>ive been able to just relax and catch up on my studies for a bit before reality hits me again
Taking it easy like that is always important! Work too hard and you'll get burned out.
>whats interesting about your thesis anon?
It's just a topic I've found personally interesting for a while. Not in an academic sense, just generally.
Most days I listen to 20+ year old recordings of the same radio show and hunts for lost media are just fascinating to me.
We live in an age where it's technically feasible to have robust backups of everything and really we're only limited by inflexible copyright laws.
I think I'd lose my mind if I was researching anything else for four years.

>>80095109
>what an absolute smooth brained moron
I suspect it might be a cultural thing. Westerners seem to 'get it' a lot more than Asians and this is reflected in literature, of which I've not found any by Asian scholars. But I might not be looking hard enough
With that said, I'm sure every librarian in the world would agree that it's vitally important to keep copies of everything.

>>80095284
>been getting into retro autism quite a bit lately.
What era do you like the most?
I bought an N64 flash cart recently because the state of emulation is still quite bad after almost 30 years.
>Does that include vidya preservation?
Of course! I'll plan on having a chapter on emulation and decompilation efforts. That stuff is absolutely vital for software preservation.
>>

and every IT worker as well
what with our repos and backups as well, some businesses still use magnetic tapes for backup

That's one of the few nice things about being alive now. There's decades of stuff available so you're bound to find something you'll enjoy if you look hard enough.
>What issues are you having?
N64 emulation has never been particularly accurate, and it's always been very buggy with weird hacks necessary to get stuff working. I think it's because the games all use their own custom libraries. Recently there's a trend of decompiling the games into C to build native ports, skipping the need to emulate entirely.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywWwUuWRgsM
>Don't forget to shit on greedy modern companies for actively trying to hinder game preservation.
Rest assured, I will rant as autistically as I can about it.
One solution I've seen proposed is to allow people to just distribute copies of something if it's out of print. This would incentivise copyright holders to keep works available, because not doing that would mean someone else could just sell it instead and they'd be leaving money on the table.

Got the platinum trophy for Mighty number 9, it wasn't too bad, MM11 was harder for me, I would put as a 7-8/10 in the scale of difficulty.

The game is alright, a few annoying glitches specially in boss fights, but nothing too bad. The series had potential but since the Kickstarter fiasco, this series will remain dead,

There's too much money in the industry. We need lower budget games that are allowed to flop and not bankrupt the studio. That might get some of the creativity back.
>might give Zelda a try later using that
I'd recommend it. Majora's Mask is the best Zelda and it's probably the next game I'll play.
>You mean like GOG does?
Kind of, but he was advocating for it to be done without needing a license from the publisher. Basically a use it or lose it model for the exclusive right to make copies that can be rebutted once you start selling it again. He points out ways this could be gamed in the paper (e.g., selling copies for a million dollars) but it's a neat thought experiment and not completely unfounded.

>>80096310

I've never been into Zelda (or Nigtendo games in general) so I wonder what's so fun about them. I'll install the recompiled version and add it to my backlog for later.
>exclusive right to make copies that can be rebutted once you start selling it again
But the problem is that companies don't want to give those rights because they'd rather use them to make demasters that are way worse than the original games and cost way more. They want to force you to buy their newest regurgitated slop to maximize their profits. Have you seen how Sega delisted their classics collection from Steam to get better sales on their newer (worse) collection?

I didn't even hear about Shadowless B^). Yeah, the expansions for the main game just all seem like schlop. The last time I played I ended up joining a pretty casual guild but I also kind of just lost interest since there was so much raid stuff to do and I never really felt like joining the VC or anything and being more social.
>Kinda been on pause after the shitshow but ya i finished OWB so fucking fun lmao I made the sink there my personal player home.
The sink is the best home there is, yeah. So many storage bins and free loot plus a shop. It's great. You should post a SS of your character too, show them off.

It's funny you mentioned consciousness, there are some relatives of theirs that see through their skin(although apparently that's in contention now). they build up all kinds of little conflicts and dramas from each campaign.
Bahah ya i almost listened to the whole thing got distracted tho, inlove videos like that can tell they're having fun with it
>I'm usually pretty good at avoiding people without looking like an asshole though
Its a fine balance! Im extroverts font mean harm but gah someday just ain't the day. Honestly terrified of leashless dogs though I shouldn't be. Dogs do what the want put em on a leash I suppose. Yah she needs a lot of help she's a hoarder kek past trauma and shit like that , I'm not perfect either so we coexist so well
>didn't even hear about Shadowless B^). Yeah, the expansions for the main game just all seem like schlop.
Typos galore meant shadowlands* yah raid stuff can be intimidating i was an officer in wotlk cand wotlk classic lead raids we got kingslayer a buncha times for the new fags in our guild c: was fun but I timidated for raiding these days for some reason, never did vanilla raids. Most of it doesnt needd vc but with pugs it's better i suppose. Yah the sink is amazing did you spare the scientist robots? I dod found them charming but can't let them into the wasteland kek
>You should post a SS of your character too, show them off.
Maybe later I'm retarded I took a bunch of us don't have my controller atm you just had to push a middle button to bring it up, I'll find the folder c: yah they.seem cute and simple wonder what it's like doubt they're self aware

Glad you like it, he's got hours of content in various campaigns. It's nice to see a nation rise and fall through them, but it's all slow getting content out of him. Do you just enjoy listening to people having fun or people talking in general in the background?

Oh she has the dog on a leash, she just never holds onto her. I joke that her dog is mine's girlfriend since she's a black lab and mine is mixed with one and they get along really well. My dog has two joke girlfriends though B^). Also it's hard for me to be afraid of dogs when I'm pretty big. I'm confident I can handle any one dog myself and I've got my own with me whenever I'm walking outside B^).

My mom's a bit of a hoarder, but not fully in that camp. Does your grams give you any problems if you try to throw stuff out?

Also, I see. I wish I was in your guild, honestly. Sounds like it would've been fun. I did also spare the scientists, I can relate to them in various ways B^) and I've also had a number of people call me 'mad' over the years or compare me to a future mad scientist.

If you're on a controller then you'll love a melee build in a future playthrough. Also it helps to imagine echinoderms and simple animals like robots or basic AIs.

Bahaha such a player I'm sure hehe ya dogs are usually cool no reason to be afraid of then but they're big as fuck and I'm kinda tiny as shit most of us are in my.family besides the guys I suppose kek only natural. It was fun!!! I started when I was like 15 was kinda like a running joke kek me shouting at the pugs. Yah can't throw shit away without her permission which is just about everything. Yasss love the scientists especially Dala kek so fucking funny "my teddy bear" lmaoo. Yah genius and insanity and all that!! Makes sense maybe you should be a zoologist or a vet maybe?

Well, if she won't let you throw stuff out then you can at least cycle through and clean stuff. Maybe fold things so there's more space too. A nice little side project.
>Kinda both i suppose its so cozy to fall asleep too used to listed to video essays n stuff all the time
Video essays are nice, I even kind of made two(although one is pretty bad in hindsight). I'm actually watching a video kind of like a video essay on the schizophrenic stuff relating to Whatifalthist right now.
>Bahaha such a player
B^) he's very popular with all of the ladies. A lot of the neighbors really like him too, the old ladies who walk around the neighborhood in the morning will give him treats whenever I run into them and my one neighbor also likes him a lot. He's just a bit too hyper though so I have to really hold onto him and make sure he can't jump up on them(like by essentially hugging him while he's standing up).

