>Bridget was originally a guy too before a more recent game, right? Or was it kept ambiguous, I can't remember.
Pre-Strive Bridget is an otokonoko (word used to describe a crossdressing/feminine presenting man) and his whole character arc was that he wanted to overcome the superstition in his home villiage and prove himself as a man despite the girly appearence and clothes. Then Strive rolled around and this was throw out of the window in favor of catering to westeners. Pretty funny to me how in Bridget's story he (a character who's archetype is much more often appears in japanese media and who japanese people understand much better) is accompanied by a middle-aged steriotypically american man named Goldlewis who eventually convinces him that he's a girl. Really subtle, Arc System, really subtle.

It took two naps but I'm mostly feeling awake now. I had some very odd dreams today.
I've installed a pomodoro timer on my laptop so I should be able to get a few hours of work done today once I actually start. and have lots of short breaks to take it easy in.

>>80003635

Maybe about a page. I try to explain all the terms of art that will be used but I've not done that yet.

>>80003788
>but i'm 21 and dropped out of highschool :(
If you're in Burgerland you can still go to community college, I think. And I'd imagine a few countries have university access courses you could try, the UK does, at least. Alternatively you could try getting some basic certificates for IT stuff.
Do those sound like appealing options?

>>80003830
>Everyday I don't get a response from an employer they stress dump on meow, makes it hard to take is easy i suppose
It's a bloodbath out there, and unless your family is also job seeking they probably won't understand that. Sorry you have to go through this anon.
My parents weren't too bad when I was job seeking but I still felt awful every time I'd get a rejection email or just no response after an interview.

How do people "had to work or die"?
i also have to work to survive, but getting a job is impossible for me and i'm not the only one, so how exactly people "had to work"?

i can't grasp that concept, people need to work to survive and have a roof, but how if Degenerates keep ghosting you or rejecting you?

A productivity technique. You work for 25 minutes, take a short 5/10 minute break, repeat three more times, and then take a long 20/30 minute break. Then do that over again.

My sister had a really hard time finding entry-level stuff before ending up in a minimum wage factory job she hates. You really do just have to throw everything at the wall and hope something sticks.
I know it's easy to say, but you really shouldn't feel bad if you can't find anything.
If you really need something to do, you could try volunteering at a public library. They need all the help they can get.

I was looking for graduate roles but employers in that space are just as picky. It's a horrible time to be looking for work no matter the stage of your career.
>I feel bad for your sister too I've never heard anything good about factory jobs before in my life
I don't think she minds the actual work too much but management very obviously has it out for her and they're trying their best to get her to quit because they hired too many people. Nominally it's a floristry job but they keep pushing back when she's going in-store. She's only staying out of spite because they're paying for her floristry qualification.
>I wouldnt mind volunteering, parents just want me to bring bread home no neeting allowed
It could be a useful stepping stone to employment, either at a library or to get some soft-skills on a resume. If nothing else it'll stop some of the guilt for being a NEET. I might get your parents off your back, too

Technically I'm not employed, but I do receive money from a university to do a doctorate in exchange for 200 hours of work each year (proctoring, helping at conferences, RA work, etc.) in addition to the research I'm supposed to be doing anyway. But it's basically a job. The only catch was that I had to move halfway across the world to do it...
Before this I've only ever been able to get part-time contract stuff that only lasted a few months and I was unemployed for 8+ months between those.
>Fucking amazing times ;~;
It was great because it meant I could apply for remote/hybrid stuff that I would never have a chance of doing otherwise due to my location.
>that's what they get for being faggots and trying to nudge her out i suppose.
Yeah. She managed to convince the other people hired to unionise with her. While they probably won't help her with anything, it did probably spook upper management enough to yell at her managers, which made her feel better.
>Probably good money in the end too id imagine!
It seems like good money once you're qualified but at the moment she's on minimum wage. I think long-term she wants to do stuff for events like weddings because they charge a fortune for that.
I'm glad she's found a career she likes. She became really jaded after dropping out of university.
>Yah i really need something like that, all I have is restaurant server/kitchen experience
That's better than nothing. I'd imagine you could pick up some really useful admin skills at a library which could help you get a comfy office job later if you want one.
>would say school but my lord do people seem to have massive issues even with school
In the end experience is what employers want most because they're too lazy to train you themselves. How you get that is a mystery.

>>80008477
>but that sounds like a nice gig, does it keep your qol comfortable?
It does. The alternative was paying a lot of money to a university to do my PhD. I would rather have done it there, but I would be an idiot to do that over getting paid to do one. Frankly I'm being paid too much.
>How did you even get something like that started?
Searching for universities that offer funded PhDs in my field. It's mostly a crapshoot in the UK so I had to look elsewhere. I was interviewed for two in the Netherleands but that didn't go anywhere. I ended up in Hong Kong because the government offers a lot of very generous fellowships to attract international talent.
>That cathartisis I'd feel would make them being faggots worthwhile honestly
I think she's entirely operating out of spite at this point and will probably leave the second she finds a job somewhere else after they've paid for her course. More power to her, it seems like an awful place to work.
>I'd love remote work like that
Remote work is really comfy if you can get it.

given the smell, probably something melted in there, but i'm not sure what other parts have been damaged, if any
so long as my sshd is intact, i couldn't care less about the other parts
i can easily buy them again after i move

I was a kid who had only played cartoony looking zelda games by the time I played wind waker, so I really liked the artstyle.
If you didn't know, the ds games use the same artstyle (just in 256p basically lol)

Pomodoro timers work surprisingly well for me it seems. Tomorrow will surely be even more productive, but now I must sleep.

My sleep is all over the place again and I have no idea if I'm getting too much or not enough. All I know is that I'm getting incredibly vivid dreams again and waking up incredibly alert while also feeling like I've been hit by a freight train.
I'm happy to see you again in the thread and that you were able to send an email to your friend. Are you feeling any better?

It should be pretty obvious which parts have been toasted. Best to disassemble everything and do some visual inspections. Hopefully your drives are okay after that.
I fear that my dad's computer might explode at some point. I should think about getting him a new one, or swapping it for a ThinkPad or something.

Phantom Hourglass was the first Zelda game I finished. But that was a very long time ago, so I don't remember much about it.
I've been meaning to play the Majora's Mask PC port for a while but I'm waiting on ray tracing to be added, but that might still be a while away. That's probably my favourite Zelda. Which is yours?

My favourite zelda games would be spirit tracks, windwaker and botw... I couldn't pick just one lol. Spirit tracks is actually really underated imo.
I'd give it a go if you have a 3ds, you **can't** emulate it, it needs the stylus to not play horribly (I've never emulated, I can just tell)

I brought my DSs with me so I should be able to play it again at some point. Hopefully I can solve whatever puzzle I got stuck on now.
Also, I will always think of this when I hear the main theme https://flipnot.es/KU3PLNH
>>

I would recommend starting the game over again, as it'll feel really fresh. I haven't played it in maybe 5 years.. but even back then (which is relatively recently) it held up well. I still found it fun.
>>
>>80010351
in my experience, it's not always obvious when a part's been toasted
the psu is obvious of course, with that bang and smoke everywhere, but the rest seem intact
i can't count on it though because that's the part that sends energy everywhere, so it might have fried something too small for me to tell

Pic related is a before and after example of what sticklebacks in a certain lake were like when it was polluted and some time after the cleanup. You can see their armor plates were reduced when the water is all nasty(less predators, harder to be spotted too) and then how they quickly regained them after the cleanup.

