Adderall is like a weighted blanket for my autistic brain
>>80075536Adderall is speed in a pill form
>>80075536Man that pill was the beginning of my speed addiction. Fucked my life up pretty good but it was my own decisions.
>>80075588>Man that pill was the beginning of my speed addiction. Fucked my life up pretty good but it was my own decisions.story?
im too prone to becoming a goon machine to properly use it. im older now though, maybe it would be different
>>80075612Well my brother was (incorrectly) prescribed Adderall because he wasn't the best student in school. He said it made him feel weird, and I knew they got you high so I took them regularly instead of letting them sit around. I was a pretty fucked up kid so this spiralled into meth addiction into adulthood and it fucked up everything from jobs to home life to social life. I'm too drunk to tell that story any better. Stay away from drugs mkay
>>80075617Same desu. I just know I'd abuse it for degeneracy.
>>80075617>>80075632I used to be worried about getting addicted but I'm not the kind of person to go overboard or chaotically abuse something like this
>>80075627>I knew they got you high so I took them regularly instead of letting them sit around. I was a pretty fucked up kid so this spiralled into meth addiction into adulthood and it fucked up everything from jobs to home life to social life.just a bad home life?
>>80075652what mg are you on? i find 5 -10 acceptable, after that youre getting high
There's no drugfeel thread yet so I'll just post herePopped an oxy for the first time so I'm ready to nod out of existence.
just finished attempt #niggermillion at trying to get prescribed adderall but he just gave me prozac instead
>>80075719How do you get an SSRI over an Upper?to be fair though, you're asking the same question.
>>80075718opoids are trash imo.i hope its not fetty wap anon.
>>80075708Im prescribed 15mg twice a day lol. But yeah I think you're right, under 10mg is best for not getting high. But I just take a full 15 cause it's annoying to split. >>80075718beautiful>>80075719rip. You gotta find a doc who doesn't gaf
>>80075718I'm mad jelly. Still remember the summer night I crushed up my leftovers from hospital and drifted in and out of sleep. Hope you don't have a lot because that shit will make you want to repeat the feeling.
>>80075781No wonder this is fucking awesome, I feel like I'm healthy again.
I'm trying to get diagnosed with ADHD and have a psych eval being done next Friday. I have all the symptoms of inattentive type. I really hope it's really ADHD because I'm so fucking tired of being prescribed SSRI's and mood stabilizers that don't do a fucking thing.
>>80075986good luck and dont try too hard o7
>>80075536>amphetamines help me because my brain is special :)No, they boost everyone. You are not special. You are a drug user.
>>80076362No im saying that my drug of choice is great for my retardation tyvm
>>80075627did you at least become rich while on it? Why not?
>>80076362what the problem of being a drug user if it boosts you? the issue with drugs are that some people can't handle them, thus all of us have to have our freedom restricted
>>80075536I have autism and add, what does it feel like compared to when you're unmedicated vs are? I've wanted to try it in low dosages.
>>80076362If someone functions well on meth pills why not give them meth pills?
>>80076599>what does it feel like compared to when you're unmedicated vs are>unmedicated overthinking, anxious, always thinking I should be doing something, way too distracted by random bullshit I see or want to do. >medicated not living entirely inside my head, actually present during conversations, able to stay and progress on a task, not distracted by any little thing that I see or think aboutId say overall its hit or miss, it has its downsides. I dont take it consistently/as prescribed so I may not be the best example.
>>80075694Bad poop life
>>80076886I've heard it makes you lose appetite which eh, I have a good routine with that, is there any other downsides? It sounds like it'd come on handy, especially now if I'm getting tests in college, I live in my head WAY too much, it feels like I'm almost completely disconnected from the outside world. And the distractions/random train of thoughts.
do normal people always feel present during converstions? or is it just addy that makes you feel like that
>>80076923I mean yeah itd probably helpLack of appetite, teeth grinding, potential nausea/dizziness when taking the pill, loss of emotions/energy/creativity, addiction or dependency potential, depletion of nutrients, anxiety or agitation, excessive horniness. it seems like it's always different for everyoneI got the prescription because I was late to work nearly every day and was on my last suspension before getting fired. Now I just take it to keep maintaining my responsibilities, or to avoid smoking weed and wasting the whole day
>>80076983>do normal people always feel present during converstionsI really dont know but I wish I did. It would make sense why other people seem to have such an easy time talking to people and retaining the information. A lot of the things people do and how they interact and communicate, actually started to make sense after I started taking the drug. I now understand why other people can just move on from a topic faster than I can.Thats like the one thing I want to know, and if its true then I'd say Adhd is a real disorder.