Pugs are also very adorable. If I had the choice to go and do stuff though it'd probably be molecular biology and medicine. I've had lots of ideas involving all of that. Some stuff more memey though like various kinds of pets.

Yeah, with the melee build you suffer a bit early and deathclaws are pretty much always painful, but you get a lot better after a few levels(just avoid the deathclaws B^)).

Same, my room is rather clear, although over the past 4-5 years we've managed to clear out a good bit of junk so there's more and more room in the house. I need to work with her a bit more to throw out more junk sometime soon, the living room is almost all cleared now.

wew, so the first half of this video is just the guy in part making fun of him but the second half is going into his condition and the risks with him. It is of course a bit political, since Whatifalthist was himself political. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_IF_QGLGic

Right, true, I had a bit of a brainfart there. At least you have now been exposed to the brain worm that is the SMASHED and SLAMMED kings B^).
>Why i can't doubt intelligence behind creation i suppose I hate life but was never an atheist kek
I think if there is an intelligence behind creation then it isn't for life itself, but for the laws of reality that made the universe. The more you get into deep time, the more you realize that certain forms of life were inevitable to come about through natural selection. It seems the universe, or at least Earth, is primed to make cool shit.

wew, we ended up shredding literally hundreds of pounds of old medical documents here and using it as bedding for the chickens. The used bedding is being very crapily composted too. I'd be happy to send you a link to a video if you've got a throwaway email I can send it to. I'd rather not have the link archived on this board, as I'm sure you can understand.

Hope you can enjoy, although some of the humor in the video doesn't hit so well. Whatifalthist had something like 700k subscribers around the time he made that schizophrenic rant series. It hasn't really changed much since then, surprisingly. He did remove the videos from his own channel though.

Enjoy your nap when you do too and wew, hopefully you enjoyed the brainrot too B^). Oh yeah, they all start funneling in once you make noise. I hid on one of the rock crushers in the middle of the quarry on my sniper character to pick them off. Maximum cheese.

The universe being an organism can get even weirder when you know about things like galactic filaments. You could easily mistaken some pictures for things you'd see under a microscope. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaxy_filament

Life would be easier as a cat, but then I wouldn't be able to do all of the cool shit humans can do. At least I'd be nice and happy though B^). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-Lvv1f5Qu4 You'll enjoy this too, I'm sure.

yo anons, i have a new cat, there is a problem, how i'm supposed to take care of a cat when i already own dogs, it's baby cat, i can take care of the cat inside house while the dogs stay outside
>>
>>80099518
Yeah keeping her inside would help a lot, you can try and get your dogs and the cat familiar with one another so that they aren't trying to mess with each other too much but you'll need someone to likely help you hold the one dog you do it with at a time. I was able to do that with my dog when my sister got some kittens. Just discipline the dog if it does anything aggressive and pet it and be nice with it when they're calm.
>>
>>80099572
>her
it's a male cat, but it's literally a baby cat
>>
>>80099624
My sister's cats were kittens(babies) when she got them too. It helps to introduce them at least to the smell and sounds of a dog early to make them less aggressive, that's necessary for cats to be friendly with people too is them being around them as a kitten to get familiar with their smell.

I just had to hold my dog really tightly to let him smell the kitten and for the kitten to smell him. Scolded him when he tried to jump up to them, but he calmed down after a bit and they ended up being mostly fine. The cats would still avoid them but they'd also swap food with the dogs too.

Ofc I want to decorate it, I want my male living space (tm) to reflect my personality after all. When I just moved in there were some questionable (i.e. ugly) pictures hanged on the walls but I replaced them with my own art. Speaking of posters, I bought a box of pins so now the walls in my bedroom will look more festive.

>Has someone betrayed u in the past?

pretty much everyone i know did at some point, but i never cared much unless they were close to me
>Y is it so hard 4 u 2 trust ppl?
at some point, people are going to let you down, and that's a fact
the problem arises when, while i might let others down, i'm always willing to remedy the issue
i wasn't always, but i learned over time to change that behavior and listen to their side, to be there for them, because i value my bonds
often times, people don't return this, so when they let me down, they often think an apology is gonna count, but they don't do anything to remedy the situation, they just keep on breaking my trust over and over, sometimes in smaller ways, but sometimes they fuck up royally

i'm okay with trusting people who are willing to salvage the situation, who are willing to be better
people who are actually willing to befriend me, i used to be much much more distrusting of people but i got better with time
rarely anyone returns such efforts though, bonds have unfortunately become discardable to a lot of people
if things don't work out, drop the person and move on to the next

>cat
Very nice, look at this creature. It's an orcadactyl, from FinFin on Teo the magic planet. This game has been in my head for a year now, I love video games that are their own enclosed worlds, like they only exist when you boot them up. Liminal spaces, that's what it's called? Anyway, it gives a feeling of being a stranger in a strange world but it's friendly and welcomes you. A lot of games from 2000's have this same aura to them, that's why I like them so much.

It was fun, until my homeroom teacher discovered a fat stack of them once and came raising Hell to my parents. I learned to be more careful since that incident.
>maybe you can combine these who style?
Nowadays I try my best to make my artstyle at least a little more "realistic". I used to draw people like bug-eyed aliens with gray skin and no ears when I was like 12-15 but slowly learned to draw hands, draw anatomy, find things that will make me unique. Personalizing it while improving it, to put it simply.

>what sort of character is he?
A fun one, to say the least. Robert is an entity who dies and forms again, he goes through cycles of death and rebirth, like Sansara in buddhism. This incarnation has 5 bodies that are all *technically* Robert but have their own appearences, personalities and names. They act like a team (pack mentality, just like normal rats) and Robert is their leader as he is the most inteligent of them all. Other than Robert there are: number 2 named Michael (blondie sailor on picrel), number 3 named Final Fantasy-kun (white clothes and glasses, has a tv guide), number 4 named Cinnimon (black hair, 3 eyes) and number 5 named Cheeseburger (black shirt, long nose). Robert is the only one who named himself, Michael was named by him and others were given names in one of the official zines, by Randal.
>>
>>80100099
>what would u consider someone letting u down?
eh... it's quite subjective, depends on the person you're dealing with
sometimes you tell someone about something that bothers you and they leak it to other people, or they dismiss your problems
sometimes you ask someone for an important favor and they either fuck it up or refuse to help you
it really depends on the relationship you have with the person, but often times, in my case, people let me down by not checking in on me, as stupid as that sounds
i know it's selfish and i know people aren't obligated to do it, but it's still kind of a letdown, you know? i have trouble seeking people out as that never, not even once, resulted in anything good, and i have a big problem with freezing up when i want to talk to someone i'm not used to, so i half expect them to check up on me once every few days at least
but they don't, and i'm stuck here cursing myself for being stupid enough to believe they would, lol
it's a me problem at the end, i know that much, hence i'm too much of a cunt for people to be around

>r u saying a lot of ppl aren't villing 2 salvage the situation?
in my experience, a lot aren't willing to compromise and admit their mistakes, they think they're in the right
and a lot of times there is no right side, just two hurt people who are in a tug of war
i try my best to break this tug of war but... yeah.

let's drop this depressing subject, shall we?
i'm starting to get moody again and i probably said too much already

>Do u need 2 find the last 2 eyes or 2 craft them?

