The GameCube was the first console that was ever truly mine (the N64 and PS1 my family had were bought for the family, not me). But even as someone who grew up with the GameCube, I can tell you that it's massively overrated. It was a good console, but people nowadays are acting like that shit was something it was not. It was a mid console. Granted, a mid console in 2001 is better than whatever the fuck we have today. So maybe that's what's causing the recent nostalgia for the GameCube
