to function "normally" as a human there's essentially a middle bandwidth that is most optimal. If your goal in life is contentment than having an iq around or just above 100 is probably the best bet. You are intelligent enough to be able to adjust yourself to the world but aren't tormented by an excess of noticing patterns of information that serve no functional purpose. High intelligence is the exact same as being retarded just in the opposite direction. Nature spits out mutations because the chance that one of them is worth the mutation is worth it in the grand scheme. And males more often than females have these mutations because men are more disposable evolutionarily. High iq people come off as retarded to the average IQ person because the average IQ person has and never will have a reference point for the way they think. And the fundamental basis of how these people think is completely opposite. Normal neurotypicals are information reducing. As in they take all the extremely complex information of the world and synthesise it into something easily digestible. Where as high IQ people are only capable of seeing the endless complexity of life.

Those also elicit feelings of empathy which opens a lot of social, cognitive, and otherwise shut doors of the hyper intelligent autist. Even if only for a while. With shrooms, and therapy you may even be able to start fostering those connections to be more "online" but, probably at the expense of some intelligence/analytical ability in the long term.
