Why do Americans think they are above working at Panda Express? Would you work at KFC given you would be paid 80k?
>>
You're fucking gay and retarded. Corporations have the moral obligation to pay a living wage to natural born citizens.
>>
>>80061407
Fewer than 1% are promoted to managerial positions. What is the median wage, inclusive of the part time hours they always limit you to, of a starting worker at Panda Express? No matter how hard they work, 99% will never be promoted above that.
>>
Is $70k a lot? I guess it is enough to rent a place to live, lease or borrow a truck, and go grocery shopping. This is bare minimum living though. How much money is left after bare minimum? Enough to comfortably retire in fifteen years and purchase 20+ acres and fund many activities done for leisure?
It is not that I am against work. I merely value my time. It would have to be at least $150k before I would consider something like assistant managing a restaurant.
>>
>>80061407
Older generations told zoomers to get good educations so they don't have to work minimum wage. A lot of zoomers feel like it's a scam they still have to work jobs like these despite graduating college. I don't see why these boomers are pretending like they don't look down on jobs like working fast food.
>>
I'm autistic and squeamish around food textures and heat, and cold, so I wouldn't work fast food even if it paid incredibly well
However, I do think that people who work there deserve a decent living, take it out of the executives' and shareholders pockets if need be
>>
Very few employees get the chance to be store manager and it's rarely ever merit based.

Source: worked retail for 7 years.
>>
>>80061555
where the fuck do you live that 70k is a bare minimum salary?
>>
>>80061407
>Would you work at KFC given you would be paid 80k?
Yup, and I would do a damn good job at it.

Now pay 80k please!
>>
>>80061555
Do you not understand how much $ is worth because your mommy still takes care of you?
>>
i make 90k~ aud as a team leader at a ground handler at an airport
id have to double that to be able to afford a mortgage on a house within an hour and a half of said airport
feels like im going nowhere honestly
need to find a job that pays this much in a small town somewhere and id have a shot but bumfuck nowhere has no jobs paying that with no skills
>>
>>80061436
You're naive, corporations and governments don't operate on any sort of actual moral framework, and if they appear to do so, it's all a show for their subjects. Moral belief systems are a tool to prevent social disruptions and dissent in the underclass, nothing more and nothing less. The people who run things can't afford to be hamstrung by a sincere belief in being "good", they only care about winning.

I am capable of addition, subtraction, etc.. My mistake was assuming the retarded were too. My apologies, I will try to explain it with smaller words this time.
So a 3 bedroom apartment in the nice part is going to be $4,000 a month, vehicle another thousand, about $5,600 for retirement. Uh-oh! Pay is only $5,800 month and that's before evil uncle Sam, the famous pedophile and rapist. So the dogshit pay can't really pay for anything. No retirement, no hectares, no hobbies. Literally working in order to work. It's a bad deal and only a very stupid person would be OK with such a pittance.
>>
>>80062952
4000$ apartment? 1000$ car payment??? What the fuck are you on about LMAO. New york city and a 75000$ car?
>>
>>80062923
Funny how New York is where a lot of immigrants arrive but you have to pay far out the ass to live there.
>>
>>80062985
They live 12 to an apartment and get on gibs, plus they usually work under the table which means no income tax or boomer gibs tax
>>
>>80062975
I guess if your time is worthless it might could work out for you. Put on your humiliation ritual costume and take the job like a good little cuck. My time is too valuable to waste like that. I need a good retirement, 20+ acres, nice house, nice truck. Anything less than this I refuse to consider. $70,000 is less than half of this. The thing about retirement is it takes money. I think you forgot about that part.
>>
>>80063237
>apartment
>I need 20 acres
Youre so fucking stupid nothing you say has any coherency. Just a poor little greasy clown. Always the low income shitters that are financially illiterate.
>>
>>80061407
70k a year in 2025 in a big city (which I am assuming where this job listing was posted) is jack fucking diddly squat. I am not even joking, it is fuck all nothing.
>>
>>80061407
It's a tragedy that I had to read this retarded Boomer's opinion.
>>
>>80061407
Because they are, especially if they're young and have a degree.
If KFC offered 80k a year on WAGES I would get absolutely boned on hours, no doubt in my mind. No, not at all. I would rather do another form of service work if it all levels out to $300-400/week anyway.
>>
>>80063237
look at bls.gov wage statistics as sort by salary to see what jobs you have to work for that based on average salary. Phlebotomists make roughly half that $70k in Ohio. Can you draw blood?
>>
>>80061555
I made $10 an hour in 2018 working at the home depot and that was a part time jobs so about $12,000 a year. $70,000 would have been insane to me at the time but I do make more now working from home thankfully
>>
>>80061407
>70k a year is nothing
You financially illiterate subhuman filth. Kill yourselves.

Imagine making 70k US dollars a year and still whining cuz you're too retarded to spend your money wisely.