Well, there's always office job or whatever wagie out there. Our uni professors keep promising us that human translators are irreplacable and I really hope it's not just a bluff to keep us from dropping out.
>>
>>80010761
I mean, I think the thing that would actually replace human artists would be if they actually designed an AI to replicate the drawing itself. As it is now they basically apply a math formula to each pixel based on an input, which makes everything kind of samey and leaves a lot of imperfections. An AI could potentially be taught how to draw someone bit by bit though -- or at least that's how I understand it all.

As for human translators, I think in terms of localizing stuff it'll be harder for AI to replace that. Knowing exactly what the intent is behind what's being said is harder for AI to gleam when it just has the text to deal with. Historical documents too, I imagine would be safe if you're trying to translate something like old English into modern.

At the very least with you being able to draw and make fanfiction you could make your own VN. Have you ever had thoughts about doing that kind of thing before?

If I could program I would make a Ranfren dating sim where Randal is the only dating option. Or a Miside-styled game where once again Randal is the only character besides the player. Idk I'm just tired of this whole "virtual yandere girl" genre of indie games. I know who they're made for but some diversity would be nice.

Programming is something I'm versatile with. Eiki anon and Junas is too actually. The various forms of programming are referred to as languages for a reason though, once you learn how to write in that style it becomes like a language. It really all is writing instructions for the computer and for game development you don't have to do as much of the complex stuff when it comes to VNs. I'd be happy to give any tips or help if you ever do get into it.

>As a fish enthusiast I am expect to know about this jawless wonder (laugh)
True, true. Have I ever mentioned the Vetulicolians or their relatives to you before? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vetulicolia
They're a group of potentially vertebrate related, fish-like animals that existed in the Cambrian. Our ancestors at the time didn't look soo different from them, with spiracles and no jaws just like them and the early jawless fish would also develop bony plates like them and a more tadpole-like body.
>No, but I'm planning to get pet rats eventually. Try and guess how I'll name them.

I see. Well, you did just finish an exam. Gotta take time to relax when you have it too.
>They look like swimming batteries, what the hell was God smoking when he created them.
wew, well it makes some sense. The armor plating is good against predators and they do have a very basal chordate(the group us and sea squirts belong to). Lancelets are really primordial examples of that body plan, I'd love to culture some some day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancelet
Pic related is their anatomy, although they have slits in the diagram, looking at something like a hagfish or lamprey will show those spiracles(small holes) that you see on the Vetulicolians and early fishes.

Larvaceans today also are quite weird, they're in the group that sea squirts come from and in truth are like a baby form of them kept throughout adulthood. It's an example of neoteny(the retention of youthful traits into adolescence). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1wFb_ShW7k
This one produces whole mucus homes in the deep sea to feed and house it.
>Of course, I've been learning a lot about them before I actually get them as pets and they're very smart and full of personality.

I've also learned recently that male rats don't have nipples. It helps out breeders when they need to determine their sex.

I imagine they don't have too much of a taste, if I had to guess. Maybe a little fishy though. I'm jealous though, my middle school lacked a biology class and we never got to do anything really cool. I did excel in our shop class though, sped through all of the electronics stuff before I dropped out of school.
>I've also learned recently that male rats don't have nipples. It helps out breeders when they need to determine their sex.
That's pretty damn neat actually. In paleontology it's always almost very small animals that develop the neat traits and major changes to their body plans. Then when the big animals all go extinct they become the new big animals. The ancestors to dinosaurs were small when the mammal-like reptiles ruled the world. Think Dimetrodon and company. Their name refers to the two kinds of teeth that they have(di = two, metro like metric and don like dental or dentition. Two measures of teeth, or two kinds of teeth). They're a very early split in the mammal-like reptile tree and we inherited that tooth diversity from them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimetrodon
>spoilers
Well, spergs either have almost no libido or far too much. The marking of territory thing reminds me of a story with my mom and dad. It's embarrassing to think that I learned about it either. It's knowledge I didn't need to know.

Can't find the motivation to draw lately. Might be because I'm stuck on my current drawing's background. I see such nice images online like picrel and I think "ahh it'd be great to draw like that" but the process is so damn painful. I know the only way to get better is to stfu and just do it but man. I feel like I draw so slowly compared to the people around me too but I also know comparing is stupid since I have no idea how much longer they may have been drawing than me or what their daily life is like.
It's alright to respond to stuff from old threads right...

Those sound like cool interests to have anon. You seem like a smart lad. >Do you wish you had a lot of friends, anon?
Depends on your definition of "a lot". I do believe humans can only have so many important connections in their life. If I have too many friends I won't be able to prioritise the ones I have now and I'd hate for someone to feel ignored or unwanted. So I'd prefer quality over quantity. At the same time I like the typical friendship groups you see in anime. I like getting to know people and them getting to know me. I like helping people I deem worthy. I like not being alone. I like a sense of community and comradeship. I think I just like talking with cool peeps, like you. So in that way I do like having a lot of friends.
>Or just some that understand you better?
And I want this too. I want to meet more people like me. I apologise if I sound greedy or needy... but in truth I'm both greedy and needy!
How about you?
>definitely make your own VN
I've thought about it before but I think I lack intrinsic motivation. I started drawing because I wanted to see more fanart of characters I love. But there's not really a particular story I want to tell, at least not yet. There needs to be more to it than just "ya making my own VN would sure be kewl." I have some more things I'd like to see in fiction but nothing that's enough to carry it's own story. I also think a lot of great writers tend to be older. This is because they use their life experiences to make their works better and naturally the older you are the more experience you have. So in some ways I think it can wait for when I'm older.
Breeding sounds like a bit of a headache for me so props on you for that. I know I'm a pussy so I'd get sad killing stuff. Regenerative medicine is a noble goal. I think your story idea sounds alright, I'd need to see some drafts or something!

It is Winter. Lots of people are lacking motivation right now, the shorter days and longer nights naturally make us all a bit more depressive and emotional contagion can increase the impact of that. Luckily Spring is right around the corner, so don't worry too much. You're all too fine to respond to old posts too, 'guya(the OP) does it all the time.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them B^). I may be all too biased in my appreciation though. In school, I was always the smart and weird kid before I dropped out. I still surprise people IRL and every doctor I've had has told me I should really go to college for medicine. Family friends have commented on similar things for other fields too It's not that practical for me to do that all though B^).