>>80075536It helped PKD to create some really fun shit.Does it make you extra productive or are you wasting your additional energy to coom extra often? Also, are you the mysterious editor?
>>80077079>Does it make you extra productive or are you wasting your additional energy to coom extra often?I think it reduces my energy/creativity. As a kid, I was an auts dork who couldnt stop drawing on any blank space I could find. All the margins of sll my schoolwork, just filled with scribbles and shit. I learnt to draw eventually, but really I always knew I was just "stimming" in a way. Like I dont give a fuck about the subject matter, its all about the feeling of drawing a clean, full circle or watching a super thick line appear on the page. But because of that, Ive just been repeatedly drawing the same shit over and over and over for years now. Just the same heads and faces, on repeat. Ive tried so many times to work on some bigger project, make a comic, or make a portfolio, but even then, I will still get distracted and find myself mindlessly drawing the same shit as usual in the margins. This is like everything I do. I learnt guitar, but only because of how good playing the strings/chords felt. So now I can play guitar pretty proficiently, but all I do is the same fucking scales and 3 songs on loop, for hours, genuinely. The amount of times Ive been cleaning my room, see my guitar, and then waste hours just playing the same chord progression on loop is nuts. So yeah idk. Ive always been a way-too creative person for my own good. Made it hard to relate to anyone and its even harder when you strive to be a disciplined and organized person. Its frustrating to know you can do it, and have the skills for it, but cant discipline yourself enough to actually fucking do it. Also I think its relevant to mention that I have Tourettes and I think all of this is related to that.
>>80077023I see. I'd try doing it in the lowest dose possible, as for loss of emotions I'm already that way pretty much lmao and the other stuff I'd have to take note and weight out the pros and cons
>>80077201Sounds like you need a strict gf that helps you be a productive member of society by using carrots (head-pats, letting you smush her boobs, sexo) and the stick (spanking, degrading, withholding her nature's stressballs, etc).> reduces creativityThis is how modafinil feels like to me. I get more done if I'm careful to keep my focus on the main task but I feel that my creativity takes a huge hit when I'm on it. It's alright to shit out tons of boiler-plate code but planning the architecture has to happen before-hand while not on it.Do you have experience with Ritalin? Am I crazy of does it heighten the olfactory senses? I can't help but smell all people around me when I'm in the grocery store and it's mostly very unpleasant to smell people. I went into the soap section while still on it and the smell overpowered me.
>>80077305>Sounds like you need a strict gf that helps you be a productive member of society by using carrots (head-pats, letting you smush her boobs, sexo) and the stick (spanking, degrading, withholding her nature's stressballs, etc).lol im not straight. And Ive had accountability partners but it never changed anything. >I feel that my creativity takes a huge hit when I'm on it. It's alright to shit out tons of boiler-plate code but planning the architecture has to happen before-hand while not on it.Yes. I think overthinking is great for creativity and stims diminish critical thinking skills. >>80077305>Do you have experience with Ritalin? Am I crazy of does it heighten the olfactory senses? I can't help but smell all people around me when I'm in the grocery store and it's mostly very unpleasant to smell people. I went into the soap section while still on it and the smell overpowered me.No but thats interesting. Stims have a lot of weird side affects, like my nose drips a lot now. I havent noticed any changes in smell
>>80077487Does physical exercise help you to be more disciplined? I used to run an hour every morning when I was in my 20s and I was totally locked in all the time, using only caffeine and the dream of a better life. But that's a long time ago and one of my knees start to hurt if I run too much so I stopped doing it.I guess I got disillusioned seeing that hard work often doesn't pay out and that being the offspring of the right people makes all the difference and meritocracy is a lie to enslave naive noobs to work themselves to the bone. Fuck that shit.I saw what the lazy, idiot son of my boss gets payed to do basically secretary work. What a fucking joke.
