>chances of finding fresh local is slim, but still definitely better prices than some places in the world for decent quality.
guess we're lucky in that regard, but i live in a rural area. it's one of the few upsides. and if you want better quality meat here without having a decent butcher or local farmer who sells it, than you're still better of buying irish or spanish meat. hard to get quality anything these days. :/

>it's a big chain and even people get pissed, some will still keep going.
pretty much this. as long as they don't do some really stupid shit that beats people's inertia, they're pretty much good.

>Some quality control on the meat cuts is all i ask for
as long as you at least get that it's fine, i suppose. keep looking for the good stuff, though.

>I wish I personally didn't have to deal with those types as much as I unfortunately run into them
sadly we can't choose with what people we have to deal with any given day. all you can try is to stay decent yourself, but i'm not seeing any issues in that regard. :>

hey people.. i might have a chance to meet a therapist soon, like 1 month later! the thing is i need some motivation to get the guts to tell someone from my family about that, because i probably can't easily go on my own, soo i just need some motivation to do it! so uhm it's kinda strange talking to irl relatives about meeting a therapist out of nowhere lol, sooo yeah. i will also say that i need to understand what's wrong with my serotonin or whatever is wrong so i could fix it which will help me greatly with studying, and that's actually true i won't be lying by saying this.

hey yuanon, how are you?
>i live in a rural area. it's one of the few upsides.
I think I'd rather take the slight convenience of slightly built up then have cheaper meat still either way. The thing that bothers me most about rural areas is how hard it is to get fresher fruit. I notice this everytime I go away is certain regions of this country it seems really hard to get it, and that's a big negative for me
> all you can try is to stay decent yourself
never going to have to deal with being one of those people, since I'm not cut out for it. I see how evil and cruel some of those people are, I don't want to be in the position I have to do similar even if I could. Feel like there's pressure to be that way in those positions, so only people who like being that way tend to survive.

>>82666369
hey rm!
good luck coming up with your story. I don't think the idea you have is necessarily bad. It sound plausible enough But don't feel too embarrassed about doing it. I know it's not the easiest conversation in the world, but I feel like most people are pretty understanding.

well, i'm not like absoulutely out there. still one of the bigger towns, but i suppose even bigger towns can be very far away from each other in the states. i just feel the quality of produce in general has been declining, no matter where you are. just the same few shitty tasteless sorts everywhere. >:[
>>
>>82666538
>and that's a big negative for me
understandable. i try to eat locally and in season a bit more anyway, so it's not that big a concern for me.

>never going to have to deal with being one of those people, since I'm not cut out for it
me neither. :/

>Feel like there's pressure to be that way in those positions, so only people who like being that way tend to survive.
lots of mixed signals being send out out to people about how they should behave and the ones who don't give a shit in the first place get a head start while everyone else tries to make sense of it.

>>82666674

like i told cat, got done earlier than my late day yesterday, so pretty good and doing some gaming for a bit.
>well, i'm not like absoulutely out there. still one of the bigger towns
didn't think you were that bad, I've been some very remote places here and think those kind of places are hard to find over there unless you go really out of the way since we have parts of the country barely settled ever. Even in bigger cities in some parts of the country, it's just hard to find certain things I'm used to on the coast.
>>82667056
> i try to eat locally and in season a bit more anyway
I can do in season, but just too hard to stick local. Not going to be able to eat pineapple that way D:
> the ones who don't give a shit in the first place get a head start while everyone else tries to make sense of it.
For sure, but I'm not jealous of them for it. I have a friend (might want that in quotations but I guess I care enough not to) who I could consider very successful, but is one of the coldest, most manipulative, and kind of mean person I've ever known. If that's what you need to be successful, I don't want to be.

we're definitely not used to not having things available at all time anymore. ^^

>are you applying it, buying it or just looking it up?
I was just messing around with some eyeshadow ideas, nothing big.

>wanna talk about what happened?
It's a very long and depressing story but to keep it brief; I'm sobering up after years of heavy drug use, of which my actions from said use caused a rift between my family, friends and lovers. I basically wrecked my life over the course of a year and no matter how much I'm showing a willingness to improve nobody gives me a break. Not to mention most of my problems are spiritually bypassed with the typical small town american southern christian surface level bullshit. I digress, we all have our copes lol.