It's sad to hear you've lost your old ring. Was it using mined Lapus or synthetic? I remember that that's one of the kinds of gemstones we can make synthetically. I have made my own game before, but it was super niche and for a community. If I talked too much about it then I'd get doxed pretty easily B^).

Those are pretty good interests and pongos are always loved. The gentlest of the apes. What was your cousin like? Also my curiosity sometimes leads me to making very... Uncomfortable conclusions and coming up with less than savory ideas. The difference between a weapon and a wonderful device for bettering humanity is often a matter of restraint. Nuclear power relies on the same principles that a nuclear bomb utilizes, but in a controlled setting to stop it from going on a positive feedback loop -- as an example.

Do you still feel clingy on others? Also what kind of vidya do you play other than VNs?
>>80012722
It's funny that the character limit is 2k on this board, considering it was made to have higher quality posts.

I see, also thanks for considering me to be pretty cool B^). I wouldn't call you greedy or needy in wanting to be understood though. That's quite human.

Are you excited for the new Witcher game? What do you think of Ciri being the protag?
>that's why you posted hisui then, huh?
Yeah, Akiha and Kohaku are my fav tsuki girls but Hisui is cute. Who did you like the best and what did you think of the vn overall?
>if that was you then i'll reinforce my wishes that you find someone who cherishes your company
Yeah that was me. Thank you a lot again. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but recently I met a cool new person who I have so much in common with and so many coincidences that we both went "this is crazy!" so hopefully some benevolent spirit thing whatever has sent me my ideal best friend. Lol.
>it's better to take the plunge than beat yourself up over it
You're probably right, but I'm still afraid of shaking the boat so to speak. I don't know how most of the people I talk to would feel if I randomly asked them if I bother or annoy them etc
>>79999487

Yeah that seems to be a problem nowadays. I think in many cases it can be fixed with enough willpower and forcing yourself. Makes me feel like an anamoly for being into vns and shit and it's hard to convince people to read em lol.

I don't know if I need to. People tell me pretty often that I have a nice sounding voice. I just struggle with mispronouncing things sometimes.

As for me, I like to learn about others. Especially those who are odd. I can't really find too many people who can relate to me on much, but I do enjoy talking with them when I can. I've found that people who're likely schizoid(not schizophrenic) tend to make for excellent company. They used to be less of a rarity on this board. This thread has led me to finding an anon who is like that and we talk off site a good bit.

Also, I see. A lot of the time when I watch an anime with a cool concept I find myself upset that they failed to capitalize on it and I come with various scenarios that it could be told better. One of the recent examples of this, iirc, was one about a powerful hero who went to join the demon lord he recently beat because the humans feared him too much. Turned out to just be a dumb harem anime and didn't really fulfill a story of a man who was betrayed by his own out of paranoia and the proneness for humans to view those different from them as dangerous, evil or unwelcome.

Breeding isn't so hard, in my experience B^). I've made a few oddities without trying to in my aquarium in just under a year. "Micro bladder snails" and I had this kind of small, benthic(meaning lives on the bottom of the water column, on the lakebed or so on) duckweed. It had adapted to hide from the bladder snails who would flip upside down and eat it off of the water surface. They'd actually crawl on the water's surface(the little ones do that now). Thus by being on the bottom as little balls of green they'd survive. The micro bladder snails were made because of my rather lazy attempts to murder them all off. Letting them starve off so I could reintroduce duckweed and then ruining their water condition by adding too much food to rot. It selected for snails who could live on less food and need less oxygen. None of them grow bigger than a grain of rice and most are as big as a big grain of sand https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physella_acuta

Oof ya the cold is absolutely brutal if you're not used to it. I used to like cold and snow but at some point it just became too much for me, violent shivers lmaoo. Poor sisters dog is it older I suppose?
>My guppy eugenics program will begin. I will breed blue and white guppies.
Yesss!!! Only the strong guppies shall live to breed even stronger guppies. Maybe one day so strong they can overthrow the tyrant turtle king to be
>Hadn't heard of Topboy before.
Its pretty entertaining ing honestly!! About Jamaicans selling drugs in London, plus love the rudeboy bladclaut .-.
>Have you seen Mushoku Tensei yet?
Yess!!! I've only seen the first season need to watch the newer one. I love the world in that show so immersive with the beast people having their own language and the magic system is cool too c:
>What kind of build are going for your first playthrough?
I didn't have one in mind this go around mostly had a charisma/stealth/sniper build but was amazing how many speechchecks there are in this game it's amazing lmfao. If fallout 4 was half of this I'd never put it down
>Old World Blues is also the best DLC B^).
I'm loving it so far the crazy robots are such a vibe, think I came here a lil too late tho feels like the enemies are overtuned.. 500 hp cyberdogs is miserable for my ammo ;~; and those fucking roboscorpions are a nightmare and there's a million of them
>However, I guess sometimes they feel like they have an egg to lay but it turns out to be a large... Well, you know. Very gross.
Chickens all like "it can't be helped" lmaoo, how often do they lay eggs?
>At least every month
Ah that's smart! Yah any way to be done with that faster is for the best
>Hopefully in the near future we'll have much longer lived cats.
Yah ;~; think I read somewhere they had a breakthrough with treating cancer in cats in Japan or something, gotta look it up later I suppose, but ya they need to live way longer 15-20 years isn't enough

>Lots of people are lacking motivation right now
You're right about that. I feel like when my daily life pattern gets interrupted it's really hard for me to get back onto it. After Christmas and New Years I've just felt like lazing around and talking to people and not doing anything actually "productive". I can't just take the whole month of January off if I wanna git gud though! My brain has been in this weird buzz recently where I'm just like wee wee talk to people play games have fun. Thanks for that though you make me feel less crazy, and thanks for letting me know.
I might join them and also encourage you to go to school for medicine. You could use your smarts and interest to make the world a better place!
Sadly I don't remember if it was mined or synthetic. I do have two amethyst rings that I know are mined though. I rather like amethyst. Houseki no Kuni is an anime/manga about gemstones and the amethyst in it are twins, which is a cute coincidence for my two matching amethyst rings. Do you have a fav gem?
Yeah I understand, no need to talk about anything you don't want to share out in public!
>What was your cousin like?
She was just normal I guess. She liked animals and played with me. I lost contact with her though and don't care much for getting back into it honestly. If your curiosity leads to wrong conclusions, you can just be more and more curious until they're corrected perhaps.
>Do you still feel clingy on others?
I do. Sometimes I feel like a damn dog or something. Wahhh come home. Wahhh walk me. Funnily enough I've always preferred cats myself, though some cats are pretty clingy.
>Also what kind of vidya do you play other than VNs?
I like ones with good stories and characters and world building that truly make me feel like I'm in another world. Recently I've been obsessed with your turn to die, my fav game ever is rune factory 4.
I'm not crazy, 2k ain't that many words right? It's too short here.

