It sucks how there's no way to really go back to playing multiplayer video games from the past. You can't recreate the feeling. They just feel dead and empty now. I tried playing some Halo MCC multiplayer, and it just feels sad for some reason.

I guess I don't respond well to nostalgia, I get the overwhelming urge that I have to move on and that dwelling in the past makes me sick.

idk, my cs experience has remained generally consistent. it is nice to just zone out on comp matches all day. people usually don't take things so seriously, and nobody really expects much from you. sure, you can meet some annoying people, but it's kinda the only thing holding me together right now. this was the one thing i did all my summers as a teen. life was terrifying just as much back then as it is now, but for different reasons. i guess it's my cope for when things get too overwhelming irl. i just retreat inside, block out the outside world, and game, and try to forget about things. my mind has been so overloaded lately. i just need this type of simple stimulation to let my mind focus on something other than what's bothering me.
