It's not all bad, I'm old enough to see all the girls from my past grow old, some of these girls that used to make me fluster and squirm with awkwardness have turned into disasters. The guys too, quite a few of my old enemies are dead, I've aged 100x better than so many of the survivors. These might seem like bitter and petty hot takes about the benefits of growing older (they are) but I have others, its just that everyone can probably guess and nobody gives a fuck about them and the above might give some of you something to look forward to.The obvious agonising regrets linger but those were all in place a decade ago, on the downside nothing new has been added to the mix.
>>80126029If you could do things differently what would you change? Do you have any advice for younger robots?
>>80126029What year were you born?
Nothing about friends, cool stuff you have, your professional life, any fun hobbies or trips? Nope just less wrinkles than literal whos from the past? That's all you got right now? I feel bad for you bro
>>801260431985>>80126042There lots of things I would change with the benefit of hindsight but I don't beat myself up about those, stuff like taking money more seriously when I was young isnt something I wouldnt ever have done as the environment during my formative coming-of-age years was very different, even in the mid 2000s working a mediocre wagecuck retail job was still putting you in position to do basic shit like have a car and your own place (in my area at least). The advice I would give to my older self would be a bit different to the advice I give to young people now, especially regarding finances and women (consider that when I was a teenager/early 20s there was still barely any social media or dating apps, whole other paradigm), the only thing that would really stay the same is dont waste your 20s and early 30s potential to get in shape.I didnt start lifting or working out until I was about 33 and even the difference between 33 and 36/37 was stark in terms of how easy it was and the recovery times involved, to any of you out there now who are young unfit fatfucks you have to do what you can to lose it before you mid that early 30s age. I say that not just from my own experience but form what I've seen in others around me, as time ticks forward it gets exponentially harder to get your fitness in line.I say fitness rather than saying 'get ripped' as it goes beyond aesthetics, you have a natural advantage when youre in your 20s that its retarded to sit on.
>>80126046Read the words I typed after that>but I have others, its just that everyone can probably guess and nobody gives a fuck about themI have more money than when I was younger, I have a good position in my career, these are hardly surprising benefits of living until 40. As for friends, relationships, hobbies etc thats summed up in the last line. All the things I seem to be missing in my life today have been missing for a long time.
>>80126126Seems like pretty good advice. Wonder if anyone will take it to heart.
>>80126149You sound like you're lying
>>80126152Its pretty obvious advice to give anyone, learn what diet works for you and find some exercise that you like, the twist isnt even the declining returns from age as everyone knows its moreso the lack of intensity that last part is pressed with.People older than me and deep into old age will all say the same thing.I could give people lots of advice on an individual level but the fitness thing is a catch all that everyone needs to wake up to.
>>80126167I'm not sitting here making any outrageous claims. What part is it you think I am lying about?
>>80126029Happy birthday, OP! ^_^7
>>80126334Thank you!Been an ok day, no different to any other.
Hey, old fart. Remember Tiny Toon Adventures? Yeah you do. Let's watch some cartoonies!https://youtu.be/KnHNPMMvCCY?si=2y4kn3nBdM_b8bEi
Tell me what the early internet was like, grandpa.
>>80126029how would you rate your life up to this point?
>>801292763/10Still have my health at least, I've never taken any sort of medicine for anything, don't recall ever being injured or whatever, which you could argue makes life a 0/10 as it leaves no excuse for not finding a girlfriend that sticks, friends etc>>80128084It was harder to use and a bit smarter, communities were segregated little collections of people passionate about topic x or y were left to bounce off each other all day. When we started getting all the hub websites like youtube, reddit, facebook etc everything dumbed down, which is fine and expected as what drove that centralisation was the rapid entry into the space of new people, the more people that are in any one place the more likely it is that the groups collective IQ starts dropping to the median (retards). Broadly content ends up being curated for and generated by them, people had to start communicating with each other differently.Thats different to the old internet, closer to real life.
>>80126029So you got to see the birth and death of the internet. That must have been incredible, the unique internet culture that existed early on, no bots or third world ESL cringe, just a community of semi reclusive people creating their own worldDo you remember what it was like?

>>80129559Yeah I remember it, the post above yours asked a similar question. The rumours about the extremes of all kinks/interests being freely available to find and browse are true, its probably a net positive for the world that forums for people discussing how to break into houses, rape communities, how to kill people etc arent as easy to find as forums on building model railways but thats the world we lived in.