You seem to ask others questions about themselves here (in a good way) so I can see that about you. Obviously everyone on r9k is theoretically a little odd. I think I am. Maybe you'd be a good interviewer. Do you wish others could relate to you more? I used to think I was schizoid but with how clingy and social I'm wanting to be recently there's no way. I sometimes do wish I was schizoid though. I hope you and that anon have a good friendship.
I can somewhat relate with you on the anime stuff. I know some Attack on Titan fans made their own alternate ending or something because they were so dissapointed with the actual ending. I hate when stuff just turns out to be dumb harem. I hate harems. Glory to yandere and having in-depth monogamous romance. Do you own many animals?

Well, I've never seen the snow (^':. Also my sister's dog is only like a year older but he has all sorts of health issues and anxiety. He's so easily scared. He's scared of rain, people playing music, cars driving past fast, lawnmowers, traffic noises, dogs barking and sometimes people too. Also if the ground is wet from rain then he's too scared to go outside.

B^) those guppies will have to try for a long time to overcome their tyrant turtle king. Do you live in the UK though, fren? Also the second season of Mushoku Tensei is good, but I wasn't too thrilled about how it ended. That's just my personal tastes though, it was a good season.

Also I see, charisma will serve you will and I also actually went for a sneaky sniper build. In a future run try a melee build. It's stupidly strong and funny at the same time B^). I also went into Old World Blues waaay underleveled but it added a good bit of tension.

The chickens lay an egg just about every day. Sometimes they'll take a day off though, so usually we'll have two eggs but sometimes just one. At least with the coop we use shredded paper for their bedding so we don't have to spend any real money on it. It's all basically trash. Then it can become compost.

On longevity in pets, there was a guy on Youtube named David Ishee who managed to get some gene therapy treated mice to live about twice as long as their siblings. He removed it on Youtube but it's still up on Odysee. https://odysee.com/@DavidIshee:d/genetically-modified-super-mice:e

Puggles are adorable, same with platypuses. Have a cute snail (:.
>>80012849
Happy to let you know that you're not crazy B^). My issue with school is that I don't function well around others. I can fit in fine now, as an adult, but I'm always uncomfortable and tense around others. Can't drive either, but the other issue is money. There's no way I'm getting in for free, especially not with how the attitudes in college currently are. I'm no minority and money is tight 1/2
>>
>>80012849
I do plan to share some of my ideas and if I ever get the funds I think I might just cut out the middle man and get into experimenting and buying a textbook to learn on my own. Get into contact with actual doctors and researchers to ask questions if I run into any issues too.

Amethyst is cool. It's a form of irradiated quartz. It makes me wonder what other gems could be like with some radiation treatment too. I think sapphires might be my favorite gemstone also.

Houseki no Kuni is also on my list of stuff to watch B^). Your cousin sounds like she was pretty nice. Was she? Also, it's less about the outcomes and more about how worrisome it is to talk about things related to it.

Like projects I've had in mind that could lead to potentially removing invasive species could also be used to make weapons. Some other stuff I've looked into was specifically meant to counter potential weapons I thought up of though. Like my ideas for advancing chelation therapies.

Cats are pretty easy to manage, dogs can be a handful. Whenever I have to walk both of our dogs it's about 185 lbs combined of dogs trying to pull me into the woods if they see a bunny. No warning usually either, they've got a hair trigger. I'm pretty good at not giving an inch to them though, but I'm also a pretty big guy.

I'd love to live in a fantasy world with magic. I'd be a very different person then B^). I haven't heard of Rune Factory, what's it like? I haven't heard of Your Turn to Die either, what's it like too?
>>80012887
I'm always full of questions B^), even if I don't ask them outright. I don't really wish others could relate to me more, I do just wish there were a few I could relate well too. I don't want to change the world for me, nor me for the world. Do you think you might have AvPD instead of Schizoid PD?

I hope the harem tropes are dying off for anime. But who knows. I never got too into yanderes though. What's the appeal of them for you?

>Well, I've never seen the snow (^':.
Its fun every once in awhile to mess around in, but after so long it's more of a nuisance honestly, snow gets tracked inside making a mess, especially the salt used to melt it. It does have a relaxing charm tho
>Also my sister's dog is only like a year older but he has all sorts of health issues and anxiety. He's so easily scared.
Aww that sound miserable, is it trauma or was he always like that i wonder? Poor things afraid of everything ahaha
>Do you live in the UK though, fren?
Nope! Been in NA my whole life but always wanted to save up to go vacation over there, see if the grass is greener and all that ^-^
>Also the second season of Mushoku Tensei is good, but I wasn't too thrilled about how it ended.
Ahhh interesting ya definately high priority on my watch list! Only thing I know is that Rudeas is older in the next season, reminds me i gotta watch the newer vinland saga season too
>Also I see, charisma will serve you will and I also actually went for a sneaky sniper build.
Ahhh love that build honestly so hard for me to detract from it honestly! Sneaky snipernin fallout, stealth archer in elder scrolls ya everytime ahah
>I also went into Old World Blues waaay underleveled but it added a good bit of tension.
Ya its more fun this way actually a challenge, these robots are fucking spongey .-. In very hard + hardcore so those fuckers 2-3 shot me too
>The chickens lay an egg just about every day.
Oh interesting! More frequent than I thought, as fresh as it gets too aha do they taste any different/fresher than store bought?
>On longevity in pets, there was a guy on Youtube named David Ishee who managed to get some gene therapy treated mice to live about twice as long as their siblings.
That's incredibly interesting, the difference between the two mice given different doses is just so blatant o-o stuff like this i wouldn't mind doing as a career i suppose. Baha love the snails too, animals in general are amazing
>>
>>80013083
Do you have fond memories of snow as a kid? For me, as a Floridian, I have fond memories of swimming and fishing. Catching lizards and stuff too.
>is it trauma or was he always like that i wonder?
Not sure and he really is afraid of everything. He prefers to be inside and he's a bit of a snugglebug. Even when I'm putting on my shoes to walk him he comes up to try and get me to pet him instead of tying my shoes. He'll even rub under my chin or on my chest for some more petting.

Rudeas does a bit more than get older, the beginning of the season will be a bit slow and sad though as a warning. Don't get discouraged though. Vinland Saga was good, I remember reading the manga like a decade ago.
>sneaky archer and sniper
Yeah that's my go to too. Easy to watch everything and see what happens and you don't need to worry about weird AI pathing because they heard you. No unpleasant surprises B^).

Just wait until you get to the end of Old World Blues too. The other DLCs are quite fun too.
>Oh interesting! More frequent than I thought, as fresh as it gets too aha do they taste any different/fresher than store bought?
They taste better in my opinion. They differ on the variety too. The white one lays eggs that are more like what you get in the super market and it has more white than yolk than the brown one's.
>That's incredibly interesting, the difference between the two mice given different doses is just so blatant o-o
He tried to use it on myself too, the gene therapy, but when he tested himself for the hormone it came up negative. Better than a bad result of potential abnormal growths or an immune system freak out though. I imagine he's gonna reformulate it in the future. A friend of his too, the guy behind Thought Emporium also made a temporary cure for his lactose intolerance before too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3FcbFqSoQY

I'd love to do this stuff too, but I also have ideas on various genetically altered plants, animals and more B^).