>doesn't matter here in the slightest.
I figured, I usually don't use this board so I'm new to the culture... I mean aside from the pre-established stereotypes.
What make u start using r9k, yuanon?

>>82666898

Eating disorder hasn't let up one bit, went from being able to at least stay a week bulimia free, down to 3 days, now I'm on my 18th day in a row binge/purging :/ I guess on the bright side I've managed to significantly cut down on the self harm to just once every few weeks or so (I did relapse just yesterday :/)

yep that's nice
it's because people were posting through the night so it didn't get to page 10
>thinking about how would i hide the self harm thing
I feel the best thing is maybe not tell them about it at least not immediately
of of you want to tell them you probably should say that you thought about hurting yourself or something of that sort instead of saying that you do it
mostly because if your tell them you do ot that means you're w danger to yourself and they might put you in a ward

And how was your summer and what
kind of stuff do you do to have fun?
>>
I guess a few more updates if anyone cares or remembers me? Its currently finals season so I'm just trying to survive. I'm not sure if I've talked about my final year project here but I ended up having to drop the entire thing because I made zero progress on it (due to bulimia). I'm supposed to start interning next semester but I haven't managed to land a position yet :/ So far out of all the companies I've sent my CV to I've only gotten 2 responses, actually interviewed for one just this morning and another will be on friday. I'm terrible at talking with strangers so I feel like I completely flopped the one this morning and will do the same for the next :(

>>82674329
>And you did manage to get better with sh so good work o7
yeah I guess its one or the other, but I'm glad I at least manage to keep it down to mostly one of the two
>pictures in cs1.6 maps and make like postcards, like here
those are really nice! I'd imagine those images would be really nostalgic for some people :>
>And how was your summer and what kind of stuff do you do to have fun?
well I pretty much have permanent summer in my country so it wasn't really any different ^^'

I try to be positive but honestly between the time I last posted here and now every day has been a blur to me and I can't really recall anything significant.

Happy birthday to 4chan. It's always been kinda shit, but it's enjoyable shit

>what u playing?
Yakuza 2 some more. Wasting time on every single mini game before continuing the plot
>and how do u prep?
ironing clothes, getting bags together. etc. When I go to work, the least amount of stuff i need to remember in the morning the better
>no one pays them, people just do it because they want to and that's very lovely
indeed. Lots of respect for modders who do stuff with games I like. Huge projects that last multiple years thanks to people who just love certain games

job searching is hard for a lot of people now. I know here it's bad, but imagine most of the world it's a bit harder than normal right now, so just don't feel too bad about it
> terrible at talking with strangers
used to be my biggest issue interviewing too. Just try to relax ahead and talk your way through. Practicing is the biggest part, even practice the casual soft question type stuff if it makes you feel more comfortable. It's a skill that even if you're still uncomfortable talking a lot day to day life, you can learn to be better with interviews still

lol no but that would be funny. If I'm ever that busy I'd be very very concerned. Usually just eat cereal anyway
>wonder if there are any biger mods for newer games
sure there are, but suppose newer is relative. I play games from 20 years ago, but even looking back something like fallout 4 is 10 years old now... suppose bigger mods have been worked on for years before release, so it's reasonable the game itself is old by the time they get it out

Thanks for listening to my rant the other day, guys. Anyway, since today happens to be the anniversary of 4chan, I wanted to ask the following: How did you first start using 4chan? How long ago was that? What's your favorite thing about this site?
I've visited this site a few times in the past 5 or so years, and I've come to use it more so in the past year, especially upon finding this general. I like the format and layout of it, and I also enjoy the anonymity a bit, and that it doesn't require an account.

