I was recently fired from my job as a supermarket stocker. I worked for 3 months and they didn't renew my contract.
When I found out, it hit the clock and I left the company on time. Around 8:30 pm today they informed me of this and I left the company, I almost didn't even say goodbye. I had to stay working until 10 pm, but I left early: why would I work until 10 pm knowing I would be fired?
It was no surprise, I was already expecting that I would probably be fired. This company was a spinning wheel, I had been working there since August 1st and I saw a bunch of people get fired. I think there were only a maximum of 4 replenishers who had been there for more than 1 year. I've seen more than 5 employees fired since I've been there. For any little thing, the company fired people.
It's not the first time I've worked in a supermarket, I've worked in another for 1 year and 3 months and it was very different, in that other one, an employee was fired from time to time.
But it was worth it, I earned 3 minimum wages.