Depends where. At the university all the teaching is in English so everyone is fluent, but students are a bit shy about using it unless they went to an international school.
Every government worker I've spoken to speaks fluent English too.
Outside of that you can more or less get by with it when shopping.

It's kind of a miracle I wasn't eaten by a gator either. For the lizards, it was always easier if they were stuck in the screen enclosure with you. They try to escape through the screen but can't.

String cheese comes with all kinds of gross additives if I remember correctly, so it's no good to use for cooking. Gotta go with some nice bits of cheese and preferably not the shredded kind either. Most shredded cheese in a store has starch covering it to keep it from sticking together.

>>80020350
>How are you getting the stove dirty?
Oil splashes when I use the frying pan and water overboils when I use a pot. I'm not the greatest food preparer out there. Thankfully, I have an electoronic stove which is flat so cleaning it is pretty easy. Also I have a feeling that aluminium trick won't work here.
>>
>>80023228
Yeah, aluminum foil might not work there. However if you're boiling something then don't turn the heat up too much. Water stays about the same temperature as it boils so when you up the heat you're just increasing how much water you lose and not the temperature of the water itself. Just gotta sustain the boil is all. Oil splashes are harder to handle, but if you have lye(often sold as drain cleaner, make sure it's just pure lye and water) then you can use that to clean grease. Be careful though, it's corrosive.

The lye will react with oils in the grease and turn it into soap, which makes it easy to clean off. The lye can also react with metal, so it's better to use it on ceramics or really greasy things.
>>
>>80023228
>>80023252
Also on pasta(if that's what's overboiling) use a wooden spoon or something else like that. Something rough to help pop the bubbles as the come up. You lay it across the top and it'll help out a ton. For the oil spills also, make sure you have low water content in whatever it is you're adding. The oil spittling out is from steam escaping whatever it is you're cooking. If you fry something that's dry then you'll be good. The hotter the oil, the more violent the oil splatter and the greater the risk of something like an oil fire(so don't push too hard on the temperature).

I have heard that another kind of jellyfish with photosynthetic algae in it tasted fairly good when cooked. Apparently something like kelp, so somewhat savory. Most jellyfish have no real taste though, they're basically glorified gelatin.

I don't think you're silly for being anxious, we're all pretty anxious people around here too B^). Glad to see you around again too, have another jellyfish. These guys have a population that lives in a big salty lagoon on an island. At night they descend into the deeper, anoxic layer where there's nutrients for their photosynthetic symbionts and then at daytime they come up to the surface. They're predated upon by big anemones too. The jellyfish barely sting either! The anemones on the other hand...

i'll be honest, im having a lot of fun with it! i was unsure about the new catching mechanic but it's way better than i thought. having to be sneaky to prevent wild pokemon attacking (or running away from) the player really makes the game feel engaging and exploration is back on the menu (somewhat). the game focuses more on the collection aspect of the games than battling however

I (mostly) enjoy my time here but making something you enjoy a job takes a lot of the fun out of it
>i did the ultimate sin and lost the original case of pokemon black because i was 7 when i first got the game and didn't care about the case
In my mind Black and White still came out recently so I assumed you were 12 years old but then I figured banks wouldn't employ 12 year olds and checked to see they were released almost 14 years ago... I don't like that one bit.
Still, loose copies still sell for a lot.
>i'll be honest, im having a lot of fun with it!
That's reassuring. Keep me posted, if it's still as fun 20 hours in I might try it myself.
I tend to like exploring the most in these games, how does it fare in that aspect?
>i have so many questions! how did you even discover this?
I think I got recommended a clip from it on YouTube many years ago and ended up listening to the whole thing. It's a funny listen and they end up making up their own lore to entertain themselves, or noting every weird intonation an actor makes when delivering a line.
Two of the hosts have a similar podcast where they watch the same movie every week for a year, but that format has since changed because it was an exercise in self-flagellation. I used to listen to the episodes about Sex and the City 2 when I went for runs a few years ago.
>surely it will go away soon if it hasn't already. stay hydrated!
I seem to be on the mend now but I've got a bit of a sore throat. Getting that flu shot earlier probably spared me a worse time.

I forgot this from your last post:
>well? were you a TRUE champion and had the glow in the dark ones too?
My memory is hazy but I think a couple of them glowed in the dark. I also remember having one of Huntail, which is the only reason I remember that Pokemon even exists. That has to be the most forgettable Pokemon.

Sent you an email B^), hope you can at least get a kick out of the topics.
>did you watch that show a lot growing up?
Yeah, I loved watching documentary content a lot as a kid too. It was almost all of what I watched. BBC Earth's Blue Planet was a good one too, I loved their deep sea episode.
>rip tiny and giant crocs. a croc 10ft long... spooky. that was a good watch, thanks for that
We do still have tiny manatees in the Amazon at least B^). PBS Eons has tons of good stuff if you like that kind of content, Moth Light Media too.
>im curious as to what the pain is like. akin to a wasp sting, jellyfish sting or something else? im not curious enough to find out irl of course
I ran into a guy in a clinic back when I was taking care of my grandpa. It hurts a lot when it happens, because it actually stabs into you, but then it just burns a lot. Much worse than a wasp sting, all because of the physical part too I'm sure. They're often barbed and/or serrated.

Pic related is featured in that deep sea Blue Planet episode. Couldn't find a clip of it from the documentary but MBARI has a nice video on them too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df-izAsHThs

Singing "All of Me" and "Perfect," and feeling the feeling of being in love, but with no one to give it to. It's the opposite of crippling loneliness; my heart aches, bursting with love I can't give to anyone. I like the feeling, and singing those songs allows me to feel the feeling of love for a little while.
>>
I don't know man, I really want to be able to sing "Perfect" to a girl one day. I now understand why it's played at every damn wedding. The lyrics... it is the sappiest love song ever, but man, do I really want to feel that way toward somebody, sing that song to her and mean it with all my heart.

My main issue is that I always have a hard time understanding how hot or cold the stove and the stuff on it usually is. My mom says I always overcook or straight up burn everything I make. I'm unfamiliar with any dream friends, I'm afraid. Also, I see. I've had a lot of experience with cooking, usually being on the colder side is better if you can manage it. Anything you don't have to worry about getting soggy does better with lower heat and more time and care in my experience. There are exceptions, of course, as some reactions in cooking only occur at higher temperatures. Generally speaking though it's better to be careful than rash in cooking. You can always add more seasoning but you can't take it out and so on.
>Ooh, that could be fun. I went to a zoo in my own city back in '23 and the aquarium there was also super impressive.

