nah not really, zhongguo is a weird place for a westoid. unless you are ready to completely rewire the framework your surroundings built into you in the span of your whole life its not gonna work out, china is just too different. a bunch of people make it work, there is a sizeable expat community in Chengdu where i lived, a lot of them are staying there indefinitely but i moved back to my comfy little shithole after 6 months once my rent contract ended
