won-!” Rilldo says, only for the disintegration from Towa's Godslayer to finally expand over his face, erasing his mouth as it severs his neck. The top part of his head falling to the ground as it dissolves into nothing, the rest of his body doing the same shortly after as Chilli's crystals rapidly cover the metal 'fists' from the ceiling as well. Your son sighs out in relief, you ending your own beams and sighing out as well, dropping to your hands and knees. Chest heaving as you struggle to catch your breath, exhaustion making your vision waver.
“You alright Dad?” Chilli asks you, walking over and placing a hand on your shoulder. “You okay?”

“Yeah, I'm. Just. Exhausted.” you tell him aloud through heavy breaths, wife and Towa dropping down to you as well. Your wife gets under you, pressing her back to your chest and holding your arms, flying up in the air while holding you. Helping you get upright, leaning on her for support and slumping over her. “Thanks hun.”
“Of course.” your wife says as, a moment later, Arctus returns. And he's not alone, accompanied by Cooler and King Cold, as well as King Vegeta IV.
“You all need to see this.” King Vegeta says, and from his expression realize that, whatever data is on that head, this news isn't good.

Wherever it moves too, with spacenet still active, someone would notice the difference on spacechan's /x/.

The Namekian people wouldn't forgive you, unless someone is literally mid-wish. Even then, they know you can teleport across space and chose killing him over stopping the threat.
>>6155320
>Hell, he might even be the one to suggest it himself.
Were this a case, the namekian people would be LESS upset, but still not happy with you.

Besides, King Cold has a plan.

>Wherever it moves too, with spacenet still active, someone would notice the difference on spacechan's /x/.

>so i was doing my monthly astronautical chart reviews to see which moons were in retrograde above the planets in sector 405 to predict when the next moonman sighting would be to stop the gloknard para-reality invasion in our dreamscapes (don't worry if you put up the protective crystals like i told you to) and i noticed one of the green planets was missing????? so i tracked it down, i think someone played a prank and moved it, anyway, we're still good, no gloknards
Fuckin' space chan. Tracked a guy down once just because he was eating beans next to a closed window on a planet with a blue star using one frame of half of a digit on the alarm clock just out of sight. Unreal.

We don't kill Allies and Friends, that is the biggest theme of our relationship with Mechi.

>>6155453
Ha, quite possibly. Or perhaps one has seen something... Else, beyond the veil.
>>6155549
Very true. Karn will do literally everything in his power to save his people and those he cares for. Only as a last resort and only if the other person asks, Karn wouldn't kill an ally. He is nothing if not loyal.

That's still just spacechan, autism so hard they fall into actual future sight. Then use it to steal blueprints for weapons to one up another autist calling him a faggot.

Kek. But that's the beautiful part. Arctus developed a sensor that would detect the extradimensional energy of the motherboxes, and instead of using millions of PTO credits, instead leaked the documents online himself, with several different modifications depending on where he leaked them. But they all had the same purpose, to amplify the radiation of Darkseid's dimension whenever his Boom Tubes would appear so his central scouter would pick it up immediately. And people would go out and build these machines themselves, instead of using central PTO govt funds. Arctus is a crafty bastard, one only someone like Rilldo can no-sell with his mastery over metal. Even broke his lightsaber immediately, the fight carried on for quite a bit before Arctus called for reinforcements and Karn arrived.

Good one.
>Ready to see what Rilldo was fighting so hard to keep you from seeing?
Yes.
>Did you relish having allies to come save you in your time of need, having others who you can rely on
It is very nice that Karn has such good allies to call for help.
>instead of shouldering the entire burden on your own?
I was tempted to vote for an attempt to use Divine Dragon Force, but if the dice roll would fail it could put Karn in a situation where he is too close to death.

