>putting a pond under your home's entranceIs it worth it?
>>80068466Good luck moving in anything over 50lbs
No. It looks like shit and it's wildly impractical. Anything you can't carry is not going into the house. Carrying anything heavy over that looks so dangerous. That could kill someone. A woman probably came up with this shit.
>>80068521Also if it's dark outside and someone isn't expecting having to watch their step over wet rocks in order to get to your door, they could easily trip and fall. So stupid.
>>80068466This looks like decoration that 12 year kids in Minecraft do
>>80068466Seems useless but kind of cool. I have a house and wouldn't want to do something like that because I don't even have the energy to keep basic stuff working. The part of my fence leading to my backyard is still in shambles from a storm half a year ago.>>80068521Hopefully they have a back entrance for shit like a new refrigerator or air conditioning unit.
>>80068466yes this is very aesthetic >>80068486FUCK. YOU.
up...the chinese lions...the oligarchs living in some fairytail world but you can see it's like the corperate libertarianism two very epic beasts over the spooky watersyeah it's worth it step yo crib up niggadon't give into that communism
I really like the concept and have played with a few designs putting water in, under, or around a house. Lots of cool stuff you can do with it. Lots of extremely cool stuff that I can't figure out how to do. Unfortunately most people want their house to be a bad and uncomfortable place devoid of both function and beauty. So you rarely ever see any good inspiration.
Someone's gonna snap their fucking ankle
if i was a UPS driver and saw this silly shit id just launch your retarded package at the door at mach fuck
>>80069253>Lots of cool stuff you can do with it.imagine the mold
>>80068466Very neat, extremely impractical and a massive liability. No.>>80069422I used to work for UPS and they make it a point to tell you not to whip packages at people during training lmaoThe fucked up part is that I'm not joking.
>>80069438Mold is common even in houses miles away from the nearest pond. You're not making a very strong point here. The house needs to be heated and cooled too, houses which are miles away from the nearest pond have the same problems of heating and cooling. The same solutions work for all three problems because proximity to a pond is tangential at best to these problems.

>>80069422That kind of person could afford DHL over ur UPS monkey driving ass.
I think this is a cool idea but at the same time you're just asking for a lawsuit when some mailman or delivery driver makes a misstep and falls into the water while slamming their head onto a hard surface. Also, like the other anons pointed out, good luck carrying anything heavy through that door, though I assume they probably have a garage entrance or side door or something for that.
>>80070302>pay more>same shitty serviceWhy?
I like these ideas
People who have "pond as a sidewalk" money are not moving anything themselves. Based richchad making the wagie poorfags traverse his obstacle course to install his 90" 4k tv.
>>80068466>>80068521This, you should add a drawbridge.
>>80071719>wagie trips, breaks ankle and is out of work for months>attorney takes his case pro bono because it's a slam dunk>home insurance covers it but raises his premiums as long as he keeps the pond>now he has to decide to pay more than just the cost of installing the pond or remove itA fool and his money are soon departed
>>80068466seems basedonly losers and pussies care about things like practicality and safety
>>80071788>settle out of court, pay couple thousand to poorfag #2097>make all that money back in a half day>order another extravagant thing and repeat the cycleGod I wish I had "injure poorfag at my leisure" money
>>80071817Yeah I hate you're right. I work in the courts system and there's way too many poor idiots who don't have $100 to their name that will take a few thousand dollar payout over waiting and getting triple that.
It looks good with pretty much every type of house imaginable.
>>80072201It's a shame it is so uncommon. Even ignoring the practical benefits, it is beautiful and worth incorporating for that reason alone.
environmental storytelling
>>80068466id be worried about the water freezing and thawing in winter a lot, will cause foundation issues faster if it's not set up right.
It would be cool to have a window beneath the surface of the water.