>i tried my hand at drawing at those ages and was always discouraged by how terrible everything looked, lol
I remember when I was 7 and MLP has hit the tv screens and I watched some episodes and was so inspired that I tried to draw my own ponies. Then I got older I discovered one of those pony creators and spend days making one-shot characters. For whatever reason I had a fixation on making them skinny tall and bald (I didn't knew anything about Slenderman back then, I just thought it was funny). Then when I temporary fell off brony stuff I switched to making one-shot characters in Paint instead. BEFORE that however I discovered Sonic and was instantly hooked because cartoon animals and cool fan animations (Sonic Shorts, my beloved). I was also obsessing over Pokemon at the same time (a la Chris-chan). I still have a ton of these old bad drawings from 2013-14 saved on hard drive So yeah, I can definitely say that these are the things that were my first creative endevours.

I remember hearing the connection was related to some trans event way back when and only Ikea or something supported them at the time and so the shark became endeared to them and a little meme plush. Also pretty cool critter. You'd probably love speculative evolution projects. There was one with a moon being populated by canaries and them radiating out to fill all sorts of roles in their environment. Some of it is a bit out there, but some of it is still relatively accurate to what you'd predict. Pic related.

It's one ratman who's body was split into 5 when forming due to an error in reality. They're all "Robert" but only one of them is THE "Robert" and that is the ginger-haired vest and suspenders clad ratman with kigurumi-styled eyes. I didn't mention it but they all share senses with each other, but it only works one way and not the other. For example, if Robert gets hurt so will be the other 4 but if something happens to a non-Robert ratman the pain will not return to the leader of the bunch. They're also (or at least Robert) are capable of causing psychic damage to others if one gets exposed to them for too long in a form of hallucinations.

mmm, microplastics (:. I imagine the magazines might've been disposed of though, sadly. Maybe they ended up loving them as much as you did though and are being kept safe. Also, I see. I imagine things might change after the war is over to be more like they were before. Europe wants Russian gas after all. Also, speaking of Russia, do you think Belarus should be annexed into Russia? Personally, I don't care much of what happens in the warzone. I live far away from it and so far there's reason to worry about it coming near me. I mostly worry if something happens that can affect my family, as I can adapt to changes. Though I will admit that my mental health declined extremely badly since '22 because of paranoia and meltdowns over it. Not gonna say that they (ukranians) had it coming because well, obviously they should know how to deal with neo-nazies in their country better than us but still, I was shocked at first that something actually started happening. These days all I feel about this is war fatigue, I just want this to be over and life to go back to normal or at least to how normal it can after all the sanctions and stuff.

The rural place where I'm from has a soviet bunker of its own but it's been abandoned decades before I was born and nowadays it's just locked and littered with whatever garbage people throw there.
>>80101325
Fun fact, but last year I had a dream where I was Randal (or rather a "Randal-shell" as Howdie calls it) and it was one of the most beautiful dreams I've ever seen. Being Randal would be fun but being with Randal is just as good.
>same for drawings, i don't have to be good at something to enjoy it, right?
Of course, I never been anywhere near art school and I have no desire to actually be taught anything. I'm just doing it for fun and to put my thoughts into something so they wouldn't rot in my head.

>Does that mean you're a sadist?
No I just really love Randal (crossed out).
The truth is a little more complicated but to summarise when I experience love or adoration it always manifests in desire to hurt that person along side normal feeling of love. I'm more of a M than S yet whenever I look at Randal I always imagine him getting the worst of the worst. It's intrusive thoughts with a sexual nature. Growing up I was never too phased by guro/ryona and even pics of actual corpses and dead bodies. In fact I enjoy guro and ryona but I keep it in fantasy realm, even if I was that quiet kid I would never commit a mass shooting no matter how much I hated them. I combat these thoughts the best I can and 2D fantasies are a great way to let them free without anyone getting hurt. But I truly love Randal and at the core my intentions are only good.
>do you ever have any interest in exploring places like bunkers or caves?

Come to think of it, Randal is a cosmic horror on his own. He just chooses to look like a high schooler but he shapeshifts too and does other unhumanely things. I've once heard of a trope called "Did you just romance Cthulu?" and that's what I just did.

He's described as a "very-human like cryptid" and older drawings from Captain show that he was born (?) and had went through development stages like a human baby would. I assume he learned to shapeshift after getting older, he mostly just assumes a more compact form (potato or hamster moe) to sneak around better.

Sounds pretty spooky. Do you think you can convince grandma to let go of anything or is she resistant to that sort of thing?

>>80102453
I've been using a Pomodoro timer recently and I think that's helped a lot with my productivity. The hardest part is actually starting, I find.
As >>80102535 says, you'll be far more productive taking 5 minute breaks a after stretch of work since you won't get burned out as easily.
>>
>>80102481
Hope you make some quick gains on trumpcoin, lol. Do you think it would be stable?

>>80102495
I think I am incapable of working in short bursts, lol. I am the kind of person who likes to finish what I start. I spent a few hours studying already, but I'm not done with what i wanted to finish... might as well get it done I what little time I have left for today.

>>80102515
For me, procrastination starts as a cue for distraction, of which there are plenty in the house, and so I inevitably get drawn to waste time. Bed, phone, pc, the shit in my room I need to clean, food to binge (i need to lose weight), and others. I find getting out of the house an elegant solution, but there is a problem: I cannot get out of the house in the first place if I am stuck in my bed, mindlessly scrolling through shorts on YouTube... today, I spent several hours brushing my teeth and washing my face because i was watching YouTube while doing it. Very dangerous. I need to restrict my phone to my room. What are your solutions to procrastination, anon?
I agree with breaking the problem down, but I don't find it helps, based on my working style... maybe for others.

>>80102535
Well, there would be time aplenty if I left the house earlier and went to the library. I imagine it would be quite comfy to study for a few hours, then leave for a quick stroll before resuming my studies. Ah, I was in quite a rush today, though.
I do take "breaks" by changing locations often, but I noticed that I am quite swamped with reading and assignments and I essentially have to work constantly to get it all out of the way. I do think I will figure it out, though! An idea to implement is looking away from the screen every 20 minutes or so; perhaps I should implement the Pomodoro timer more seriously.

Yes! For me, I will never be able to start at home, so I go outside, but even "starting to go outside" seems to present it's own challenge, lol!

Hello, fren. I am taking it easy today and hopefully you can take it easy once you get stuff done.
>>80102481
I can't believe you're becoming a gambling addict :pensive:. Also it's alright, I did also kind of ramble a bit too much and go into waaay too many topics. I'm really glad you liked it though and I'd be happy to explain anything you might not have understood. I've gotta record the next two videos soon too B^), one is gonna have all kinds of odd selective breeding experiments/projects. Garage mad science at its finest B^).

She's not willing to let go of the smallest thing she wants to inspect everything before it's tossed. She wants to trash it all but isn't willing to let any of it go, trauma responses are so interesting and so depressing I suppose
>>80102571
Ahaha yaa i feel that so many distractions and so easily available. Do you have any idea why your doing that tho? I try to analyze myself that way and it's useless fruitless but it's a good start. Could say maybe you're stressed out and anxious in general? It is dangerous so so easy to fall into that trap. I'm no better kek browsing 4chan in bed most of the day while problems pile up
>What are your solutions to procrastination, anon?
I dont have any they just run me over. Or I usually deal with them at the last possible second, idk what's wrong either but it seems more and more common these days I suppose. Ya I usually try to focus on the smaller problems and work my way up from there but it's like pushing a joilder up a hill sometimes. Whats your working style?