No. He is THE terrifying glowie. He built the spacenet.
Which is why I had the artist capture that essence in the piece.
Glad to hear. This arc's starting a bit slow, but act 2's gonna slap.
DDF may or may not have answered the call. But for now Karn assumes it still out of commission.
Absolutely. But if one in ten million believe him, that's enough coverage for 78% of the 'civilized' universe.
Rilldo was a tough opponent for the technomancer Arctus

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 230 Epilogue-

AGE 796, FUTURE EARTH

“Dammit! I WILL avenge you, mom.” you think to yourself, mind ablaze with hatred and sorrow, loss and rage, pain and determination as you run. Proverbial tail tucked between your legs as the remains of your adoptive mother Bulma's lab is obliterated by that monster behind you. Tears streaking down your cheeks, unable to keep them in, you can do nothing more than run. That monster Black keeps destroying the area, focusing on the buildings closest to her lab. Clearly thinking you'd tried taking refuge there and not running further. Or perhaps sending a message as you, without looking back, keep suppressing your power so you can't be found while running. Fleeing towards the abandoned Capsule Corp headquarters you both once called home.

“I will do it, mom. No matter what it takes, I'll save everyone and avenge you.” you mutter, turning down a dark alley, sticking to the shadows as you keep heading towards your goal. If you could risk flying, it would only take a few seconds at full speed. But with Black in the area, actively causing destruction you don't dare. Holding the final hope for your time to your chest, clutching the last chance for your timeline's survival. If you can't make it to the past, to get their help, then everything she fought for, her sacrifice would have been for- “No. Stop. Think positive, like Mom taught you. You can't give in, you can't give up. Everyone's counting on you.”

As you slip through the darkness, making your way towards the large Capsule Corp building, the world around you starts spinning. Your stomach growls in pain, reminding you haven't eaten in several days. Forcing you to drop in exhaustion down to a knee, panting in exhaustion.

“Dammit, no. Not yet. I can't. Give. Up.” you mutter, clutching the precious fuel to your chest. But with your body in this condition, you're not going to make it. You're going to have to make a short detour, to somewhere closer to get a meal and recover before finishing the trip. Shaking it off you force yourself up, changing course. Instead of heading directly to Capsule Corp, you instead head to the one man you can trust. His home is between here and there, if you can make it he'll help you. So, you forcibly keep moving, stumbling down the darkened back alleyways and through ruined buildings. Slowly making your way to his home, barely managing to make it to his door. “Please, be home. Please.”

Raising a shaking hand, you gently knock, six taps in a certain pattern. And almost immediately the door opens, you seeing his familiar, kind face.

“B-Barry.” you manage to get out before the last of your strength gives out, your body slumping forward.
“Marron? What are...?” he starts, expression turning from confusion to concern as upi fall. Immediately he reaches out, catching you as you fall forward into his embrace. “C'mon, you must be exhausted.”

Leaving his front door open, he helps bring you into his home, carrying you deeper inside, laying you down on his bed. Only then does he seem to notice the container in your arms, eyes widening.

“Is that-?” he asks, you nodding tiredly. He sighs in relief, visibly relaxing a moment before remembering something, turning and quickly heading from the room. You lay there, room spinning around and around as you drift in and out of consciousness. It's impossible to tell how long you lay there, mind only focusing once he comes back, shutting the door to his small bedroom behind him. Opening your eyes, you see him carrying a small, dark-colored duffel bag, setting it on the ground and opening it up.
“What's that?” you ask him, Barry grinning that boyish smile of his as he holds up the opened can.
“It's not gourmet, but its still some edible food.” he says, offering you the canned meat. “Help yourself, I already ate.”

“Marry me.” you say, accepting the can with one hand, then gently setting the canister on the bed right beside you, touching your thigh as you start digging in. You inhale the food despite it's taste, forcing it down and taking the valuable calories and nutrients in. It takes you less than a minute to eat it, sighing out in relief as you smile. “Thanks Barry.”
“Of course. So, Bulma did it, huh?” he asks, eyes going from you back to the container. But then his brows furrow, turning back to you. “But where is she? I thought she'd be coming with you to send you off.”

At this you freeze, once more seeing in your mind what happened to her. How that bastard Black mercilessly murdered her in cold blood, the bastard. Once more the tears begin to flow, lip trembling as you try to keep the tears in. But Barry, your longtime friend sees this, standing up and walking over to you. Taking your head and pressing it to his chest, you clutch desperately to him as you start crying. Unable to contain your emotions any longer, crying into his chest. Silently Barry holds you, letting you cry without judgment or comment for over a minute until you've cried yourself out.