Dream friends are dream denizens, entities who exist on the dream plain. Most of the ones shown in the lucids are "higher-sentience dream entities" who basically like humans living in their own enclosed world. Satoru is dead tho.

chunk force loading doesn't work in this server for some fucking reason if all players are offline, which means my iron farm needs someone online at all times, so the fake player comes in very handy (i just spawn my friend in spectator mode and cope with the fact he keeps ditching me in every game we play)

I actually made a game in my free time, it took like 9 months to make something the quality of a flash game. It's actually way more accessible than you'd think with open source stuff like Godot
>>
>>80049674
it's someone who's gay for op and are mad op didn't reply to him
>>
>>80049831
Not them, but if you're the anon who talked about the game starting with an 'L' in a thread or two ago, I really enjoyed it. Hope you're doin' well, I'm about to take it easy in my sleep.
>>80049969
OP has schizotypal personality disorder though, you can't really expect him to have too much to say a lot of the time. Problems with talking is a major symptom of StPD.
>>
>>80049831
very nice, so you got some practice
the thing that interests me about game development is mostly the style of it all, like in web development we have these design patterns, these architectures (mvc, microservices, hexagonal, etc.) and these utilities, like reverse proxies, monitoring tools (datatog, prometheus, etc.), so on
so i was wondering what kind of ecosystem is behind game development, to learn more about how it's done, lol

at the end of the day, software isn't very different across games and web, you gotta deliver a product within a certain timeframe and budget
but what makes me wonder is how games are developed on a more operational/management scale, if that makes any sense
>>
>>80050070
That was me! Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
>>80050075
Yeah I have no idea about how it's done in industry, I just worked at it every day for 9 months until it was done. I didn't spend any money other than the steam listing fee

I had so many while trying to sleep that I've forgotten most of them. One that stuck out was that I was living in an apartment shared by like 10 people near the border with Shenzhen because it was all I could afford. Beds were just placed in each room of the house and I had to sleep on a sofa.
I woke up quite nervous but then remembered I probably wouldn't need to live like that once my lease ends.
>what else can u buy from that store?
I got them online from HKTVmall which sells basically everything as far as I can tell. It's where I got my beloved dehumidifier from.

No. Fumos aren't too expensive, but they're definitely overpriced for what they are. I got mine from a store in Japan, Yahoo auctions, and a preorder when they went up.

Something will be a bit off about them like clothes not fitting properly. The thread on /jp/ should have more information about how to spot them.

it's an rpg, look it up on curseforge
there are a bunch of optional stuff though which technically makes it a kitchen sink pack, but the focus is on the rpg aspects of it
new combat mechanics, spells, leveling up, bunch of gear, playstyles, etc.
right now i'm doing some stuff with create to improve some automated structures here, but again, optional content, lol

A major city in China. It's where a lot of tech stuff gets made now and it's sucked some of the business away from HK. Some people go on day trips there to buy stuff for cheaper than you can get it here.
>do u still need 2 use that thing?
Yes. I break it out whenever humidity goes over 60% and when I dry my towel after a shower.
>where did u get ur eiki from?
Yahoo auctions. I found her new with not too much of a markup. I've heard that Eiki isn't that popular in Japan which might have been why. I was trying to find some Eiki stuff on Booth yesterday and there wasn't that much.

a long time ago, when we were still acquaintances and modded minecraft was in its earlier days, i looked into hosting a server for me and a couple other colleagues (him included) to play some modded stuff
i stumbled on aternos and i didn't like it very much (it was awfully slow), but it worked at least
i don't know how it's doing nowadays but i have no more need of it, since i know how to deploy my own servers now
i remember i even made an ansible script to deploy/update vanilla and modded servers alike automatically, including making them run as service daemons and all
i don't really use that script anymore since it was mostly for my home lab, and since that's gone, the script isn't very useful, lol

i can imagine that, prominence takes 4gb of ram server-side and i tried it with 3gb but it was a disaster
then again, it probably was because i was running it on windows which is full of bloatware, if i tried 3gb here then it'd probably be ok since it's just me but it might take a hit later on

>spoiler
better yet, can you actually run the client? prominence is a pretty beefy pack, i allocate 8gb ram to it and i still have some troubles here and there
try it in singleplayer for a bit first to see if it's your cup of tea
gameplay is really, really different from vanilla or vanilla+ packs, and i'm not sure what you've been playing

very nice, there are some that generate around too, look around
some are broken though, but there are also cool structures

lots of stuff for you to build with there, also check out the copycat blocks from create copycats
they're interesting block formations (like boards, pillars, slabs, there are even 45 degree corners) and you can put a block in them, it'll then copy that block's texture

>what does hard difficulty even change?
well... it could be worse, lol
but things just hit a lot harder and are tougher, i guess
i used to play another modpack, steampunk iirc, it had enigmatic legacy there, and i immediately put on the ring of the seven curses
it was fun, really fun, but difficult
>seven curses will befall whoever bears it:
>1. you will always receive double damage from all sources
>2. neutral creatures will become immediately hostile (endermen, pigmen, etc.)
>3. armor is 30% less protective
>4. any monster will receive 50% less damage from all of your attacks, save for one item which always deals full damage
>5. if you catch on fire, it burns forever or until you dip in water
>6. every death rends your soul, reducing your max health by 10% and leaving a soul crystal behind (you only recover that lost health when you pick it up again)
>7. you suffer from incurable insomnia and cannot sleep by any means

you also get seven blessings in return though so it's not all bad
>1. you have a bonus level of looting at all times
>2. you have a bonus level of fortune at all times
>3. your xp gains are quadrupled
>4. enchantment tables have an additional 10 power when used by you
>5. you get a permanent ender chest access button in your inventory
>6. some mobs drop additional drops (e.g. ender pearls from evokers, ghast tears from witches, etc.)
>7. you can craft some locked endgame (and op) relics from enigmatic legacy

>did u get my email?

i finished it on hard too, start to end
it was painful but i did, lol
oh and by the way, once you put on the ring of the seven curses, it stays with you forever, can't be removed and persists even after death

I found a sky village
>i prefer automating stuff and getting strong gear, lol
How well can u do stuff on create?
Can u make stuff like drills and such?
>always been a function over looks kind of person
I think the two are not mutually exclusive
I always try 2 give my builds a function
>i finished it on hard too, start to end
wow u must be quite hardcore!
U did it all alone as well?
>oh and by the way, once you put on the ring of the seven curses, it stays with you forever, can't be removed and persists even after death
Is this ring like an item u find or is it like a setting in the options?
>>
>>80054253
>I found a sky village
yeah, i settled on a sky village too
climbed up there with a couple stacks of wood and a noob ladder, then dropped a water bucket off there
thing is, i forgot it's in a cold biome so the water fucking froze when i was down there and i forgot to put a torch near it, so i had to climb up with another 2 stacks of wood, kek
that was frustrating

>How well can u do stuff on create?
>Can u make stuff like drills and such?
you can, there are several machines there you can use to make all sorts of multiblock constructs
there are mechanical drills to break blocks yes, there are saws that chop wood, deployers that mimic player interactions (left or right clicks), harvesters for plants, grinding wheels, millstones, etc.
look up some vids on create if you feel like it, there's a lot you can do
i built an iron farm and a tree farm so far (iron for instance is from cobble generators > millstones (gravel) > bulk washing, which yields some flint (which i discard) and sometimes iron nuggets, which i then compress into ingots and blocks)
>>
>>80054253
>I think the two are not mutually exclusive
they're not, i just suck at it, lol