That sounds a lot like my dad. He has business records from years ago that he doesn't need because he's basically retired that he refuses to throw out. I hope I don't get like that when I'm older...
Thankfully my mother stopped giving a shit and just gets rid of stuff without telling him now. It's not like he'll notice.

it's hard to say! right now it seems to get short bursts of price increases and then it dips slightly and stagnates for hours. rinse and repeat. it's slowly but surely climbing it's way up but i don't think it'll be like that forever. ill likely cash out tomorrow or monday just to play it safe

>Ah, I was in quite a rush today, though.

>I should implement the Pomodoro timer more seriously
it seems to work well for eiki. personally, when i used to get started on school projects or had an essay to write, i would stick through it until it was done. then i would take a long break once i was done, then review my work afterwards. short work times with breaks in between would make me unproductive so i tried not to do that. experiment with different work techniques, you'll find one that works for you eventually!

It's been quite a while since I was in a vocaroo thread, but I do get told I sound like all sorts of different people. Last time I was in a vocaroo thread, iirc, I kept being told I sounded a bit like Patrick Bateman. Fly Me To The Moon is a good choice for a song to sing though B^). honestly that's a damn shame then. the way that blood can pool in the brain and torso to redirect to the organs that need it is pretty medically fascinating when you approach it as an exercise in abnormal vascular structures that are optimizing for increased neurocognition. maybe it's a neurodiverse thing? idk. either way blood coming back to your feets and toes = good times ahead for those with foot fetishes

hey there friendo, don't be so hard on yourself! just because you make love in a different way than other people doesn't mean that you're any less worthy of expressing physical affection or that anything is wrong with you!

remember: god made you in the image of light, life, and love! if you weren't made to experience all aspects of sexual pleasure, why give us orgasms as a method of producing more images of god? just because something doesn't float your boat doesn't mean it's any less valid! god loves you! <333

i wouldnt suggest watching them unless you have some trauma that needs comforting. theyre really disturbing and they reek of early and late 2000s edginess. but its very clear that theres a serious backdrop about sexual trauma and how it feels to bear it.

>I've never been a huge Zelda fan
I've always been biased with Nintendo because they try to be the Apple of the gaming industry and I've lost all my respect for them since they took down yuzu. If anyone is trying to seriously monopolize gaming, it's them. I can appreciate some of their older stuff though and plan to go through all the major Zelda games sometime. What are your thoughts on the Switch 2?
>Either sell things as they came out or someone else will do it for you
Selling old games just isn't profitable. Only a minority of people is interested in playing old stuff, and even less people are able to play it on the original hardware, which means having to remaster games so that they can run on modern hardware, and that translates to loss of profit because they could be making demastered slop to cater to a wider audience instead.

Robert and his group are vermin, they infest Randal's house by the end of volume 1 and there's a whole story arc dedicated to them which ends with all the other ratmen perishing and Robert getting forcefully kicked out (cause he's like a person in terms of intelligence) into the woods not to be seen again. Sony was very litigious over PS1 emulators in the 90s but they seem to have mellowed out now, partly because it backfired and courts held they weren't infringing. Emulators are usually above board when they aren't being distributed with bios images and decryption keys, which I think is where Yuzu messed up.
Incidentally, Nintendo hasn't gone after any of the decompilation projects, just pre-compiled ports with the original assets included. But TakeTwo did go after a GTA decompilatoin project.
>What are your thoughts on the Switch 2?
I don't really have any. If it's like the Switch it'll have some fun games I'll check out but I probably won't use it in handheld mode except to play VNs in bed.

I've been slacking off recently and have been trying to get back into the mindset of actually doing work. It's going okay.
>i thought originally you were like going for a masters or a phd in some sciency field but no just for passion
I'm getting a PhD because I need it for the job I want, but I'm lucky enough to choose the topic so I figured I'd go with one that means a lot to me. My thesis focuses on legal reforms that would make media preservation a lot easier. Perhaps I'm too optimistic, but I hope that my dissertation could inform policy changes somewhere, even if it is just more permissive rules for libraries in a small island nation.
>i think that's really cool anon of you scouring the web for some near lost media or fully lost media and being the first to rediscover it, in a nice way your kind of like those sterotypical tomb explorers, but it must feel hella good when you do no
To be honest, my experience is just limited to downloading YouTube videos I like or sifting through Archive.org, or seeding torrents for obscure movies. The real work is done by others.
>anything in particular have you think is really interesting?
The workprint for The Sweatbox is really interesting. It's a documentary by Sting's wife about Disney's Kingdom of the Sun before it got scrapped and remade as The Emperor's New Groove. It's a fascinating look at film production but it's also very sad to see all the effort that went into the original be dismissed by higher-ups every time they showed it off.
I also own a lot of production art for Azumanga Daioh. I digitised all of them before I moved out but I still need to clean them up and upload them somewhere.

an airship would be... quite complex
it's a nice suggestion though but the build height limit would mean i'd either have to make it small and complete shit, or lower it to make it large enough to look nice

you could do just boats in general, and just think of the sky as like your own sea of air, or scatter little fractuals of stained coloured glass around or make a path of it, you could maybe make a windmill item where you gotta hopscotch your way to on a broken path or cloud cities, really a lotta things you can do if you don't wanna do an airship in the sky

I don't know anything about addiction but that sounds like a good sign. Best of luck with your next stretch off the smokes.
>i'm basically transitioning from neetdom for around a year to back to the grind
I was a NEET for most of the last few years and only worked ~10 hours a week when I did have a job, so I'm finding the adjustment pretty difficult. With moving countries as well I've just treated it as an excuse to not work very hard. Deadlines are now starting to bite me in the ass...
>i'm actually kind of considering joining the army
Is that the branch you have in mind or are you considering the others? I've heard good things about the coast guard.
For a while I considered joining the Navy as a submariner or something but I'm not actually sure I could manage it. Too scrawny and I generally prefer solitude.
>are you like going for something around like the law sector
Yeah, I'm mostly looking at this from a copyright angle.
>i could never keep up with that kind of productivity so keep at it will ya
I can usually go for longer stretches without breaks but if I do that I tend to peter off and get distracted and not return to work. Doing it this way helps me work for longer in total.

