As for the celebrations, most of it is just people launching off their own fireworks at their own parties. I remember a nearby bridge to me as a kid had their own dedicated fireworks show that you could see. I think they launched the fireworks from a boat, so nothing was in the way of the viewing.

Yesterday with the help of my mom washed and added some extra stuffing to my ikea shark (it was a birthday gift but I decided to use him as a subsitute to a Randal dakimakura). He's all fluffy and clean now, nice. Sharks would definitely be Randal's favourite animals.