>What's your favorite thing about this sit
I like that you can attach images to any post so often people post interesting images just to decorate their reply and that you can reply to multiple people at once
and especially I like how anyone can say anything and there's no stupid upvotes or anything else that makes someone reply more important that someone elses It feels at least for me like everyones words have (almost) the same chance of being noticed while in basically all other social media only maybe the top 10 comments get noticed and your thoughts will probably not be seen by anyone
Also i like the design of this site and many other things really

That's also a huge plus, but it does come with the tradeoff that it leads to certain groups people spreading really stupid ideas, but I guess that's the price~

there is slight corn flavor to those though which is kinda nice. But I do prefer my cheerios. Kinda toasted taste even if it's simple
>EA is gone too now
to be fair, i don't think EA ceasing to exist would even make EA worse than EA was the past years
>I wonder if there wall be a crash like that one in the 90s or 80s when it all collapsed
doubtful, as much as people online complain about these game devs, as long as people still blindly buy stuff they'll do fine.

i have too many random one off appliances, tools for cooking, stuff like that. Not a big kitchen area, so moved some of that elsewhere, which led to piling boxes in rooms I don't use. Once that starts, easy to justify pushing more in there

Hi Yuanon
>the joy of wasting money
is it really wasting money if you enjoy it though? I've never had any regrets about buying an anime figure, only ever spending it on money for serious things.
>but also have to get shit done at the same time
I hear you on that. I don't know what kind of time frame people are on with these and imagine it's not always pleasant. My biggest gripe is I've had times when I can damn well tell that damage to boxes is used as pretense to see if there's anything worth stealing. Doesn't happen with the regular delivery people, but I've had stuff not show up till I filed a complaint and other times packages were clearly opened/re-sealed.
> that way we can spend some time together.
can always appreciate how good mmo's are at bringing people together.
> some canned peaches
some fruits do better than others I feel, since to me that doesn't sound as gross as the pineapple is to me.
>guess it'll always be a pipe dream.
Becoming hard and hard to live comfortably with even a moderate income and trying to work hard to succeed. I can understand people who've given up trying to work considering whole thing is just one big shit test that rewards people who put up with less and less each year.

It's a weird sensation, thinking about distant memories. I think back on past stuff and sometimes question whether or not the things I'm thinking over happened or if I'm imagining it all. I've had moments where I swear I had experiences I know I didn't and questions things that did.

makes sense. those tend to be bad and unforseen anyway, so it's usually not fun to have to pay up when they come around.

>My biggest gripe is I've had times when I can damn well tell that damage to boxes is used as pretense to see if there's anything worth stealing.
i hear you. we had some asshole driver actually steal packages from our storage. scum of the earth, i tell you. and i see more and more signs of that on the packages as well. and if i can feel that there's an item in the letter people want to send or if it feels and looks like a birthday card, i always try to persuade them to send them with tracking and insurance. this stuff always gets stolen. after some time working there you just get a feeling for this stuff and when stuff gets stolen people always blame us for it.
>>
>>82681336
>other times packages were clearly opened/re-sealed.
sometimes it has to be because the package got that damaged during transit, but here it's always clearly stated on the new packaging that it had to be done. then there's the shitty plastic bags that rip open as soon as you grab them. but yeah, you usually can tell the difference between a package that wasn't handled properly and one that was opened to check. just yesterday i had my suspicions about two packages from adidas i handed out to a customer, but after looking at them, they might just have been cheap garbage. big corpo cutting costs and all that.

gotta head out soon, see you guys later.
>>
>>82681336
dang. forgot to reply to the rest of your post. head's somewhere else atm...

>can always appreciate how good mmo's are at bringing people together.
true. at least you've got something to do while hanging out, but i feel like paying a monthly subscription is slowly killing the genre. it's build more and more like a trap for the people who can't get out and will die with them. guess there's a reason why private servers are growing in popularity.

>to me that doesn't sound as gross as the pineapple is to me.
i feel like those peaches have avery nice texture, but as you said, just cooked in sirup until it's basically just that. not the healthiest snack do get. there's a sort of pie here that's a crust, then a layer of fruit (usually cannned peaches or fresh strawberries) and then you seal it up with a layer of slightly sugared gelatine. pretty good, honestly. maybe i'll make one again.