>Sony was very litigious over PS1 emulators in the 90s
They already had emulators back then? That's crazy.
>decryption keys
Correct me if I'm wrong because I don't own a Switch so I don't know how it works exactly, but the fact that their hardware requires something like that to run games already feels like a threat to emulation and game preservation, unless they keep providing ways to access current titles in the future (highly doubt because they keep putting pointless gimmicks in their consoles, making backwards compatibility almost impossible on newer official hardware). Maybe they're right about it now for "facilitating piracy" because it's a newer console, but in a few decades that greedy mindset will have made emulation of current consoles illegal.
>Nintendo hasn't gone after any of the decompilation projects
They've been going after people who show their games on jewtube, how pathetic is that.

thank you very much again, to be fair considering how much tobacco in general is getting inflated beyond on belief i think i might just cut off my full access in general

> With moving countries as well I've just treated it as an excuse to not work very hard. Deadlines are now starting to bite me in the ass...
i mean hey you got started so you got that to hope for and well you want to make progress so theres that, what country did you move to if you don't mind me asking,

>For a while I considered joining the Navy as a submariner or something but I'm not actually sure I could manage it. Too scrawny and I generally prefer solitude.
the reason why i think about the army i decent bit is because i am just like completely surrounded by online friends who are in the army or have previously served or have ties, i plan on either going through officer entry and becoming a health officer or going through enlisted and becoming a medic or pick up a trade like vehicle mechanic / a recovery mechanic or a telecommunications tech or an electrician or an carptner when my contract expires in 1 year, the army contracts are 6 year so it surely is quite a decent bit, i'm just worried my history of mental health might fuck up my chances

>I can usually go for longer stretches without breaks but if I do that I tend to peter off and get distracted and not return to work. Doing it this way helps me work for longer in total.
for me it's kind of an all or nothing approach id say, like i either study for a pure extended period of time or don't, for some reason breaks don't work too well for me, like i can work for a straight 8 hours no break at my job but not so much an hour with breaks

>That's what makes it all the more tragic to watch. All the test animation and songs made just to be scrapped...
it's so fluid, it isn't even like sketch boards it's fully animated so fluidly, sure they're not a complete product but still
>>

>They already had emulators back then? That's crazy.
Yeah, it was a commercially sold thing and it worked shockingly well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OqMcqRI-xA
>but the fact that their hardware requires something like that to run games already feels like a threat to emulation and game preservation
Yes and no. You're able to decrypt and dump roms quite easily and I wouldn't be surprised if the entire library has been dumped somewhere. Like with how you need to supply a bios for some emulators, you're supposed to get your own console's keys, but basically no one does this since you can just find working keys on the internet.
I wouldn't worry too much about copy protection being a barrier. Even really sophisticated stuff gets cracked and the warez scene enjoys a good challenge. Generally there are legal protections for break copy protection if you're archiving stuff or if it's necessary for functionality.
>They've been going after people who show their games on jewtube, how pathetic is that.
Nintendo's always been very funny with this stuff. Chalk it up to Japanese businessmen not adapting to change and realising how bad the optics are. Asia generally has very draconic copyright laws and norms, which probably plays a role as well. I want to say SEGA got into hot water ~15 years ago for doing the same thing but they seem to have eased up.
>Creativity was a thing back then.
It helped that there weren't many norms back then and a lot of stuff just hadn't been tried before. I'm not sure you could make a game that doesn't feel derivative in some way today.
>>
>>80105267
>to be fair considering how much tobacco in general is getting inflated beyond on belief i think i might just cut off my full access in general
I don't know the specifics but I think the US introducing or raising the tobacco tax did more to cut smoking rates than any public health policy. Money's a good motivator.
>what country did you move to if you don't mind me asking
Hong Kong
>the army contracts are 6 year so it surely is quite a decent bit
You seem to have a good idea of what you want to do, which puts you in a better spot than most applicants, I'd imagine.
>for some reason breaks don't work too well for me, like i can work for a straight 8 hours no break at my job but not so much an hour with breaks
Everyone's brain is wired differently, I suppose. It probably doesn't matter that much in the grand scheme of things.
>it's so fluid, it isn't even like sketch boards it's fully animated so fluidly
Makes you wonder just how much stuff is left on the cutting room floor that we'll never know about. I vaguely remember hearing that there was about 90 minutes of animation for The Simpsons Movie that just went unused, and another 90 minutes of animatics. That's something I'd like to see.

>there are legal protections for break copy protection if you're archiving stuff or if it's necessary for functionality
I see, then hopefully Nintendo won't try to invalidate these protections when the Switch goes out of production. All of this will still require the community to do the work though.
>I'm not sure you could make a game that doesn't feel derivative in some way today
It's getting harder to come up with new ideas for sure, but at the same time there's this hesitancy to try something new (or old but no longer fashionable) for fear of it being unprofitable, so now everyone just plays it safe and copies each other. In a way though I'm glad that there's this trend with remakes right now because that's ironically the most innovation I've seen in the tripleslop industry in a while.

>All of this will still require the community to do the work though.
That's always been the case. Companies are (or were) generally very bad at archiving their own stuff. All the master files for FFVII got deleted because Square was too cheap to buy some more storage when they started making VIII.
The music industry is just about the only one that took care with this stuff, but they still have things like fires that destroy half their master tapes.
>there's this hesitancy to try something new (or old but no longer fashionable) for fear of it being unprofitable
Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but I can't think of the last indie game I played that seemed genuinely novel. Not to say anything of the quality of these games. Even without market forces it seems difficult to find stuff that isn't just iterative. Death Stranding might have been the closest thing to that for me.

do you invest on coins often? this is my first time. so far luck has been on my side!
>how was ur day 2day?
it was pretty good! i had planned to go walk in a park trail this morning but it was super cold so i decided not to. tiktok was canceled in the usa (for like a 12 hours) so i couldn't doomscroll. i ended up watching tv, i feel like i haven't sat down and watched whatever was on tv in forever.
later i took my dad out for lunch and it was nice! after i took him back home i went out window shopping in random stores. you ever do that? then when i came back home i did some chores
how was your day?
>>80103426
>how much did you buy it for?
i took a risk that night and put in $250 when it was at around ~$15. sold it all in the morning when it was around ~$67. bought again after the massive dip that happened today and i managed to sell my initial investment already since it went up already.
so now what sits in there won't worry me as much if it happens to plummet. i plan to leave it there and forget about it for a month for funsies, see what i come back to
i got lucky enough to make a good profit. it's nothing life changing but im happy with it. it was a rollercoaster of emotions the whole time though haha i wanted to sell soooo badly so many times. but i told myself that i would wait until it hit $50 minimum
did your investment grow?
>>
>>80113471
>around ~$15.
pretty damn good profit then, yeah
>after the massive dip
i thought about buying some too but i decided not to
i missed it when it launched and it had skyrocketed to like $77 by then, thanks to bakanon visiting my mc server, i was 30 mins late, lol

then again even if i did buy anything, i barely have any funds to invest anyway
$10 was the most i could afford, the rest of my $90 i put in a rebalancing bot for the top 10 cryptos, already sitting at like $102 so i'm not complaining
that's basically all i have to my name, like $150 lol
not sure if there's gonna be another dip for me to buy but it looks like there will be, the coin is terribly overbought as of now

>Most people can't into computers
Yeah but the thing is, consoles used to have a purpose, each one being unique in their own ways and giving different experiences. Now that is almost not the case anymore. Even Nintendo, the last company trying to be "unique" with the types of games they offer, is struggling with that. The only reason to buy a Switch is because Nintendo has still some monopoly on the industry and they release a good exclusive every once in a while, or so I've heard. Other consoles have become obsolete and only exist because normalfags are dumb, like you said.
>I can't think of the last indie game I played that seemed genuinely novel
Sometimes a unique idea comes out, but it's true that most games can be put under an existing genre and be compared to existing games. At least some indie devs try different things to make their games more interesting, while triplesloppers have been stuck with the same 3 genres for decades.
>Death Stranding
I haven't played that one because I've heard it's a boring walking sim with a silly plot and Kojima is the embodiment of a meme. Did you enjoy it?