>>80077566I wanted to start running before getting this prescription. But, I didnt. It wouldn't have been simple at all for me to balance that and everything else Ive fucked up. Im sure it would be very beneficial. >guess I got disillusioned seeing that hard work often doesn't pay out and that being the offspring of the right people makes all the difference and meritocracy is a lie to enslave naive noobs to work themselves to the boneI dont think I ever thought any different about this. But Im also probably more optimistic than you, in that I think anyone can do basically anything if you try enough. I think they both affect the situation 50/50
>>80075536i used to take two 15mg Adderall XRs daily, made me manic as fuck and i stayed up most nights. got put on vyvanse and it's been amazing. glad Addy works for you though
>>80078586I used to believe in meritocracy until I saw how literally retarded people get double my wage for work that requires almost no skill compared to designing electronic devices from the specification, design, testing and manufacturing. I sunk all my youth into educating myself but get much less in return, just for not being shit out of the right vagina. Fucking great system.
>>80078636Not OP just a random front page lurker.Yeah when you see meritocracy means nothing and every faggot huffing every manner of copium telling you to join in on their game of pretend, you heavily resent humanity and there's no coming back. No blinders for nothing. Job market is a joke, dating is a joke, life is a joke."just monkmode bro"Yeah working on breaking every innate conditioning I have, and my ego. Either that or suicide. Great advice people give out rather than "maybe we should band together and spark a flame so future generations don't deal with this"
>>80078877>monkmodeFunny that you mention this since I heard people calling me "sexy monk", probably for not messing with either gender and not being fat or something, lel. I have not completely lost hope to find a chill chick someday but I'm sure as hell will not jump at thots that try to lure me with crumbs of attention.I'm happy to chill in nature when the weather is nice and I'm fine enjoying my freedom and peace. I'm just mad at myself for being so stupid to listen to my idiot parents that sacrificing my youth for minuscule returns (while making others good amounts of money) is somehow a good thing. Oh well, I'll smoke a bowl now I guess, lel.
>>80078611how does vyvanse compare?? wouldnt that last longer?
>>80079835it varies between people but generally vyvanse lasts longer because it has to be metabolized by your body before it starts working. for me it's a lot more soothing and i don't get manic or irritable like i did with adderall. it's not a miracle pill but you should try it if you can.they have a generic version available too, which is how i was able to get it. it's pretty new
>>80076799You'll find out eventually, retard.
If I took Adderall would it make me better at pool?
>>80079901I played pool with my great grandad once. He fucking loved that shit. He invited everyone in the family to play. I went once and he just wanted to teach me the basics. I dont even think we played an actual game, he just really loved pool and wanted to teach me all the basics to get me interested. It was cool. Then he rode his bicycles around his mobile park and went out to dinner with him and my great grandma. They were both in their early 80s and I was maybe like 18-20.
Damn. one can disagree with someone and dislike them and unfollow them but leaking private DMs of someone else is not ok.Really disappointing behavior. Also, someone is messing with my ISP, right? This is a fucking hoax, right? Haha, very funny, can you PLEASE connect me to the real internet. Thanks a bunch and again, very, very amusing.
>>80075719>just finished attempt #niggermillion at trying to get prescribed adderall but he just gave me prozac insteadswitch psychiatrists
>>80076362>amphetamines help me because my brain is special :)>No, they boost everyone. You are not special. You are a drug user.this is true but it's also true that ADHD is very realbasically for some people, a small amount of amphetamine causes a 100x increase in functioning. the term for such a condition is ADHD
>>80079861interesting. I am curious to try it and see the difference. Adderall does "peak" very fast and having something less jarring would be nice.
>>80075617I abused it for gooning for about 2 months after I got my prescription then it all leveled out. Now it just makes it possible for me to actually be productive. Thank fuck for that because it was actually getting really destructive.
>>80075536Shouldn't it be more like a rusty spoon?
>>80075536What exactly do stimulants do against ADD?
>>80083252Instead of having your brain scream at you to do something with more stimulation when you try to do things that are productive, you are actually able to stick to a task.
>>80083264Will it stop my endless internal dialogue?
