The only times I felt attraction towards real people of flesh and blood are my numerous celebrity crushes on various musicians and a few unrequited puppy loves when I was a teen and that's pretty much it. I'm kind of incapable of loving real people. With fictional characters it's much easier, simply because you don't have to try and be nice to them or smooth some edges of your personality to make yourself approachable, you can just imagine whatever and that they will love you for who you are not for who you pretend to be.