>I can understand people who've given up trying to work considering whole thing is just one big shit test that rewards people who put up with less and less each year.
yeah. center-left government here is constantly complaining about how lazy everyone is and that we need to cut welfare and benefits. chancelor just asked the question why people who work part-time (around 450 euro) or minimum wage don't just work for 2000 euro a month instead. and for some reason everyone is wondering why the big fat meanie altright populist party is growing every election. i wonder why... they're just a bunch of opportunistic russian and chinese spies with no actual solution to any of those issues, but they're also not the guys seen as responsible for what's happening. just how that goes.

Emergencies happen I guess you need to, but I mean not just that stuff but other stuff too. I feel less and less like my time in school was worthwhile money
> some asshole driver actually steal packages from our storage.
that's annoying as like you said, a lot of hands go onto these types of things as things move place to place. Gives people who are just trying to work a hard time when stuff goes missing too. Why I don't hurl accusations at anyone unless it's clear. only done it one time when I didn't get a package and a driver clearly uploaded a picture as proof that was so zoomed in you couldn't see where the package actually was.
>ometimes it has to be because the package got that damaged during transit
i give the benefit of the doubt as needed and get sometimes it's necessary, but I'm also naturally distrustful because where I live and I know for a fact temp drivers will steal a bunch of shit, run, and then hope no one bothers them. This happens every year here and between that and underpaid warehouse workers, lots of people stealing anything they think they can get away with.
> somewhere else atm
you do have to get out soon, so understandable. I'm at home a lot of work days so less pressured those days
> a monthly subscription is slowly killing the genre.
i could never get into mmo's at all, but that does seem like one downside. I just struggle since I don't do a great job when it comes to playing games with other people.

>t how lazy everyone is and that we need to cut welfare and benefits

>>
>>82681613
> they're also not the guys seen as responsible
politics in a nutshell. It goes back and forth every 4 or 8 years because the one side fucks it up since no one has any idea what they're doing, so people vote in an equally out of touch person who's saying the opposites things of the person who messed things up prior. really were for me. I guess the problem I had was I couldn't get an internship or make friends in school because I had 0 confidence, so I wasn't getting proffessional experience and wasn't having fun either, I just stayed home played games and posted on 4chan.
>I'll try to find something I suppose just to do
if it's just 2 weeks, even gaming would be better. Wouldn't recommend trying to fill too much time, but it's not too long I'd say that it's a bad idea.

Hello anon o/
how's it going?

>>82682883
I don't have one but I assume it can vary from sending you to a ward to just trying to help you find other ways to cope
It probably depends on the therapist and how dangerous or out of control the self harm is
I personally feel it's best to tell the therapist the you have thoughts about self harm rather than admitting to doing it, at least at first, to see their reaction
>>
hello two days thread! hello everyone!

i think i slept back then, yeah i finally had long time to sleep after like 5 days of suffering, i finally slept enough

>just relaxed and watch stuff on yt then I went and took pics of another cs map and made another picture
woah could you show me the picture? and btw how's the girls' last tour going?
>through the night so it didn't get to page 10
yep :] til this moment

>thought about hurting yourself
>might put you in a ward
being in a ward could be like death to me, i believe it should be for people with more serious problems than mine

but doesn't the idea of "thinking about hurting myself" have the same result of just saying "i wanna hurt myself" ?

self harm is a huge thing in my life, if i don't mention it i might have to skip like 80% of my problems, since like some other problems are related to self harm, in that case, doesn't a test or two for hormones of some sort help with getting diagnosed instead of telling a therapist my whole story?
>>

I'm enjoying the show a lot
it was very very cute when the girls got drunk
>same result of just saying "i wanna hurt myself" ?
not necessarily, it's just thoughts after all people have many thoughts but it gets more concerning when they turn into actions, It's sorta like with crimes, no one can arrest you (I think) for thinking about stealing something, you can only get on trouble once you try to steal
>if i don't mention it i might have to skip like 80% of my problems
yeah that might happen, but maybe you'll therapist will be nice and you won't have to hide anything from them

That true. replying with images often replaces points that could take paragraphs or be misinterpreted as defensive. Memes make the argument funny and disarm.

I'll add that the upvote system just encourages people to repeat group approved jokes rather than add something new. Repeating the same joke but worse is always a sure fire way to get upvotes on reddit. Here, there is no filter and no arbitrary standard to appease.