“Feeling better?” he asks once your tears stop, you pulling your face back and wiping your eyes before mustering a weak smile for him.
“Y-Yeah. Thanks, Barry. For everything.” you say, the two of you sharing a knowing nod as you reach over, grabbing the time machine fuel canister and pulling it up to your chest once more. “But we can't waste any more time, I have to get to Capsule Corp. This is our last chance.”
“Right. Let's go.” he says, offering you a hand. Which you take, Barry pulling you up to your feet. “No time to waste.”

Together you head to the door, both waiting as he looks to you. Clearly waiting for a signal, you giving the all clear a moment later before taking off. You head out, Barry close behind and watching your back. For the next hour the two of you creep ever closer to Capsule Corp, sticking to the shadows as you head back towards you home. Or, rather, former home, having been forced into hiding by that monster. With your senses on high alert the entire time, you avoid the areas Black is devastating, making your way all the way to the massive dome building you'd once called home.

“There it is.” you mutter, looking across what was once a street and the lawn, the majority of Capsule Corp's dome still intact. It still has some damage, but thankfully it still seems intact. “Let's go.”
“Right behind you.” Barry replies, the two of you sprinting across the open field to the wide-open broken window on the first floor. Rushing to it, only to freeze as you grab onto the window frame. It's too late, he's here.

Turning, you look and see the clouds forming a cyclone, a dark vortex descending towards you both. Immediately you hand the fuel canister over to Barry, drawing your sword.

“Go, now!” you tell him as the clouds descend, Black dropping towards the ground and you both. Immediately you take your sword in both hands, sprinting several steps towards where he's dropping. You see Black gather energy in her hand, firing it towards you. Which you dodge easily, channeling your ki into your blade and firing a slashing energy strike at the clouds. Black easily dodges your attack, firing a barrage of her dangerous energy blasts. Which you deflect with your blade, each one detonating a second after being knocked aside. The collective shock wave knocks you back down to the ground, landing on your feet as the flames of her attacks rage.

Only for her silhouette to emerge from the flames, eyes burning with hate as Black gathers energy into one hand, swinging it for your head to kill you instantly. Swinging up with your sword, you intercept the attack, only for it to detonate, sending you flying one way and your sword in another. Black rises back up into the air with the rising smoke, as a voice calls your name.

“MARRON!!” Barry calls, running over to you. Still holding the canister in both arms.
“What are you doing? I told you to GO!” you shout, desperation in your voice as he reaches you, thrusting the canister into your chest.
“Stop trying to save me and THINK! I have to stay here, you have to go. You're our last hope!” he shouts to you, eyes alight with fear and determination. “Go, I'll buy you time.”

“Barry, wait!” you call, wincing in pain as you try and stand. Only for Barry to sprint forward, drawing a pair of large bored pistols from his back, raising both and firing a barrage of ineffective shots towards the monster who ruined your world.
“Get down here and fight me!!” he roars, emptying both guns after firing all fourteen rounds then throwing the guns themselves, throwing his arms wide. “You want me, come and get me!”
“BARRY NO!” you shout, pushing yourself up to a knee only for Black to smirk maliciously, not even bothering to fly down but firing a single ki blast. One that is too fast for him to dodge, striking him right in the chest. “BARRY!!!”

You watch, helplessly as yet another person you cared for has their life carelessly, needlessly erased, Barry's body disappearing inside the fiery blast. As it fades, leaving Barry's smoking corpse on the ground you look up, sadness and fury overwhelming you. Only to see Black standing atop a pillar of rubble, the fires spreading below to illuminate her face. Revealing Black, wearing the face of your long-dead mother staring directly at you, grinning that evil, wicked grin that doesn't match your mother.

“You monster! You killed him!” you shout, the evil being's malicious grin widening.
“It's about time, Saiyan. You've been running around making messes for too long, and now I'm going to choke the life out of you.” Amaya Black says, looking down on you arrogantly. “I can't wait to watch you die!”

I think it is good that Karn is pushing himself this hard. He is really not slacking so he can be ready when Freeza returns much stronger than last time because of training with Whis.

Very good epilogue. Zamasu is hiding inside of a body of a person Karn would normally want to protect. This makes this situation even worse.
