It was nice knowing you lads

They're mostly asymptomatic and pretty common. What treatments and prognosis were you given?
>>
>>80066585
>They are not a type of cancer, and it is very rare for them to cause any problems. It is thought that around 1 in 20 of us has a haemangioma in our liver. But they are almost always harmless, and most people never have any symptoms
ok?

No idea, I found out about it through a CT scan but it wasn't for my liver, it's 1.3mm by 2.9mm in size

You can still die from them if they rupture. 40% of them grow in size and I'm only 23 so I will likely need to get a surgery to remove it in the future, and those have like 15% fataility rate

There is still a slim chance I may have cancer though

That sucks. I got a similar mass found when I was around 23. Ended up getting an abdominal surgery to have it removed and it was pretty simple. They do abdominal surgeries without cutting you wide open nowadays so the recovery time is very quick. I went home a few hours after surgery and just stayed in bed for a week mostly. The fatality rates of surgery also cover people who are deathly ill and elderly and such, if you're in good health otherwise you should be just fine. I'm sorry about the potential scare of cancer, I really hope that when they biopsy that bitch it's cancer-free and you can breathe a sigh of relief. They had to take the mass they took out of me to get it studied in a lab and a week after surgery they called to say it was noncancerous. It's a journey before you can relax fully, but it doesn't mean you're going to die.

Just found out I don't give a fuck, since I know it's not real.
>>
>>80066683
How big was yours when they found it? I only had a CT scan and ultrasound, no idea how accurate they are when it comes to diagnosing whether it's benign or not

I don't have any measurements, but I remember the object the surgeon compared it to for me: a softball. So it was around that size. I remember being amazed when she gestured the size of the thing and being terrified some weird softball-sized growth was inside of me.
I don't know about imaging your specific issue, but those two imaging types should be able to get the internal structure of the growth to let them predict the likelihood. They might just be making extra sure you're alright, when I had mine removed I was told they're rarely cancerous but all growths removed from humans are tested for pathology to ensure health.

Thanks for the reply. If it's non-cancerous and doesn't grow I probably won't have it removed, at least my doctor said that the benefits of the surgery outweigh the risk if it's smaller than 10cm. I will probably just be getting additional ultrasounds every few months to check if it's growing and make extra sure it's not cancerous, thankfully I live in Europe so it's free

Sounds ideal, if you can get it observed and don't need it removed for now. I'm glad you get free healthcare for this. If you do end up needing it removed, I hope it's a laparoscopy like mine and fairly simple.
>>
>>80066878
yeah I read some studies that said laparoscopy has better outcomes and it doesnt leave any significant scarring on the skin. I hope there are doctors around in my country that are used to performing these

Safe and effective, TUMOUR WEEKS!
Shouldn't have taken it