This is probably a good thing. Exclusives are a nice way to show off what your console can do but they've never been good for the consumer.
>while triplesloppers have been stuck with the same 3 genres for decades.
I feel like things have gotten a little better since the late 2000s/early 2010s when almost every game was an fps game where the only colours were shades of brown. Not good, but better.
>I haven't played that one because I've heard it's a boring walking sim with a silly plot and Kojima is the embodiment of a meme
That is an entirely accurate assessment.
>Did you enjoy it?
Yes, I loved it. I didn't expect to find it as compelling to play as I did.
People like to joke about all the weird choices Kojima makes, and the bizarre features he insists on having in his games but the man stands by them and I respect that a lot. You can say a lot about his games but they aren't uncreative. The only other director I know of who makes weird games like that is SWERY but those lack the same polish. Maybe Yoko Taro as well.
The MGS2 making of is a very interesting watch, so much effort is spent on very minor details (like real-time ice melting) but they all add up to make something really memorable, and those sorts of things are present in all his games.

I'd probably do the same, honestly. Sometimes I wish I was a NEET again but then I remember that I vastly prefer living alone so I guess it's not really an option.
>do you plan on living there full time or just on an extended visa
I'm not too sure. I like it more than the UK but I'm not sure I could live here long-term, especially as the full handover to China looms over.
>is it difficult to assimilate in since its not english
I'd say so. It's a bit awkward using English here but you can generally get by. Even people that speak it fluently aren't confident using it. If I stay long-term I should really try to learn some Cantonese, but tonal languages hurt my brain and I'd be very hard to understand for a while.
>yea specially get the recluse tendencies considering how just different it is
I'm reclusive anyway but being so far away from my old life means I've doubled down on it. I don't have any acquaintances here so I just stay in my bedroom.

>haha that's so cute! it's a shark he's dancing with right?
Yup! Pretty sure it's a nurse shark in that webm, they don't really have gnarly teeth and they have no interest in big prey. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nurse_shark
>i know they aren't all blood thirsty animals but im so shocked one is that docile, no resistance to the man whatsoever
Most predators are pretty intelligent and it's no wonder why both domestic cats and dogs became our best friends. Most birds of prey can be made pretty docile with their owners too, falconers. It helps if you raise them from a hatchling, but even catching and training them from the wild can work.

Another shark who wouldn't be so aggressive would be the zebra shark, who's got a cool look in my opinion. They get their name from their young(who were a separate species until the two were realized to be the same species) who do have that striped appearance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zebra_shark
They largely eat shelled critters and so have crushing jaws and only really want to eat things that can fit in their mouths. Bonnethead sharks would also be a dream fish for me to keep, because they're the only known omnivorous sharks out there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonnethead
I'd love to breed them to be more herbivorous. I see them as a potential way to supply the shark fin soup market in Asia whilst being easily farmed.

Seeing a furfag suit in real life was incredibly bizarre tho LOL just no idea how to properly react to that. Yah it's mostly an extrovert game you do a lot better the chattier you are. I just give them the food refill drinks curtsy and fuck off usually and still got a ton tho.
>Make sure you find a good restaurant to work at too, so you can get discounts on their good food B^).
Ya im plotting!!! Maybe another steak house, usually they would feed me for free too it was so good c,:

I'm good!! Grams making spaghetti it smells fucking amazing. Prolly gunna level my toon on wow some more and take it easy it's extremely cold outside today so nobody's trying to make me go outside! Hby??

Yeah, my sister was never frugal with all of her tip money. I think at one point she somehow owed her employer money? I'm not sure, but she could make enough money to at least pay that off when she cut out the ubereats stuff.

I've heard it joked before that if we got rid of all furries then internet infrastructure would completely collapse. The 'tism can truly help get people to really great positions.
>Ya im plotting!!! Maybe another steak house, usually they would feed me for free too it was so good c,:
That sounds great, post any great steaks you get too B^). I'm just watching some stuff right now and writing some bullet points for future things. It started getting cold down here too, so much wind is coming from up north.

I'm sure the managers probably get a bit envious over all of the tips, so I wouldn't be surprised if they've come up with more than a few ways to try and get some money out of it. Wew, sometimes furries coming into a town isn't so pleasant though. I've heard stories of people finding used diapers thrown all over the place during some conventions.
>Yas!! Just gotta wait for them to snag me pretty much all I've been doing since I started working.
Hell yeah

Not them, obviously, but not all crustaceans are sweet. Crabs definitely are, but you won't taste too much sweetness in a lobster if you roast it. Once you crack them open it's just normal ol' meat. You'd be more grossed out at what we do in the south where we suck out the heads of crawfish.

waking up at 8 pm and taking it easy
today i had a dream that i went out for a coffee with an old man, who happens to be someone who died today, he was a pretty famous sports journalist over here and the press is all talking about him and his legacy
it was pretty nice and comfy, although it was blazing hot, we went out to a bar and got some coffee
i don't even drink coffee but i wouldn't refuse the invitation, i just wanted a chat with him and that's what i got, i remember he told me a story but i forget what it was about, lol
rest in peace old man, and thanks for the many stories over the years

i also dreamed of some retro-futuristic space travel map and abandoned spaceship
the entrance was inside an also abandoned gas station, and the map had one of those holographic ps1-like looks to it, showed a bunch of buildings for businesses and authorities that we could select to go to
i woke up before i could find out if shit really worked or not, lol

>>80115468

Maybe. I think I'd have to psyche myself up a lot after last time. I'd like to enjoy something like that but I'm not sure I can face it without feeling like that again.
>you'd feel quite happy and energized instead of feeling sleepy.
Probably, but the problem was less that I got sleepy and more that I reflected on the day and got very depressed and was unable to do anything for a couple of days.

>>80115416
I've seen that image a bunch of times and I always wonder what it would be like to live there. I don't think it would be that bad, but most people seem to hate the idea of it.
>I like being closer to the ground
Usually lower floors are less desirable because they're closer to the roads and therefore louder. Does the noise not bother you much?
>how much time it takes to get inside a "unit"
That's fair. I'm on the ninth floor and it can take an eternity for the elevator to arrive. Much taller buildings probably have it even worse.

this is a venting post, but i just have a horrible realization of my fucking life, i'm no longer a gamer

i used to be a gamer when i was a sony fan wayback to playstation 1,2 and 3 days, but ever since i lost my playstation 1 because it stopped working, i stopped being a gamer, i been playing only free games that runs in my potato PC, but the worst of it all, i can't even afford games anymore

i don't know if i'm just a fake gamer or just a faggot, well, at least i beat cavestory

>>
>>80119348
SS13 is a pretty good game that's free and shouldn't be hard to run on your PC. It's a multiplayer game though and not the most intuitive but I've liked it a lot over the years.

How about emulator stuff? There's tons of free games that you can play through emulators.
>>80119352

I worry about mine too. I wish I could give some more comforting words but losing your parents one of those tragedies everyone has to go through at some point, as sad as it is. Just spend as much time with them as you can. Even if they end up being okay, you'll still have shared some nice moments together.

i just beat Super Adventure Island because of nostalgia on znes, the Problem is, This is STILL a potato PC, i can't even think of downloading or buying that many games or emulators as much as i wanted

as a matter of fact, this PC isn't even mine, mom give this PC to me when my actual other potato pc died

i don't know if i'm still a gamer anymore
>>
>>80119468
I'd say you're still a gamer, you'll be able to play just fine once you have a better computer to work with. What happened with your old PC?
>>
>>80119492
it just out of nowhere stopped working, i tried fixing, i tried calling for help, but it just stopped turning on, that pc had Chaos Code, Dust, and Mother Russia Bleeds, games i liked playing and my old pc was good enough to run, but then, it just stopped working, i swear i didn't get any malware or virus, it just stopped working

i'm glad i still have this one, but sometimes i feel like i'm behing time, there's already windows 11 pro and i don't even know what the fuck copilot is, i tried booting this computer as well but it didn't worked

i really do feel behind times, soo many games to play and i can't play nothing

i know it sucks, but i don't feel THAT bad, just unfortunate, the times i truly feel like dying and killing myself was when i was job searching, it was absolute failure, i just got ghosted again and again until i give up because i literally felt despair and i didn't know what to do anymore both irl and online

in february i have to see my psychiatrist
>>
>>80119589
>it just stopped working
not him but if you still have the hard drive for that PC, all you need is a sata cable and your PSU should have another power slot for it
plug both in and you can access your old stuff
>>
>>80119589
Yeah, Windows is going down the shitter. I've seen stuff that debloats Windows and removes a lot of the junk they install for you, so there is that option. I'd check the PSU if it doesn't start up at all.

