I'd say so. I have a much easier time drawing digitally because I can turn stabilisation really high in software to counteract for my poor motor skills and it's really easy to undo a stroke vs erasing one on paper.
>>
>>79466858
>Telling you that I've learned my lesson wouldn't make you trust me again, would it?
beside what the other anon said, being sorry and apologizing isn't always enough sometimes that's something tht has to be proved with actions. yet again some of the anons are not around anymore, my only question is if you are going to get better because they are not here or because you want to get better for yourself so you can live a better life. what you do and say here can easily reflect IRL and same goes around as much as people say it isn't. maybe some don't trust you anymore but I think everyone means for you to get well for yourself first

ended up snoozing for longer than intended... well, it's the weekend after all, and this pottery has not much to do other than rest. sleeping a lot can feel like hitting the fast forward button on life. i used to sleep early the night before big events so i could reach them sooner.

>Theme hospital was the first game I ever played and its soundtrack is permanently etched into my brain.
funnily enough i can't remember much of the soundtrack, but i can remember all the sound bites and the graphics vividly. i never played Two Point Hostpital, was it as good as or better than TH?

>>79466933
>what are they like?
they're fun! i enjoy micromanaging and moving around sliders. they're a more compressed version of map games i suppose in that regard. something about map games, management sims, and games like factorio really make my brain tingle. i wonder if cities: skylines 2 is good yet.. the whole balancing budgets, increasing services, trying to make things expand and grow.. i think simcity 2000 really started it all when i was young.

The sound of picking up and rotating an item will be with me forever

I would say it's as good. I think it was directed by the same people who made TH and it basically plays exactly the same, with some changes like being able to move rooms and teaching playing a bigger role. I was sceptical before I played it but I'd highly recommend if you liked TH. But the diseases aren't as good

When I was a kid I woke up really early and would annoy my parents by watching television at 6 am or so. They got so annoyed once that they took my tv away for a few weeks...
>humans are so fucking interesting
We are. But so are a lot of animals. If animal anon were here he'd tell you lots of cool facts!

Everything with a brain sleeps, if I'm not mistaken. Sleep in humans helps us process stuff that happened in the day, and I'd assume it's similar for other animals.

Better blacks, basically no latency, and something resembling anti-aliasing depending on the slot mask used, which can make consoles up to the PS2 and low-res video formats look a lot better. Past that I'd say you're better off with a newer display, especially now that OLEDs can do black frame insertion.

Indeed. I guess there's always the retro appeal and limited supply though so they'll probably never be super cheap again.

>>79475576
Well akshually it's very simple: old = good, new = bad :)
But for real, I don't even know why I like them so much, they just look really cool to me compared to LCDs which are boring. And for a good while they used to be better in terms of picture quality than most LCDs too, because the colors are more vibrant than TN panels at least, yet they also have high refresh rates and no motion blur like strobed OLED panels. Also no native resolution so there's a lot of flexibility in regards to what resolution you want to use.

i miss my playstation 1, i still have the games with me because it still has value to me because of nostalgia and was part of my childhood

it was way too hard for me to move on, because i used to play on my playstation 1 all the time, until out of nowhere it stopped working and it cannot be fixed, it just died on me

i got rid of playstation 1 but it was too hard, but i still won't sell nor do anything to my playstation 1 games

Yeah, maybe if the renaissance in their popularity happened earlier it could be possible to still find a factory that had tooling for it but now I guess it would take way too much money to set something up like that again for it to ever make financial sense

That's somehow part of the appeal for me lol. But I have a pretty small desk and the size never really bothered me, and weight is only relevant when moving it somewhere.

>>79479571
Very true, it's amazing how quickly display technology advanced in the past few years. I think I saw 480Hz monitors are a thing now, that's not even possible for CRTs to achieve without flashing modified firmware.

>Better blacks, basically no latency, etc
but you can get very good results with high quality displays as well without the huge amounts of deskspace required and the other nonsense that comes with owning a micro particle accelerator. it seems hard to enjoy the "retro" appeal of devices that i actively disliked using when they were mainstream devices.

>>79480106
The first time I used a 144hz monitor I was completely blown away by how smooth everything was. I imagine there are diminishing returns but the fact we have refresh rates that high now is crazy. Once we figure out how to prevent OLED burn-in we'll have peaked as a civilisation...

>>79480336
>do you have something upcoming?
The comic market the anime club is hosting. Apparently they used to run it on the campus but they couldn't get permission to do that for the last few years so they're hosting it in the middle of nowhere this time.
I'm anticipating some language issues and general shyness from all involved.
>but you can get very good results with high quality displays as well without the huge amounts of deskspace required and the other nonsense that comes with owning a micro particle accelerator
It's more of a price thing for some people (or was before people realised they could charge a premium). In the UK good monitors are probably 10x more expensive than a used CRT from a charity shop. If you don't mind the footprint, whine, and potentially toasting your retinas they're a good option if you're on a budget.
>it seems hard to enjoy the "retro" appeal of devices that i actively disliked using when they were mainstream devices.
That's fair enough. Current display technology is very good now and CRT filters in RetroArch will get you 95% of the way there now if you want the effects of a slot mask. SNES games benefit a lot from that.
Personally the only time I had an issue with a CRT was when I was playing MGS4 and couldn't read any of the item text even when I got really close. I think we changed from a CRT to an LCD TV in 2014 when it broke.
I could just be lucky because I've never had any issues with flickering on any of the TVs or monitors I've used, or I was just too young to care.

Professionally it might cause some problems, or at least some talking behind our backs. One of my old professors basically said to take another's writing with a grain of salt since his wife was senior legal counsel at Google.

good evening, bakanon
it was pretty good actually, there were a few devilishly hard questions but most of them were pretty reasonable
and a bunch of free ez questions as well, i'd say i did pretty good
probably not enough to be among the to 20 but if i can be among the top 100, i'll be very satisfied already

i also got to bring the questions notebook home this time, something i wasn't able to do on the past two exams
as well as getting to buy some premade pizza to bake in the oven today, first time i had pizza in a long ass time so that tasted extra good
