At 30 years old what is a hobby I can pick up and have the potential to master?
>>
>>80061097
don't pick vidya games

they are a literal waste of your time
>>
>>80061097
that's probably the worst way to pick a hobby
>>
>picrel
that just looks like a job

The 10k hours thing is just a meme btw a lot of skills take less than 1k hours to batter. 1k hours of workouts will make you competitively fit. 1k hours of studying for a professional exam will make you a master of the material.

Lockpicking
Very easy to get into but hard to master, with many different disciplines. Can get expensive but you could get started with a couple paperclips or bobby pins and a cheap hardware store padlock.

Does this have any practical purpose? It's not like you can be a professional thief. It doesn't seem like a rewarding hobby.

There are literal businesses out there for people who lock themselves out of things, anon. From cars, to homes, businesses you name it.

You could save yourself around $100~300 on a locksmith call if you ever lose your keys and immediately justify the $30 or so cost of a good entry-level set. Not to mention the more grey applications of being able to bypass anything that takes a key (or combination) if the need arises.

But if you aren't immediately interested then it's probably not what you're looking for.

are you asking this because you want a second source of income or just something to do in your free time? Because the answer to both no since you'll get bored in the first 4 days and give up.
