I grew up when Naruto was rising in popularity. it was a pretty comfy time.

I watched Dragon Ball Z since I was a toddler and Naruto since I was around 6, both on Cartoon Network. Got into Shippuden when I was around 10 but lost interest in it. From age 15 to 17 I watched the entire Dragon Ball series. I graduated high school in 2019, and the last English dubbed episode of Dragon Ball Super came out around the time that I graduated. Loved that shit

The following year, when I was 18, I decided to try and do the same for the Naruto + Shippuden series, but the very first Naruto arc Land of Waves blew me away so much with how mature and impactful and tragic a story it was that I decided to set it down. And then I tried again three years later, got through the whole series of Naruto Part 1 and loved it, but hated every moment of Shippuden and dropped it at around episode 80. Shippuden is totally soulless IMO i hated that shit.

I liked it until he beat Pain. the shinobi war arc was a snoozefest, I couldn't finish it

That was the time anime died. You are the cancer that ruined it for us oldfags. Fuck you.
