When I was a kid instead of giving me "the talk" I was given a book that detailed what sex was. It was pretty much a graphic novel which was weird. It had some nice illustrations though. I was particularly find of the part about female masturbation. I don't think my parents really read it before handing it over to me. It was informative for sure but also pretty plainly pornographic at times.
