Welcome back. We're back. Sorry for the long hiatus but life got a bit hectic there.Rules are simple: Votes are tallied every hour, with whatever course of action being the most popular being the course of action taken. Write ins are encouraged and non-mutually exclusive votes will be combined if possible. When a roll is called for, roll however many D100 are specified. 5- is a 'crit fail' and generally means something bad is about to happen. 95+ is a 'crit success' and generally means something good just happened. a 'crit success' trumps a crit fail. User input on both will be taken into consideration.Inventory, pokemon stats and other links: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15i2N08IpWqitoTJujsUMishe4PLbao1lqT-bCAmvPcE/editDiscord: https://discord.gg/v8nRWG4pFor a short summary for the new and to recap:You are Alex. A newly minted trainer and camping enthusiast just starting out on your journey at the age of seventeen after your father lost his job in order to help pay the bills. On the road, you met Fie, the Fire Gym Leader, Gareth a novice Aura Guardian on pilgrimage and Holly, a runaway heiress using a pseudonym. You've also made enemies of Team Green a group of violent, radical activists looking to abolish pokemon training.Recently, Fie returned to her gym for the time being.Last time, you caught a Mudkip, made it to the roadhouse and won a friendly one on one battle with Fie's dad.
There's a rattle behind you."?" You pause and turn back in time to see one of the washing machines settling, as if it had just been rocking. You frown. It wasn't one that was in use when you walked in and none of the others went near it.Perhaps its the Team Green shenanigans lately, but you're suddenly suspicious.>Check it out.>Go get your pokemon.>Ask the nurse if there've been any issues lately.>Other
>>6184319>Go get your pokemon.>Check it out.Get a pokeball ready if we don't have one.
>>6184319>Check it out.No idea this came back.
>>6184331>>6185752You fumble through your bag for a poke ball, before edging towards the washing machine. When you're right next to it, you can tell it's clearly off, but it is rocking gently as though from nerves. It doesn't look any different from the other machines, but if you were to guess, there's either something inside the drum...Or the machine itself. You nod to yourself before you head out to the main room and wave the nurse over and explain what's going on.She scowls."Bloody Rotom..." She grumbles. "Some idiot released it here because 'it wasn't competitive' and it's been a nuisance ever since. If you catch it, I'll scare up some sort of reward for you." She says. "I'd hurry though, it likes to move around and cause havoc." She warns. To you, that sounds like you have time to grab one member of your team and get back there.Present Team:Rascal (Braviary)Nika (Riolu)Piker (Feebas)Volta (Luxray) Fluffy (Eevee) EverstoneRusty (Aron)
>>6186070>Volta (Luxray)
>>6186070>Go, VoltaWe're so back. Thanks for running man.
>>6186187>>6186329You give it a moment's thought and settle on Volta. If it is a Rotom, then she's the best bet you've got with you right now, both in terms of defense and in terms of pinning it down if it's possessing the washing machine.Hopefully, you can catch it before it makes a mess of the laundry. That in mind, you hurry on back to the laundry and cautiously approach the washing machine again.>Open it.>Get Volta to open it.>Try lure Rotom out with food.>Other
>>6186329No worries. Apologies for the delay, had some stuff to do.I picked this name for a reason.
>>6187926>Try lure Rotom out with food while Volta opens it.>>6187927I think I can speak for everyone when I say we're grateful you've been continuing this quest.

Rolled 55 (1d100)>>6188968
>>6188988>>6189140>>6189713You hesitate for a moment, before shaking out a small amount of poke food on the tiles. The nurse might want Rotom dealt with, but she would probably rather not deal with a flood or the laundry being turned upside down if she didn't have to, so might as well try and do this quietly. You back off and wait, hoping that Rotom hasn't gotten bored and gone elsewhere.A minute passes by agonisingly slowly before at length, a ghostly orange and blue cube detaches from the washing machine and descends on the food.>Wait. Let it eat.>Go, Volta.>Throw a poke ball.>Other
>>6191636>Wait. Let it eat.Build up some trust first. Then we can gently get out a pokeball and catch it. Sort of like how we caught Fluffy.
>>6191636>Wait. Let it eat.
>>6191636Funny way to see it by the way. I always pictured Rotom forms to "synergize" with the haunted machines, thus why they lose the Ghost type
>>6191874Whoops, my bad.I never really bother with Rotom, so I wasn't aware that's how that worked.
>>6191876Well, don't be sorry. Your quest, your rules, your take.
>>6191651>>6191873>>6191874After a moment's thought, you decide to wait and see if the Rotom is willing to give up without a fight.Rotom isn't a particularly elegant eater, scooping up the food with its pipe... hand? Tail? You're not sure, and shoveling it into its mouth before floating closer to you expectantly.>Hold out the poke ball.>Go, Volta.>Give Rotom more food.>Other