>u must be quite hardcore!

yeah alone, but no not as hardcore, just an old player, lol

>Is this ring like an item u find
yes, steampunk in particular gives it to you as a quest reward at the start
originally you find it in loot chests

I'm not the best at it either if i'm being honest

he's the opposite, hates automating stuff but is a quite good builder, honestly
was working on a big mansion last time i saw his stuff back at his server, but he ditched it, lol

i'll let you check out the modpack if it interests you
it's a bit difficult but not too bad, unless you put that ring on

ye i know, I was just wondering if u can build these things. Me and koishi anon (if u member him) were playing on a server with create on and he made a bunch of kewl amchines suhc as a moving drill. We had the cave dweller mod installed so he came up with a creative way 2 keep him away from us while we drill which was literally just 2 build a capsule that protected us from him lole

have u found any monastaries? What's the deal with them? Do they function the same as villages?

It basically adds a horror monster that lives in the caves. It was scary 2 mine at first but then we installed a gun mod and then it wasn't as scary as he went down in like 2 shotgun shots lole

I started the conversation by asking her what she's looking forward to this year. She said traveling so we talked about fun trips we've been on. Yesterday we just talked about how she has a big exam coming up that she's gotta prep for.

I have a good feeling because she seems like a very busy girl and she's making time to see me, so she must really be interested. We're also going to one of my favorite restaurants so even if the date is bad the food will still be delicious

>>80056366
>Is that how most of ur conversations with bumble girls go?
I have a rotating set of openers I use when I talk to girls on dating apps. Right now it's "what are you looking forward to this year?" I've found that asking questions works the best because people love talking about themselves. If you can get them talking about travel or one of their hobbies that usually works. I try to ask them out after ten or so messages and usually it works.

>do u share any interests or hobbies?
She's in med school so she's gotta be interested in science. I really like learning about science so we can talk about that. Also we both like college football.

thank you for worrying, but i'll be fine!
Why don't u tell me about ur day instead?
>>
>>80056450
>ten messages? That sounds like a rather low number... U must be quite the charmer!
People aren't on dating apps to meet a pen pal, you gotta take action at some point. I just send the minimum amount of messages for her to know I can carry a conversation and I'm not a complete psycho. I get ghosted and stuff too, it doesn't always work.
>R u studying something related with science as well?
I'm out of college but I studied engineering so I had to take a ton of science classes. I'm the programmer anon from yesterday that had a job interview and made a video game
>>

we're in similar boat then. I used 2 study chemistry but now I study programming as well
doesn't mean I gave up on chemistry though!

It went well! It was just the first round though. I've gotta brush up on technical skills for the second round though.
>I used 2 study chemistry but now I study programming as well
I loooove chemistry. Those were my favorite classes in high school and college. I'm considering going back to school to study either robotics or something more scientific like chemistry, software isn't really doing it for me.
Would you ever work in chemistry again or is it just a hobby?
>>

I am not familiar with this saying...
>It went well! It was just the first round though. I've gotta brush up on technical skills for the second round though.
when's the second interview? I hope it goes well!
>I loooove chemistry. Those were my favorite classes in high school and college.
It's ironic
only after dropping out I've realized how much I like chemistry. UGH I miss it already! Can't wait to finish this degree so I can go back to it!
>I'm considering going back to school to study either robotics or something more scientific like chemistry, software isn't really doing it for me.
Likewise
we could be chemistry bros!
The only issue is that college is way mor lax with everything compared to university. I'm gonna have to try EXTRA hard once i'm back in.
>Would you ever work in chemistry again or is it just a hobby?
I would LOVE to work in the field. My ideal scenario would be getting a doctorate (at like mid 30s lole) and working in academia or if that doesn't work out some laboratory, though that doesn't really require a doctorate... I've always dreamed of becoming a scientist, but I never really felt a calling until now.
>>
>>80056639

It's a movie quote from a famous scene from Good Will Hunting

>I would LOVE to work in the field. My ideal scenario would be getting a doctorate (at like mid 30s lole)
Same. I'm in my late 20's so I'd be getting a science doctorate pretty late in life. I live in the US so I don't think it's worthwhile because I want to start a family at some point and can't do that on like $30k a year or whatever paltry grad student pay I'd get

would u want to take over his business? It's not very good if it's in the middle of nowhere...

reminds me of this one mod from back then, it had another dimension that you'd join by standing over bedrock for too long, the deep dark (before the caves update in vanilla)
back there torches didn't burn very brightly and staying in the dark for too long would cause you to take damage, either without effects or by means of a grue spawning in and attacking you

ore processing and farms, or materials production

sort of? this is for the studies platform i've been using for a year or two now
they offer preparation courses for admission exams of all sorts, be them for armed forces careers, entrance exams for uni, public servant admission exams, etc.

>ad astra
>do u enjoy space exploration mods as well?
more or less, but not really
i played advanced rocketry and galacticraft (which ad astra is based off of), but i feel like they're not all that great, lol
lots of empty space which is to be expected, but they're not visually very appealing, advanced rocketry was fairly nice though with the graphics (especially when going to euclydes prime and aurellia, one having rings and the other a really fast day/night cycle and orbiting a black hole, high gravity too)

>auto crafters with create
i mean they help, yes
but they're just a building block in a structure, lol
>gunpowder farm
yeah i heard about that, but meh, i prefer stick farms for emeralds
easier to automate i'd say

yeah especially when you have mods like waystones which can bail you out of anywhere
it's just meant to be spooky, not a trap
finding your way back though... that can be tricky without waystones and shit

>favourite sources of power in create
i use a self-sustained steam boiler, provides me with nearly 150k su and runs forever

>>
>>80058645
>Do u wanna become their posterboy?
lol, i don't think they'll go that far
but i'll give out an email interview yeah, sure
will be good experience if nothing else, i'm naturally shy but there's no other way to improve aside from throwing myself into those social situations when the opportunity comes

>warp drive mod with a space dimension
that was probably it then, advanced rocketry
look up some vids on ftb interactions, pretty sure those planets i mentioned (euclydes prime and aurellia) are from there, made possible through advanced rocketry

>do u enjoy building trains in create?
i frankly never tried, lol
for transport i just use flying mounts, and for hauling resources i tend to use teleportation, like quantum rings from applied energistics 2
>Eiki likes 2 do that. He built a nice train station in our serber
sounds nice
i wanted to build a subway in my friend's server using create trains but he ditched before i could

>are there any kewl resources there?
nah, there weren't, just these nice structures
it was frankly boring but otherwise interesting, that was a mod from way back then too