>I feel less and less like my time in school was worthwhile money
i think that we have to rethink the education system from the ground up. to be indebted for the rest of your life because you wanted to get higher education is just insane. i feel like it's only worth it if you can buy your way into certain societal circles that way.

>Why I don't hurl accusations at anyone unless it's clear.
that's very considerate. i usually get blamed by people that i warned before and that decided a few bucks more isn't worth it to make sure that the money or gift cards actually reach their destination. i actually should refuse to send it when they do that.

>a driver clearly uploaded a picture as proof that was so zoomed in you couldn't see where the package actually was.
yeah. we only found out because the guy went back to the country he came from and posted a pic of the stuff he stole as a last fuck you.

>I'm also naturally distrustful because where I live and I know for a fact temp drivers will steal a bunch of shit, run, and then hope no one bothers them.
sadly it's always right to assume the worst until proven otherwise. :/ we also had a coworker that stole quite a bit of money. weirdly enough she decided to do that when i was on vacation, so one less possible culprit was around. she wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

>lots of people stealing anything they think they can get away with.
guess it's this "everyone does it..." mindset that you can find at every step of the ladder that makes people act like this.

>i could never get into mmo's at all
i only played world of warcraft and warhammer online because of the ip. wouldn't recommend the genre if you don't like the setting or have a group of friends to play it with. back in the day i played mostly solo, but leveling and questing in those worlds was fun enough for me.

>can't i get somehow diagnosed without having to tell a therapist about everything especially self harm?
you could start with depression. maybe tell them and the people around you that you think you might have it? then you can get more specific if you're ready for it. catbro's plausible deniablity approach isn't a bad idea, either. admit thinking about it before you admit doing it.

angry customers are inevitable. I learnt to treat them like a plank of wood. you're upset because you're treating them like a rational person making a choice. You get upset when your job is to hammer in wood. your job is to put in the right input to make angry customer go somewhere.
besides, from their prospective, anger is the last resort of a helpless soul. They usually just lass out due to a perceived lack of options.

>I learnt to treat them like a plank of wood. you're upset because you're treating them like a rational person making a choice. You get upset when your job is to hammer in wood. your job is to put in the right input to make angry customer go somewhere.
you're right. usually i manage to do that, but there's always that one person who knows how to push your buttons.

>They usually just lass out due to a perceived lack of options.
i get that. they're dealing with a face corporation that refuses to interact with them. at least that makes it easier to side with them. i found that usually helps.

>>82686557
>it's okay
i think so, too.

>sport shoes from the west used to be pretty desirable and those were mainly adidas from germany
makes sense. the story of the founders is actually quite interesting. two brothers who had a big argument about something, so they split up, one keeping adidas, the other founding puma. there's also a movie about it. funnily the aldi-brothers have a similar story. one wanted to sell cigarettes, the other didn't, so they split the company in half. one taking the northern, one the southern businesses (hence called aldi north and south).

>I kinda funny what things people choose to give names to instead of just describing what they are
here it's usually some sort of abbreviation:

haribo (HArald RIegel, BOnn; name of the founder and the city he's from)

adidas (adolf "ADI" DASsler; name of the founder)

zewa (ZEllstofffabrik WAldhof; name of the production facility)

you get the idea. though if you'd ask anyone on the street, not many people would know.

>Did you eat anything extra nice today?
i got a black sesame cookie on my way to work, but it wasn't very work-friendly. ^^' it was tasty, but suoer crumbly and the dusted black sesame stuck to my fingers every time i picked it up. it was a mess.

>I'll have to keep working on that project but now I'm just taking a break from that
a well deserved one.

>I'll be sleepin soon

>>82686829
>you will have a comfy night after all that work knowing that you have a weekend now!
the comfiest. i'm already in bed, so i'll see how long i can resist to fall asleep.

>i might do this too for what i need to learn
good luck finding someone you vibe with. that can take a few tries.

>thanks for reminding me, i literally forgot mentioning it, thanks really :D
it's what helped me a lot, so i constantly bring it up. ^^' glad it helped.

>i don't know what would happen
even more important to be cautious, then. stay safe.

>you mean alot to us too!!
