The early United States had its own polytheistic religion as well as a culture of semi-ancestor worship, which is why some of the first memorials in DC were reminiscent of Greco-Roman religious architecture.

America should've stuck to this and made it the official state religion that the government is required by law to follow, but since the Cold War, American politics has adopted a lot of Christian influence, specifically uniquely Southern American Christianity, and it's moving the country backwards.

Its because the Western canon's influence on the elite faltered as all people became more illiterate as soon as public schools became a thing, btw. Private schools and universities, outside St. John's College, literally do not even assign children and adults ANY book related to the Western canon because of "muh raycism." Instead, its all woke bullshit like "how to be an anti-racist" and the like that has 99% of useless information that can literally be summarized in a baby book.

I don't think Americans should be forced to follow this patriotic state religion, there should be freedom of religion for the average person. But people in government should not be allowed to come up with laws based on their interpretation of the Bible. It's insane that this is still a thing in a modern western industrialized nation. If the government really worshipped the founding fathers as much as they pretend to, then this would be a far more progressive country. The founding fathers themselves weren't very progressive but their words can only be interpreted in a limited number of ways, none of which align with biblical values.

Instead of basing their politics around their favorite Jewish fairy tales, they should base them around the values held by the guys that the ancestors of the American people built temples and shrines in honor of. Clearly they intended for these people to be deified with memorials like this with giant statues inside. This is not a Christian nation.