>how many boilers r u using?
>r u using a tree farm for it?
just one, level 9 one
it's self-sustained through infinite lava cauldrons
lava drips down on cauldrons, fills them, a pump pulls lava from under them into a spout, spout fills lava buckets, which get tossed into a depot (with an item vault buffer) and a mechanical arm picks it up to feed the blazes, putting the empty bucket back into the spout depot

if we had images left i'd show you

walls are closing in, i have failed, i keep failing
>>
Why is the fish thread so GAY bros
>>
>>80002780
I like the way he bites and then just stops.
Such a goober
>>
>>80059816
that thread is what i imagine this thread would be like if koishi was the op instead and anons went along with him
>>
>>80059783
>will be good experience if nothing else, i'm naturally shy but there's no other way to improve aside from throwing myself into those social situations when the opportunity comes
I feel like I wouldn't give much of an interview at all. I'm awful at speaking
>that was probably it then, advanced rocketry
I always wanted 2 build a star trek ship using that mod
have u built any kewl ships using that mod?
>for transport i just use flying mounts, and for hauling resources i tend to use teleportation, like quantum rings from applied energistics 2
what sort of flying mounts? Like flying machines?
>i wanted to build a subway in my friend's server using create trains but he ditched before i could
that's a shame. U could put a little pressure on him and ask him 2 play with u if u really wanna
>it was frankly boring but otherwise interesting, that was a mod from way back then too
from the way u describe this 2 me it sounds similar 2 the limbo dimension from the dimension door mod
at least aesthetically
>it's self-sustained through infinite lava cauldrons
don't those take a long time?
>>80059812
>walls are closing in, i have failed, i keep failing
wut do u mean?

y r u callin bigu gay?

Ask if he eats fish sticks.

He realizes that there are witnesses. He must re-evaluate how to get away with murder. But sometimes you just have to take your chances, commit to it and run. >>>/wsg/5785885

happy new year anons. i hope all of you have a good new year.
>>
>>80060055
Happy new years to you too, anon. Although, it's a bit late given that we're two weeks into the year already B^).
>>
>>80060034
>I'm awful at speaking
yup, same here
that's why i agreed only on the email interview since that's just written

>have u built any kewl ships using that mod?
i don't really remember building anything fancy but i did build a ship yeah
was pretty cozy, lots of glass to see the space skybox

>what sort of flying mounts? Like flying machines?
like dragons and huge ho-oh lookalikes
i have a pair of ho-ohs, one is orange and the other is blue

>put a little pressure on him
wouldn't work, lol
he's pretty much immune to pressure on games, there's no good reason to force him either

>similar 2 the limbo dimension
it was yeah
it started out as a section of extra utilities 2 but became its own mod later on (the beneath)
have a look around

>don't those take a long time?
the blazes also last for a long time, lol
although in prominence 2 my cauldrons keep drying up, not sure why but i suspect chunk loading shenanigans
i'm gonna add another lava cauldron underneath the boiler just in case, since i tend to do both side by side anyway but i don't want to expand sideways
>>
Does it get better anons? Please please it has to get better anons when does it get better anons???? Meows fucking losing it
>>
>>80060055
happy new year, my dude
may this year be filled with good fortune and opportunities for you, seize the day

>>80060216
well, you eventually go down so much that the only way left to go is up
so it does get better yeah, don't lose hope anon
i believe in you
>>
>>80060231
Thanks ;~; i've just been at rock bottom for so long yoi can't even see the sky from down here. But ya i mean unless someone murders me It's only up from here I suppose
>>
>>80060055
happy new year to you too! I hope you have a good year as well
>>80060172
>i don't really remember building anything fancy but i did build a ship yeah
was pretty cozy, lots of glass to see the space skybox
how hard is it to build a ship?
>like dragons and huge ho-oh lookalikes
what sort of mod is that?
>he's pretty much immune to pressure on games, there's no good reason to force him either
can u remind me
what is he playin rn?
>although in prominence 2 my cauldrons keep drying up, not sure why but i suspect chunk loading shenanigans
how do u usually format ur bases?
>>80060216
It does get better. What's wrong anon?
>>
>>80060216
I must sleep soon but I'll give you a present to make you feel happier. >>>/wsg/5785917

Can't really give you much hope. I don't exactly have a great life, but I don't really want for much either.
>>
>>80060034
>wut do u mean?
i have no fture im trapped in a cycle of trying to fix things and then getting thrown back down
>>
>>80060387
Not them, obviously, but same.
>>80060216
>>80060368
One more gift actually. >>>/wsg/5785920
>>
>>80060387
what have u tried 2 fix?
>>
>>80060261
aye, that sounds rough, anon
as someone who's this close to finish his climb out of hell, i can tell you that it's not an easy journey and you'll probably have to sacrifice more than you're willing to in order to get there
but the rewards you may get in the future can possibly more than make up for those sacrifices
take it slow if you must, one little thing at a time, one little change, one little habit
baby steps until you start the climb full throttle

you can make it, i know you can

>>80060347
>how hard is it to build a ship?
depends on the pack you're playing, i was on ftb interactions so it was a massive bitch to get to space, as everything is in that fucking pack
but originally not too bad, i assume

>what sort of mod is that?
mythic mounts, look it up

>can u remind me
>what is he playin rn?
baldur's gate 3 and path of exile

>how do u usually format ur bases?
i'm not a very creative person so i tend to do stackable sandwich towers on a skyblock-like setting (flat floating platform) or just pull up the armadillo strat and dig my way around things (but takes much longer to build anything, tons of spare mats though)
>>
AAAAAAAH I NEED TO POST PICTURES I'M GOING INSANE
>>
>>80060347
>What's wrong anon?
Relapsed again and family kicked me out and i blocked them, was complaining about it yesterday but still jaded I suppose
>>80060368
>I'll give you a present to make you feel happier.
...... thats so fucking cute baha. Say herro to my widdle fren
>>80060411
Ahaha hype!!! Thanks again yall genuinely makes me feel better ffs
>>80060543
Thanks anon glad you made the climb and it worked out juss been demoralized my family hates me and it seems every few years something bad happens that ruins all progressive made but c'est la vie i suppose
>you can make it, i know you can
Thanks c,: too scared to rope so imma have to keep on keeping on i suppose
>>
I managed to sleep through the night and wake up at a vaguely sensible time! The melatonin gummies are delicious.
>>
>>80060747
>demoralized
yeah that really sucks, i'm sorry about that, anon
i hope you're able to find some good companionship elsewhere

>every few years something bad happens that ruins all progressive made
y'know, i kind of stumbled onto this same problem growing up, and you know what i found out?
one thing that can't be taken away is your knowledge of how the progress was made, everytime you get knocked down, it becomes a little easier to climb back up to where you were
and since it's easier often times, you get the chance to climb up a little bit higher this time, and avoid the pitfalls that undid your progress last time as well

life has its ups and downs, but persistence goes a long way
let's make this climb worth it, shall we?
>>
>>80060387
The world might have it out for you but you just have to keep going. Eventually things will work out.
Fall down seven times, get up eight.