Also look inside to see if you can spot any corrosion or broken wires/components. If you're lucky it could be a really easy fix, like just need to solder out a capacitor or like >>80119611 said just needing to use a different cable from your PSU to supply power to your hard drive or motherboard or whatever else. Also for the trip to psychiatrist, hope things go well.
>>
>>80119611
i still have the mother board of that old pc before it stop working, but there is another problem, i'm a poorfag who never had a job and probably never will

i also stopped posting on /v/, i swear i still love games, i used to play super smash bros 64 and marvel vs capcom 3 i remember being good a it, ness and frank west were my mains

but i'm a unemployed robot, i can't play games if i can't even afford/emulate them anymore

but i keep up with emulation, i'm happy that emulation keeps going strong DESPITE the fact emulations can die the moment a company threats to sue
>>
>>80119686
your motherboard won't do you any good, your hdd/ssd is where things are stored
also, no offense but you're starting to sound like someone who has a victim complex, we're all in our own pickles here
all we can do is make the best out of the cards we've been dealt, so see if you got your old storage drive and you might be able to recover your stuff from your old PC

>emulations can die the moment a company threats to sue
they tried, they didn't succeed
specific emulators may get shut down but there are so many of them out there that it's a losing battle
to them, suing emulator developers is like cutting down a hydra, for each head you cut off, another 3 grow in place
not only that but they get almost no sales from those old ass consoles anymore, they'd be spending more on taking legal action than they'd make with the sales increase in those (if there would be any)
emulating newer consoles though (switch, ps5, etc.) is touchy and would probably result in a lawsuit though, but it's complicated enough that it's already a struggle for developers to come up with a fast enough emulator in the first place
tl;dr you'll be fine emulating older consoles, no need to worry about that
>>
>>80119755
yeah you're right, i already have znes and it runs fine here, gonna pick more roms later
>>
>>80119816
good, have fun rom hunting
i personally like retroarch, pretty convenient when you can just swap cores on a single emulator to run different consoles
i use it for n64, sega genesis/cd, and ps1/ps2
bunch others there though, maybe you'll want to look into it
>>
>>80119837

an airbnb is easier to rent since no paperwork required and shit, but renting a place requires some more studying, signing papers, sometimes an advance deposit or some insurance, etc.
less bureaucracy for an airbnb, perfect for arriving somewhere new

Basically, she's one of those people who make being a gay mess and consuming energy drinks their entire personality and brag about it on socials. She was also underage by the time we became friends and considering that in my country they're on the same level as booze and you can't even buy them without ID makes it all even worse.
>What about ur former fren? Why aren't u frens anymore?
Well, long story short: were friends for about a year and a half, then me we had a fight and so the admin of the discord server we were in made me "apologize" for things I "apparentaly" did to everyone else there (I didn't do anything obvs.) then proceeded to call me a shithead and other such words and that she will "hurt me through words" if I try to contact them again (whatever that means lol). Then they released a "callout" where they straight up accoused me of "grooming" (again, I didn't do anything to any of them). But I learned my lesson never to get close to zoomers ever again.

they're not fans of a deployment tool that's immensely helpful in setting shit up so there's no "it works on my machine" issues?
lol, lmao even
at the very least then write a pair of scripts to set all that shit up then, one in bash and another in powershell
it's extremely inconvenient having to go through all these steps just to set up a solution, even more so if you're automating things (like with ansible or something)

I hope you get a comfy salary! You seem capable of handling social interactions.

Ya, I can empathize with that, and I can empathize with them, too. Imo bare metal is comfy. No docker volume surprises; no docker container networking; better monitoring; fine controls during set up is better on metal; better performance on Windows and Mac.

Please tell me if I'm wrong on any of that, but it's my understanding

it could be, sure

>No docker volume surprises
what surprises would even happen? also you can always just map it to a managed directory rather than the default path if you really want to
>no docker container networking
it tends to be simpler than actual networking in your infrastructure
also embedded DNS so you don't even need to worry about IP addresses, i'd say that's a plus lol
>better monitoring
bit rusty on observability but i'm quite certain tools like datadog/prometheus have some really good docker integration since it's used fucking everywhere these days (especially with kubernetes or docker swarm)
>fine controls during set up is better on metal
better how?
also if you have to do it manually, that means it's susceptible to human error, hence me bugging you about the scripts
>better performance on Windows and Mac.
if performance really mattered, you'd be using C or even java rather than python
the moment you chose python as your implementation tool, you already stopped worrying about performance in favor of convenience
the end user can't tell the difference between 2ms and 20ms despite one being 10x faster than the other

Yeah, it's actually not the only case of the young individuals and adults being classified as different species before having to be collapsed into whichever one was classified first. Iirc there were some reasons to think that T. rex and a newer species in their family are like this, where the newer species is argued more recently to be a juvenile T. rex. Or looking into it again, apparently it's been reversed?

And then an article arguing Nanotyrannus is a real genus https://newatlas.com/science/nanotyrannus-tyrannosaurus-t-rex-separate-species/

>i never understood why they don't out right kill the shark before they harvest the cuts they want. it also seems inefficient
Sharks tend to have tons of urea in their blood and tissue and it's a pain to get that all out for them to not taste a bit gross when you cook them, that might be why. Why put in the effort for meat that people won't buy? Cruel but it's profit motivated in the end.

Probably gambling but I try not to do it often these days. I'd also like to go down to the track here just to see what it's like. I had the opportunity to go to an alumni thing at one of the fancy boxes there but I didn't own a suit so couldn't go. A while ago I signed up for every bookie I could find and made arbitraged bets with the signup offers and made a few hundred that way. Felt very devilish but I guess it wasn't really gambling.

Honestly, no idea. They themselves admitted in that doc that they have little understanding of what actually happened and for me, the last few months we were friends are rather foggy because I was heavily medicated (years passed like they were a dream, as Shigeru Mizuki put it once). But I think they've just grown tired of me + jealous that unlike half of them (the Monster addict and the admin especially) I don't have daddy/mommy issues and somewhat have my life together too. In the end they all proved themselves to be backstabbing untrusty cunts. Oh well, they can all go die in the hole for all I care, I'm much happier without them.

Fasting once a week, avoiding sugar(and reducing carbs in general), exercise and hyperthermia therapy all can go a good way in helping out your parents.