>>6199091>>6199111>>6199466Cautiously, you retireve a poke ball, which to your surprise, Rotom then taps before disappearing inside before the ball clicks, then vanishes."...Well alright then." You say, non-plussed.You sweep up the crumbs of the food you left out before you head back and tell the nurse about your success."Nice job." She says, impressed. "I can't fix you up for that right this second, but come see me a bit later and I'll see what I can scrape together."You nod, before handing Volta back over to the nurse and look around for the others.>Go call home and see if Mum can't take care of Rotom.>Go get some food.>Meditate with Gareth.>Other

Still need one more roll.
Rolled 50 (1d100)>>6204201If none else will then I'll give it a go.
>>6203426>>6203560>>6204432You quickly track the others down and find them enjoying a late lunch.A meat pie and sauce doesn't sound like much, but after the long day's walk, the smell is making your mouth water."Hey, what took you?" Martha asks as you sit down next to Gareth."There was a Rotom in the laundry. Just caught it for the nurse." You explain."D'you plan on keeping it?" Gareth asks curiously."I'm not sure yet." You admit. "I just thought it was a bit mean to go beating up on it when all it's after is some company. Apparently, its previous trainer basically threw it away because it's not well-suited to battle." You explain."Bastard." Gareth spat."It's really sad exactly how dickish some people can be." Martha says sadly, shaking her head.Holly nods in agreement, her mouth too full to speak just then.Considering the sauce on her face and the meat she's spilled on her jacket, you get the distinct impression she is really enjoying herself right now."Leaving that for later though, want to meditate for a bit after this?" You ask Gareth as you dig into your own pie.He brightens."Yeah, actually that's not a bad idea." He agrees.(Part 1)
>>6205608The pie hits the spot and once you have your pokemon back, you head outside with Gareth and release Nika to join you, while Gareth releases his own Riolu. You settle down under the verandah and lean back against the wall and slowly drift into that trancelike state.Gareth and his Riolu are right there next to you, but Nika’s sat in your lap and as the moments pass and your awareness expands, Gareth and his partner and all the other auras in the area recede until it’s just you and Nika.Slowly, a scene resolves itself around you, like a negative of the world at large and Nika stands up and runs out into the arena. You follow and after a moment, you find yourself facing Gareth across the arena.“...Is that you?” You ask at length.“It’s me.” Gareth confirms with a nod, then shakes his head. “I never would have figured you’d get to the point you could project like this so quickly.” He admits. “You’re just full of surprises.”“Thanks.” You reply, sheepishly. “So… what do we do now?” You ask.“Well…” Gareth says after a moment’s thought. “Nika should be just about ready to start battling by now, right? She’s about a week old and that’s normally about when Lucario tend to allow their pups to follow them on hunts.”"Yeah?" You ask."Yeah, so how about a battle?" Gareth offers. "Just to give Nika a feel for it. She can't get hurt here, since this is technically in all our heads.">That sounds like a good idea. Nika and your Riolu then, since they'll basically be rough housing?>...Maybe this isn't a good idea...>Other

Gareth confirms.Shortly, he's joined by his Riolu and after a brief exchange in which, he outlines what you're doing, his Riolu assumes a mark, even as Nika looks around curiously. You beckon her over and lay your hands on her shoulders."Okay, we're going to spar a bit." You say. "Don't worry, you're not going to get hurt, just do your best." You add, patting her head. She nods, before turning and wandering back to the center of the arena with no real sense of urgency."Alright, now gently." Gareth says to his own Riolu, who nods and runs at Nika with the most telegraphed movements you've seen a pokemon make.It occurs to you as Nika runs at her older counterpart, that you can't remember her moves off the top of your head.>...Uh...>Just do your best!>Guess.>Other

Gareth replies.Nika darts in as Riolu braces... only for Nika to miss completely and go tumbling across the ground, prompting Riolu to turn and trot over and help her up.You let out a breath, both at seeing that Gareth's Riolu is such a good sport and that Nika is unharmed."Okay, now just keep it up." Gareth says.Nika glances back at you and you nod encouragingly.Gareth's Riolu indicates back to where Nika was standing as he heads back to his own mark.>Roll.

