Thoughts on the esoteric teachings of Jesus of Nazareth?

When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner as the outer, and the upper as the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male shall not be male, and the female shall not be female, then you will enter the kingdom of God.

Blessed is the lion that a person will eat and the lion will become human. And anathema is the person whom a lion will eat and the lion will become human.

Images are visible to men, but the light within them is hidden in an image. The light of the hidden Father will reveal itself, and his image is hidden by his light.

When you see your likeness you are full of joy.
But when you see your likenesses that came into being before you, which neither die nor become manifest, how much will you bear?

I am the light of the world. The All came forth out of me. And to me the All has come. Split a piece of wood, there I am! Lift the stone and you will find me!

Well it doesn't ring any bells and I can't recall what passages these are from so I am assuming this is from the nag hammadi

It's certainly not the sermon on the mount

It's from the Gospel of Thomas (100 AD).

Oh and another thing about the gospels in general

The only thing that makes a christian if you boil it down to the roux is that we believe that Jesus is God come to earth as man and resurrected from the dead for our sins. Am I mistaken? Wasn't that what the original Christianity was? The gospels were written way later, just for the edification of christians at the time of writing.

So what's interesting about the nag hammadi is that is a coptic account and not like the greek canonical gospels. It would be interesting if it was a translation of a lost greek document. But it stands at odds with the coptic churches of today, catholic or orthodox, and it's unlikely it will ever be legit

Op, we must dutifully observe the zealous Jews and Muslims who have kept the old testament for over 3 thousand years, and the same goes with the Catholics. Understand, the pharasies will exist in every culture. (Good book keepers, but not necessarily good people)
Speak to God, know it is God, and search for the truth, knowing that you will be shepherded to good lessons for you.

When you are as though you were before, you will enter heaven.

The lionheart of Judah devours the coward within man, making the man bold, that it may glorify God.

To those who see, they are only capable because they have been given sight by God.

The good that you are as yourself now makes you joyful. But if you see your ancestors and imagine the future, you are never strong enough.

The Lord God Almighty is with us always...

Interesting interpretations. But not Gnostic enough.

To be a Christian yes, you have to believe, but there are a fewore noteworthy pages within the Bible worth reading to understand what it means to even say that
>Read the whole Bible ffs

Mathew 13:10-17
Then the disciples came and said to him, 'Why do you speak to them in parables?' And he answered them, 'To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: 'You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.'