Fasting has three effects as far as cancer is concerned. First it acts as a metabolic break check of sorts. Cancerous cells that are virulently reproducing will die during a fast. This leads into the second effect which is selecting for slower growing cancers which are thus less deadly, as the most rapidly dividing cells die. Thirdly fasting has an effect of freeing up the killer cells(a subset of immune cells that kill dysfunctional of suspicious cells within the body) within your body less harmless junk to concern themselves with.

The hyperthermia therapy is adjunctive therapy, meaning it can be paired with other primary forms of fighting cancer without interfering with them negatively. One of the mechanisms known for it to help with killing tumors is that the environment within a tumor is acidic and hypoxic(relative to surrounding tissues), thus the added stress and heat not only cooks the cells but does so more effectively on tumors due to those two factors. Hope it helps.

>Yah there's just no way to properly avoid that kind of thing I suppose, spoiled apples and all that
There is one way, but it requires the community to not be open and to be hostile to elements it doesn't like. To my knowledge the degenerates have won in that community so it's a lost cause.

Also wew, too much fun and too much cold for little you. I use Blender also for my editing, it's free and basic enough. Working on editing right now too B^). How's your day been so far?
>>80128517
Well you'll want to have some kind of distinct identity if you want an admirer on this site. The problem is though that you'll get far more antagonistic responses than cherished ones. The OP of this thread has quite a few people who hate his guts.

Ahaha ya i never did that again!! Honestly no idea how ancient humans dealt with it maybe we just went south like the birds do kek. I heard of blender too!! Idunno how any of that stuff works but is it similar to photoshop? I only used editing stuff for making memes, hope es turning out well!

>yeah that was pretty mean, but don't u feel a little sad that u got betrayed like that?
Honestly? Not really with a capital not. I can't even remember how exactly I ended up among them, I guess I'm just good at putting on a disguise of a good guy but once reality came biting them on the ass they paniced and pressed abort. I don't feel bad for them, number one rule is to not trust strangers several years older than you, especially online. Especially with your personal info. When I was in their discord corner they both vented nearly everyday, how their parents suck how they hate life and etc. yet the one time I poured my soul out (once) they immidiately screamed at me for being "off-topic" and silenced me for 3 days and demanded an apology, that's when I realized it's time to abandon ship. They don't like it when you don't follow their weird rules.
They can pride themselves with "chasing a p3d0 off the internetz" all they want but in the end the only one who gets the worst is me, just because I've been struggling with memory issues for years and can't memorise a few things. Sooner or letter even their "friends" will turn away from them, simply because of this modern left self-canabalizing mindset of wanting cancel everyone. I want them to realize it and stop trying to be thought police and do their math homework, but at the same time I want them to get a taste of their medicine. I was betrayed before, now I want them to get a knife in the back too. Not for revenge, but an eye for an eye. I may be a coward for running away, but people who make their entire internet presence of being scumbags who will bite anyone they deem "problematic" are way worse.
>have u had any wholesome dreams?

> Honestly no idea how ancient humans dealt with it maybe we just went south like the birds do kek.
I think some hunter gatherers did stuff like that, but territorial boundaries wouldn't always permit it. A lot of use of fires and thick fur clothing was definitely necessary. Caves can also remain at fairly warm temperatures during winter and cooler ones during the summer. Their temperature remains largely stable. It's why I want to live in a bunker or a cave or a mine so bad B^). That and my aversion to the sun and people.

Nice, I vacuumed my room and tried to do a weird thing with my mom's orange cupcakes. She used orange concentrate on them so they were way too sour and they had no icing. I ended up mixing it with vanilla ice cream and it wasn't so bad. Also video editing stuff too.

Surprisingly dinosaurs are kind of a blindspot in my collection of knowledge as far as paleontology goes B^). I'm way more interested in invertebrate paleontology, the mysteries involved in all of that(I have a few video ideas relating to my hypotheses for them too) and the precambrian. I did have a big dinosaur phase as a little kid too though, I think I even mentioned in a thread or two ago about how I played pretend with my sister as dinosaurs and we stole eggs from the fridge to guard in our blanket nest.
>would you try shark given the chance?
Oh yeah, but I'd prefer to catch it myself B^). I did used to fish quite a bit, although I'd need like a kayak or a canoe to do it from the shore for sharks.
>i tried it before at a seafood place. it was flavorless
rip, I wonder if bonnetheads would be flavorless too. I know that shark fins are really bland too from what people have said and that it's the medicinal and texture aspects that bring people to eat it.
>true, true. such is life!
But that does make it a lot easier to remedy B^). One only needs to make it more profitable to do a better option to the point where it's unprofitable to do the old one. Innovation can save much of the glory of the natural world.

Since it's a PSP game, it's designed for short sessions and has a bunch of short missions rather than one long one, a bit like MGSV. It's also on the easier side and the mechanics are simplified. But I'm a sucker for games with a bunch of side-stuff.

I was worried when I made my first, but it was simple enough to get done in a few hours. They make kits for beginners which might be a good place to start. Personally I'd recommend a 30 Minutes Mission kit since those are quite straightforward. Or a 30 minutes sisters kit if you're into that.

Yup and usually it's rare. Normally people have to fuck up or do something dumb. Kids are more likely to get attacked, dogs even more so iirc. The adults who get attacked are either doing something they know they shouldn't be doing or feeding them and letting their guard down. Kids and dogs don't really know better though. It's nothing short of a miracle that I didn't get eaten as a kid.

most of us can't even feed ourselves without others who provide the food or the materials for us to cook with
but you can do a good deal of stuff yourself, you may need to interact with others but you're the one making things happen
no one's born knowing shit, you have to figure it out yourself

>are you sure you still don't feel things even if they don't show up on the surface?
after they fizzle out, they're more like a distant memory rather than something that actively burns like that
i can't say i don't feel a thing, but it's so insignificant at that point that i might as well say it's been successfully suppressed
i just hope no one *ahem* around here tries to make that shit burn again, so for both our sakes, let's forget i ever said anything about this topic at all
i promise i won't mention it again to you

scented candles

enough to be isolated from society, if need be
i'm one of those people who always finds a way through any hurdles

ah, misconception then

taking it easy in minecraft while massacring bosses
went from echostorm to a runic invocation book, has a lot more spells now
only 3 spells by default, of each school (fire, frost, arcane), but each cast give you a mark of that spell
there's a 4th spell which changes effect based on which stacks you have, and how many (e.g. 2 fire + 1 arcane casts a supernova around you, but 2 arcane + 1 fire casts a fast moving meteor instead)
i quite like it, very versatile and has a lot of damage and crowd control
also got an artifact weapon now, cinderstone staff
even stronger than the crystal staff and has bonuses for fire, frost and holy power too

>>80134051
>why did u switch from incenses to scented candles?
anon, i said it up there, i'm sick of having to light up an incense every hour
one of those candles lasts 7 days, an incense lasts 1 hour

>what's a tapioca?
it's a flour made from cassava, you can make some nice wraps with it
some people instead make balls with it and put it in tea, aka bubble tea

>don't u get sick from eating the same food every day for a week?
uh no? it takes spoiled food to make me sick, and even then
if you mean bored then no, if it's tasty then i can gladly eat the same thing for a week straight

Yeah, caiman are in the same group as alligators. They have lots of osteoderms(protective boney plates in their skin) too. Doing a domestic fox breeding style program on them would be really good. They're the proper size to be manageable by people and they're also so cool. Their temper and flighty nature is just a problem, but if they come to actually love being around people and won't bite or whip their tails then they'd be absolutely beloved.