>>6209343>>6209356>>6209448>>6209451"Uh... Hi Jump Kick!" You say, recalling seeing that move on her stat tab."Same as last time, Riolu - Counter, nice and gentle." Gareth says. You can feel his amusement right now and you feel doubly awkward at your not being able to recall Nika's moves off the top of your head.Nika meanwhile jumps up, turns a very neat flip and comes down in a very good looking axe kick, which Gareth's Riolu catches as she lands, before throwing her in a very slow and exaggerated fashion which lets her catch herself when he lets her go and catch her balance."Great job." You say to Nika, giving her a thumbs up when she looks to you for approval."You're both doing great." Gareth agrees."Same with you and your little guy." You say.Considering that this is essentially a shared vision right now, it's relatively easy to see that Gareth's Riolu is much more experienced with fighting than Nika is and you get the distinct impression that he's got a lot of experience with sparring with younger Riolu in particular with how he is with Nika. You could probably do this for real and the outcome would be basically the same.>One more exchange.>Think that's enough meditation, Gareth?>Other

>>6211344>>6211191>>6211543>>6211930"Think that's enough meditation?" You ask."Yeah, we've been here a while, but let's do one more round, just to really get her confidence up." He suggests."Alright."Nika and Gareth's Riolu square up again, before Gareth's Riolu dashes in with a Quick Attack at his word."Okay, Counter." You instruct Nika.Gareth's Riolu checks Nika with his shoulder, only for her to side-step and pull him through, tripping him over her trailing leg and sending him tumbling. She watches him sprawl in the arena, before turning to you and jumping for joy having won.You smile. You blink and all at once, you're awake again and assailed by the aches of sitting for hours.Gareth groans as he stands beside you, before he helps you up.You look over to see Nika and Gareth's Riolu rough housing now, Nika still in high spirits after her 'victory' just now.If nothing else, she isn't one to back down from a challenge and after that, you reckon she's got the confidence to be battling for real in future. She also demonstrated some remarkably fluid technique there at the end when she threw Gareth's Riolu, but you'll need to see if she can actually do it for real before you can think of how to capitalise on it.If that wasn't just a quirk of that vision though, it might be that you could train Nika to specialise in counter attacks, or in physical attacks to get more mileage out of them. It's getting late now, though and the sun is starting to go down.>Do some training.>Talk with Holly.>Talk with Martha.>Study.>Other

It's been a long day and after sitting down for so long, you feel like doing something else. You head back inside and look around, noticing Martha looking rather uncomfortable as a young man around about your age tries to chat her up."Excuse me." You say firmly as you approach, injecting yourself firmly into the conversation, earning a look of relief from Martha as the guy breaks off his bad pick-up line to look at you. He's not too bad looking, a little bit of acne, but nothing really bad and it's clear that he looks after himself. He scowls as he sees you, after looking at you for a second. You're not exactly jacked, but you have some rather obvious muscle definition to you and even if he's got an inch or two on you, it's pretty clear he's nowhere close to as fit as you are."Yeah, what? We're talking. You got a problem with that?" The guy asks, clearly surly at your interrupting his attempt at hitting on Martha.>Yeah, I do actually.>We're dating. You clarify. "Your choice, your funeral.""Considering the big talk out of you, I think I'll put you in your place." He replies, before shouldering past you.Once he's out of earshot, Martha sighs."Thanks. He shouldn't give you much trouble." She says. "He's got five badges - bit of a hotshot favourite of this year, actually - but considering how you did against Norris, you should be able to handle him." She adds. "Just watch out for his Grovyle and you ought to be fine.""Grovyle, you say?"
