I'm a Ra guy personally but sadly he is terrible. I don't know what they were thinking with Ra's terrible effects.

they nerfed the irl cards because they would have been too op at the time
funny thing is modern yugioh cards are so broken that even the anime god cards would be mid tier today

Slifer because it has a good trap and can ve used as a floodgate to counter annoying decks like floowander and runick.
It also has the best art

I've had the most success with Ra on Mastsr Duel. Used to be able to jam a bunch of go 2nd staples and dome people for 11k with Ra, but power creep has killed that.
Slifer could be good for the -2k floodgate if you could find a way to consistently summon him in less than 5 summons.