You deserve to stay incels. All of you.
>>
>>80062491
as an autist, I have good reading comprehension, and did not miss OP's second question
>>
>>80061407
we should have factories and do real industrial work not goyslop production
>>
>>80062923
those are some awfully high numbers, I'm mighty curious as to what they define as "necessities" in that study.
>>
>>80061407
Status has something to do with it, getting pussy has something to do with it, but anyone with no prospects would be insane to pass up 70k to work at Panda Express. It isn't that they don't want to unless they're young and dumb, it is that they can't and won't since most jobs don't pay anywhere near close to that and the jobs that do require special training or a college degree. You are either putting in long, hard, strenuous hours that take a toll on your body or you're grinding away at college getting into massive amounts of debt to ensure that you have no out, you have to be dependent on a few entry level jobs that'll have you by the balls.
>>
>>80063788
70k is nothing in many parts of the country, especially if you have kids. Only boomers who don't understand inflation and believe the dollar today is still worth the exact same as the dollar 30+ years ago or thirdies who have no clue what first world cost of living looks like think otherwise.

The locations where Panda Express assistant manager pays that much are probably the same places where 70K is poverty tier, like NYC and San Francisco. These are also salaried positions that will make you work 60+ hours a week, which makes 70K less impressive. 70K is pretty good where I live, so I checked. My Panda Express has an assistant manager opening. Guess what, they aren't offering 70K. 52-58K is the posted range. It also says you need flexibility to work at other stores within a 50 mile radius, and I'm guessing a company car is not provided for that.
>>
>>80063651
Big cities have a minimum wage of $16 per hour
16 * 40 (full-time job) = 640 dollars per week. 640 * 4 (weeks in a month) = $2560 per month. 2560 * 12 (months in a year) = $30,720 annual salary
A $70,000 annual salary would be 70,000/12 = $5,833.33 per month. $5833.33/4 = $1458.33 per week. 1458.33/40 = $36.46 per hour.

$16 per hour minimum wage salary = $30,720 annual salary = $2560 per month (not including tax deducations)

$36.46 per hour minimum wage salary = $70,000 annual salary = $5833.33 per month (not including tax deductions)

You can find cheaper 1 bedroom apartments between $2500-3000 per month. So manageable on a 70k salary, but impossible on a minimum wage salary of 30k. Conclusion? You're a dumb faggot that can't do basic math.
>>
>>80061407
Nobody is making 70k/year working entry level positions at a fast food place. What the fuck is this person talking about?
>>
>>80061623
Yeah I have been working retail for 8 years (I'm a butcher, so I actually make a decent wage thankfully), and if you want to become a store manager you have to become an assistant store manager first for around 5 years, relocate to wherever the company wants you, and also have a business degree. Our store managers make six figures and also get big bonuses, but there is a huge lineup to get a position and being an ASM fucking sucks ass horribly, their pay is pretty bad and they end up having to work 60+ hour weeks a lot.
>>
>>80064221
Here's the math when the eternally understaffed fast food place requires you to work more than 40 hours a week to get that shiny $70,000 salary
>you don't get OT pay when you are on salary
>not a single restaurant in America has adequate staffing post-China Virus and since you are salaried management your GM expects you to fill in
>1458.33/70 hours = $20.83 hourly
>1458.33/60 hours = $24.31
>1458.33/50 hours = $29.66 hourly
>the busier the store is the less money you earn per hour because it requires you to work more
>when extremely busy you barely earn more than local minimum wage
>if your store hits sales goals maybe the GM will give you a $100 bonus
>if your store doesn't hit sales goals guess who gets blamed for not working hard enough
>>
>>80064129
>The locations where Panda Express assistant manager pays that much are probably the same places where 70K is poverty tier, like NYC and San Francisco.
The most expensive states like California and New York have a minimum wage salary of $16.5 per hour (as of 2025). 70k may not be luxurious but at least it's enough to just survive even in the most expensive cities in America, nowhere in the USA can minimum wage be enough to survive unless you live in some shithole city like Bakersfield. See the calculations here >>80064221
>>
I work full-time blue collar factory shifts and had to have my BS degree to even qualify for the job and I make like 32k a year after taxes, if some fastfoodslop franchise offered me 80k starting to be a manager I'd do it without hesitation.

exactly this, its a very common saying here to NEVER take a salary position (unless its explicitly a fake work cushy management job after grinding for 20 years of course)
its been illegal for a long time to not pay overtime to salaried workers funnily enough
turns out they just dont do it
what are you gonna do, rat and lose your job and become homeless and back down the ladder at the bottom rung?
first world country btw
>>
>>80061407
Seriously what the fuck is wrong with these twitter niggers' use of English. What the actual FUCK is he saying?

>Replies to this are insane.
to fucking what
>The logical implication of "no native born American should have to work at Panda Express for 70k a year" is... One Billion Americans
what fucking logic is this
and what does this even mean
>Mega immigration, Dubai immigration
Huh?
>We deserve it.
Deserve what?

>This is basically "full employment."
What the FUCK does "full employment" mean
>The Panda Express near my house is offering $70k/yr plus benefits for the assistant manager. You can make $100k/yr working at Chipotle for a few years and working up to store manager.
Is that what makes full employment? Does it fill up fast? Is that why it's full?

Jesus fucking Christ I hate you people
>>
>>80061485
>Fewer than 1% are promoted to managerial positions.
Then how do they always have a manager on duty in a store with 5 people on any given shift? You're vastly underestimating.

I have absolutely reported an employer for not giving overtime pay, got back pay covering the overtime I'd done since I started working there, and continued working there (now getting paid overtime) for years. You have to be a drooling moron not to report employers for violating labor law.

You make like $15/hr working at food places, retard. And I'll never work in this country. You might as well import jeets to handle your food with their shit covered hands because I never will.
