At the afterparty of my grandmothers cremation my aunt asked me 'so when are you finally getting a girlfriend ?' Then as a joke i replied 'who knows, maybe my soulmate is currently 12 years old' while pointing at my parents. Referencing that my father is 10 years older than my mother.

Apparently my family did not catch onto this and now think i am a pedofile while in reality im just socially retarded. I havent seen any of them since then and we're having a big meet up for christmas. Im kinda scared desu

Idk how other families deal with grief, ive only had this one and we usually have the cremation and service, then the close family members of the deceased share a few drinks together and catch up. Is that not normal ?