>>80083273Not sure, but for me if I am doing something that requires my brain to actually do something I can lock in and not be constantly distracted by random thoughts. If I am doing something mindless my brain goes in full rumination mode like always.
>>80083281i think that the internal dialogue is similar to "random thoughts". Anyways the clinic said it would contact me about a test but i have not received anything in a month...I just want to do stuff you know? I am a doer but i actually don't do anything which plunged me into a terrible state. Then they do me like this.
>>80075536It's great I don't know where everyone gets this speed nonsense from. Other than feeling less stressed and my mind feels more functional I don't feel a whole lot different.
>>80075536take it bby gurl
>>80083273I don't think so. But the co start stream of noise in my head I can actually focus into coherent thought so it's really nice. Doesn't stop the thinking.
>>80083252Your dopamine has two functions, the passive function of just giving you general motivation, energy and mood as its floating around your brain, and the reward system when they're absorbed in to your Dopamine Receptors (a process known as reuptake). People with ADHD/ADD have increased DAT levels, meaning they are reuptaking Dopamine far easier, which means a more reactive reward system (which is why it's so easy to get distracted) but end up with less dopamine floating around in their system (which is why ADHD/ADD makes it so hard to motivate you to start and follow through with tasks you don't enjoy) since the dopamine they DO have is being absorbed faster. There are two main classes of ADHD/ADD meds, stimulants and reuptake inhibitors. The stimulants increase norepinephrine and dopamine levels in your brain, which is what gives you energy, and having more dopamine floating around in your brain gives you more of the passive effect of dopamine. Reuptake Inhibitors slow down the reuptake of Dopamine, which, with the right dose, will lead to your dopamine levels regulating more similarly to that of a neurotypical person without necessarily pumping you full of a load of dopamine and norepinephrine, since your receptors will be absorbing it at a more typical rate.
How do you get adderall without a doctors prescription? I wanna try it.
>>80085125Buy it off of someone else, that's for all prescription medication if you can't get prescribed.
How bad of a idea is it taking one of those once just to see if it fixes you?
>>80085167It will fix literally anyone because it makes you feel more motivated, focused and happy no matter who you are (at the cost of making you addicted)
>>80085167it wouldn't hurt you
>>80085167this, I just rawdog life on 0 substances apart from one coffee on a winters morning (I stop in summer) and I wanna see what its like, I wont but damn I bet it feels good, like 10 coffees. Sometimes my brain works right once in a blue moon and I get everything done in a good amount of time and it feels great, then on other days I'm such a lazy cunt.
>>80086143>I wont but damn I bet it feels good, like 10 coffeeswhat is coffee supposed to feel like? I've never gotten an affect from it. Stimulants can give you a definitive buzz for hours
>>80085268Adderall is not addictive, wtf are you talking about
>>80086217it's definitely addictive. any stimulant is
a weighted blanket that suffocates you if you stay under it for long enough
>>80076580>>80076799you can't stay boosted foreverthe longer you consume stimulants, the more fried your reward system will be in the long term and can eventually lead to severe anhedonia
>>80086299I go days where I forget to take it. Doubt it
>>80085080NDRIs/DRIs (reuptake inhibitors) can still be stimulants (ritalin is an NDRI and modafinil is a DRI), amphetamines technically also inhibit the reuptake of dopamine & norepinephrine while also triggering the release of more of those neurotransmitters.not all dopamine reuptake inhibitors are stimulants though, bupropion (an NDRI) has a weak affinity for dopamine but is not considered a stimulant
>>80086392addictive in the sense that stimulants cause physiological and psychological withdrawal when ceased after prolonged usage (even at therapeutic dosages)just because you don't experience the same kind of intense withdrawal that a junkie who abuses stimulants at insanely high recreational doses does doesn't mean you aren't downregulating your dopamine receptors and negatively impacting your reward system
>>80086446My reward system is fundamentally broken, that's why I'm prescribed adderall. I've forgotten to take it on some days and it's changed nothing.
>>80086457that's great if you actually have adhd, if amphetamines help then you should by all means continue to take it.that doesn't change anything that i said though, stimulants do still possess addictive properties, even if they benefit you due to your condition
>>80086349sounds like a very pleasant way to go
>>80086208Its like Adderall with more of a body high and less mental stimulation
